Drop below reorder point - list or report?

Hi there,
I would like to create a list of all materials that dropped below the reorder point. Is there a report or transaction to squeeze that information out of the system or do I have to code my oun report?
If I have to code my oun report I would appreciate a little hint what tables are best to check and maybe even some criteria to check with.

I tried both but I am stuck with exception group 96. I dont have one of those...
MD04: I cant find any Exception groups at all. What frame, Tabstrip?
MD06: I got a frame calles Restrict selection and a tab strip with Exception groups. In that tab I got exception 1 "New, opening date in the past", 2 "New, start date in the past", ...8 "Terminations"... but no 96 at all.
Sorry for my incompetence... I am more into abap then user transactions..

Early Warning System setup for items below Reorder Point

Hello,
I am looking for information regarding the EWS for items falling below Reorder Point. It is my understanding this can be setup with an email notification as well. My issue is my plant runs 24/7 and my maintenance crew on the weekends could benefit from receiving notifications in real time on items that need to be rebuilt which we may have in the repair room. this will give the Shift Supervisor a better idea of how to manage the repair of the machine. This will also help our overall purchasing practice in general.

Hi,
System can not create automatic PR even though you have defined reorder point planning.
When you run MD01 for your plant, which are all materials stock below reorder point system will create PR.

Report for Reorder point, safety stock, current stock and fixed lot size

Hi,
Purchasing Dept. is looking for a report which can give list of materials falling below the reorder point, so that they can go ahead and create procurement proposals for those materials.
They also want to see the Reorder Point, Safety Stock, current stock and fixed lot size in the same report.
Let me know if there ia any standard report availbale which displays the same or any approach to get the same.

Hi,
There is no standard report because this is meant to be managed by the MRP run.
The MRP lists show all materials that have a problem (such as stock below reorderpoint) but MRP generates requirements for these anyway and so all you need to do is to look for the MRP generated requirements (requisitions?) and you have your list?
Are you using MRP?
If so then please use the standard functions in MRP to get this.
If not, then WHY NOT?

Web part created on a subsite for a sharepoint list in another site using sharepoint designer, to show only the subsite's reports. Connection dropping off and showing all the reports

I crated web parts in the sub-sites (we have about 10 subsites) using sharepoint designer from a main list in another site. Then used web part to show only the ubsite's reports - using connection to the main list. Problem is, the connection
is dropping off and showing all the reports on the main list that are confidential. this has happened 3 time lately. Could someone explain why it happens some times? I had to fix it by adding the web part again and connecting it

If you want to use a top level site "department" list column in all sub-sites, you can go to top level site and create a
lookup type "Site column" to look up the value from the department list, then all sub-sites can use this lookup type site column created in top level site.

Lead Time Demand on REORDER POINT REPORT ??

Hi ALL,
Hope you all doing greate , I am very new in Re order point Inventory Planning Method. I have done all the configuration as;
i - Creates an Item and assign it to the specific IO where I am selection the Planning method as Reorder point and enter the other paramters under the lead time tab I am seleting the total lead time as 5.
I have define safty stock as 100 quantity.
I have configure the Forecast Set and forcast under it which contain an Item with Current Quantity is 1000 now I have call the Report to run so I am getting the rest of the thing except value Lead Time Demand ??

Hi,
There is a standard report that shows the actual average LT compared to the master data definitions. You can also see the details, and even update master data automatically if you want; WPDTC.

1. MM02 - MRP 1 view, here enter MRP Type - VB, Lot Size - EX and then enter Quantity for Reorder Point generation
2. MD02 - MRP Run for Material with following Parameters
Material
Plant
Processing key          NETCH               Net change for total horizon
Create purchase req.    1                   Purchase requisitions
Delivery schedules      3                   Schedule lines
Create MRP list         1                   MRP list
Planning mode           3                   Delete and recreate planning data
Scheduling              1                   Basic dates will be determined for plann
Activate all "Process Control Parameters"
And then Press Enter.
System will give Planned Order/Purchase Req. if Stock of Material falls below the Reorder Point.
Also put some stock for the material so that you can analyze it in better way.

Unable to generate PO Requisition in Reorder point planning

I am running the REORDER POINT PLANNING REPORT, but after the completion of the report i am getting the error message Unable to generate PO requisition -- Check purchasing, order, and transaction flags on the item.
So kindly help me to get this issue resolved.

