Drop Zones - Changing shapes and sizes

This may not be possible with DVD Studio Pro, but does anyone have an idea how to change the size and shape of a Drop Zone and distort them so they look like they are laying on the ground or have some scale.
Refer to a Star Wars DVD where the drop zone is on the deck of the death star, or shaped round, or against a building. Much like the distort tool in Final Cut Pro, but can you do it in DVD studio Pro?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

sorry typo, assets
You can use Photoshop, Final Cut, Motion, After Effects or other program you like using, you mentioned the distort tool in Final Cut, and there are similar tools in the other programs.
What you would do is compositie the menu in Motion or AE or FCP (if you want movement) and make the drop zones part of that (or in Photoshop) The drop zones can also just be manipulated by going into DVD SP --> Package--Resources and you can see the actual files, copy and distort the copy to use. Makke sure to use a copy

  • Can anyone help me change fonts and size on my page? I don't understand the class questions?

    Can anyone help me change fonts and size on my page? I don't understand the class questions? All I want to do is change the font and size of a table or div.
    http://www.allgearinc.com/AG12SSWL-Swift.htm -One problem page

    If you want to change the fonts of the entire page then this code will do the trick:
    body {
        font-size: 16pt;
        color: silver;
         font-family: whatever, goes, here;
    If you want to change the fonts of ALL tables on a page then the code is something like this:
    table {
        font-size: 20pt;
        font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;
        font-style: italic;
        font-weight: bold;
    what exactly do you want to change?  Can you be a bit specific so that Ben or Ken can give you the exact code and tell you about the short-hand method to write the code in one line.

  • Change Font and Size of Graph Annotations

    Just learned a cool little trick from Christina Rogers about how to change the font and size of a graph annotation after I left a comment on her blog (if you are unsure how to create a graph annotation, check LabVIEW Help).
    With the Cursor Legend selected, use the Font Dropdown on the toolbar to select the font you want for the annotation. Apparently, annotation and cursor text on the graph inherit the font of the Cursor Legend. If you do not like how the Cursor Legend looks after you have changed the font, you can make it invisible again (I have never shown the cursor legend in final UI products... and I have never used "Hobo Std" in final UI products...).

  • Change distance and size of drop shadow does not allow me to use the arrow up/down, or any of the effects windows.

    Does anyone know why I'm not able to use the up/down arrow shown above. This has only happened recently.

    You have two different blending modes on your layer that are neutralizing each other.
    You probably have your text on a separate layer.
    In the the Effects PANEL (NOT the dialog box) you have the blending mode set to SCREEN.
    In the Effects DIALOG box you have drop shadow with the default MULTIPLY blending mode.
    See the setting in the lower left of the dialog box.
    Object is set to Screen 100% ( in the Effects PANEL)
    But the Drop Shadow is set to MULTIPLY in Effects DIALOG box
    These settings are canceling out each other.

  • Brush keep changing angle and size everytime applied (PS CS6)

    Just as the title says, at first the size will be just as I wanted it, but the next, it either increased in size or shrank and the angle keeps shifting. It never happened before when I used PS CS5.1. How do I solve this problem? Other than that, everything works out fine.

    Meredith,
    It is perfectly legal to decode Dolby to simple stereo with the licensed codec included with Windows 7. There may be some restriction on writing AC-3 content in 5.1 format. If Adobe wanted to, it could read from the licensed, installed codec and write the edited files in any of the audio formats it does support.
    I do not believe it is a can't; it's a won't.
    "... only a few digital cameras on the market with that encoder."
    There are dozens of digital cameras and camcorders from Canon, Hitachi, JVC, Leica, Panasonic and Sony which use AVCHD and many more are on the way.
    Almost every medium and top-tier video editor also supports AVCHD/MTS format including Avid, Premier, Final Cut, AVS, Blender, VideoStudio, PowerDirector, Windoz Movie Maker, Nero, Pinnacle, Vegas and Openshot.
    Adobe advertises on http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/features.html:
    Intuitive video creation
    Bring Photoshop editing power to your video footage. Easily enhance any clip using the full range of familiar Photoshop tools, and then create movies using an intuitive set of video tools.
    Adobe needs to add a bit of fine print here:
    Easily enhance any clip [1]
    [1] Disclaimer:  Adobe has made a strategic decision to withhold Photoshop support for Dolby sound common on many newer and higher fidelity cameras in order to not cannibalize sales of Premier Pro.  If you have or plan to buy a video device from Canon, Hitachi, JVC, Leica, Panasonic or Sony, you may not be able to edit or even view movies with audio unless you also install Premier Pro ($799) or use a third party tool to perform audio brain surgery on your movie to rip your audio and hack it back into Photoshop in a non-Dolby form.
    I feel that I was mislead by Adobe. And Adobe is still advertising this "Any Clip" claim even though the Dolby "defect" was reported in March in Beta testing. Please don't advertise what you don't support.
    Disappointed,

  • Importing clips of all different shapes and sizes

    I'm completely new to final cut pro and in fact not a film person at all but audio so please be patient.
    What I'm doing is creating a film montage. The clips I'm compiling together happen to be a few different sizes of widescreen and then some full screen. I want them all to match and I don't really care which version it ends up as.
    I did manage to export one of my full screen videos to a 720x480 format but the quality afterwards was really awful.
    Any suggestions??

