Hi,
The ABANDON targetop=2 means that the client application wants to abandon/abort an operation in progress (with opid=2).
In that case, the client abandons the search operation below
[29/Sep/2010:01:01:05 -0700] conn=58 op=2 msgId=3 - SRCH base="ou=people,dc=servicenow,dc=ucla,dc=edu" scope=2 filter="(&(uclaLogonID<=_)(objectClass=*))" ...
Then the client application unbinds and closes the connection.
[29/Sep/2010:01:01:35 -0700] conn=58 op=4 msgId=5 - UNBIND
So, the abandon is not the cause of the connection closure, but the client application is "directory-friendly" as it is a good policy to abandon operations in progress before closing a connection.
Hope this helps

Help with Web Server error log entries.
I'm having trouble turning off logging of messages from the iAS plugin to
the Web Server error log. It seems to be logging "Info" class messages to
the logs.
For example:
[24/Oct/2001:11:38:57] info ( 514): gxrequest.cpp:gxrequest() reports: End
req /NASApp/wapp/index.jsp
[24/Oct/2001:11:39:02] info ( 514): gxrequest.cpp:gxrequest() reports: End
req /NASApp/wapp/PageController
[24/Oct/2001:11:39:02] info ( 514): gxrequest.cpp:gxrequest() reports: End
req /NASApp/wapp/PageController
[24/Oct/2001:15:40:21] info ( 792): gxrequest.cpp:gxrequest() reports: End
req /NASApp/fortune/fortune
Tech support just says "uh try this this this..." and hasn't been able to
stop the logging. They won't even confirm it's a problem (logging info
messages to error logs...).
Has anyone else seen this or been able to stop it?
Thanks,These entries normally do not get shown. Make sure you turn off
debugmode.
run kregedit and make sure iPlanet\Application Server\6.0\CCS0\HTTPAPI

Error Log entry Unable to write file with XML Saver
Hi all,
I have just encountered the following problem. I am saving a XML file using the XML Saver. Another BLT reads the file, changes something, and saves it again with the same name.
The file is saved, but the NetWeaver SAP Log gives the error
"Unable to write file /usr/sap/<SID>/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/apps/sap.com/xappsxmiiear/servlet_jsp/XMII/root/CM/<folder>/file.xml"
Is it a problem with the new storage mechanism in MII 12? Even if I delete the file first and then save it again with the same name, the error is displayed (though the file is saved).
MichaelHi Mike,
no, the Debug only says "Begin Action XML Saver" and "End Action XML Saver".
The action however writes the file, the contents has changed after the BLT has run.
Well, I have just tried the Text Saver with the same file (name and contents). It also gives the error. I now wanted to delete the folder. The folder disappered from the workbench view, and the Netweaver log says "Unable to process service message".
I then clicked "publish" on the parent folder and tried to create the folder again, but although the folder was not displayed, the workbench said "the folder already exists". When I start my BLT, it could write the file into the folder which then reappeared in the workbench.
Hm, maybe our installation has some problems? Feels like missing authorizations...

Dear all,
I need your inputs to solve the below mentioned issue,
There is a communication developed between MS sharepoint and SAP.
By using Mapper Classes for each and every operations the conversion of data format from Sharepoint to SAP and viceversa happens.
We can see the message or error logs created during the conversion process using the T-code /iwfnd/view_log.
But i want my custumized messages has to come in that log for that i used the following code in the mapper class Post method but still my logs are not coming in the T-code /iwfnd/view_log.

Many thanks in Advance,
HarishHi Girimurugan,
I am currently working with SAP Gateway related stuffs and I need a clarification regarding the application log.
Hope you are very busy and please clarify the doubts if you can spare few minutes towards this query.
Appreciate your valuable advise towards this.
Query:
Can we log any of the different types of logs (I Info / W Warning / A Abort or Cancel / E Error ) into Application Log(/IWFND/APPS_LOG) of the Gateway system in a Hub deployment model ?
How the logging can be achieved?
What are the scenarios, wherein the Application logs are preferred?
Also I have already raised a query in the SCN with this link: http://scn.sap.com/message/15477543. But could not get much details about it.
Can you please clarify the same?
Thanks & Regards,

Flash Builder crash with error log
I started a trial FB 4.6 a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday FB started crashing arbitrarily while simply using the editor. Error log entries (from workspace/.metadata/.log) like the snippet below immediately precede the crash. FB is open from anywhere between 10 seconds to 20 minutes before crashing.
Crashing: the whole Flash Builder UI locks up and needs to be force-quit.
Problems seemed to start after I did these new things; installed Android USB driver for my device, debugged on the device, and also tried the Profile feature. Doing those things seemed to work fine, and I otherwise don't know what they'd have to do with the message(s like the one) below. At crash time, the file noted is not there, instead there is single file:
"...\.metadata\.plugins\com.adobe.flexbuilder.codemodel\SwcCache\swcPaths.cache".
However as I browse the .plugins folder looking for files related to this problem, I've seen folders/files suddenly appear and disappear, not related to any build process.
I've tried rebooting. I'm going to try changing workspaces. Here's a log snip:

Not getting entry in error logs for SP2
Hi All,
I am using SP2 on Solaris 5.9. I got the below entry in the access logs.

