Drop Zone will not play video - only still frame

I have a generator template with drop zone, in and out.
When I select the video clip to use in the drop zone it shows as a still freeze frame - video does not play. Only the first frame displays.
This was a bug that Apple said is fixed in the last version... it is still a problem for me.
Anyone know about this?

Motion Template.
To quote FCPX 10.0.08 "Drop zones are no longer reset to the first frame of video after application restarts".... this is in the 'What's New' in the App store.
But if you use a drop zone in a generator template, FCPX only displays the first frame - no video. Many users reported this bug on the eearlier version. Some tried using a compound clip but this did not work for me. The bug is nto fixed.
I need to select a part of two different clips in the timeline on both sides of the template to ceate a transition - one ingoing and one outgoing.

I haven't tried videos on my camera yet. Do you use the Videos App to play them? I don't think they will play in the Photos App.
If yours are in a format that is not in Vazandrew's list, you may need to sync them to your computer and convert them to M4V or MP4 format. You can use a program like HandBrake to do the conversion. <HandBrake> Once converted, you can sync them back to the iPad and they should play.
This may not meet your needs, but the alternative appears to be getting a different camera. I don't know of another Video App that might work.

Quicktime 10 will not play video, only audio

Hi -
I cannot get my .mov files (with codec that is DV/DVCPRO - NTSC, Integer (Little Endian)) to play video in Quicktime 10... it will only play audio. That said, my .avi files from my digital camera play fine. I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.4. Any thoughts?

Keynote 6.0 shows will not play videos, only sound from clips

I have upgrader to Mavericks and KN 6.0
Now when I try to play previous KN presnetations containing video clips, some play fine, others just play with sound + no video, and other play sound + video, but with loud "ehcoes" making them unusable.
What do I need to do to corret this.

Disabling hardware acceleration worked for me - be sure to reload the page after doing so, Flash won't adjust for the change on the fly.

My macbook air will not play videos online, like product demo videos, etc.

My macbook air is running on OS X 10.9.5, with i5 processor, and for some unknown reason will not play videos, like short tutorial videos or demo videos for online shopping site. The enable plug-ins is on and I don't know what else to try. Never had this happen before.

If you can't install or update Flash, follow these instructions.
If you have installed the latest version of Flash, please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
For a "blocked plug-in" error, see Step 4.
For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 8.
Back up all data before making any changes.

You might have to log out or restart the computer before a Flash update takes effect.

From the Safari menu bar, select

If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select

Premiere Pro CC7 and CC6 will not put video or stills onto time line for editing.

Premiere Pro CC7 and CC6 will not add video or stills onto time line for editing. It wil play the clip but that's it. I have tried many different vidoe files, mov, avi and others plus jpeg stills, but no matter what i do i cannot move it to time line to edit. I have the 30 day trial version. I have watched the tutorial, done same thing, no luck.
Any ideas and help appreciated otherwise I 'll just bin the whole program. I have tried it on Final Cot pro 7 and there is no problem (thats on the mac, the premiere pro is on pc. )

Chances are you just need to create a sequence to put them on.

sorry it's not my apple id. it's my icloud email/account. after i updated to ios 8.1.2 my icloud acct on my phone is wrong. it's using my old college email address instead of my current icloud account email. my old college email address *used* to be my apple id, but i changed my apple id to my gmail account a few months back. anyway i can't "sign out" or delete the icloud account bc it thinks my college email address is my icloud account and it keeps asking for the password. so i'll type in the current password for my icloud account and it says it's wrong and i need to retry or change the password, which i've already done twice and nothing changes. probably bc its asking for the password associated with the college email address it thinks is my icloud acct.
i can access icloud on my desktop without a problem... make any sense? do i have to restore my phone now or is there a solution? i've wasted the last 2 days trying to figure this out. i can't send or receive emails on my iphone bc of this. which really ***** for work.

TVNZ will not play video in safari

TVNZ On Demand says I need to load the latest Adobe Flash Player and will not play video in Safari.
The same applies for TV3 On Demand in Safari.
I definitely have the latest loaded - Plug-in version 11.9.900.117 is installed
The same problem does NOT occur within Mozilla Firefox.
It also does not happen on my older iMac - with OSX 10.2 installed.

I understand while viewing a video or listening to some different content, you lose audio, is that correct? I will do all I can to assist you with this issue.
Does the issue occur when you have headphones inserted? If you are not sure, if you have a set of headphones available could you test that please?

Itunes for windows will not play videos

Videos will not play back insde iTunes for windows on a windows 7 machine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. The video starts to play audio and a still image on screen and after a bout 3 seconds the audio stops.

IPad 1 will NOT play videos..

I have the older iPad 1, it use to play videos in safari, now it don't.
ISO 5.1.1
No video play back from ANY browser apps including safari, chrome and many other that I have since deleted. All I get is a black screen, it does not even look as if it's downloading the video.
I have restarted the iPad, restored the iPad, not sure what else.
Here is one of the site I like to watch and have been able to before www.komonews.com but not now.

Try this worked for me.Turn off power using button on side not on main screen, hold down for 5 secs. Then re power using same button.
