Drop-down Hotspot Not Working

Hello. I'm using RoboHELP HTML v. 6, and I'm working on
Windows XL. Within my help system, I have several drop-down
hotspots. These work fine while I'm testing on my C: drive. But
when I issue them to our test environment, the hotspot test is not
hidden. It's already expanded. I think I've read where this could
happen on older operating systems, but I can't figure out why it's
happening here. Anyone know?
Thanks,
Mary Beth

Try deleting the cache.db file.
Go to ~ / Library / Caches/com.apple.Safari
Move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash and restart your Mac.
~ (Tilde) represents your Home folder
Also, go to Safari / Preferences then select the AutoFill tab.
Click the Edit button next to:  Other forms
Delete the sites you have problems with autofill then click Done.
Quit then relaunch Safari to test.

  • Animated drop down buttons not working in movie clip

    Hi,
    I am working on this site: (AS2)
    http://www.steamandclean.com/Index_w_1.html
    I have two types of drop down menu. One under Commercial and one under Technical
    The buttons are movie clips. The drop downs are also movie clips that start in frame 2 and are triggered on rollover.
    The child buttons are buttons living on the drop down movie clips. They are set to getURL
    As you see they are not willing to neither link to any url or will they run their move clip animation. One is a button and one is a movie clip.
    The left movie clip has a mask, but it makes no difference if I remove the mask . It also has a emboss filter and no difference is I take that away either.
    All of it is in one flash movie right now, but I will be splitting it up in a master navigation movie and individual swf's soon.
    Right now I have the main movie, then the button MC then the dropdown MC and in the drop down MC I have placed either a animated (button) MC or a button. So it nested in nested in.......
    In both cases I scripting the child buttons like this:
    on (rollOver) {
    gotoAndPlay(2);
    on (rollOut) {
    gotoAndPlay(6);
    on (release) {
    getURL("http://steamandclean.com");
    I have also tried to use
    _parent.getURL and _root.getURL in stead of just get URL, but it does not work.
    The drop down buttons seem to be buried. In the left side the whole drop down panel seems to act like a link?
    What am I doing wrong?
    Can you help?
    ggaarde

    Hi Ned
    Thank you for your reply again.
    I figured it out.
    Your reply prompted me to have my main button on rollover to go to a frame number on the main time line and then move the content of the drop down movie clip to that frame.
    The drop down panel now work and the child buttons animation now work as well. I just had to find a way to make the drop down panel disappear on rollout. Since I could not script the actual drop down panel I created three skinny invisible buttons and placed them on the right, left and button of the drop down panel. I scripted them to go back to frame 1 on both rollover and rollout. Done.
    See the result there:

    (Left side only)
    Thank you for your help.

  • Homepage drop down menu not working - no stray file.

    The site is: http://ww.qtadvisors.com
    The drop down menus are working on every page but not on the homepage. The only thing I added recently was the Twitter feed. Can someone help? I looked for any stray files and there are none.
    thanks!
    Steve

    It appears you were able to figure this out. The sub-menus are working fine on the home page.
    Thanks,

  • Username Drop Down Menu Not Working

    I'm having an issue with the drop down menu when I'm attempting to sign on or auto fill on certain websites. I have checked and indeed Firefox has saved usernames and passwords but it will not show up in the drop down box. When I double click on the box to sign in the drop box opens but everything is blank. If I manually type in the username then the password will auto fill. I have checked all my settings and I'm not in private browsing, I'm saving cookies and I'm not auto deleting anything when I sign off.
    Any ideas on what could be the problem? I have attached a link to see a screen save of the issue.
    Thank you in advance for all your assistance.

    Yes, I was using the form fill feature on the google toolbar. I have been using it for awhile with no problems but I turned it off and now my drop down menu is working properly.
    Thank you for replying!

  • Why are my slide shows disappearing and drop down menus not working?

    I have a huge problem with clients currently waiting on a response from us.
    We have created a website with MUSE, we have implemented slideshows and drop down menus which work fine when you preview them.
    HOWEVER, once we put an editor in place for the client to then input their content onto the website, all of the slideshows disappear and the drop down menus no longer work!?
    What do I do to rectify this problem??
    Thanks Guys

    This actually did work... But, I have figured out that the issue is really in IE7... and for whatever reason the code was making IE8 go into compatability mode (essentially using IE7).

