Droplets stop working in Photoshop CS2

Droplets won't work if you uninstalled Photoshop after creating the droplet and reinstalled it to a different location than before. Some registry keys don't get removed during the uninstall and the reinstall doesn't overwrite them, which breaks the droplet. The attached DropletFixer.vbs file fixes those registry keys.
Instructions:
1. Download the attached file to your desktop.
2. Unzip with Winzip.
3. Doubleclick on the DropletFixer.vbs file.
4. The message "Your registry value appears to be incorrect. I expected: " & pathToExe & " but I read: " & pathToLibrary & ". Would you like me to fix?" appears.
5. Click yes.
Note: Clicking Yes will modify your registry.

Try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.
A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.

Hi all,
I am experiencing a problem with my Intuos Pro Medium (driver 6.3.9w3 on Windows 8.1)
I am using Lighroom 5.6 and Photoshop CC 2014.
I an get the pen pressure to work in Photoshop without any problem. However, if I go into Lightroom and use the Local Adjustment Brush and then transfer the photo into Photoshop (Right Click Edit In => Edit in Adobe Photoshop 2014 CC) then the pen pressure stops working in Photoshop.
Really frustrating... The only workaround is to close both Photoshop and Lightroom, then reopen Photoshop, then usually the Pen pressure feature starts working again.
Has anyone experienced this before or has any idea how to fix this?

Your tablet driver isn't reporting pressure correctly.
The knockoff tablet drivers usually need to be revised for each new version of Photoshop (and we have no idea why).
Contact your tablet maker to see if they have updated drivers to fix their bugs.

Apple Symbols font not working with Photoshop CS2...

This seems rather strange to me, but only a few characters will type....I've tried 'option+key' - 'control+key' - shift+key and 'apple+key' ....and the ones that show up, I do not even see in the font book display of this font. I have done a search and found a document about "special characters and symbols", but could not find the described character palette in PS.
Should I be using some other key - like an F key or something?

If so, the most likely cause is the drastic change in internal text handling between them. In AS2.x, internal text is Unicode only, which might prevent PSCS2 from resolving 'file path_string' descriptor (when path_string is assumed to be plain 'string', not Unicode text).
Try the following code instead -

end tell

set a to "AV:logo:rot0001.png" as alias

I have a script that I wrote a while ago to take a series of individual bitmaps and compile them into a strip for access inanothe application. Script used to work well....
I tried to use the script today but ran into a brick wall when trying to open files from within the script.
below is an example of a script that will not work at all,
tell application "Adobe Photoshop CS2"
open file "AV:logo:rot0001.png"
end tell
I normally pass the function a variable for the filenames...but the above script should work fine.. but flatly refuses to !
Below is the Error returned.
Adobe Photoshop CS2 got an error: General Photoshop error occurred.
- The object “current document” is not currently available.

Editor stops working in Photoshop Elements 7.3

I am having probelms with the Photoshop Elements editor stopping working in Windows 7. It worked for awhile and worked fine in Windows XP. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling to no avail. Any ideas???

First, yes, I used original media to reinstall after I did an Uninstall and both of these were done from an Administrator account. This is my laptop and I am the only person with an account on it… it is both Admin account and user account.

HELP!! Does anyone else have their entire keyboard stop working with photoshop?

This varies for me but most of the time whenever I use Photoshop CC and CS6 my ENTIRE keyboard stops working. Not just the shortcuts but even in other apps too. The only keys that remain functional are the fn, control, option, shift, delete, all of the F keys, and command keys. I am not sure if this is due to me not having enough ram (I have 4 GB). Does anyone else have this problem and if so what did you do to fix it?

I also have this issue and it's driving me bonkers.
Latest Photoshop CC, up-to-date.
Win 8.1 Pro
Das Keyboard Pro on USB3 port.
Issue only with Photoshop - no other applications.
I have tried a brand new machine and a brand new keyboard (replaced my main workstation recently), so I know for sure it's not an issue with any of my hardware. I also know for sure that it's not an issue belonging only to one OS version, as I had the same issue with win7pro and win8.1pro.
For me the issue is that ALL keyboard keys stop responding completely in Photoshop until I hit the Windows key or otherwise maximise/bring to focus any other application, such as desktop or Outlook etc. Then I immediately bring Photoshop CC back into focus and the keyboard works again. Then after a few moments/clicks/commands the keyboard dies again.
The issue is 100% local to Photoshop CC, is not related in any way to Wacom drivers (I don't have any installed and don't use a tablet), is not related only to one OS and is not hardware related, as far as I can tell. Once again, I've had these issues on-and-off across 2 different machines with different keyboards.
I'm wondering if it's related to Teamviewer, since TV creates focus issues with certain other applications/games etc. I will try with TV closed and see if the problem goes away.
All CC apps are up-to-date.

Fill has stopped working in Photoshop CS5.