As it is visible that request resulted 400 response code, but I don't see any entry in the error logs.
Do I need to enable something for this in magnus.conf ?
At present for errors I have the following settings in the magnus.conf as
ErrorLog /data/servers/dir/logs/errors.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks and regards
-A400 bad requests are not logged in error logs. That usually means the request sent is malformed.
According to RFC http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html
"10.4.1 400 Bad Request
The request could not be understood by the server due to malformed syntax. The client SHOULD NOT repeat the request without modifications. "
Try attaching ssltap in between web server and browser and see what request was sent to the server.
$/usr/sfw/bin/ssltap -h
SSLTAP (C) 1997, 1998 Netscape Communications Corporation.
Usage: ssltap [-vhfsxl] [-p port] hostname:port
-v [prints version string]
-h [outputs hex instead of ASCII]
-f [turn on Fancy HTML coloring]
-s [turn on SSL decoding]
-x [turn on extra SSL hex dumps]
-p port [specify rendezvous port (default 1924)]
-l [loop - continue to wait for more connections]
$ssltap -l -p 1924 wshostname:wsport
send browser's request to 1924.

Error log 'At least one entry could not be found in object buffer' in SLG1
Hi Experts,
We are getting error log 'At least one entry could not be found in object buffer' in SLG1 transaction.
Unable to trace the source of error. Could you please help us identifying the same.
Regards,
Santosh KachamHello,
the reason could be the use of order_save badi, mostly there is a wrong + faulty implementation which causes this error. Please check first if any own coding part is involved, when creating documents / tickets.

Last edited by graysky (2011-11-12 19:09:56)It looks like your video card, or lack of a module installed for it, is causing the panics.
My suggestions:
Please post a video card manufacturer, and model...of your video card, and some system details, and more information.
Please paste any files or code, etc, by forum pasting guidelines please.
First, I would like to see a list of all modules you are blacklisting (in /etc/modprobe.d/) and if any are in /etc/rc.conf
Secondly, have you done a 'pacman -Syyu' in console to update your system?
Thirdly, can you paste to us, (and using forum pasting guidelines) the output of 'lspci -v'
Also, are you using 32-bit or 64-bit kernel? (uname -m) and your Arch install version is? (uname -r)
Also, please elaborate more on your Arch Install.
a) Gnome, KDE, etc ?
b) X11 ?
c) and have you installed "xf86-video-intel"
---end
*** all the below are not fully necessary, unless you believe a card or plug is badly seated/inserted ****
a) shutdown and turn off power to computer, and then unplug it,
b) then open your case,
c) THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT: make sure you are not making static like rubbing on a carpet.
d) touch the metal case inside the computer with both hands for a few secs (clears a static charge)
before you touch anything else inside your computer.
e) and find your video card, make sure it is seated and inserted fully.
f) sometimes you have to remove the card, and put it back in.
g) Close the computer case, and make sure all connections are secure and tight.

IPlanet 4.1 Error log has multiple "Exiting JVM" entries
Anybody ever run into this problem?
I just did a clean install of iPlanet Enterprise Server (SP8) on my HP-UX
box (PA_RISC2.0). Java servlets run fine in Tomcat on this box, but whenever
I try to even turn on the servlet engine in iPlanet, the webserver hangs. In
the error log I get the message below repeated as long as I let my browser
continue to try and retrieve the info at a location on the server (static
doc or servlet):
info ( 7256): Exiting JVMThis is an application server forum. Try asking your question in an
Enterprise Server newsgroup. (iplanet.server is one suggestion)

We are running Server.app 2.2.1 on OS X 10.8.4. The "Websites" service is enabled. When viewing the WebServer > error_log in Console, we see thousands and thousands of these entries:
clock_get_time() failed: (ipc/rcv) invalid name
There is no date/time prefix for each entry, i.e. that's the whole line. There are so many of these entries, in fact, that recently the log had grown to well over 6 GB in size which I suspect caused some recent kernel panics related to httpd, because when I deleted this gigantic log the panics stopped.
The messages are still happening, but not perpetually, and the log is growing once again. What could be causing them? The only log entries prior to them starting are harmless "file does not exist" entries.
A few facts about our "Websites" service setup:
1) It's operating correctly. No obvious problems.
2) We are storing our "service data" on a volume other than the startup volume as allowed by the Server.app GUI.
3) We have the "Enable PHP web applications" checkbox checked.
4) For the server website, we have "Enable Server Side includes", "Allow overrides using .htaccess files", and "Allow CGI execution" enabled.
5) In order to enable user sites to load, i.e. server.name.com/~username, we have manually uncommented one line in /Library/Server/Web/Config/apache2, making sure that file permissions remained as they were:
Include /private/etc/apache2/extra/httpd-userdir.conf
Thank you for whatever insights or suggestions the community can offer.UPDATE: In roughly 12 hours the log file has grown from about 11 MB to over 1 GB. The cause of the bloat is the same repeating message. Perhaps not so coincidentally, another kernel panic (and automatic restart) occured today. The panic report blames httpd. See below.
Thanks to any and all who can help shed some light on this.

