Dropdown list not updating when bound db changes

I hope someone can help me. I have a form created by Livecycle Designer ES. It contains a dropdown list populated by a bound to a database table. All works well until the database table is altered. The dropdown list does not reflect the change. It is as if the values were snapshotted when the was saved in Livecycle. I have been unable to find a way to make the list update.
Details:
LiveCycle Designer ES version 8.2.1 - part of Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 with the latest updates.
The table is contained in a SQL Server 2008 R2 database.
The data connection: OLEDB Database,
Provider: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers
Connection: UFN
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for helping. I'm using Acrobat to view the PDF form. Thus, shouldn't have any problem connecting to the database.
I've captured some screenshots as below and hope it helps you understand my situation better.
This is my Access database
This is my PDF. Added a data connection "Product" using SQL Query "SELECT ProductCode, ProductName FROM PUB_Product WHERE ActiveInd=yes" whereby it will only extract the "active" products.
Binded the product code dropdown list with "Product" data connection to populate the list.
The output of the PDF form. Only the active products are being listed.
Now, if let's say I add a new product to my PUB_Product table, the dynamic form will straight away list the new product but not the static form.

In order to see the new product listed in the static form dropdown list, I have to re-open the form in Live Cycle and just simply save it. So my question is, is there anything I can do to skip this "open and save" step?

Shared Variable does not update when typedef is changed

I have a shared variable of type custom control (typedef made up of a cluster). When I chang the typedef, e.g. the name or type of one of the fields in the cluster, and then save it, the shared variable does not update to reflect this change. That is, if I place the shared variable on my block diagram and do a "UNBUNDLE BY NAME" on the output, I see the old fields. I have to go back to the properties of the shared variable, change its data type, apply it, then go back and change it back to my custom control.
Anyone else seen this behaviour? Anyone know how to get the shared variable to update without going through this procedure?

Sharepoint 2013, MS Project 2013 - Task List not updating when the project file is changed

I have created a SharePoint task list and timeline from a MS Project 2013 file on my PC. I have then created a new Project file from that task list which then places the new project file in the site asset folder and provides me with a synced copy. I now
only use the SharePoint copy of the project file in my MS Project as any change I make to the project file should be reflected in the Task list and vice-versa
However if I add some tasks into the middle of the project with MS project, the SharePoint Task list is not updated to show these additional tasks. If I open the SharePoint task list with MS Project - from the task list toolbar - the project file shows the
added tasks.....so the MS Project file in the site asset folder is correct but the tasks in the SharePoint task list is not being updated
Anyone seen this before ?

Hi Esben,
According to your description, the error occurred when opening the task list with the content approval enabled in Project.
Per my knowledge, when we enable the content approval for the task list, the field named Approval Status which is required will be created in the list.
However, if a project plan doesn’t contain a field that is required in SharePoint, the plan won’t sync.
The error occurs because of the required field Approval Status when the content approval is enabled in the task list, so we need to add the required field as a custom field in Project.

Why is my wish list not updating when I add songs through iTunes Radio?

Wish list is not updating.

Count me in the same boat. I'm an iTunes Match customer. While listening to iTunes Radio I push the star and then choose to add to wish list except it never adds. Doing the same function on my Mac works fine.
I found a note from Apple that stated you can only add "albums" to your wish list on iOS 7, not songs. That then begs the question....why add functionality that is purposefully intended to add songs in your own UI????

Word Links not updating when row number changes in excel

I have a huge excel file with employee name,code,dob etc as fields.I linked it to word documents using paste special and macros.Everything works fine and word also updates with changes in excel file, but problem arises when in excel , data is added in the
middle rather than at the end of the file. This changes the row numbers of all the employees.Hence when I open corresponding word document, some one else's details open. So now i have to edit links in word...office->prepare->edit links, Here i
have an option called ITEM IN FILES... this is where the problem occurs...It requires mentioning the row no of the corresponding pasted link...but when i change data in excel and row no changes...this should be automatically detected by Word and row number
should be updated there.Please help me find a way to resolve this.This is what it looks like....

Instead of specifying a cell range in the LINK field, name the range in Excel, then use the range name in the LINK field.
For example, instead of:
VC!R1C2:R2C13
you might have:
VC!MyRange
in Word.
That way, the LINK will point to the named range, regardless of how many rows and/or columns are added/deleted before it. Furthermore, if you expand or contract the range (e.g. by adding/deleting columns between the first & last column), the
named range and, hence the linked range, will likewise expand/contract.

