Dropped Sony Xperia Z1

My Z1 accidentally fell on the floor. It fell on its back. There's nothing wrong with the phone externally. But I'm afraid something might have happened internally. I saw this drop test done by Android Authority where the Z1 died on the third drop. Everything was okay from the outside, but something went terribly wrong on the inside. I hope that doesn't happen to my phone. Although I might just be paranoid.
Did anyone drop their phone? What did you experience after?

Me too accidentally dropped my z1 while cleaning it with the protective casing removed. The z1 landed on the tile floor squarely with the front facing down. Immediately examined the external of the phone and found no single scratches on all the exterior surfaces & corners since it landed squarely on the front face. However, I noticed there is something shinny at the top right corner of the screen. I guess the strong impact on the hard floor have caused some tiny speck of black coating behind the screen been chipped off and revealed the metal frame underneath. Switched on the phone & examined the touch screen, go to settings-> about phone->Diagnostics and performed the device test. The phone is intact.

Very very disappointed to Sony Xperia Z2

hi, i bought Sony Xperia Z2 mid of last year, i very happy to own it because it's has the best camera for Android.but after less than half years, this phone had "Ghost Screen" as this thread - https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z2/GHOST-touch-problem-Z2/td-p/663333 that time i tried factory reset and all suggestions from google results also not working,so i send to warranty, and wait almost 1 month just can get back my phone, and i noticed that phone i received is not same as my original phone, i think Sony Server Center changed another phone for me, either repaired phone by other owner or new phone,but this is not a big issue, as long as i can use back my phone now Sony Xperia Z2 give me another issue - "Camera Not Available"many functions cannot use included Camera, Video and others, except these, battery also drain very fast, overnight the battery can drop from 30% to 2% without data and wifi my warranty is over, but i will send it to warranty, if need any charges i won't consider to repair anymore and just keep it as backup phone, and buy another new flagship phone NOT from SONY anymore last to say, i really disappointed to Sony phone

Did you try to do a PC Companion phone repair? This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory.
Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

How much to remove scratches off sony xperia z1

My little brother had dropped my phone and the screen has a very noticeable scratch covering 2/3 of the screen. Does anybody know how much to remove the scratch from shops or something or any screen protector that can hide the scratch
Any advice is appreciated

It all depends on how deep this scratch is. Sometimes you can hide a scratch by applying a screen protector and if it really minor you can polish it away just using a cloth.

Sony Xperia M no signal - SIM works in other phones

Hello.
I have recently had problems with my Sony Xperia M phone.
I recently dropped the phone and the screen had cracked and so i issued for a fix at a local shop and so i had to remove my sim card, sd card etc. As the phone returned to me i have not been able to have a signal however i get a very slight signal 5 minutes away from my home which makes no sense as i used to get full bar signal strength in my home before i took it in to get fixed.
I have searched for mobile network operators at home and it will not pick up any at all.
I have tried a factory reset; this did not work.
I have tried the Sony 'Update Service' and have also updated my phone to the latest version but nothing is working at all which is leaving me somewhat confused.
Heres what it says when i go to 'about phone':
Network: no service
Signal strength: 0dBm 99asu
Mobile network type: unknown
Service state: out of service
Roaming: not roaming
Mobile network state: disconnected
My phone number: unknown
IMEI: removed by alexdon - no private info on the forum
IMEI SV:
Also i have tried my sim card in my friends and parents phones and it works perfectly just like it used to. Also have tried their sim cards in my phone and they could not get a signal at all (the people were on my network also).
I'd appreciate help as i'm getting very frustrated.

Hello, I'm wondering if you can help. I have the Sony Experia M2 and the exact sae thing has happened to me - broken screen, got it fixed and now I continually have no service. It has come back for brief periods agin and then leaves, so frustrating! I was wondering if you managed to overcome this and what you did? Would really appreciate any help you can offer. Sony Xperia Z3 screen problem

Hello, I have my Sony Xperia Z3 from 4 months and now, after the update of the system I have big problem . My screen doesn't work normally. When i try to touch it, on the screen appears black lines, green and purple spots. I didn't dropped, , neiher make it wet. I tried to repair the phone with Pc Companion but it doesn't work. I'm sorry to hear that. But if you have tried with a software repair via PC Companion but the problem persist, it sounds more related to a hardware problem. I suggest that you visit nearest service center to have the phone exmained by a technician. Sony Xperia M4 Vertical lines on display