I know it's not an opacity, blending, or wrong layer issue. It just stopped working about a week ago. I'm afraid some setting got changed accidentally, and even when I shut down my computer and restart, it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Photoshop CS2 droplets stop working 25+ photos

I have three machines with this same issue. XP pro fresh install of everything, OS, PS CS2, LR 1.3, etc. All updates. I found this problem related to someone updating PS from CS to CS2, but not for a fresh install. I had this same problem before my most recent XP reformat too-I reformat my machines about once a year.
Now to my problem, I can't run a droplet on more than 25 images at a time. I have tried multiple combinations of file/folder/droplet locations. Running the droplets from LR 1.3.1 does the same thing. Running from Bridge also will not work. It works fine for a few images, but not for 50 or 100 or more.

Upgrade to OS X 10.9 Mavericks and CS 5.1 Droplets stop working!

Adobe website said drag older droplet to photoshop icon and it will be resaved as droplet.app but that didn't work. the website then said recreate the droplet but that is also not working. What is going on? Do i actually have recreate the action from scratch and then save a new droplet?!

I made a new action from scratch and it does work (sorta). Which means there is a lot of work in my future to recreate all my actions!
But the droplet doesn't show as a photoshop droplet. i get a generic file icon (see below) And, I couldn't find it right away because it's creation date says June 2011!?! when i made it today Dec. 2013. So something is definitely wrong!

Droplets not working :( LR, Photoshop CS4, Windows 7

Hi all,
I'm trying to get my computer back to how it was before I installed Windows 7 and there's one thing I can't get working: my sharpen droplets, created in CS4.
Before they would all work (in LR2 and LR3beta) but now they won't work.
I've tried this process:
1.) Open the Control Panel / User Accounts / Change User Account Control settings
2.) Drop the slider bar all the way to the bottom to "Never Notify"
3.) Open Photoshop and create your droplets
4.) Right-click on each droplet and select "Properties"
5.) Click on the "Compatibility" tab
6.) Check the "Run this program as an administrator" box
7.) Click "Change settings for all users"
8.) Check the other "Run this program as an administrator" box
9.) "OK" to exit both windows
10) Go back to the Control Panel / User Accounts / Change User Account Control settings
11.) Slide the bar back to where you had your security settings (usually at the default setting)
11) Restart Photoshop
However, while it will now at least RUN the droplet from within LR (ie. it will boot Photoshop), it now comes up with an error "feather command not available" while trying to run it. I don't even use feather in the actio! All it does is a duplicate layer smart sharpen, convert to profile, a save and a close.
Does anyone have any idea? It's SO annoying...

Keyboard Shortcuts not working in Photoshop CS2

I'm using an apple 17" powerbook. 1 G RAM. OSX 10.4.3 . The Space Bar and other keys don't allow for the hand too or pen tips to change. It worked before. Anyone have a quick fix. I tried deleting my Photoshop Prefs in my User folder.

I'm having problems as well.
1. My brush decrease and increase shortcuts are not working and when I try to edit them in preferences I get a foreign language.
2. If I type and try to arrow back or delete I get key strokes such as : or %.
3. I can not nudge my objects the software is not responding.
4. I can not simply copy and paste a layer, I have to duplicate it first.
When I loaded CS2 onto my computer I picked North American English as the language, I checked my computer to see if anything would be prompting the foreign language and everything is set for english. Please help as this is very annoying and I have to do all edits the old fashioned way which is what I was trying to avoid by purchasing CS2 in the first place.

Tool Menu Stopped working in Photoshop CS6 Mac?

Today when I opened my Photoshop CS6 on my Mac in OS 10.9, the tool menu stopped allowing me to select a different tool by clicking on the lower right arrow in the tool boxes. Before, I could click on , say the brush tool, and hold the mouse down to select a different kind of paint brush. Now nothing happens when I click?
I tried trashing preferences, checking my mouse preferences, etc. Nothing seems to be different, and yet this maddening behavior has taken over.
Right click does open up the menu, but I much prefer the old way.
Anyone encounter this problem?

The popup list seems to have a time delay built in that at times I have seen not work. A right click the will usually pop up the list. Resetting tools and preferences and reboot is wort a try to fix the behavior

Droplets stopped working in Windows 7

I've used droplets for a very long time. And they were working fine under Win7RC. But last week I updated to the released version of Windows and haven't been able to find a way to make droplets work ever since.
I drag files onto a droplet. Photoshop CS4 launches if it wasn't already running and then flashes the icon in the taskbar (whether it was previously running or not)) but then nothing ever happens.
I can't remember where I saw it, but I think I remember seeing an error message during one of my attempts - something about not being able to communicate with photoshop.
Running a batch works fine. It's has something to do with the droplet telling Photoshop what to do.
Any ideas?

One possible clue: If I drag a file onto a droplet, it launches 64-bit CS4 (which I don't normally use due to problems with plugins).
Under Win7RC I always had to launch 32-bit CS4 first, then drag files onto the droplet. And that's what I'm doing now with the released version of Win7. I just can't figure out why it doesn't work now.
