Droplet for animated giff in Photoshop?

Is it possible to set up a Droplet for Photoshop that could receive multiple files and export them out as one animated gif?
I am trying to place three files into a Droplet I have made for Photoshop with the Actions set so that it converts them into a three frame animation but it doesn't work.
The Actions I have set up are:
Create Frame Animation
Make Frames from Layers
Set Selection:- To: all
Set current animation frames:- To: animation frames   Delay: 3
Are the actions wrong or is it not possible as a Droplet to do this?
Thank you

That will get ugly... You will have to open them up individually, use the animation timeline in frame mode and then use copy&paste frame by frame. The other option would be the frames to layers conversion, but it would similarly entail shuffling around many layers. You'd have it much easier if your images were genuine video files. That way you could simply load them as video layers and treat them as self-contained whole entities...

  • How can I edit a droplet for Photoshop 6?

How can I edit a droplet for Photoshop 6? The company hired somebody to set up the droplet years ago, and nobody remembers how it was set up. The computer that was used to save the files has crashed, and I need to change the path the droplet uses for saving the files. I tried to open the droplet with Image Ready, but it said it was not an image ready droplet and could not be opened. The computer running Photoshop is using Windows XP.

It seems that the script on the ps scripts page is to old to work in cs5.
This is a lnk to xtools 1.8 which has the latest version of the droplet decompiler:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/ps-scripts/files/xtools/
Just unzip, find the Apps folder and look for the DropletDecompiler.jsx.
Then put your droplet on the desktop, Use File>Scripts>Browse in cs5 to navigate to the DropletDecompiler.jsx.
Here's an example using the Aged Photo.exe droplet from the ps 6 samples folder:
here's the resulting action opened in cs5:

  • Photoshop Elements 12 for animation

I've just bought Photoshop Elements 12 with a view to using it to create simple 2D animations.
However, all the tutorials seem to either ignore tihs use or are based on earlier versions and I can't seem to follow them as 12 doesn't work quite the same way/have the same icons/menus.
Can someone please help point me in the direction of something that will help me with creating/editing animations, or tell me I'm using fundamentally the wrong software for animation and should just give up and buy something else (in which case any suggestions gratefully received!).  I'm using Photoshop on a PC.
    Many thanks

You would really need the companion program Premiere Elements 12 as ideally key frames are needed for video and animation.

I am trying to create a simple animated gif in Photoshop. I've set up my frames and want to use the tween to make the transitions less jerky. When I tween between frame 1 and frame 2 the object in frame two goes out of position, appearing in a different place than where it is on frame 2. Confused!

Hi Melissa - thanks for your interest. Here's the first frame, the second frame and the tween frame. I don't understand why the tween is changing the position of the object in frame 2, was expecting it to just fade from one frame to the next.

  • Animated PNG in Photoshop?

I know how to creat animated GIF files in PS without issue. Is there anyway to create an Animated PNG in Photoshop? (including using 3rd party plugins)

Has support for video formats progressed to the point where you can have a small, high-quality animated element right inline on a page without a play button?  And is there (partial) transparency in any video format?
One does see such things in Flash, and I've certainly still got to go educate myself better on what can be done with HTML5.
As far as having animated PNGs, it's not hard to think of applications where elements appear to hover over other elements on the page, perhaps drop shadows on the background, and move smoothly.  As a primitive example, bring up this page with a PNG, resize it, and (assuming the movement animates quickly for you, as it does in IE9) note how it catches your interest because it's doing something uncommon...  We've had GPUs that can easily facilitate real-time multilayer combinational rendering for a while now.  Granted, it might not be good to have EVERYTHING moving around and jockeying for position in the Z-order all at once.  That could end up as a good ol' fashioned mess.  But imagine the above ball rolling onto the page, and the pieces animating to show the prospective buyer how the puzzle works.
With any data on the net, it's always a given that "less is better", but data size is not the only concern.  The job is being done in the first place to create value -- if no one thought that actually putting rich, eye-catching elements on web pages was valuable then all we'd have is black text on gray backgrounds.

  • I need to create an animation sequence in photoshop cs6 longer than 5 seconds

I need to create an animation sequence in photoshop cs6 longer than 5 seconds. please help.