Have you checked the org item setup for the particular item? Is Purchased and Purchasable checked on the Purchasing tab? Is there a list price? On the inventory tab is the item stockable /transactable?

Reorder Point Methods - Context: APO SNP Heuristic

I spent some time on help.sap.com and on the application help trying to find a clear explanation of the various reorder point methods (numbered from 1 to 6), but I couldn't get clear one-sentence explanations of these 6 sub-methods.

I have to precise that the framework of my question is SNP heuristics. Reorder Point is also a concept used in PP/DS, and sometimes in my opinion one can easily be confused reading the on-line help with which statement is relevant for SNP Heuristics v which statement refers to PP/DS.
Having said that, here is my current understanding of the reorder point methods in the framework of SNP heuristics:
1 - Reorder stock based on location product master
The reorder point is read from the location product master (lot size tab, field reorder point)
The reorder point represents a threshold value for available stock on hand, which stock should not fall below in the planning.
2 - Reorder supply based on location product master 
The field Reorder Days Supply is used
The system reorders according to what is missing to cover the demand over the specified number of days, considering the stock on hand and the planned receipts.
3 - Maximum from MB and MR from location product master
Both the Reorder Point and the Reorder Days Supply fields are used
The Reorder Days Supply logic is used, but additionally the stock cannot fall below the Reorder Point
4 - Reorder Point (time-dependent maintenance)
Same as 1, however the reorder point is read from a KF rather than from master data
Additionally the Max Stock Level field is used
5 - Reporting Days Supply (time-dependent maintenance)
Same as 2, however the reorder days' supply is read from a KF rather than from master data
Additionally the Max Stock Level field is used
6 - Maximum from MB and MB (time-dependent maintenance)
Same as 3, however the reorder point and the reorder days supply are read from KFs rather than from master data
Additionally the Max Stock Level field is used

I can no longer organize my drop down book mark list ,from the toolbar in alphabetical order like I used to Why ?

Used to, I could organize my drop down book mark list from the tool bar, in alphabetical order from A-Z by clicking on view, sort by, select . Now every time I add a new bookmark it goes to the bottom of my bookmark list in Unsorted bookmarks . I can go to the bookmarks and sort the menu in Alpha. order. However, when I go back and drop down the bookmark list from the tool bar, the new bookmarks are still in the Unsorted list at the bottom. The bookmark's menu may or not have them in assorted list. This occurred several updates back. Why can I no longer sort the drop down book marks list in A-Z alph. order? This is a major obstacle when trying to search for a particular bookmark that I have made in the not too distant past.

That did solve my problem. Madperson Thank You Very Much!!!!! I'm not real literate on the mechanics of working computers even though I use them all the time. Basically I'm a point & click kinda guy and beyond that I'm pure novice! This is going to save me a lot of wasted time.

Can do this using SQl results in prompt(we write query checking out report names manualy),but its not easy thing if you are having many report names to be displayed.

Lot quantity to order for a material set as reorder point planning

Dear All,
Suppose the requirements of a material are as follows:
Week1 Required quantity - 100
Week2 required quantity - 150
Week3 required quantity - 300
Week4 required quantity - 500
This material is set as "VB" (Reorder point planning in the material master)
My questions is:
Can we use periodic lot sizing procedure for a material planned based on reorder point planning , so that MRP run will consider the requirements of a month (1050) and use that as the lot size to order material.
We want to plan the material if it falls below the reorder level, but we want the system to dynamically calculate the quantity to order based on the actual demand (and not on either fixed lot size or maxmimum stock level).

1. Use automatic reorder point with forecast planning requirment.Where ssytem will calculate reorder point automatically based on weekly /monthly Forecast req.In this case Lot size you can use EX itself.
2. Use Planning type PD and lot size EX and Instaed of ROL use safety stock so that system will consider weekly sale req. and also safety stock according to that procerement proposal will be created.

Manual Reorder point planning stock is not showing in MD04

HI,
   Would any one help me when i plan for reorder point planing the details furnished below.
Mrp type: V1
Lot size :HB
ROP : 30
Max stock level :1000
in Material master settings.But when i run the MRP using MD03 system is not showing available stock in MD04.It is showing 0 stock rather it would show 4 (MMBE un restricted stock..)
What are thesettings required or any thing missing in IMG. Please help me in this.

You may also want to check if the Unrestricted stock is in a storage location that is excluded from MRP.
On MD04 you will then see a separate line item at storage location & the Qty =4 should appear as shown below.
