Drop Down Menu Opening another File Script
I am using a drop down menu to generate other information in different selection. I received great help before but have encountered another problem.
I have attached a example file.
Once the user has selected the offense title and it generates the above information, I
was wondering if you can script it to open another adobe form contained in the script i'm already using.. For example when
user selects the Abandon Endanger child criminal negligence, (I already made this complaint
in adobe) it would open the file.
not 100% sure if your after a hidden subform to show up after a certain selection is made or if you want the user taken to a totally different form
e.g. click option 4 and get a new document opened in you face - im guessing the second option in whihc case I think you should be able to do this by using the app.openDoc("examplename.pdf") command
not one ive used myself but it should work much the same as the app.launchURL command which is usually quite stable
so you would have some code on your preferred event
to say something like
if (this.rawValue = "whatever value you want to trigger action";
app.openDoc("examplename.pdf")
alternatively if you other form is also online you could probably trigger it using the app.launchURL function - although the app.openDoc is meant to be the appropriate function for this type of thing

I need help changing a drop down menu on a template

ive been using dreamwearver on and of for a few years now and just about get by, ive just bought a web site template and although ive managed to ajust most things,
the template had a drop down menu using CSS currently on the "about us" option a sub menu drops down, ive worked out how to add to this menu and change the words
but what i cant do is have this same drop down menu on another part or the menu system for example i would like another drop down menu on the "our menu" part
any help would be much appreciated

Hi there. I am a relatively new Mac User and loving the OS X experience. I am on Mavericks and there is just one thing I find annoying: when I ctrl-click and unfold a drop down menu, if by mistake I don't click on a valid option the drop down menu just disappears; is there a way for this not to happen? I mean, let's say I mis-click, is there a way to keep the drop down menu open so I don't have to summon it again to make my choice?
I don't know of any way of make a 'context menu' stick around for longer after clicking off a menu.
If you are having issues with the mouse or trackpad accuracy you could consider changing the sensitivity in the relevant section of System Preferences.
It is possible to select items within menus using the keyboard, so after you right click move your hand off the mouse & try the cursor (arrow) keys, you should be able to move through the options & then press return to open that menu item. esc should close it too. -
I have just removed FireFox and reinstalled it again on my Mac Book PRO.
When I open FIreFox I canNOT open more than 1 TAB.
I click on the "+"on the top line of the window. It should open another TAB but id does NOT.
I click on the File item in the top menu bar. A drop-down menu pops up. I click on "New Tab" and nothing happens.
How can I get more than 1 Tab on the same window ?

So if you have such a toolbar then start with disabling it.

Drop-down Menu to Open URL for File Download
I am using Adobe Captivate 5.5 and was wondering if it is possible to create a drop-down menu that can be used to open different URLs for file downloads, kind of like the Attachments button Presenter has. Captivate seems to have a dropdown widget available but I can't tell if this would work for this purpose.

I cannot import bookmarks because I don't have the "File Import" command in my drop down menu.
To import bookmarks from another application, you must use the drop down menu command "File>Import". I don't have that command in my menu in Firefox.

Found 0 results for My browser is missing important items, the whole tool bar...., drop down menu to print, copy, work off line, file, save, book mark, history. I just installed latest foxfire on windows xp. Found some instructions but they called for using keys my computer doesn't have ( key in OSX There is no file, edit , history, help, tools, navigation, all the things your directions say to use. Also I always get hung up and the message a scrip is running. I don't know what thises scrips are but I sure don't need them.

I'm having the same issue. I got a new PC, insalled Acrobat X pro and when I right click on an Office file, I could not combine or convert Office files to PDF. I upgraded to Acrobat XI and still no fix. I triled to convert or combine office files to PDF from within Acrobat and I get an error message saying "Acrobat does not support the conversion of one or more of your files to PDF. Please remove these files or go to Settings and choose the PDF Portfolio option".
I've tried to convert or combine Office 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013 files and none work. The weird thing is that the option shows up for Excel .csv files. Even more werid is that I have the PDF tabs showing in the Office applications.
I contacted Adobe support via chat and they were unable to help. I was directed here, so any help would be great.

Is there a way to get ACR to appear in the "Open With" drop down menu?

Is there a way to get Adobe Camera Raw to appear directly along with CS3 in the Mac's ( OS 10.4.11) "Open With" drop down menu?If you installed ACR it in the right place, and are targeting the kind of file that ACR can handle, it should be there.
I have found that there are certain Tiff Scans that won't open in ACR but if you just Duplicate them in Bridge, and then target the Duplicate, they will then open in ACR.
At least they do so for me. -
Horizontal drop down menu not staying open?
Hi there again,
So now I'm attempting to create a horizontal drop down menu. It is meant to be a vertical tab that sticks out, expands to the right, then expands and drops down.
However, when I hover over the button (which is the blue box) and click it, Flash thinks I'm clicking the button on the bottom. The technique I used to do it must be the problem. I'm using a button inside a button. (In place of the "over" state of my buttons, I have inserted a movie clip of which in itself are layers). I've tried so many things to try to make it work to no avail.
There must be an easier way to accomplish what I am doing...but as I've said before, I'm noob and experimenting.

Thanks!When you roll over the purple rectangle, it expands to the right. You have to move the cursor to the right to get the rectangle to expand down, exposing the blue rectangle. The problem that you see when you roll over the blue rectangle is because the rollover on the blue rectangle causes a rollout on the object below and this causes the rectangle below to shrink up.

"Open With" drop-down menu has multiple instances of apps
When I right-click on a file and select "Open With", the resulting drop-down menu contains many, many multiple instances of the same app - five Firefox's, five Quicktime Player's, at least three instances of every relevant app. Why is that happening, and how can I clean that menu up?

Is there a reason as to why I cannot find those files? Oh and I did delete it; all it did was reset the file associations.

Drop Down Menu - 3rd Level iView open in new external Window with parameter

we have the following problem: We have created some drop down menu for the portal navigation. Some iViews we are going to open in new Window. Therefore the iViews are getting some parameters like: menubar=no, toolbar=no, resizable=yes, status yes....and so one....And also the iView has fixed height and width.
Now when we are going to open the iview in the second level position, everything is working fine and the window functions are also used.
When we change the position of the iview from an second level position to an third level position, and we want to open the iview from the drop down menu, the window functions and the size is not used.
