Drop down the network, loosing battery

Hi there, i've got a new Iphone 4S, but I'm facing two problems,
first i loose my network and the phone search for it for more than 20mns and sometimes i need to restart the phone in order to get the network back
Second the battery life is too short max 12hours stand by and 15mns of talking
Can you help solving these issues please

In the Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ folder delete the following:
com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
NetworkInterfaces.plist
preferences.plist
com.apple.nat.plist
You will have to re-configure all your network settings since deleting.

Use Software Update to update your OS to last version of Tiger. Install all the other updates that goes along w/it.

Officejet 4620 drops off the network after the first operation

HP 4620 drops off the network soon after one operation is performed. I have to turn it off and on again to bring it on line and then it repeats. The message is " unable to communicate with printer". I have run all the diognostics and they say your printer is operating normally. I have down loaded the latest drivers. Running Win 7 (64 bit). My only clue is that I have a new router, Netgear.

I understand you can print over the network one time and then you have to turn the printer off and on again to continue to print.
I will be happy to assist you with this.
It may not be the printer, it may be your router's inability to wake the printer.
Disconnect the power cable on the router for 10 seconds, then reconnect the power cable again. You might need to check to see how many devices can be setup on the router at the same time. Depending on each router.
I would recommend updating the printers firmware. HP Officejet Firmware.

My fix for the AE dropping off the network in client mode

Turn off any encryption.
I have the linksys/vonage/wireless G router, which supports WPA. The AE will sometimes join the network with WPA but it takes anywhere from 1-5 minutes for it to do so. When finally on the network it shows up on the Airport manager list and in iTunes. The most playtime I could get out of it was 15 mins, before it would drop from the network. The light on the AE would be solid green, but I couldn't ping it. The only solution was to power cycle the AE. Note this is dropping w/out running the microwave, cordless phone, verifying my network channel is different from my neighbors, etc.
I tried fiddling with WEP but the only way I could get that working was to specify the full key in hex, appearantly Apple and Linksys don't agree on the way to take a passphrase and turn it into a key.
So I dropped to the unencrypted network, disabled the SSID broadcast and restricted wireless access to my machines. Works great now. :/ If I run the microwave and the cordless phone at the same time I can get Airtunes to drop, but it comes right back when the microwaving is done.
Very frustrating, and the part that is the most irritatating is that my mac laptop and iMac can get on the network just fine.
Still deciding if I want to keep it this way or say nevermind and return the AE.

I found the solution after many many many attemps.
It's not a MBP problem, it's your wireless router.
1- Set your BEACON between 20 and 50. D-LINK router for example use 100 has default value. It's too long.
2- Change your channel. D-link default is 6. Use whatever channel. I use 10.

Urgent !- Drop down the list without using mouse and ALT+DOWN

I'm working in Oracle Forms 10g. Is there any way I can drop down the list, the moment the list gets focused, without using the mouse and ALT+DOWN?

You can use also the arrow keys to drop down the lists, but I don't think once you have the focus, you can drop down the list. If you get any solution to this kindly let me know.

I am developing interactive form, where in we have a bunch of drop-down fields, i have created them by dragging Enumarated Drop-down (no select) item from WebDynPro Native (Its provided from SAP and ERP Back End system, pls. you guys disregard this WebDynPro & my_WebDynPro_SAP_application wordS) section of palatte and dropped on my_form layout, fine.
This my_form will be launched on the browser by executing the my_WebDynPro_SAP_application.
I am filling these drop-down field's list from my_WebDynPro_SAP_application. Say the list contain 3 entries like entry_1, entry_2 and entry_3
When i launching my_form on the browser and i saw the drop-down fields with out any populating the value(blank) on the form, but list holding the 3 entries, fine
If i drop-down the list then i can see all entrires (entry_1, entry_2 and entry_3), fine
Issue is: Say, by mistake user has selected entry_2, hence the entry_2 is populated on that drop-down field, fine....but after couple of seconds user has realised that, its a mistake and user want to keep that drop-down field 'as is' (meaning, blank), but, there is no chance! Once dropped down the list, user invariably has to select any one of entry from the list! There is no chance of keeping the drop-down field as blank!
Pls. let me know how can i fix my issue ( i passed an INITIAL entry along with other 3 enties: entry_1, entry_2 and entry_3? so total 4) but no USE?
Passing INITIAL entry has not worked! bcz adobe is deleting this INITAIL entry from the list
Is there any standard/good practice to achieve my requirement?