    So here is all my code/tag, everything works fine until we get to the drop down part. The UL UL doesn't create the drop down. The idea here is to get rid of all this outdate tabling I was using for this page. However, my attempts to make this drop down menu work aren't going well. Can anyone help me find the problem?

    I think the problem is in your HTML code.

  • Webdynpro for ABAP - interactive Adobe form - drop down lists not working

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to create an interactive form for a client using webdynpro for ABAP and I've viewed the demo "Create SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe with Web Dynpro for ABAP" by Thomas Jung, but when I implement it the form following similar steps the form is not interactive.
    In the properties of the "InterativeForm", I've tried clicking the "enabled" flag both on and off.  I've also tried setting the "displayType" property to both "ActiveX" and "Native".  But none of this worked.
    I though my problem might be with Adobe reader so I switched from 8.0 back to 7.0 but this didn't make any difference either.
    The system we are using is NW04s WAS 700.  Any hints would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    -tom

    Thanks for the suggestion Dezso.  I've downloaded a newer version of ACF as indicated by the OSS note and installed it.  I'm still having the same issue.
    My basic question is what options should I be using in the form and on the InteractiveForm component?  It looks like because of the evolution of the product there are multiple options available.  I recall reading somewhere that as of a certain SP level we should have ZCI (zero client install) available.  The would be our preference.  It will be a support nightmare if each user needed a manual download of ACF.exe installed.
    Should I click the "enabled" flag on the InteractiveForm object?  When I create the form should I use the "Native" drop down list or the one from the "Active X" tab?  I would like to use the "List Box" control on the form as well but it is only available in the "Standard" tab.  So does that mean I can't get the selections from a "List Box"?
    Thanks,-tom

  • Spry drop down menu not working after page created from template

    Hi all.
    I created a template and the drop down Spry menu is working fine on local testing on my browser as follows:
    I then created a New Page from this above Template. I did no alteration to this new page and just saved it as index.html but when previewing it in the browser, the Spry drop down menu is not working and the page displays as follows:
    Here is my site map:
    Any help to show where I am going wrong would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Dear Nancy
    Very grateful for your reply.
    On Design View and Preview in browsers the index.dwt page spry works fine.
    When I create a child page from this template page, the child page looks fine in design view but does the spry fails to preview in browsers (the spry just shows as words and not drop down menus).

  • Cisco Call Manager Administration Page Drop down menu not working

    I'm running the mobile app browser on my Xoom tablet and when I log into Cisco Call Manager Administration page I get the menu's but it will not pull down the options. The same issue happens in google chrome. I use your browser on my desktop and have no issues logging into Cisco Call Manager Administration page and getting the drop down menu's to appear but the mobile version of your browser is not working. Is there a work around? I tried changing the UAString to Desktop, iPad etc and the issue is still there.

    Thanks but I've tried all that. It happens in Chrome also. I've tried Opera and it works on that. I've read other forums and it looks like a Java script issue that Chrome and now Firefox Mobile cannot seem to resolve. My preference is Firefox and I'm sure as more tablets get out then this will be solved at some point. I just don't know how it is prioritized. I do know that in order for Androids to be viable in the business sector they need to address issues like these with a higher priority.

  • FIREFOX FRONTMOTION DROP DOWN MENU NOT WORKING

    My company recently gave us Frontmotion Firefox, I am so happy to finally quit using IE. My company's website works fine with IE, all is well except on mouseover the drop down menus do not appear (This is also true for any website I try). I have looked all over the internet for a solution but all the questions and answers are about developers and code writing. I see there is the ability to "inspect element" and make changes to the code but I don't get it. I have tried in safe mode but nothing happens, I really don't have add-ons either. Please help I love Firefox and would like to continue using it.

    Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
    *Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
    *https://hacks.mozilla.org/2010/09/hardware-acceleration/
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    *Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Often, but not always, the drop-down menu on the palettes will not work when on the built-in screen. If the palette is dragged to the larger monitor it works fine. Sometimes it works appropriately and there is no telling when it will work or not work. When you click on the drop-drown icon it highlights but no menu appears. The happens with CC 2014 Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
