Dropping Purchases on iTunes WiFi Music Store

When I've purchased a song on the WiFi store I get prompted for my password, it then downloads a couple hundred KBs and comes up with a dialog saying "All iTunes downloads have been completed on your computer".
This is really frustrating as I use the WiFi store so I can listen to songs instantly instead of waiting until the weekend to use my Mac at home. Am stuck using a PC for college
Anyone know what the problem is?

That was seriously the weirdest f*ing thing I have ever seen. I literally looked one more time on iTunes WIFI store and there they were. But, I swear to god they were not there 10 minutes ago when I posted this, and I have never seen them before until now.
Anyway, thanks!

  • ITunes WiFi Music Store not working

I got my iPod touch about a week ago, and I have been very pleased with it - apart from the iTunes WiFi Music Store. At the moment, I am travelling across the USA, where I picked up my iPod. During the time I have been travelling (about 2 weeks), I have managed to use all the features on the iPod successfully, except the iTunes music store. I have been connected to several different wireless networks, from which I could access all features (maps, YouTube, stocks etc.), with the exception of the iTunes WiFi music store. This isn't such a problem, as I don't use iTunes, but as I have paid for this feature, I would like to use it.
Does anybody have any solutions to this, with the exception of restoring the iPod?

I started using my iPod on my uncle's computer, as I am abroad at the moment, but I am going to sync it with my computer when I get home. I'm not really interested in purchasing songs from iTunes, I just wanted to have a look at the app - but I have to have a registered iTunes account on my computer for this to work? If it takes that much efforrt, I don't think it's worth it.
    Thanks for your help, everyone.

  • ITunes WiFi music store - Unable to Download Song

    Hi, All -
When I have tried to use the iTunes wifi music store off my home network connection it will seem to download, but it won't finish. I get a window saying "Unable to Download Song. This item will be available for download when you log in to the iTunes Store on your computer." Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of the whole wifi store. Why can't I download to my iPod Touch for instant gratification and enjoyment? Am I doing something incorrectly? Do I need to tweak the configuration.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I had this a few hours ago downloading a whole album of 14 tracks. Eventually by "tapping to retry" all of them finished downloading. Some I had to tap at least half a dozen times to finish downloading. I have previously downloaded at least a couple of dozen tracks with no problem so I think this is a problem at the store (at least the UK store) at the moment.

  • WiFi Music Store Release Data?

I thought in the keynote address it was announced that "next week when you sync you iPhone the iTunes WiFi button will appear". It has been 2 weeks since then, and I was just wondering if anyone had any information on when this is actually going to occur.
Thanks for any information you have!

Your recollection is incorrect. The actual statement was nearing the end of the iPod touch presentation, where Jobs revealed that the iTunes WiFi Music Store was also being brought to the iPhone. The statement was, "...available a little later this month.", and also the follow-up, "...the next time you sync your iPhone...". This was referring to iTunes triggering a software update for the iPhone during sync (after the actual release) that would install and activate the feature.

  • Wifi music store of EDGE?

I am not an iPhone owner, but I am highly interested in it. Does anyone know if the iPhone allows you to buy songs from the iTunes wifi music store over an edge network?

Its a bandwidth concern. EDGE is remarkably slower than WiFi, so downloading a single song could take upwards of 10 minutes.
That would be over an hour and a half for an average album. Just not feasible.

  • WiFi Music Store Purchases Fail To Download

My very first attempt to purchase music on my iPhone through the iPhone iTunes WiFi Music App caused, and continues to cause, me much frustration and disappointment.
Background: I purchase music from iTunes on my MacBook Pro just fine, and my iPhone is synced with iTunes from my MacBook Pro and so my iPhone is well aware of my iTunes account info, etc.
After some playing around and experimenting, it seems that I can purchase and download (on my iPhone, using the WiFi iTunes app) "regular" songs just fine, but "iTunes Plus" songs cause a problem. The music I first attempted to purchase was "iTunes Plus", and all attempts to purchase any iTunes Plus music fails in the same manner.
I touch the button to buy, I enter my account password when prompted, the red bubble bounces down onto the Downloads button, and after about 1 full second the red bubble disappears. I touch the Downloads button and there is nothing there. No purchase occurred, and I never get billed. It's as if iTunes Plus songs cannot be purchased on the iPhone using the WiFi iTunes app.
Can anyone please tell me if there is some problem or known limitation? Am I doing something wrong?

