Drop and drag songs

Can anyone offer suggestions on what I can check in itunes that will allow me to drop and drag songs from one list/folder to another?

I had the same problem and i came up with a very simple solution that worked for me.
Step 1 Look for the folder where your mp3 is stored. (example My Music Folder)
Step 2 Right Click on the music file and select properties
Step 3 On the General tab UNCHECK read only and click OK or Apply
Step 4 Go to itunes and rightclick the music title
Step 5 Select Get info and paste or drag your Album artwork at the Artwork Tab.

I thought I was able to drop and drag

I have the songs that I have loaded onto my Ipod shuffle all playing well but my issue is the way my playlist is looking.
I thought I was able to drop and drag them around into whatever order I wanted once I had them all loaded. Now I am finding that what I thought is not the case at all. My friend is telling me that she IS able to still move them around the playlist.
What am I not doing?

HT2688 How can I "click and drag" songs from one shared library to another?

I have home sharing activated on my mom's computer and mine and before the newest version of itunes, we were able to click and drag songs from one users' library into the other. We are not able to do that now and I wanted to know if there was a way to do this in the newest version of itunes.

I am using a Windows computer first off, not sure if that makes a difference, When you say "click import" where is import. I can not find anything that says "import" to click.

The computer that I original used with my ipod touch is dead, so I am now synching and backing up to a new computer. I had to restore the software to this ipod. I can drop and drag my tunes back into the ipod, but not my apps.

I too have the problem: W7 64 bit. Drag and drop worked until yesterday when I "upgraded" to FF v 26.0 - I can no longer drag passwords etc from my password manager to website fields - a barred circle appears when I try to drag.
I tried pressing ESC (one profferred solution) and also reset FF to no avail.
This is more than annoying: some of my passwords are dozens of characters long and there's no way I can access sites by typing them in! I need a solution, even if it's reverting to a previous version.

There are no songs in my itunes library found when selecting autofill, and dragging songs into device does not do anything now what?

when i hit auto fill under music it just says Itunes cannot add any song to "___'s Iphone" because no songs in your itunes library could be found.
there clearly is an anbundance of music that I have been syncing all the time, I have not the slightest idea why it just stopped working, also when I try to manually click and drag songs into the device tab in itunes, NOTHING happens.

I have a very smilar problem. Recently imported my modest music collection from my old G3 CRT to a new Mac Mini by linking the two machines and then dragging the music library and songs over.
iTunes works fine in normal screen mode, music library is all there and all songs are visible and play but when trying to play back with the Apple Remote it opens up iLife ok and lists the playlists. Click on 'Songs' it says that there are no songs in the library. Click on any playlist then it goes to 'Shuffle Songs' then 'Error has occured' It can't seem to see the music library.

Tried but as yet no success. Tried re-naming the iTunes Music Library.xml and also deleting com.apple.frontrow.plist from Library and letting it rebuild without any luck.
Any suggestions out there as how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

Drop and drag object

Hi everybody,
I have a matter, I want to realise a
VI who makes drop and drag of indicator like a gauge for example.
For this I used an event structure to
manage the drop and drag. But the probleme is that with this solution
i must put the indicator in my program to set the properties node
(visible or position).
So the number of indicator that i can
drop and drag depend of the number of indicator that i declare in my
soft.
I want to know if there is an other
methode to do that.

Why can't I drop and drag my thumbnails into my program?

I scan multiple files and need to drop and drag certain thumbnails into another program. I am able to do this into a folder but not my program. Do I need to change a setting?

Drop and drag photos to a web page from iPhoto with IOSX

I have a Macbook Pro 2009 model and have always been able to drop and drag photos from iPhoto or the desktop to Facebook pages or emails
and since installing OS X Yosemite this feature no longer works. I see from other discussions that air drop only works for models of Mackbook later than 2012. Will there be a resolution for this issue for those of us with otherwise well functioning computers pre-2012?

Drop and drag attachments

Is there a way to default mail to show attachments as icons when composing a message? I always get a full document preview when I drop and drag.

Quit Mail, run Terminal and enter this command:
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool true

When I use Home sharing, I can see the library I want to copy, but when I highlight the library, the import button does not show up. Also, it will not let me drop and drag. How do I get music from one computer to the other computer?

I go to edit and "select all" but there is no import button that is in the right hand corner. Also, it will not let me click and drag the music. How do I get it from one computer to the other?

Since both computers are connected via the network, you could simply copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from one computer to another via the network.
If both computers are running Windows, use the Easy File Transfer Utility built into Windows to move iTunes and all other user media/data.

It should do. Which Playlist are you trying to re-arrange? Is it one you have created or one of the iTunes fixed ones? (Although it is possible to re-arrange the Recently Added Playlist, I would not recommend it.)

Hi i have a macbook air that we have some photos on and i have an external hardrive that we used to use on our laptop, i have tried to drag and drop folders on to the external hardrdive and it wont let me or copy and paste???
it just shows a circle with a diagonal line through it

I suspect that the external HDD is not formatted that will allow the MBA write to it. You will have to open Disk Utility>Erase and format it to Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Note that this will delete all data on the external HDD.

Manually manage songs and drag songs from library into ipod

I always use manually manage songs in itunes. Everything used to work fine until yesterday. I convert a cd into the library, and afterwards drag the songs into the ipod. now when i try to drag anything from the library nothing happens, and I dont get any error messages. Any help would be appreciated.
