Droplets don't open
i have previously created droplets in cs7 and then run them in imageready 7.0
now all of a sudden when I go to open newly created droplets in imageready I'm getting
I can still open the droplets previously created in previous sessions
they are still created the same way as the previous ones that worked
in cs7
create new action
start recording
do some stuff
stop recording
file/automate/create droplet
start imageReady
file/open
any ideas what might be causing this to happen?
To edit your droplet in ImageReady, File>Open Recent or File>Open and choose your droplet.
After you open the droplet, double click at the top where it says batch options
to change where the files will be saved. Then File>Save, to save the changes you
have made to the droplet.
I don't think you can run the droplet from inside ImageReady, you have to drop your files
or folder into the droplet in the location you saved it to.
The photoshop help that came with ps7 has some stuff about ImageReady.

I use a new computer for a few months now and I re-created a number of droplets from photoshop cs4 to use them on this computer (old cum
puter was Windows XP, new computer is Windows 7).
On my new computer the droplets don't work, When I drop a file onto a droplet, Photoshop opens, and then nothing happens.

Operating System: Windows 7I was hoping for a better reply to the droplet issue. I also have W7 and Photoshop CS4 and cannot get a droplet to work. My actions work properly, but when I use a droplet, the only thing that happens is the Photoshop button blinks on the W7 bottom toolbar.
I am also not finding much out there about solutions to this issue on Adobe's site and Google.
Please post something here or link to another thread if someone has found a solution to this issue.

There are some keyboard commands (shortcuts) you can use instead of having to go to the Apple menu -
Control-Eject This brings up the Restart-Sleep-Cancel-Shutdown window.
Command-Option-Eject This puts the machine to sleep.
Command-Control-Eject This closes all apps and restarts the machine.
Command-Option-Control-Eject This closes all apps and shuts the machine down. -
Attachment don't open en previewer is not working in Outlook 2013
When i get office attachments in an e-mail in outlook 2013 on a windows 8.1 pro.
The attachments don't open. And the previewer of outlook tels me that the content can not be previewed.

Did you get any error message when you try to open attachments?
What's the file type of the attachments? Can you open and preview a Word or Excel attachment in Outlook? By default, Microsoft Outlook 2013 blocks potentially unsafe attachments (including .bat, .exe, .vbs, and .js files) that can contain
viruses.
In addition, please try to clean out the Temporary Outlook Files folder to check if it helps. See:

Safari don't open tabs from last session
Hello,
In Safari/Preferences in Safari Opens With I choose the option all tabs from last session (I've translate menus my safari was in portuguese so I don't know exactly how the options are in english).
But when I open safari, it's open only one blank tab, and don't open any tab from the last session, someone knows how can I solve this problem?

After upgrade to 10.9.3 - Finder don't open
Hi All,
After I upgrade OSX to 10.9.3 my finder don't open anymore or sometimes the finder screen open and close in a loop.
I tried to clean all system cache, but anything happens :-(
I cannot restore any backup because the problem didn't permit me to enter in timemachine.
Someone see something like this or have any advise ??

Software OS X 10.9.3 (13D65)1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the request of a stranger. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with "Model Identifier." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
Note: This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.

My CC, Illustrator and InDesign don't open
My CC app, Illustrator and Indesign don't open.
They just don't respond to anything. And the CC app doesn't appear on my dock. Adobe Manager doesn't work either. the only program that works is premiere.
NO problem appers on screen, they just don't respond.
What should I do?What can I do?Please help.

As a testing purpose could you please try opening the applications in root account: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528 and let us know if still the same issue.

From what I understand RAW photos are supposed to open in raw in photoshop CC. I don't understand why my RAW photos don't open in RAW in photoshop CC or Lightroom 5

What is the file extension of your photos ?
In Lightroom, there is no special way of opening a RAW file vs. JPEG. They all open the same. What is the Lightroom behavior ? Can you post a screenshot ? -

What do I need to do to open Office 2004 (word AND excel) documents? PowerPC issues etc. They don't open on iWork '08. Happy to upgrade to iWork or Office just to be able to access my docs from Office 2004 again - please can someone advise? Cheers.
Hi - thanks for this info. Actually I have downloaded a 30-day trial of MS Office for Mac 2011 and it reads/writes. But I was expecting that if I saved it again, either as xls oe xlsx, then I would be able to open the newly-saved document in iWorks '08. This is not the case, any ideas why? cheers, Matt.

Word docs don't open full screen on iBook
My brother, up in Maine, I'm in NY, has an iBook with Word X on it. (I don't know the version of OSX he has but he probably hasn't updated it since he bought it... I am not sure of the model of his iBook either. I can find out.) His main complaint is that Word documents don't open full-screen (once he drags the window to fill the screen) upon reopening or with new blank documents.
I am wondering if Word doesn't like certain screen resolutions. I don't know what he is using now but I have suggested he try some others. Does anyone know if Word docs won't act right under certain screen resolutions? Or if it is something else, what can we do so that docs open fully.
He bought the Mac thinking it was easier to use but this one thing has kept him from using it at all! He is using this for his business, a used book shop, and would use Word to list books. I hope to fix this so he can see the value of the Mac.

You may want to poke around on Microsoft's Mactopia and see if there are some hints for him there. -
So just the document I was last working on in pages won't open. I can't email it either it just sits preparing the document no matter what format I try. I can copy it, but the copies don't open either. I tried deleting documents in pages as well as the app and reinstalling it, but nothing has helped.
Try quitting Pages and then reset your iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.
Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem. -
Documents in Word for Mac 97-2004 don't open in Word for Mac 2011
I have some Word documents that have been created in Word 97-2004. I didn't have any trouble with opening them on my Mac until I updated Word for Mac to 2011. Now they don't open anymore and I get a message that the document type is blocked by Word for Mac
2011. How can I open these documents again?

Droplets don't work in OS X 10.6!!!
Honestly Adobe, this is inexcusable! Work it out with Apple and make my droplets work again. This is very problematic for my work flow. Oh, and they don't work even if I'm running PS CS4 in Rosetta. There is no way to make the individual droplet run in Rosetta. Y'all can't do your same old song and dance about not updating or fixing this issue like you do with old versions of Adobe products because droplets don't work in CS4 products, which if you didn't know is your current version!! This is a known issue and no loyal Adobe customer should be content with..."it simply doesn't work, oh well." Which, is exactly the impression I am getting from your response in tech support.

And by the way, Apple was using Intel before 10.6. So your reasoning is way off, not to mention your so-called solution doesn't work either. Bottom line: Fix it.I'm sorry, but I shouldn't have to go back to 10.5.8 to get features of my app to work. All other apps work fine using Rosetta. But, not droplets in PS, even when I'm running it under Rosetta. Apple has made updates to 10.6 to address problems with Adobe products, namely issues with saving, printing etc. Surely they didn't do this without some collaboration with Adobe? Am I going to have to wait for CS5 before droplets and other such features work in 10.6? I'd gladly take the issue up with Apple, but they'd tell me that it isn't their product and to contact Adobe, which is more or less the case here. Unless Adobe has CS5 coming out in the next couple of months isn't it reasonable to suggest that Adobe work with Apple to correct some of these issues? Perhaps Adobe could discover why droplets don't work in Rosetta, which would essentially be the same as reverting back to 10.5.8 for the specific app. I understand very well how updates of any kind can cause issues. But a lack of effort to remedy these issues by either party involved is simply not fair. "Oh well" just isn't acceptable anymore. If Adobe or Apple made a noticeable effort and still failed to correct the issues, then fine. Some things can't be fixed. However, I suspect that in this case the issues have been given little attention.