What problem are you having that should be easy just create the layer to make frames with. Create a frame animation in the timeline panel. Create the frames and set their display time. Save an animated gif for the web ie "Save For Web"
Prior to CS6 Photoshop only had a Animation Palette in CS Adobe replaced the palette with the Timeline Palette that can do Frame animations and Video. You can render a fame animation as a video but video does not support transparency like and animated Gif.

  • Premiere timeline printing (for animation x-sheet use)

I have used a very old version of adobe premiere (premiere 5 windows) to print timeline pdfs of pix icon and waveform of animatic quicktimes. I would add anotations to these in acrobat for specific animation timing direction ( as replacement for traditional animation exposure sheets). My problem is that adobe long ago dropped their print timeline feature in more recent versions and I can't get the old version of premiere to even launch under any recent OS....
I'm hoping there is a way to do the same thing with new Premiere Pro CC ....(just print premiere timeline of pix icons with audio waveform).. or a third party export for animation exposure sheet use... Any Suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Woody

    Woody,
Thinking about your situation, I wonder if something like this would be useful (what Joe suggested, but with variations):
I just expanded a blank Narration Audio Track, to about 6x the width of the displayed Video Track, did a screen-cap, brought it into Photoshop, and Selected that area of the Narration Track, applied a Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer to it, to give room for annotations, etc.. As I only have PrPro 2.0 on this old laptop, things will look a bit different, but with the Adjustment Layer, it will not matter if the GUI is a darker gray.
One can always add a blank Track, where desired, and expand it to suit. One could also create a white Filled Shape, w/ grid (see below), and just have that ready to be Pasted into the screen-cap of the Timeline. One could probably create an Action, or a Script, to handle much of that automatically, or at least semi-automatically.
It is missing the grid, that your image shows, but one could easily create that with Paths and a thin Stroke on a Layer.
There IS a little work to be done, but not THAT much.
    Just thinking of a workaround.
    Good luck,

  • Animation tools in Photoshop?

I am presently using Photoshop CS3 for animations and I must say that the tools are simple and easy to underatand. but I can't help noticing that most of the features pertaining to the animation aspect of Photoshop has not be improved since ImageReady. Now I have been trying to tween layer scale and rotate transformations but it doesn't work,if you scale a layer in a frame,it affects the others.
Pls,I am asking the developers to add the following features for Photoshop CS6:
Motion Tween presently has layer position, opacity and effects(It has been this way since Image Ready to CS5).Kindly add scale, rotate, and other transformations.I do not know why this has not been added.
-Also allow importation of audio files preferably wav,asf files.
I am begging you guys. This software is very popular around the world. If you add these,it will make animating so much easier.Right now,I have to make the frames into layers and resize each layer to animate scale transforms and it is time consuming.

Well..to some Photoshop might not appear like an ideal tool for animation but most people use Photoshop for drawing and painting and its better than most softwares in this respect though I hear corel painter is cool.So wouldn't it be cool for people who use Photoshop for drawing and painting and are familiar with it features to use it for animating.I do not know what you have against the software.
I enjoy animating the traditional way.Thats my own preference. It encourages creativity and I do not consider it tedious at all. Some people still make use of the lightbox for animating.I have tried Anime Studio and I hated the graphics and the whole drawing a character and sticking bones, painting skin weights that leads to bad deformation in certain areas.Keyframing with numbers and all that stuff. The animated movements look robotic.Animated shows like atomic betty and King Authur seem like softwares done with Anime Studio.I hate all those long process and key framing and whatever workflow.
With Photoshop, all I need to do is just draw.Thats all.To some people, drawing and colouring every frame may be work but I enjoy doing that.I even know of someone who used Flash and switched to Photoshop because of its graphics capablilities are far better than Flash.
I realize Photoshop might be lacking some features but because it does doesn't mean its not an ideal tool.Thats your opinion. If its not,why does the extended version have timeline animation(which I dislike).Simply put,Its not up to you to decide whether Photoshop gets these features or not.Adobe will decide.Stop discouraging them.Adobe might even make these features available as a plugin or patch that will be compatible with CS3 upwards.I enjoy using it for animation presently.
Here is something I did in Photoshop some time back.Took me two days:
Was real fun to animate. There are others far better than me.I hope I get better so Adobe,I will really appreciate it if these features are added.

