Drop Down in self registration
Hi All,
I am working on customization of self registration page. Everything is fine if I am using TEXT FIELDS in self registration. If use drop down and Date Fields in self registration page i am able to see the drop down and date fields in self registration,but user is not able to register.
Any help appreciated

I assume you would have the form post back to its self using
a IsDefined for
each drop down step. Drop Down 1 (DD1) is selected and that
posts back to
the same page and causes the DD2 to run a SQL query based on
DD1's choice
and you repeat the process until the final DD is selected.
Is this correct and where can I find a good tutorial?

EREC external user registration - WD ABAP on IPAD - drop down not working on IPADA / TABLETS
Hi Experts
We are on NW 7.0 and EHP2 for E-recruitment system. We have a candidate registration WD ABAP application.
Application sccessfully opens on IPAD but drop down not working even we can not select any value from the drop down.
Pleas can you suggest some fix for this.
If we can acheieve this functionality fo IPADS and TABLETS.

Add "Relation Start Reason" drop-down list on Std Benefit Self-service form
Hi,
I am new to OA Framework and also not done much of the work with J2EE.
I have to add "Relation Start Reason" drop down item on /oracle/apps/ben/selfservice/enrollment/webui/FamAddPG page.
I have XML which has all the components. What should I do to make it work?

OIM 11gR2 - Self Registration Locale and Timezone
Hi,
I would like to prepopulate locale (usr_locale) and timezone (usr_timezone) when a user registers using self registration. I created a PrePopulationAdapter, updated SelfCreateUserDataset.xml in MDS, registered the plugin containing the adapter, restarted OIM, purged cache.. but the adapter is not triggered.
I did the exact same thing for the Role field (which was already using a prepopulation adapter OOTB and I changed the adapter class) and it worked fine.
I'm wondering if those fields (usr_locale and usr_timezone) are not prepopulatable from self registration ?
Is there another way of setting their value automatically (I mean nor the end user, nor the approver filling the field) ?

- As the user is not yet logged in, so there would be no way to identify as who the user is (patient or doctor) ?
- So you may have one field with drop-down type patient/doctor at the top, once the user selects that field, you can show different attributes there after
- As how to do it, refer to the OIM11G documentation for customizing UI -

Hi B2B team,
Wanted to confirm from you if there is any provision for Partner self-registration in Oracle B2B 10g. We are on the latest patch. I am not aware of this functionality but wanted to get this confirmed from the product team.
Also, we will require a server restart when a new TP comes onboard in Oracle B2B 10g isnt it? Is my understanding correct or is there something we can do to overcome this?

Search Item drop-down does not show any data for Advanced Search.

I have a requirement to add a new criteria to the existing Advanced Search region of 'My Employee Information' in Manager Self Service responsibility. I substituted the AdvancedSearchVO to include the new column. Using personalization i did the below steps to show the new column in the page,
1) Created a 'Message Styled Text' item under Table Layout region to display the result. I associated the View Instance (AdvancedSearchVO1) and View Attribute (AttrColumn).
2) In Advanced Search Panel created a new CriteriaRow and set the 'Search Allowed' property to True.
3) In Advanced Search Mappings i tried to create the new mapping but the Search Item drop-down does not show any of the CriteriaRow item. But Results Item shows the 'Message Styled Text' item created in step 1 above.
Any idea what i would be missing becasue of which 'Search Item' property does not show any data?
I am using OAF version 12.1.1.

But when i tried to create a new custom page with advanced table and created a new LOV column via personalization. i was able to create new search mapping.. but this is not happening in the seeded page case :(.

DW CS4 Horizontal Spry drop down menu not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer 8

I have created a horizontal Spry drop down menu in Dreamweaver CS4 with my own background images. I have done various modifications to the CSS script to accommodate the style and feel needed; including making the main buttons' height twice the size of the sub menu buttons and some alignments. It seems to work different depending which browser is used.
It works well in Google Chrome.
It works well in Firefox with the exception that if any of the buttons are clicked, thereafter a thin black line is diplayed horizontally across center of the top main buttons when the mouse rolls over them. I would like to correct this but is not nearly as bad as the problem I'm having in Internet Explorer 8.
Here is my biggest concern and I would greatly appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this matter.
Once opened in Internet Explorer 8 the main navigation buttons appear as they should. IE8 prompts me the following: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for options..". Once I allow IE8 to run scripts or ActiveX controls, the background image disappears and only shows on any menu or submenu button when the mouse rolls over that particular button. Can someone please help.

