DSO error while creating update rules

Hi All,
i am new to BI 7.0 , while creating update rules for datastore object , i have given the infosource name, and tried to activate it, then i got the error,
ERROR: infoobject 0recordmode is missing from the infosourse
Can any one help, points are assured for the suggestions

Hi,
Add 0recordmode info object to your info source and again try to create DTP, 0recordmode is requried in DSO to keep data with history.(like before image,after image,etc), by adding this you dont have any problem, at the time of creating info source itself system will prompt you that this info object is missing do you want to add here say yes.

Hi Uds,
are you running SOA Suite on a Linux server and not on your PC and just running JDeveloper on your PC?
If so try creating the repository file specifying a directory on the Linux server.
For example to:
/tmp/sample_repository
So Choose 'File' from drop down menu
Enter /tmp/sample_repository
Click on create button
This should create the file called sample_repository in /tmp on the Linux server.
Can you tell us what your environment is?

Error while activating update rule in Inventory

I was working with migration of datasource 2LIS_03_BF from 3.x to 7.0 in MM module.
Recieved an error while activating update rule 0RT_C17 2LIS_03_BF in Inventory module.
When I checked the routine ,it shows the following error.
Errror:E:The Dictionary structure or table "/BI0/PMAT_SALES" is either not active or does not exist.
I am not usre how to resolve this.
Kindly reply asap.

1. Activate the master data infoobject for 0MAT_SALES at info object level of RSA1
2. Replicate and Activate the data source once again by using the program > SE38 : RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL
3. Then try to migrate you datasource and activate you update rules.

Error while transporting update rule.

I am trying to transport one update rule to production..
But it is ending with error code 8 n it is giving me following error :
      Errors when activating update rule XXX
      IC=0PP_DS03 IS=0CO_OM_OPA_6 error when checking update rules

Hi Swati,
Before transporting the update rule, in the present scenario, you have to transport the infosource which contains the corresponding "0recordmode".
Whenever you transport anything into the quality or production, the list should be as followed in the given manner :
Seq No     Objects in Request
1     Package(DEVC), InfoArea(AREA), Application Component(APCO)
2     Function Modules
3     Keyfigure Catalog(IOBC), Keyfigures(IOBJ), Units(IOBJ)
4     Characteristic Catalog(IOBC), Characteristic Infoobjects(IOBJ)
5     Infosources (ISCS, ISTD, ISMP, ISTS, ISFS, ROUT) and
                Generic Data Sources(DataSrce Active Version(OSOA), ISMP, ISTS,DataSourceReplica (ISFS)
                and Tables (TABL)
6     Infoproviders(ODS(ODSO), Cube(CUBE), Infoset(ISET))
7     Update Rules(UPDR, ROUT)
8     Infopackages(ISIP)
9     Queries(ELEM)
10     Webtemplates(TMPL, BLTM, BPTM)
Just transport all your things in the above sequence, and it will be done successfully.
Also, remember there should not be any data in the corresponding infoprovider while you transfer the update rule, else it will fail.

ASSERTION FAILED error while migrating update rules

Hi all,
We are migrating the 3.x datasource for sd - lo cockpit.
Migration steps are as follows...
1. Make a copy of the infosouce. Activate it.
2. Migrate transfer rules. Activate it.
3. Migrate datasource.
4. Migrate Update rules for the respective info providers.
      But while migrating update rules ASSERTION_FAILED runtime error occurs.
       the assert condition was violated.
       CL_RSTRAN_TEMPLATE========CP or CL_RSTRAN_TEMPLATE======CM003
Please help i tried all the means to rectify but none succeds.
It is occuring for each datasource .

Assertion statement is like a conditional break point in ABAP. When you are trying to migrate the update rules,it is failing with Assertion statement it means there is some error with your update rules. Either the mapping is wrong or the the target to which it is mapped is in inactive state. Please check these and retry your migration.

'L_CHAVL_IN' Error while Activating Update Rules.

Hi All,
 when i am tring to activate my update rules, it is giving error, field "L_CHAVL_IN' in unknown. I dont have that field in my objects.
 i found that field in 'Progarm' for the update rules. that field is used in the exit of one of the feild in the update rules.
 Please give me a solution how to solve this.

Error while transfering update rules

Hi all,
I am trying to transfer business content for 0SRCT_DS1(Contract Management) from D to Q in BW3.5.
Everything went through except for the update rules.
I checked and rechecked if all the infoobjects are active.
But still am getting the following error:

Just check whether update rules has any routines or fomula, or constant.
If so collect that in a request and transport it.

While creating Update rules -"Error Info source does not exist"

While creating an update rule I am getting an error that Info source doesnot exist though the inf source is active.
here is error:
No communication structure exists in version abc... A
Message no. RSAU251
Diagnosis
In order to be able to maintain the update rules an active communication structure must be available.
Procedure
This error message can have two causes.
No active communication structure exists.
Activate the communication structure in the Data Warehousing Workbench.
No communication structure exists for the InfoSource.
Create a communication structure in the Data Warehousing Workbench for the InfoSource.