Oracle errors in Weblogic Error logs appear in non english
We have a problem with weblogic error logging. Specifically, in a managed server's log file, Oracle errors such as ORA-XXXX show in Greek, not English. We are assuming
that this is because the timezone is Europe/Athens. However, the weblogic application server runs with user.language=en, user.country=US. What's more, there are 4 application servers and 2 of them have this problem. The oracle database is accessed via weblogic datasources.
Oracle database server Setup: Oracle Server 11gR2 running on Oracle Linux 64 bit, timezone set to Europe/Athens
Weblogic Server: Weblogic 10.3.5 running on Oracle Linux 64 bit, timezone set to Europe/Athens
The managed server, according to jrockit, the jvm runs with the following language related system properties:
user.language=en, user.country=US, user.timezone=Europe/Athens
The question is: How do we tell oracle / weblogic to log english text for the ORA errors?
Thanks,
ChrisI digged in the weblogic installation directory and it seems like the domain configuration wizard messed up the jdbc configs for the data sources.
The config xml files for the data sources in the /domain root/config/jdbc directory had oracle driver but the test query was for pointbase. I double checked from the database.xml file in the init-info directory and corrected the entry in the datasource config xmls and voila!.. the errors were gone.
I am not sure if this was the right approach and whether i have solved the issue or simply patched it.. so I am keeping the question open. If any one has any inputs I will be grateful.
If the mods/admins feel that the thread should be marked as solved I will surely do so.
Thanks. -
Write the Error log from background Job to the Spool request
Hi ,
I have a situation where in i need to capture the error log of a Z program which runs as a background job and write that log into the spool request. My Z program calls runs RSEINB00 program using the SUBMIT statement. When this Job fails the error log can be seen in SM37. But i need this error log to be sent in to a spool.
I can read the error log using the BP_JOBLOG_READ FM and can also create a spool using the RSPO_SPOOL_OPEN FM.
The problem is, when the Submit statement executes, due to internal valdation in the RSEINB00 program the program terminates. Due to this it is not able to perform the SY-SUBRC Check and thus doesn't read the log.
Can anybody suggest me how to overcome this problem. I am attaching the code for your refernece.
SUBMIT RSEINB00
USING SELECTION-SET 'TEST2'
TO SAP-SPOOL
LIST NAME 'LOCL'
IMMEDIATELY space
KEEP IN SPOOL 'X'
AND RETURN.
<b>If sy-subrc <> 0.</b>
CALL FUNCTION 'BP_JOBLOG_READ'
EXPORTING
CLIENT = SY-MANDT
JOBCOUNT = i_tbtco-jobcount
JOBLOG = i_tbtco-joblog
JOBNAME = i_tbtco-jobname
TABLES
JOBLOGTBL = l_joblog
IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
else.
message i002 with l_joblog-msgv1.
ENDIF.
<b>
ENDIF.</b>
Rgds,
Kewal
P.S. : any other approach to solve this problem will be appreciated too and the points will be rewarded suitably.If I select a job in SM37 and I click on "spool" I get a list with separate spool entries for each of the steps, e. g.
Programmname/Kommand Programmtyp Spoolliste
Z_MM_STAT_UPDATE_WERK ABAP 1707445
ZSLEEP Ext. Kommando
Z_MM_STAT_UPDATE_WERK ABAP 1707459
ZSLEEP Ext. Kommando
Z_MM_STAT_UPDATE_MARA ABAP 1721423
ZSLEEP Ext. Kommando
Z_MM_STAT_UPDATE_WERK ABAP 1721437
Z_MM_STAT_UPDATE_MARA ABAP 1721446
Z_MM_STAT_UPDATE_WERK ABAP 1721447
Z_MM_STAT_UPDATE_VKORG ABAP 1721471
ZSLEEP Ext. Kommando
Z_MM_STAT_UPDATE_VKORG ABAP 1721521
ZSLEEP Ext. Kommando
Z_MM_STAT_UPDATE_VKORG ABAP 1721816
It's in German but I'm sure you get the idea. For each Z_MM_STAT_UPDATE and variant I have a separate spool list that I can display.

Hello folks...
I wish I knew what I was looking at here, hopefully someone can make sense of this for me?
Yesterday I started up Flex Builder 3 and had an error. All I could see was java this java that...so I reinstalled java, hoping that might do something.
now I get a little different error than I saw, but I still see a lot of java references.
Thanks for you help!