Ummm... Thanks, I think, but this didn't address my problem. I'm not a novice user, and I already know everything this article says.
What I do not know, and am having trouble with, is why I cannot purchase and download iTunes Plus content, when "regular" content purchases download without issue. Given that regular content purchases download without issue, it isn't my iPhone, my iTunes account, my WiFi connection -- what is the problem with purchasing and downloading iTunes Plus content reliably?

  • Youtube and Wifi Music Store Bug?

Ever since I upgraded Itunes to the new 7.4.2 version that was just released and synced my 16gb touch I cannot access youtube or the wifi music store. Whenever I try to access either one I get a message that says "Cannot Connect To Youtube/Itunes Store". Safari works fine. I tried resetting the ipod but that didnt work. I haven't tried doing a full restore yet but I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I looked online and a lot of iphone users have been having the same problem. The weirdest thing is that all of my bookmarked videos show up and I can watch the no problem. But when I try and search for new videos I get that error message. Help!!

    Hntjohnson,
iTunes 7.4 or later will be required for the ringtones feature when it becomes available. The WiFi Store will be included in an update for the iPhone.
The following links will be updated as those features become available.
    For ringtones:
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/ringtones/
    For the WiFi Store:
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/wifistore/
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • 7.4.2 = WiFi Music Store?

Does the 7.4.2 Update include the WiFi Music Store for the iPhone? If not, do we know a time frame for getting the update?

Can only hope that there is a little more then simply wifi itunes in the next update.
    AndyO wrote:
In itself, no it does not provide the additional service, though of course in respect of the iPhone and it's access to the iTunes store, iTunes itself is only the enabling technology (meaning the bit that allows you to download the iPhone update when it is issued).
As yet no word on when Apple will release the updated needed, so we continue to wait!

  • Where is the wifi music store icon supposed to be?

Where is the wifi music store icon supposed to be?
On the far left or far right like on apple.com?

  • Cannot purchase from iTunes wifi store

I have downloaded & installed the 1.1.1 update and attempted to purchase and download some music. However, when I clicked on "Buy Now", I was informed that no account information could be found, and I should connect to iTunes to establish an account. The odd thing is... I DO have an account, and connecting to iTunes confirmed that fact. I accessed my account while connected, then tried to purchase music again using my iPhone -- still no joy.
Does anyone know how I can get this feature to work correctly?
    Rick A.

On your computer, go to the iTunes Music Store, click on your account email address in the upper right hand part of the screen, and click Sign Out.
Quit iTunes, reopen iTunes, go into the Store again, and log in with your account info.
    Then sync your iPhone.
According to Apple's documentation, it transfers the account info to your iPhone from the last time you logged into the Music Store. Hopefully, doing the above will "remind" your computer about your account info so that it will be synced to your iPhone.
Please post if this works or not.

  • Song purchased from itunes wifi does not transfer back to pc in manual mode

Hi one and all....heres a little poser. brought a song from itunes (wifi) but it does not transfer to itunes on the pc when I hook up my ipod touch. I have to manually fill my pod as I have to much groovy music. When I check the music on the pod its there but it does not show when I link it up to itunes...so I cannot even drag it into my music folder..I expect it would work if I was in full sycn mode but too much music . Any ideas??
    cheers
    mark

I purchased songs on two different iTouches at different times. Both iTouches had the same device name. Now I have two Purchased on folders with the same name, each with their respective songs purchased on the seperate iTouches. It looks a little weird.

  • ITunes 6 Music Store account not working with iTunes 7 Music Store - help!

I have an account with both the apple site (for here) and for the itunes music store (and i have a current credit card on my account). when I upgraded to itunes 7, it says i do not have an account now....even tho it says to use your apple login (which i've always used to download things from itunes music store), it comes back and says i have no account....
why is this happening? is this a bug? if you have to recreate the account, shouldn't they have said something oremailed something to tell me that/????

login to apple's myinfo page and see what your actual Apple ID is. You have to enter whatever your Apple ID is into iTunes when you try to sign in.
    http://myinfo.apple.com
If you can't login to myinfo, then you've got an account ID or password issue. (in which case use iforgot http://iforgot.apple.com )