CSCsy35054 - NP1/2 UDP conns not updated when MAC address changes

We have a customer that appears to be experiencing this bug but with FWSM 4.1(15).
There is a Linux HA solution on one side of the FWSM and when a failover occurs the Linux HA sends a Gratuitous ARP which updates the FWSM ARP cache however not all connections are updated. If we sniff traffic exiting the FWSM we can see the destination MAC address for 'some' existing connections have the wrong MAC address (the old MAC address). The clients are constantly sending traffic (SIP) to the Linux server so the connection states are continually refreshed. If we manually clear the connections or let them time out by disconnecting one of the SIP clients for 30-minutes (the default SIP control channel session timeout) it recovers, however this isn't practical.
We have recommended introducing a layer-3 hop between the FWSM and the Linux HA devices as we suspect this will solve the problem (i.e. the destination MAC will be the L3 next-hop and not the Linux server itself). In looking at the issue we identified the behaviour as the same as that documented under BugID: CSCsy35054, however this says it appeared in 3.2(6) and was fixed in 3.2(12.1) & 4.0(5.4) however we are running 4.1(15) which is the latest release.
Any other ideas?

Well your configuration looks great to me... nothing is obviously standing out at least..
If the routers ping request makes it to your client, then the router must at least be able to arp for you.
Have you tried to ping the gateway from the WLC itself? (vlan 171 it appears)
I'm curious if the WLC even gets the ping through. 'show arp switch' on the WLC would show its arp table as well...
I'm not very proficient with the router debugging, but perhaps there is some kind of ARP debug you can run to verify if the ARP request is even coming out of the WLC from your client?
Again, the config looks go to me, so either this is a situation where a nice save config and reboot would come in handy (perhaps coupled with shutting down the interfaces and turning them back on)..... or something just isn't right....
Does this happen with the other vlans you have coming in to the WLC? Perhaps there is just something going on the router side where it isn't responding to the arp.... which comes back to the whole shutting down interfaces and/or rebooting. Obviously this isn't root-cause, but should at least provide sanity-check.

Condition value not updated when qty changed

hi all,
I have created a new condition ZPR1 (copied from PR00) and use a new formula for it.
There is a problem when I change the qty after the item is billed.
Suppose the original qty is 1 and total ZPR1 price is 100. When I change the qty to 2, the ZPR1 price is still 100! It will change to 200 if the item is not billed.
Anybody encounters such problem and how to solve?

I don't mean to change the unit price.
I mean the condition value (the item total price) is not updated
You can't change the price anymore in the condition tab after you billed
But when you change the qty of the item, the total value should change accordingly
And I think for my case I should not cancel the invoice. Suppose original qty is 10, and there is partial shipment of 7 and billed the customer. Later customer request to reduce the qty to 7 to complete the item. We should not cancel the invoice in this case.
Try to test with PR00 and PN00, you will see the item value will be changed according to the item qty.

IPod will not update when plugged into computer?

Just recently my iPod with not update when I plug it into my computer. My iPod does not show up on my Mac or my iTunes. When I plug it in the screen shows the do not disconnect sign. I have tried to reset my iPod and checked for new updates, but they haven't worked. If anyone knows what to do that would be great.

Yes. Since I installed the new system software (10.4.6) update Sunday night, I cannot update any of my iPods except the iPod video. The iPods also do not show up on my desktop. The battery charges but that's all that happens.

All that you had to do was to sign into the old account in order to update those apps. What I mean is that you just needed to sign into that account in the store settings like I described and that should have worked. You didnt need to enter the credit card information again - you justed needed to use the old ID and password.
Anyway, I think the good news is that if everything else is OK with the new account, just download iBooks with the new ID - it's a free app so its not like you have to pay for it again. I'm not sure what the other App is that you are talking about - but if it is the Apple Store App - that is free as well.
Try this anyway, when you try to update iBooks, just use the old password if the old ID still pops up.
Did you try signing into the store settings with your new ID and see what happens with the updates then?

Why the PO action history is not updating when i perform the vacation rules

Can any one explain why the action history is not updating when performed the vacation rules using the below example
Example: A >B>C>D are in the approval hierarchy here I have defined the vacation rules by login to the user C here I selected the item type as “All” and delegated to D.
Now the buyer “A” has sent the document for approval. The user “B” can successfully reserve funds and approved the document. Now the document is automatically delegated to D. Here D can open the document from open notifications and approved the document. Now when I checked the Action history here I cannot find the performed name D who has actually approved the document.
Note:we are using the 11.5.10.2 version.
The Action History in the following manner

From the above action history why the user D name is not showing. Can any one let me know ASAP?

When you set up the vacation rule, if you simply delegate the ownership to D, then C retains the ownership and the approval occurs with C's limits. And hence D is treated as the approver.
If you transfer the ownership, then C is out of the picture. The notification goes to D and when he/she approves, D's limits kick in and he will be seen as approver.

Content does not update when published

My content is not updating when I publish updates to my app. Side loading shows the updates, but an updated published folio doesn't. On the third try, I got a blank light grey screen. I finally had to unpublish and republish the content, which is obviously not an ideal situation.
Are there any known bugs or problems at the moment that could be causing this issue? The DPS Status page doesn't have any info.

I'm not aware of a way to get out of this state cleanly. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixes the problem (unless your unpublish/republish again), but it's difficult to tell your customers to uninstall/reinstall. Another option is to unpublish and then publish the affected folios as different folios, but then some of your users will end up with two versions of a similar folio until they archive the older version.
Let me ask around to make sure that I'm correct about the cause and to see if there's a cleaner workaround.