Create an info source first and assign it to your datasource and map the fileds in transfer rules and activate it.
Then try to create the update rules between your target and info source.

Error while Activating update rule in BW

Hi,
I am getting an ABAP dump while activating an update rule. The rule is from DSO to cube.
"MESSAGE_TYPE_X" " "
"%_T020N1" or "%_T020N1"
"INSTANTIATE"
I have added some new fields in a DSO. The rule is from DSO to cube. While activating it, I am getting this ABAP dump. There are few other rules from this DSO to other DSO which got activated but this one is causing dump.
Any ideas/suggestions on this would be really helpful.

Hi
Check if your Cube , DSO and UR's are active. If not reactivate them. Ideally you could recreate the UR's and check the status by running the extraction.
I would also recommend to use elimination method to check if any particular field is creating an issue. While recreating the UR's , create them for a few fields - active - check extraction - this will also let you know if the issue is within any oif the rules.

   I am getting Error while Transporting the Update rules,i already transported the INFOCUBE,INFOPACKAGE EVERYTHING.
    Start of the after-import method for object type R3TR ROUT (Delete Mode)
Errors occurred during post-handling RS_AFTER_IMPORT for ROUT L
The errors affect the following components:
    BW-WHM (Warehouse Management)
Is the error,I didn't change any thing in the Cube or changes to Update rules.

Are you still facuing the issue ?
No need to worry about the routines, once you save the update rules if there is any routines in it it will be saved in the same request. If you want to check the routines you can check in the transport connections. Transfer the update rule to the right hand side of the screen and you can see all the routines that belong to the UR.
If you know the technical names of the routines you can check in the TADIR table.
Have you transported the info-sources for this update rules ? why not you again capture the info-source and the update rule in a single request and transport again.

Getting error while activatinb update rule 2LIS_02_SCL

Hello BW gurus,
I have activated and replicated datasources for PP and activated the 0PUR_C01 infocube now I am activating the update rule 2LIS_02_SCL but while activating the update rule iam getting error message
"Object UPDR CD2NYEJKIIFCCFA9FW1OQRONE could not be found"
which is nothing but the technical name of 2LIS_02_SCL. in GROUPING TAB I have selected " only necessary objects" option.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated can you please suggest me how I can troubleshoot this.

Don't worry about the error message.
RSA1-> Business content-> here select the update rules from 2LIS_02_SCL to cube 0PUR_C01 and with only necessary objects option-> Install update rules with applicable routines. Then refresh RSA1 and check for update rules. If still you don't get update rules, please let me know

ABAP Runtime error while activating Update rules.

Hi Gurus,
Actually we are in NW 2004's SP9.
While activating the update rules of cube "0PY_PPC01" it is going to ABAP runtime error. It is giving the key words like "MESSAGE_TYPE_X"
"%_T005K2" or "INSTANTIATE". And i apply NOTEs also i am unable to fix it.
Can any one give correct NOTE number that can fix it or any suggestions.

Error while copying Update rules from One Cube to other

I am getting the following error message while I was trying to copy an existing update rule from an existing InfoCube to a New InfoCube. Has anyone experienced this before? Please let me know how to resolve this.
Formula 3ZKQ....... (Object version M) could not be read.
The new and original cubes are custom cubes.

Check the update rules for the original cube. Are they active? It appears that they contain a formula...check this too.

Error while creating settlement rule

We are trying to create a Settlement Rule for a Production Order for material 900010001 with following details:
Cat:MAT
Settlement Receiver:900010001
% :100
Settlement Type:FUL
System is giving an error msg. no.KD063 'Distribution rule for an Article can only be created automatically'.
Can anyone help us in analysing the same.
We want that while creating a Production Order Settlement Rule shall be created by default for Cat:MAT & Settlement Receiver:900010001 (Material of Production Order).Can anyone guide us how the same can be achieved.

please try this....Goto KSR2_VBP.
THere are two strategies.. 01 and 02.
01 for manual creation of settlement rules
02 for auto creation..
first check whether 01 and 02 are in your plant.
Sales and distrib....basic functions......auto gen. of settlement rules.......
here you ll find two activities.
(1)maintaining the settlement strategies and
(2)activating one among them.
If you activate 02, your problem will be solved..

The settlement profile is to be defined for thee particular Order Type to generate automatically.
Define Production Order Type in OPJH
Under Cost controlling check the settlement profile .
If not create the same in OPJH.
Settlement Profile: Create settlement profile - SPRO > Controlling > Product Cost Controlling > Product cost by Order > Period End Closing > Settlement > Create Settlement Profile
Enter Settlement profile from OPJH or Choose one for production order
and configure Settlement profile. Indicators

The info structure has probably been saved but not generated.
