After a fairly long hiatus to pursue musical aspirations, I'm returning at least part time to Fireworks (and the whole CS5 Creative Suite). Some of you may remember me as richiebee from the Macromedia days. I know I recognize some names on here. Apparently now I'm richiebee0448654. Just wanted to say hi, and that when I'm back up to speed on Fireworks, hope to be able to contribute something to this community.
When I say at least part time, I do intend to keep my musical side very active. But I've been a part of 11 commercial CD projects in the last four years, and I'm ready for a rest from it. I've given up gigging, and want to spread my time over several interests instead of intensely concentrating on one.
richiebee.ca is long gone, but richiebee.org has started... I'll be putting some Fireworks resources up there very soon.

A bit of an old post this is, but it's the most recent one I could find searching for "Linda Rathgeber". That's when I found you and some other forum oldies here and about the LG name change.
Rich, I remember you rocked Fireworks with your styles, especially the Rust style was very good. Boy, it must've been 8 years or so.
Apart from emailing with 'Summers about once a year or so, I don't really talk to anyone from around here anymore. Today I thought about this forum and decided to check if my account here is still active. I wonder when the last time was I signed in.
I still use Fireworks MX 2004, It does well what I need it for. I've created a whole bunch of commands that simplify and automate things I do often, but I've no use for all the new stuff, so I never bothered upgrading. Besides, I've been using more and more open source as of late. Even Dreamweaver was replaced a few weeks ago, one of the apps that I really couldn't (and didn't want to) let go of.
Anyway, good to see all you guys are still posting. I wonder who else is still around.

You need to select the "Manage My Account" link and not the "Reset Your Password" link. Once you use the "Manage My Account" it will ask you to log in and in there you should see which email addresses are verified.

Many of my System Preferences will no longer work after installing Mountain Lion. Software Update, Startup Disk, iCloud, Time Machine, Notifications, etc. no longer will launch even though they do show their icons in the system preferences window. I keep getting a drop down window saying I must restart system preferences in order to use with a "Cancel" or "OK" choice. After I click on "OK" the window just keeps reappearing with the same choices and the pane I wish to use still remains inoperative. Third party preference panes DO work.
Reinstalling OSX Mountain Lion did not help. Neither did throwing away preferences.plist.Hi Jeff,
Tried to reply with my iPhone but not easy! Anyway, back on the laptop now. Yes the crash was bad but Tek support at Prism Sound was really good. In the end I rebuilt the whole system on a new disk which took a couple of days with all the plugins, softsynths etc.... but there seemed to be no alternative in my case, and this was agreed with Prism sound as being the only alternative left to me. I still don't really know what caused the crash but ML and Orpheus are both working fine now. Let's face it, you'll have to update at sometime..maybe best to pick some time between projects On balance, I suspect that my problems were unique to my system and that your installation will go ok.

It is peculiar, that Chrome, Safari, and Skype can access FB, but not the iPhoto uploader.
Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:

Dropped phone - now says 'no service'
Help!
I dropped my last the other evening and had to dismantle the phone (took boack covers off) to release a jammed on/off button. Now however, I've lost all reception - it's permanently saying 'No service.'
Any idea what it may be? I dropped phone from low-level, can't imagine it's done that much damage?
MontIt's apparently not reading your sim card. Power off the phone, remove and replace the sim card. Turn phone back on and see if you have service.

What happens if you wait for the updating to complete?
If you leave it to complete the task you may then be able to adjust your preferences for watch folder and auto-analyzer; so that it doesn’t happen in future. -
Problem - the drop down box says . . . The installer disc could not be found.
On my MacBook with Lion, I am attempting to create a partition and then install Windows XP Professional with service pk 2. I have successfully downloaded the Windows support from Apple to my extenal flash drive with MS-DOS (FAT32) format. However, when I go to the next step - Create a Partition for Windows - and insert the XP disk and click Install after the icon is shown on my desktop, I get a dropdown that says . . . The installer disc could not be found. Help!
Do you have a bootable Windows installer disc? If you are using Boot Camp 4.0 with your Lion system, you can only install Windows Vista or Win7, but not XP.

When my iphone5 is connected to my mac pc by the usb cable, the phone syncs with my mac pc. However, after it is finished syncing, I do not know how to access the window in itunes that has the option "devices". I obviously, am a newbie and would appreciate any help. Thank you!
When connected your phone should be listed on the top right. Click it without clicking the eject icon.

I would not have known I needed to update Firefox without at least four occasions in which I have tried to upload Firefox 4 (no.4 I believe), at least four times because window was insistant, plus Adobe add-ons or flash player. Later I check and find what I have tried to do doesn't work or become more than what I already have.This happens from time to time and I do comply to update my system. I have 3 Flash Player installers in my download folder. Not one of them will load properly, or install the update I'm told I need. Any suggestions folks? Thanks.

How do I use one drop down list to refresh the list in another drop down?
I am using a drop down list full of years (i.e. 2008, 2009..etc). When I make my selection from this drop down list (say for instance I select 2009) I want it to update the available data in the second drop down list. I have the query statement set up within the JSP page but it needs to be a dynamic SQL statement based off the value I selected in the first drop down.

The variable "year" is the value I need to figure out how to assign. Now this variable is a Java variable (attribute) and Im unsure how to get the value from the previous drop down and assign it to that. Basically I need the JavaScript value from the first drop down assigned to the Java attribute "year".
Anyone able to help me with this???

Mail can not open, blocked by drop down menu
Mail will not open. Drop down menu says: To view this page you need to log in to area "www.outlookmail.com" on www.outlookmail.com:443 Then it asks for my name and password.

MacBook Pro and iPhone 4S Repeatedly drop WiFi
First off I didn't know what category to put this question in because it really is AirPort, MacBook Pro, and iPhone 4S at once.
So I have a different home network setup than most, I have 2 routers on my network. Now before you start pointing fingers, all other devices work perfectly on it. I have two Netgear WNDR3300s, only one is DHCP, UPnP, NAT, etc... And they have separate channels. My family members' iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPod 4, and iPad Mini, all work perfectly on this network at a blazing 20Mbps (Tested using Ookla's SpeedTest Website and iOS App). My iPhone 4S and MacBook Pro continuously drop the wifi signal at random times and I am no more than 5 feet from the nearest router. Here are the details in a less condensed form...

Something to note is that I do have AirPlay on my network passing through a first gen AirPort Express and second gen Apple TV on an Ethernet CAT-5e connection. I most often drop wifi when streaming to the AirPort Express, however it also occurs at other times. The devices do drop it randomly however, I was streaming music and it dropped 3 hours in when I did nothing.
I consider myself very tech savvy, of course that is opinionated. At this point I am clueless because of the randomness of the connection refusal and how all other devices are ok.
Not sure if I mentioned it but if I try to recconect to the netowkr after it drops it either says "Timed out" on Mac or "Unable to connect" on iPhone.
I am so confused now... If you have any ideas please let me know!
P.S. The two devices operate much better on my network when it only has one router, but I must have 2 for the range and versatility.
If any more information is needed please let me know.I upgraded to OSX Mavericks and I am still having the same problem on both devices. It is occuring more and more often to the point where I almost broke something .
Something weird to note is that every time it drops, I will try to reconnect. When I do so, it says failiure still, but the new window on Mavericks has the diagnostics button. As soon as I hit that button the wifi jumps right back, working perfectly. (Of course then I will lose it 5 minutes later).
If anyone has any ideas please let me know!!!