    "New" is a red flag around here. We can't educate you about video. This is where you learn how to fix stuff that happens when you use FCP. You'er an audio guy? You understand how difficult it would be to tell a newbie all about s/n and decibels and mic/line levels when they say, "I've never used Logic before, in fact, I don't know anything about audio. I'm a print guy."

    The screen formats are irrelvant. what we need to know are two things: a) what are the source codecs of these clips and, b) what is the target codec for your end product—how will you use it?

    Umm, that suggests you were using some high quality formats and have scaled them way down to standard definition DV. If you had 4 bit, 8 bit and 16 bit audio from MP3, DV, AIFF, analog 45rpm and 33rpm disks, and some files recorded off someone's iPhone in a disco bar, which one of them would you consider to be the standard you would try to make them all match?

  • Upgraded to 10.4.6 now books chang fonts and sizes when imposed

    Hi,
    I upgraded the OS to 10.4.6 aday before yesterday, edited one of my books today, and tried to impose it for printing.
    The InDesign 4.0.2 book imposed okay on InBooklet but came out with some pages in a different font and some of the different font areas highlighted in pink.
    Times 12pt was changed to Garamond 11pt after about20 pages of a 75 page manual.
    This is a big deal for me because I have quite a few years worth of books and what was once a thoughtlessly easy thing to do has turned into a new and unusual problem every week or so. Sometimes it might be Adobe (as in agonizingly slow printing).

    Have you tried downloading the latest MacOSX drivers from the Brother web site? They might have updated the driver for that printer since you got it.

  • WHY do we get a %*# update every 2 weeks while the 1 really bad bug (fonts and sizes randomly changing when typing) persists????

    Is there any way to STOP TB from sending updates every couple of weeks (and BTW this has slowed down/crashed TB increasingly in the past couple of months) UNTIL they fix this really irritating bug of randomly changing fonts and sizes when writing a mail? Outlook doesn't do this, Apple mail doesn't do this, so TB stop spamming and start addressing real problems for a change!!!!

    It would be helpful perhaps to focus on "the real issue" of font size and compose, rather to digress into how vendors choose to deliver the product.
    font issues arose in the past year. I forget exactly when. It is quite a bad problem. My recollection is it was a serializer change not done by Thunderbird developers, and that part of it was fixed in version 24. But I could be wrong.
    Would you be willing to try version 31?

  • Drop Zone Template changes from 8 to 2 sec

    Why does a template with a drop zone change the duration from the existing duration to 2 sec? I drop a picture into a drop zone either in the viewer or on the project window. Am I doing something wrong? Library selection/drag to viewer or project window/drop on drop zone.

  • "Replace" does not work with drop zones?

    I set up a project in FCPX using "dummy" stock footage - edited drop zones, changed size/position of clips, etc...
    Now want to simply replace the stock footage with footage from the event browser.
    Dragging selections from the event browser to the timeline causes the replaced footage to appear full-screen - all editing work is lost.
    Is there another way to do this?

    When you drag over a clip in the timeline you are replacing that clip - which is precisely what you are getting, so no weird behavior here.
    How to do it properly depends on which generators you used, but you probably need to just replace the drop zone clips, which is done in the inspector. Select the title or generator and in the inspector select the appropriate drop zone and choose the clip you want.
    In the picture below I am using a split screen generator with two drop zones for left and right. The left drop zone is selected.
    Once I click on a clip in the browser, it will appear; the choice is finalized by clicking the "Apply Clip" button.

  • Dvi to video adapter changes shape

    When I plug my DVI to Video adapter into my macbook pro, all of the displays change shape, and no matter what resolution I choose, it won't go back to it's true size.   When I try a DVI to vga adapter, it works fine.

    Try starting the Mac in Safe mode.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455
    Hopefully that will result in a usable screen. If it does, go into Displays Preferences and change the resolution to what it was when you had things working properly before. Then restart normally and the resolution selection made under Safe mode should persist through the normal restart.

  • Drop Zone Animation

    Is there a way to make a drop zone slide across and off screen in DVD Pro, or is this something you must do in motion?

    Why is it that idvd has animated drop zones, and DVD Pro does not?
    DVD SP does have animated Drop zones, simply drag an m2v from the bin to the menu and a pop up provides choices, and the drop zone is animated, but you asked about something different.
    As mentioned iDVD and DVD SP are different
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2767014&#2767014
    You may be better off with iDVD for the short term unless you need the features of DVD SP.
    Opening an iDVD project is something that many users who use DVD SP probably would not think is high on the "hit parade" of things Apple should change, things higher up include proper HD & blu-ray authoring, clearing out/cleaning up the abstraction layer, etc.
    Remember iDVD is more of a consumer app (and I do like it alot and use it for kicks), but DVD SP is geared to be more "pro". It is actually very easy to use and incredibly powerful, do not be disappointed, you should not be. Use each tool for what it is and what it is designed to accomplish
