Drop down "save" screen too large

I frequently save web pages as PDFs. When I select "save" or "save as" from the file menu, a drop down page opens to allow me to select the location in which to save the data. The bottom of this new page extends beyond the screen so that I am unable to see or select the "Save" button to commit to the location. The original screen is sized correctly , it's only this "save" screen that is too large. How can I resize this drop down page?

quitting Safari then trashing
Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.safari.plist
should reset that & anything else customisable... but if you'd rather keep other changes, try the following command in Terminal, after quitting Safari
I'm assuming that you do mean the Save window created when say on this page, you choose File - Save as...
defaults delete com.apple.safari NSNavPanelExpandedSizeForSaveMode
you could also likely click the expand/contract arrow next to the 'export as' name box - which will make the window smaller & thus hopefully usable - but remove some of its features, including the corner drag to alter its size.

i would like to have a drop down in screen painter.

Screen too large for internal buffer

Hi,
2 days ago I have an issue when I execute "crontab -e" with my terminal maximized. The error say "Screen too large for internal buffer" and the term crash. But when the term isn't maximized the command works fine. I tried with teminal (XFCE), Konsole, rxvt... My screen resolution is 1680x1050. With visudo command I have the same issue.
¿Anybody have this problem too?

The bookmark drop down tab is too wide on version 6. It worked just fine on version 3.6. I know you can shorten the individual urls, but why should I have to do this? I am sticking with 3.6 until this problem is resolved.

That can be caused by having some bookmarks with a long title. 
The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name. 
You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter.

Font in Menu Bar and Drop Down list way too small

I just tried PSE 10 and was very surprised to see that Adobe did not address the problem with the font size being way too small in the menu bar and drop down list. I cannot possibly read the font - so the program is basically unusable. I am using a new 17inch laptop. Is it possible that after all the complaints Adobe didn't fix this problem in PSE 10? Are they even working on it? I love the program but unfortunately I am going to have to switch to something else because there is no way I can read the font and thus cannot use the program at all. Very, very disappointing. Hopefully they are working on a fix???

Photoshop CS5 Essential has preferences that offer users the opportunity to adjust menu bar background color as well as font size. For example,
"UI Font Size
If you find that Photoshop's interface text is a little too small for comfort, you can increase its size by changing the UI Font Size option to either Medium or Large. And no, this option isn't just for old folks with poor eye sight. Working on a very high resolution monitor can make Photoshop's interface text appear very small. Personally, I like to set my font size to Large which I find helps to avoid eye strain. You'll need to close and then re-open Photoshop for the change to take effect:
Change the font size to increase some of the text in Photoshop's interface.

Start screen too large, won't go normal? 1st gen

Upon trying to get on the iPad, the slide doesn't show up & all you can see is the lower portion of the time & all of the date. Somehow the screen is too large & I'm not sure how to get it back. Help! Thanks!

3 finger double tap drag down to Zoom out.
You can turn off Zoom in Settings > General > Accessibility.

G-mail screen too large, no controls like file bookmarks show

Downloaded new Firefox e-mail, now screen is too large to show file, or any tabs on top, can not get to controls to shut down, browser information etc

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).

If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.

I ran Advanced System Care3 disk optimizer program on my computer and now the drop down menus in Firefox open too fast. Mostly in the Bookmarks menu with nested folders. I went into the registry and changed all the "MenuShowDelay" data values back to 400(which were changed to 200 by the program. All the other windows programs drop down menus went back to the original speeds and are fine. Firefox did not change back to it's original delay speed. Where is the registry entry or configuration file for Firefox? How can I slow the menu down?

Screen too large

I have transferred my iTunes from my desktop to an external hard drive to put the library onto my iBook. When I did that, the screen is too large for me to see the whole thing. I am unable to see the bottom of the screen, including the lower right corner that is needed for making the screen smaller. How can I make the screen smaller? Thank you in advance!

Click here and use one of the scripts to change the size of the window. This works with applications other than iTunes as well.

Keyboard shortcuts on drop down save menus

i have a question about the little drop down menulet that appears when i try to quit a document i have been working on, either in Textedit or Pages and sometimes Preview. the 'Save' option is highlighted in blue and is thus the default, so pressing enter selects it. I remember reading somewhere that if you want to select one of the other options, ie 'Dont save', or 'Cancel', there is some kind of shortcut for that involving the first letter of the of the menu item; for example Command-C for 'Cancel'. At the moment i am just using the trackpad for this. thanks for your help!

Address bar drop down randomly changes from large block to compressed ones. How do I change it back?

I woke up the other morning and the drop down for my address bar, which had previously had a generous block for each address in memory, had changed. All of the block for remembered addresses had been compressed to half the size they originally were. I tried changing settings, and when that didn't fix it, I switched themes.
It was fixed for a time, but did it again earlier today. I haven't altered any settings, so I don't know why it's doing this. I'd like to get it back to normal, because the compressed block are annoying, and harder to read.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Photoshop Elements 11 trial version screen too large to view

I cannot use Photoshop Elements 11 because the screen is too wide and I cannot change the size.
The tools are not visable since the Photoshop Editor brings up such a wide screen.
If this can be fixed, I would also like to know how to change the background color in a photo.

The minimum resolution supported by PSE 11 is 1024 *768. So if your screen resolution is higher than this , then all controls in the application should be properly visible. Even if the screen seems to wide then hover your mouse on the extreme right side of the app until you see a dragging arrow and then drag until it fits the screen
To your second question the answer is that there are many ways to change a background in PSE which depends upon what background in the image you want to replace and what do you want the background to look like. It would be easier to answer this if you can post a screenshot of the image .

QT screen too large to resize! The impossible situation...

On the basic Quicktime 7 (not Pro), I have received a movie larger than my 17" widescreen mac. This leads to an interesting situation: I can't access the controls and I can't accress the resizing zone of the screen in the bottom right corner because both of them are off the visible screen... any idea on how to resize the window if one is not able to move the screen around to access the bottom?

Playback screen too large

Hi--I inadvertently recorded my demo with a high screen
resolution, 1280x1024. I want it to display on 1024 x 768 monitors.
Is there a way to adjust the playback of the demo so it is
completely visible without scrolling on a 1024x768 monitor, or do I
have to re-record it?

You can use the Resize option. Or if you prefer a
non-destructive solution,
change the size of the Flash file in the published HTML file.

Why is the full screen too large ever since the new iTunes?

I can't see the scroll bar on the right and some options are hiding behind the task bar at the bottom

I think the problem is that the full-screen button has been moved in the Lion apps. In Snow Leopard it used to be the bottom left, in Lion it is in the top right corner. Is it there in your case?