Hi,
There are a couple of options.
One would be to include a dropdown item " ", which will appear in the list as a blank option.
You could include a reset button next to the dropdown, which would reset just that dropdown back to it initial - no selection state.
Lastly, I have an example here where you can script if the user is holding down the Shift key. If they are then clear the field: http://assure.ly/j1KdNq.

The Firefox on my phone wont sync properly even when I click sync the tabs wont sync even if I pull up and drop down the synced tabs bar. Please help!

I have seen this problem has been asked about before. However not a single solution provided has worked for me. I have no restricted data or a battery app that's affected my syncing capabilities (or any program like that for that matter). I have tried the sync now button, I've hidden the synced tabs menu and dropped it back down, I've pulled down the synced tabs menu, I've started a new Firefox instance after completely shutting it down, as well as everything else that was suggested. I've used a search engine looking for a solution and have come up with nothing. I'm running Firefox on my laptop, Android phone, as well as my Android tablet. I'm using my laptop with opened tabs. The first time I synced Firefox it worked. Every time since then (I've tried like 100 times and that's not an exaggeration) it hasn't worked on either my phone or tablet. Could someone please help because I'm at my wits end and am considering going back to Chrome. For anyone who can help I sincerely thank you for your time and effort.

Two things that were not mentioned that might lead to
*Are you syncing active tabs on two devices?
*Is Auto-Sync selected on the mobile device in the Account Settings?

I figgered it out. The resolution of the screen was set at 600x800, so the bookmarks dropdown menu took up more space than usual. The pop out folder contents didn't have enough room to pop out. With a resolution for a slightly smaller display the drop down bookmarks menu functions perfectly.

Back arrow will not drop down the recent history of pages visited on a right-click.

I use IE 11. Older versions of IE allowed you to back up to any previous page visited during the current session by right-clicking the back button. The right-click would drop down a list of pages visited, and you could choose any one of them, regardless
of their order. With IE 11, the right-click has no effect. I must left-click the back button and go through each page previously visited serially before reaching the desired one. Have I inadvertently changed a setting or something?

Right-click on the back/forward button works from my side(IE 11 on Windows 8.1 and IE 11 on Windows 7 Ulimate SP1). Not sure what is your situation.
And there seems to be a bug related with IE 11 back button, see here:

If you do not sure which settings have been modified, then we may consider to reset IE 11, and please take a note:
Resetting Internet Explorer isn't reversible, and all previous settings are lost after reset.

When i drop down the print box....there is nothing in it.....it still works but there is no script....

There is nothing in the print drop down but buttons....if you click on the buttons it will print....but you can't see where or how many...the printer works fine from the Chrome and IE browsers

Why does my mac mini server keep dropping off the network?

I have Verizon FiOS and use its router/wireless to connect all macbooks, macbook pros, etc. connect to each other and the snow leopard server, which runs the printers and time machine for one of the laptops. I'm not using any other heavy duty server apps. I just want the mac mini to stay on the network and do its job. Invariably when I go down stairs to the mac mini and ethernet to the router to share screen, I find some update that needs to be installed, which apparently is why the mac mini has gone on strike. I usually can see the problem when I go to connect to server and see the other macbooks, but not the mac mini. Then after much coaxing, I'm able to get the server back on line for a few days, until the next software update. The server is set to auto restart, but why is it balking at rejoining the network?
mac mini is running snow leopard, as are three of the four macbooks. router is an actiontec model. wireless network is WPA2 and mac mini is ethernet connected to the router.

I've just experienced this problem when using a Marantz SR4001 receiver between my Mac Mini and HD TV. I noticed that the problem didn't happen all the time and I have found a workaround solution.
The problem is not a fault, but seems to be caused by the receiver defaulting the HDMI video properties. It's an old unit so I'm thinking that 720p is a default resolution for the receiver.
I can make the problem happen if the receiver is turned on before the TV. Seems that without an output connection the receiver is telling the mac that it expects 720p.
If I turn on the TV before the receiver, the TV seems to tell the receiver that it is expecting 1080p 25fps and the receiver obliges and the Mac retains those display properties.
So it appears that the video output device dictates the output properties back to the receiver and the receiver in turn back to the Mac. In absence of an output device the receiver defaults to 720p.
Solution: Turn on the TV before the receiver.

Do as it says and restore your phone at this point there is no data on your phone. If you have a backup of your phone you can restore to that backup.
