i upgraded to iOS 6.1.3 and after that my ipod started having trouble charging, at first i though the lightning cable was the problem so i bought 2 more lightning cable chargers and my ipod still would'nt charge, so it died. now the only thing my ipod does is when i try to turn it on it shows the apple logo and then the screen goes off and does it again for a few times and then the screen stays off and my ipod gets really hot but wont turn on for the rest of the day help!!

I have tried to re-start it by holding down the on/off switch and the selections key together for 10 seconds but nothing happens. Ithe Ipod does not show on Itunes but shows in My Computer. When plugged into USB the Ipod gets warm.

okay so one day i pluged my ipod touch in to my charger and it did not work so i got a new charger and it worked fine and about 3 months later i pluged it in aand it would not charge. but i ignored it for then and i just went to my brother because he was updating my ipod to ios 5.1.1 it charged fine on his computer with his charger (the one that comes with the ipod) but it did not work on my charger and after that i pluged my ipod in again and it would not charge i tried in all the places in my house including my computer and it would not charge. now i have hadd my ipod for a year and a half and the place where you put the plug is pretty dirty. so what do you think, is it my ipod or the charger? oh yeah it started to charge for a little bit but as soon as i unpluged it and then put it back in it would not charge again?? please help!!! can i return my ipod and get a new one??

My Ipod touch (4th gen) wont charge, but it will sync, and when I look at itunes the charging icon is there

It wont charge but it is syncing, I recently updated Itunes, and the charging icon shows up on iTunes

Did you try another USB port or the wall adapter, or another USB cable?
Also see if a reset may help. To reset the iPod hold the sleep and home button for about 10 sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data doing a reset.

Ipod has been a little funny latley and not charging every time but now it wont charge at wall or comp with 2 different leads. Put it into sleep mode to try and now it on turn on either. IPOD TOUCH FROZEN AND WONT RESTART

Was in a app when froze and tried to turn off but instead went to a blue screen and wont restart or charge. Its only 4 days old with no damage. Not sure what to do????

You need to press the Power (on the top) and Home (on the front) buttons at the same time and hold them pressed until the Apple logo appears. Then it will re-start.

My ipod, shut down and wont charge, and is completely unresponsive, its only a 5th gen with no damage or anything wrong with it.

i was using my ipod earlier today, had it running via auxilary cable to my work radio, and it was working just fine, and when i pulled the cable out, it shut off, and became unresponsive, i tried charging it with multiple different chargers, from cars, to computers and the wall outlets aswell, nothing works. and nothing has ever gone wrong with it, is there anything that can be done?

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. My ipod won't charge at all unless its plugged into the wall and its cut off on the charger. It won't do anything at all in the computer,it just says its an unknown device. I have no clue what to do. Yes, this is completely normal. You are seeing what is called *Fast Charge*, which will charge your iPod to about 80% capacity in about 2 hours instead of charging it for 4 hours to reach full capacity.
Yes, so after about 2 hours of leaving it charged, it will say 100% but will really only be charged to 80%.
