DSfW and Citrix VDI-in-a-Box/Kaviza/Vertex DTAgent

Greetings,
I am attempting to connect an evaluation VDI-in-a-Box to a DSfW environment.
I have successfully joined the appliance to a DSfW domain after applying all patches to the DSfW server.
All appears well starting out with the setup. However, I have observed the following problem.
Normal Scenario
In a Microsoft AD Domain, the virtual desktop exhibits no problems after the Citrix Desktop Agent (dtagent) is installed.
DSfW Scenario
Joining the virtual desktop to the domain exhibits no problems until after the Citrix Desktop Agent is installed. After installation of the dtagent, all user profiles stop functioning after reboot. As a result, many services fail during boot, and logins no longer function with various errors including "User Profile Service Failed the Logon," "Access Denied," and "RPC Service is Unavailable." Safe Mode also fails with the system rebooting before a logon screen appears.
I am looking for insight into this problem and am wondering if anyone on the list can point me in the right direction.

I have tried this already with good and bad result.
My problem was the following, with a "old" tree without the country top object there was no way to to provisioning vdi-in-abox desktops, you have to be able to do a ldap search in the format cn=domain,cn=ad and that does not work if you install dsfw in a existing tree.
But if you are aware of that and create a new dsfw tree with the country top object, it should work fine or at least did that for me after getting some help from Novell's dsfw team.
I did have issues using the Swedish spelled standard administrator after changing to English spelled administrator (and no non English characters in the password), but this was more a Kaviza thing I think.
So I can say that it should work with dsfw and I have not see the problem you are facing, so I'm not to much help to you there.
But at least you know that it is possible.
I had no issues installing the desktop agent in Windows 7 (x86 and x64) or Windows XP.

Citrix VDI-in-a-Box and DSFW

I'm trying to authenticate vab to a fresh installation of DSFW in an existing tree on OES11 SP1 (with latest patches), but vab failed to find the domain. I took a LDAP trace and it failed when it search for :
Filter: (&(objectClass=domain)(distinguishedName=dc=exampl e, dc=com))
I tried the ldap request manually and it finds no result. If I remove the space between "dc=example," and "dc=com", it works as expected. I verified the schema and distinguishedName is declared as SYN_DIST_NAME, which seems correct and should not care about spaces between commas. I tried with another attribute declared as SYN_DIST_NAME on eDirectory and it works as expected with or without spaces.
Is this a known bug of DSFW? What could I do to circumvent the problem?

Thanks for reaching to us. Please help us understand the following,
1. Whether if this search is from XenDesktop and if so, its release version OR any other specific product ?
2. Operation that you are attempting here which is leading to this failure.
3. Whether if this search is done by the product internally without any manual input or if it is the user input that is taken by the product that comes as filter?
4. Copy us the exact LDAPSEARCH command that you are using to reproduce the behavior and the ndstrace output you are mentioning.
We tried the following search and found it working where there is space in filter DN as you mentioned.

I got same problem also.
We using VDI-in-a-Box 5.2 and DSfW of OES11 SP1.
When I configure VDI-in-a-Box 5.2 initial set up on web console.
I got error message "Could not connect to the user database at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with user administrator in domain xxxxx.com."

Please confirm if you are entering the IP address of your Domain Controller/DNS Server, the domain name, and the corresponding administrative login credentials in the user database option. The domain administrator must be the Database administrator too.
If you are not able to figure out the reason for failure, request you to raise an SR with NTS. Our support will be able to resolve it.

I've got my feelers out there, and could set up AmazonWorkspaces/EC2 instances (~$500/mo.), have talked to about 3 other vendors...
So once again it's a tall order. Has anyone got a provider they're proud of that can get a 5 user network (using Netscaler/VDI-In-A-Box) ramped up by late next week?

DSfW and eDirectory Network Address attribute

Hi,
In a DSfW environment, with Windows only clients, we lose the update of the attribute "network address". We need it to provide SSO with the proxy authorization.
Does anyone know if is possible to have the same behaviour than with the Novell Client? Any idea to have the windows client logon to DSfW updating the network attribute on eDirectory?

I am pretty sure, that the SSO agent/application of the Fortinet is
able to use AD as a SSO source to the proxy. That can't be done in the
same way as against Edir, but it does work well.
I have a Sonicwall SSO based on the AD of DSfW and it works great.
Based on the complexity of my setup, where the connection to the
internet runs on a physical and logical network, which is completely
different and separated from the local network connections to the DSfW
and all other servers I am quite sure, that it would work in a less
complex setup just out of the box without big configuratrion hassles.

Have you recently deleted photos using the finder or run clean up software? Is so restore your backup
If not the backup your iPhoto Library and launch iPhoto while depressing the option and command keys. Rebuild your database

?Is there any Apple TV HDMI port voltage?

I tried what you said again but without success. I even updated the driver so that that audio driver is the same as the graphics driver i.e.. NVIDIA but this has not helped either:

I had same problem where Firefox 3.6.8 would not start or open. Spent many hours trying different things to fix it. Uninstall of previous version and reinstall did not make any difference. Finally, after uninstalling Firefox, I searched for Firefox folders and files on my computer, deleted and removed all Firefox folders and files - deleted anything and everything related to Firefox so that it will be as if I was going to download Firefox for the first time ever. Then, using another browser, I downloaded Firefox 3.6.8 and installed it. It could be that some Add-Ons or something else from the older version of Firefox or profile was interfering with the new one. It was easier to delete remove everything and install all over again clean than to figure out which part was causing the problem.
Keep in mind, when you delete all Firefox folders and files from your computer, you are deleting all your bookmarks and all your Add-ons. If you want to keep those bookmarks, you might want to save the URLs someplace safe to bookmark them again before deleting them. You need to re-install the Add-ons also. Upon installation, it asks if you want to import bookmarks and settings from another browser or settings you might have. I imported them from my other browser. Now, Firefox works. I also installed up-to-date Add-ons.
I hope this helps. Always keep more than one browser functioning on your computer, just in case one fails.

I then did the reset on the phone (erase all data... from settings) and it went through and activated and everything was good... I used the phone for about a month with no problems at all, even had my apple ID in the icloud and everything... well ios 7.0.6 came out and I used my computer to restore the phone, because I feel that the cord and computer gives it a better restore, it did great no problems, and when it went to the part where I went to activate the phone, I get a enter your apple id and password to complete activation... Wait... why is this up i thought, I thought I did everything like I suppose to to succesfully switch it to me, the new owner... but now its asking for some C******@yahoo.com.... I only have @gmail.com emails and none start with a C... The guy sold me the phone because he was switching to Verizon, and I tried to call him, and now the number is disconnected... The two other posts are correct... so I'll just clarify. What's happening right now is your system is trying to boot into Windows in order to finish the installation. What you want to do is make it boot into OS X. As mende1 indicated, with your system off, hold down the Option key and continue to hold it while you turn the system on. You will eventually be presented with an option to select which partition you would like to boot from. Choose OS X. After you get into OS X, again, as mende1 indicated, change the Startup Disk to OS X. What this will do is cause your system to automatically boot into OS X when you restart it instead of you having to use the Option key when booting each time.
Relaunching BootCamp Assistant will allow you to remove your Windows installation and partition.