I bought my Sony Xperia M4 Smart phone in Khobar, KSA last month. But, within 20 days of use, it is showing Vertical lines on the display, even it comes on photos also. I have given the phone to Sony Service centre(Modern Electronics- Khobar, It is in a remote place and not easy to approach everytime) two weeks before, it is still there under service for more than two weeks.I am very much disappointed with Sony, ofcourse i am a fan of Sony brand. Now i am feeling that i choosed wrongly this brand since i could not use the phone for this long time.It should be a manufacturing defect (It has no damage and not dropped anytime) but i am the one suffering. Sony Xperia Z touch screen not responding

My Sony Xperia Z has been giving me problems ever since I bought it in May 2013.By October 2013 I had to send this phone for repair twice.In the last 9 months though it was doing well and there no problem till today afternoon when I found out that the touch screen was not responding.The phone was on charge when this happened and there was a heavy downpour though not a single drop fell on the phone.I tried using the power button to switch it on and off but could not use the shut the phone option because the touch screen wont respond.I have rebooted the phone and switched it off using the power+volume up button multiple times since then.After about an hour when I was trying for the umpteenth time to key in my password I saw that some numbers were randomly getting punched in.After several attempts the phone's touch screen did respond and I was able to make a call but post that the touch screen went back to the not responding mode.Another hour later and exposing the phone to the sun beating down while i was in a car helped and this time I was able to see all my msgs and mails.My elation was shortlived as the phone went back to the touch screen not responding mode.I had a short trip to make by air and I switched off my phone and put it on charge using the USB connected to my laptop.When I switched on after landing I found that I was able to key in my password but after that the phone again got stuck.Since this last occurence about two hours ago the touchscreen has not responded.It is frustrating to see that msgs are coming,people are calling and I can see the numbers,mails are getting downloaded but I cant do anything about it.Right now the phone is submerged in a jar of rice in the hope that the mositure might dry out and it will be back to normal again.Please suggest whether using the hair dryer would help or not.I must repeat the phone has not got wet.I also removed the screen guard on both the ends and the back cover to allow the phone to breath.Waiting anxiously for help

I forgot pattern lock on my Sony Xperia Z1 and i need it back

on my sony xperia z1 phone i forgot my pattern lock. I can't use the Forgot Pattern Lock because it uses Wifi conection which i can't connect to...(my screen is locked) I want to hard reset it somehow but i tried allmost every method on the internet but none of them were working I tried holding the volume up and these things....but as i said it won't work for me. Can anyone please help me? THANK YOU VERY MUCH

In order to fix this you need to perform a system repair
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet compact handsfree does not work

Hi,
I just bought a xperia z3 tablet. When i plugged in the handsfree, the sound doesnt come out from handsfree but from the phone speaker itself. I have tried other handsfree and the result is still the same.

Sony Xperia Z1S Battery Life Issue Solved :D

Hi guys I just bought a Sony Xperia Z1s on tmobile 2 days ago,at the begining the phone was working awesome, fast ,no battery drain to worry about,but I transfered all the pics I had on my Iphone and it took like 14Gb of space on my Sony,then I suddenly realize that the phone was draining my battery sooo fast I started to worry, I looked all over the internet and I couldnot find any help,so I just went back and removed everything from my Sony(photos,contacts,everything) and I did a Factory Reset,wiped out my phone,now my phone works perfectly,no battery drain,no freezes,no crashes,I unpluged my phone from the charger at 12pm and its already 10:33pm and my battery percentage its 70%(facebook,youtube,Instagram,Vine,SMS,facebook messenger) and it only has used 30% of my battery,AWESOME!!!!!

You may be mixing up two entirely different Adobe products.
1. Adobe Flash Player. Needed to view web pages designed with Flash. Not needed to view PDF files. Not available for Android (not just Sony).
2. Adobe Reader. Reads PDF files. However, the Android can also read most PDF files without needing Adobe Reader.

Can I sync my microsoft outlook calendar on a mac with a calendar on a sony xperia z3?

Short answer: NO!
We had all thought that MobileMe would do this with push technology, but MobileMe turned out to be less than expected (IMAP) and incompatible with Outlook if you use Exchange, which is the case with most corporate uses. However, if you have the option to run Outlook without Exchange, then MobileMe is a $100/year solution.