Mac or PC ? - I believe that Adobe switched the processing functions for 3D rendering in Photoshop CC to VRam.
To upgrade the Vram on my existing iMacs cost-effectively entails new upgraded iMacs.
So I am now needing to purchase new desktop computers for production purposes and seperately for an education institute - PC's or Macs?
Is this shift to Vram for image rendering affecting any processing functions of the other applications in the suite - the ones I use the most are Photoshop, Bridge, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, inDesign, & SoundBooth
I also use Strata 3D, Lightwave, Maya, Cinema 4D, Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro,
I will be using the suite in a Graphic design, Photography, Video editing / sound recording / editing (I am also a musician), animation and 3D context.

This forum is primarily for a few users like me to answer questions about installation, serial numbers and general issues regarding the Creative Suite. We don't have to expertise to answer questions like you're asking. Otherwise, few people visit this forum.
You'd do best to pick the forums of the applications you use the most, especially applications that test the limits of your computer (probably Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop) and ask in those forums.

  • How to make animated blood in Photoshop CS6?

I am wondering how I can make animated blood using Photoshop CS6. I have looked for tutorials and can't find anything. I want to make a render look like it's crying blood, so the blood would be running down the cheeks and dripping off the chin. Please help!

There isn't going to be really an automated way of doing this. Animation in Photoshop is very simple. You can basically animate just position and scale (also Layer Effects, but that generally isn't as helpful). You could, of course, hand animate this by drawing each individual frame like traditional animation. Each frame of animation would be a separate layer and you could animate the layer visibility. Or you could draw the last frame of blood flow on one layer and animate a mask that slowly reveals the blood trail.

  • Puppet Warp-style effect for animations?

    Hi everyone,
I am new to After Effects, and I want to use it to make animations that I can later on play back in an interactive way.
What I basically want, is to project an animation onto a physical shape with a beamer. This shape will have a certain profile and relief, so a "flat" animation will look pretty weird (it is not a flat surface). I want the animation to look smooth and consistent, so I quess I should morph the pixels of the animation. (fore-shortened parts for slanted surfaces)
I know there are (non-animating) effects in Photoshop like transform, Puppet Warp and alike. But I would like to apply this transformation to the entire animation, instead of a single frame/image.
My question is: is it possible to morph an entire animation in a Puppet Warp-ish way?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kind regards,
    Jeroen

Okay, thanks! Should have tried out some effects before I posted the question here. Apologies. Warping an entire animation is rather easy: I just make an animated gif that would look good on a flat surface, and then I apply a mesh warp or some effect like that to the layer on the timeline. In this case, I warp without adding keyframes, so the animation is warped in the same way throughout the animation.
Lesson learned: first dive into the software, THEN look for relevant questions and ask one..

  • Where is the window for animation?

I dont know where is the window for animation in Photoshop CS6.
did you guy get rid of this window when you developed Photoshop CS6?
I remember the previous version has this window.
let me know where is it.
    Thank you very much.

The Timeline Palette can create both Frame Animation and Video when you have a document open.

  • Be grateful for your help with Photoshop Elements which I have been using for several years.

Be grateful for your help with Photoshop Elements which I have been using for several years.  Does Elements need to have access to ‘My Pictures’ on Windows as when I remove Photos from ‘My Pictures’, Elements later, when backing up, gives a message that it is unable to ‘reconnect’ to the same picture on elements.  On other occasions when removing a photo from Elements catalogue I also get a similar message when backing up saying ‘unable to reconnect’.  1. Is there a relationship between Elements and My Pictures and is Elements dependant on    the Windows ‘My Pictures’? 2. Why does some photos in Elements in some cases cause them to multiply e.g. double; triple; quadruple; and on occasions even more?  Is there something I need to do to stop this or an easy way I can remove the multiples without spending hours doing it manually one by one?  Am I doing something wrong? My O/S is Windows XP SP2 and windows Vista on my Laptop.  I have been using Elements 5 and have just purchased Photoshop Elements 8.0. (Upgrade) and about to install it. Be grateful for any advice as I do enjoy using the program if only I can resolve this issue.  I am not a PC wiz and mainly use Elements to catalogue photos from which I compile collections and from them slide shows with music.  Any advice appreciated Sonny.t PS Have tried to post this previously but without success so hoping to see message appear and a +response

The organizer doesn't care where you send your photos when you download them via the downloader or where they happen to be when you first bring them in if you use the Get Photos command, but once your pics are in the Organizer, you *must* move them from within organizer or it can't find them. You don't have to use My Pictures at all if you don't want to, but regardless of the folder where you put your photos, if you want them someplace else, you use organizer to do it.