I was troubleshooting For the next 8 hours after my post here and eventually I got it right, I uploaded the files to the test server and at the time did not have the chance to post the solution here. This is why, as you saw, it is working correctly now. Both the CSS and HTML files needed modifications. While working on the code I had to run IE8, Chrome and Firefox simultaneously and refresh all three after every change in the code because what would fix the problem in one would cause a problem for the other.
In addition to the problems listed in my original post, there were also other graphical issues in IE8, such as; the main menu buttons without sub-menus would only display at half their size vertically. The border around the buttons would not display despite that the background images were rendered in Photoshop as flattened JPEGs with boarders as part of the background image. Being so, I removed all borders from the CSS script.
By the way.. the IE8 security measure did pop up while working from the server.
Anyhow for those of you who are experiencing similar problems you can take a look at the working code bellow and compare it to the initial code. I've included detail comments on every line I have changed, modified or added.
Good luck.. as I know it can become a complicated task when creating custom Spry menus.

trying to export video in mpeg 2 but compressor doesn't come up in the export drop down window. Any ideas?
Export the file using "Current Settings" and enable "self contained".
Once the export is complete, open up Compressor, drop in your file, select the desired output settings and turn Compressor loose. If you have set up a Quick Cluster and have a multi core Mac, Compressor will use all available cores. It will be a faster process.

Now, the above is a whole bunch of different files, and I
cant seem to figure out how to put them in the right place or
swhich file to choose for where, in order to get my drop down menu
to work>
Please help me, and tips would be highly appreciated!

TextYou really want help? Don't use these menus. They are pretty
poorly
implemented and will be a bear to maintain. There are much
better ways -

In my Fire fox version 18.0.1 one drop down box is not expanding on click
In my registration page (http://www.complianceonline.com/ecommerce/control/registration) the drop down box for Primary Area Of Interest is not expanding. This problem is happening in some of my friend's machines. They all have windows XP with Fire fox version 18.0.1 installed in their system.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

ICal Server not showing up in drop-down in WGM?
Hello.
I have two Xserves.
Xserve001 = OD Master, DNS (primary zone)
Xserve002 = Connected to OD Master, DNS (secondary zone), Web (and Wiki)
Everything thus far is working fine (including Wiki, even though it's on the second Xserve and not the OD Master)
Now I want to enable iCal Server on Xserve002.
I enter the hostname (xserve002.mydomain.com) in Host Name, save and Start iCal.
It says iCal is running.
I then log into WGM, select a user and check "Enable calendaring", but the drop-down only lists "No Calendar Host Selected". Nothing else.
Does anyone know what could be wrong?
Also, I tried entering calendar.mydomain.com in Host Name, but when I click "Start iCal" it gives the error "No Virtual host found for iCal server". In DNS (on Xserve001) I have "calendar" set up as an alias to point to Xserve002, so I thought that entering calendar.mydomain.com should work?
Maybe this shouldn't work, but I don't know? And since when I enter xserve002.mydomain.com into the Host Name field and start the server, but it doesn't show up as a selectable option in WGM, I know there's something wrong with iCal Server as a whole right now and so it makes me question being able to use calendar.mydomain.com?
Any advice would be appreciated!

Drop Down List not working correctly
Hi
I have created one 'DropDown' List box with static entry list. When i am selecting the entries nothing is happening.
I want to pass the selected value, how to do that?

Follow the steps below -
1. Drag Form & select Drop Down list for the required field.
2. In entry list select Static list.
3. You will get 2 columns over there Value & Description. In value enter key of the field & in text enter description.
4. Then create Button, select system action as 'Submit' & submit self option.
5. then in connecting line select 'event as 'Submit' & pass the key of that field. i.e @field_key
this should work.
