Dropdown menus flicker only & can't be selected

When I type a web address, a drop down menu used to appear with suggestions. Now it flickers but cannot be viewed or selections made. Similarly the Most recently viewed dropdown box only flickers. Same this happens when using the quick search box at the right. On web pages the same thing happens with the autocomplete forms. They just flicker and disappear and can't be selected. This only started happening today.

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 8.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
If the problem persist then try a new profile as well

Kind of a weird question; I know. I'm new to both the Adobe Developer forums, and to XMP in general.
Here's the basic gist of what I'm trying to do:
We've got a Group, Category, and Subcategory structure for a given variable. Obviously, the subcategories are unique to a particular category, just as the categories are unique to a particular group; so displayed as a tree:

The subcategories are unique to their categories; just as the categories are unique to their groups. In an effort to prevent garbage coming into the metadata, and because these groups, categories, and subcategories have already been defined, I'd like them displayed as dropdown menus; Once the user has selected a group for the file, the Category dropdown would appear (or become active) and display the Category choices available only to that group, and then do the same in terms of the Subcategory.
I'm guessing that I'll start with a closed choice, assign the values to the groups, and then write a function to display only the choices for that group in the category dropdown. Trouble is, I don't have a whole lot of JavaScript experience -- and the word I've seen tossed around in this area seems to be an Array -- so I'm wondering if I'm barking up the wrong tree. If anyone has some kind of direction to point me in, it'd be helpful.
I'm not looking for someone to do my work for me (that's missing the point) -- this is an exercise in learning XML, Some scripting, Flash Builder, and Javascript, and I'd really like to develop it entirely myself; because I am having fun!!

If so, to be honest, don't ("use it", I mean).
It might have been a reasonable approach to this sort of thing ten years ago, but it's not a very good way of doing this sort of thing these days.
This sort of thing is pretty easy to knock together with some HTML, JQuery to do some JS stuff and a CFC behind the scenes.
Indeed just using some binds to <cfselect> tags would be a better approach.

After the update from 12.0 to 13.0.1 the URL dropdown menu flickers - I can't choose anything. Also some other menus are flickering. Impossible to use.

I can no longer select text in email template or read only field using my mouse in IE or Firefox anymore. We are using CRM 2011 rollup 18 applied with IE 11 and the latest version of Firefox. We only applied roll up 18 in Feb when this issue began.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
These features rely on JavaScript, and it sounds as though you have scripting enabled if you get (the wrong) color changes. Some add-ons might alter the way scripts operate, so a standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode ([[Safe Mode]]) using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
If those features work correctly, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the problem.
To also disable plugins, you can use this page:

If your phone service is disconnected, it's not your number any more.

I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. Trying to get a fourth field to populate based on the selection from three other dropdown menus.

I would like the Treatment Classification field to populate with a combination of text and numbers based on my selection from three other drop down menus.
For example:
If I select "0-No Hurt" in the AHL field, "0-No Hurt in the PHL field, and "Near Miss in the Treatment Choice field, then the Treatment Classification field would populate to "L00NM".
If I select "2-Moderate Hurt: in the AHL, "4-Fatality" in the PHL field, and "Restricted Work Incident" in the Treatment Choice field, then the Treatment Classifiaction field would populate to "L24RWI".
If I select "1-Minor Hurt" in the AHL field, "4-Fatality" in the PHL field, and "Medical Treatment Incident" in the Treqatment Choice field, then the Treatment Classifiaction field would populate to "L14MTI".
Etc, etc, etc.
I could then fill in the resyt of the script with the required text.
Not sure how to load my PDF file.

Do your dropdown list items currently have export values set up? It seems like the value you want to construct is simply concatenating the values of the three dropdowns, and this would be easy if you set the export values of the list items appropriately. For example, the export value for the "0-No Hurt" item would be 0 and for "Near Miss" it would be "NM", etc., so the script could look something like:

var v1 = getField("AHL").valueAsString;
var v2 = getField("PHL").valueAsString;
var v3 = getField("Treatment Choices").valueAsString;

How can I get my dropdown menus to work on Safari?

I am in a real bind here. The blog I use for my class I teach has dropdown menus, but these don't seem to work in Safari on iPad. They work just fine in Chrome, but our lovely school blocks the Chrome browser...Don't even get me started.
Is there something I could add to the code to get these menus to work in Safari on iPad?

Try this ...
Tap Settings > Safari > Advanced then make sure JavaScript is switched ON.
That site is not optimized for iOS devices. Only browsers on desktop computers suport CSS (drop down menus).

Well, yes, in the sense that simplicity has a price: it comes at the cost of reduced functionality. (If all the functionality were still there, things wouldn't be as simple; it's an inevitable trade-off.) It looks like IBA was designed with the iWeb philosophy: make simple things really simple, and leave out the stuff that's too complex to control for non-experts. The upside of course is that non-experts can use the tool really easily.

Sure. But almost all that effort went towards creation of the content, not towards laying it out with IBA (which was remarkably easy). So, in that sense, IBA more than met my expectations. The things it does do, it by and large does really well, and without much expertise needed on my part. The only thing that was complex was the HTML widget, which took some programming. But that's entirely my own fault, not IBA's

Yes, that's the way it works with pictures synced from a comptuer to an iOS device.
If you want to remove specific picstures/albums, do so via iTunes on the computer.
