Dropping frames, generally not playing. Please help, URGENT.

Sorry to anyone who's seen this question under a different category, but I have to do a presentation tomorrow and I'm freaking out that this doesn't work, I wasn't quite sure what program's fault it was.
I have a .mov file that was encoded from Final Cut (h.264) on a mac pro running Tiger and QT version 7.5.5 and is a .mov file
I am trying to play it on a G4 PowerBook running 10.3.9, QT version 7.4 and it wont play the movie, it keeps dropping frames and generally playing very shakily and sometimes crashing, I tried it on a G4 I-Mac (with the same specs) too, and its the same problem. Therefore I can only presume that it must be something to do with the OS, or the QT version or something else entirely maybe.

QuickTime Player is designed to drop frames if the viewing machine is too underpowered for full frame rate playback.
H.264 Video codec demands a fast machine. No doubt your Final Cut export used a very high data rate and the G4 machines just can't keep up.

Try restoring the iPhone to factory settings. If you are having difficult restoring, put the iPhone into Recovery Mode and see if that then works:

If not, or if a restore to factory settings does not fix the problem, then your iPhone may have a hardware problem. You can only get the iPhone serviced by Apple in Canada, so you will have to take the iPhone there or send it to someone you know in Canada who can get the iPhone serviced and send it back to you. The only option for getting service in Pakistan would be to pay some unauthorized repair shop to attempt a repair, after which Apple will no longer provide any service even in Canada.

I have been charged for a ringtone that I did not purchase. I wne t back to my downloaded apps to see if I did it by mistake it is not even there. I was cahregd $3 for a song that I did not even know. Please help me what I can do to reverse this charge and protect myself for something like this happening again?

Clips imported into iMovie will not play: Please Help!

I have been working on a project in iMovie for awhile now and I have a few different clips imported into it. I have not had a problem with it before yesterday. I went to import another clip and for some reason I got error message "-43" that said it could not copy the files into iMovie. Then today when I opened iMovie to try again, all the clips that had been imported already were grayed out and a little yellow warning sign was in the bottom left hand corner of each clip display (yellow triangle with ! in the middle). They would not play.
It is not the clips though- they work fine when I open them in quicktime and iPhoto.
I don't know if this is ay significance, but this morning before the clips stopped working iMovie made new thumbnails- could this be any reason why it isn't working?
Can anyone help with this problem? I don't know what happened!

Dropped Frames During Capture! Please Help!

I have tried capturing numerous tapes and I still get the same error message. "Dropped frames were detected during last capture attempt". I have only recently had this problem and I have read other threads saying that QuickTime could be the problem but I am running on QT v7.3.1 and Final Cut Pro HD 4.5
I have my capture scratch set to a G-Raid 750GB external hardrive and I don't know what else the problem could be. Can anyone help

That is your problem. QT 7.3 and FCP 4.5 are incompatible. The best version of QT for that version of FCP is QT 6.5. Unfortunately you cannot simply revert to the older version, as components and system files are installed all over. What you'll need to do is an Archive and Install of the OS...and DO NOT upgrade to QT 7.3.

I own a Nikon D300s, I have been downloading video from it for quite a while without any issues, but today when I tried to open some of my video clips I received the error code below...
*The movie could not be opened*.
Operation could not be completed. (OSStatus error -50.)
I am curious if anybody else has had this problem and how can I solve it?
I posted it here because all my clips are Quicktime AVI logos. All the video that works show the start of the clip.

I just got a new MBP yesterday and have perian, but i cannot open an .mkv file that could on my old computer. I have the most recent version of perian, this should be working. Hi...my movie project has lost the audio track. I can see it but nothing plays.
The movie record has its audio but the imported iTunes track is silent.

This might sound weird, but here's an idea which worked for me re music that was newly added to itunes and showed up in my ipod but wouldn't play - I simply played the tracks in itunes first, just a second of time or so will do it, not the whole track, then connect the ipod and sync again and this time they played - hope this helps.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

This problem seems to have started around October 28, it appears to affect content purchased only on other devices but played on the Apple TV 1.
There have been other workarounds suggested from time to time, but I have found the simplest solution is to purchase something on the Apple TV 1 directly (There may be free content in some locations and this appears to work just as well).
Once the content has been purchased, it will not only play as normal, but will also allow all other content purchased on other devices after October 28 to play as well.
Some have reported that it's necessary to restart the Apple TV before and/or after purchase, but I found it worked without.

- Unsync/delete all music and resync/redownload
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

I have the classpath set as: C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\mail.jar;C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\activation.jar
When I try to compile the sample code provided with these packages, msgsend.java using Jbuilder 2 I get the following errors:

If I try to use another Java package to compile it I get even more errors (52), I cannot compile it by using the Javac command line compiler, it just says �Bad command or file name�.
Can anyone tell me Why this is happening and how I might be able to fix it please, I need to start learning Java Mail quickly but at the moment I can�t even begin to do this until I can understand how to get this sample code to work.

First of all... don't post with topics like "Please Help - Urgent". The topic is supposed to reflect what the question is about.
Secondly... think for a second. If mail.jar is in C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\javamail-1_2[1]... why are you with your classpath saying that mail.jar is in C:\jdk1.3.1\lib ?
You classpath is supposed to point directly at you jar-files.

Please Help Urgently to refresh the report on the change in data

We want to refresh report at runtime for the Drill Down report if any user changes the Data. We changes the data from the form which is called from the report and we want to this effect on the report on the prompt.
Is there any method to close the report while it is in the queue of Background Engine? Can we refresh the report ? Please help urgently.

Reports goes out to the database and fetches the data (not a snapshot) and returns the information, formats it and displays it. The only way to refresh, is to rerun the report.
If your are running from the server, you need to make sure you are not fetching from cache (you determine this from destype and set the life of the cache in the servername.ora file).
I am unaware of any way to programatically close the report once displayed. The user must take action to close the report (unless you call the operating system to kill the display). When you rerun the report from Oracle Forms, you will get fresh data.
