DSO Request Activation

Hi All:
When trying to activate a successfully loaded request in an ODS, the job cancels.
When I check the Job Logs, it mentions error "SAPSQL_EMPTY_TABNAME", Exception "CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SYNTAX". Short Text "A dynamically specified FROM clause has an unexpected format".
I checked SAP Notes but couldn't find anything. Somebody mentioned a similar error some time ago, but it was fixed with SP 13... We're in BI 7.0, SP 15...
Did anybody get this error or a similar one?

Pls raise an OSS to SAP.
If not in production ,try deleting all the data ,reload small data and try activating it.
Also check DB02 transaction for any active or change log table errors

We have recently upgrade the system from BW3.5 to BI 7.0. and we have load data from r/3 to DSO. The load was completed sucessfully. While doing the activation, it's getting failed due to error 'UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION'. In the dump i have found this information.

    The occurrence of the exception is closely related to the occurrence of a previous exception "CX_SQL_EXCEPTION", which was raised in the program
     "CL_SQL_STATEMENT==============CP",
    specifically in line 31 of the (include) program
     "CL_SQL_STATEMENT==============CM002".
    The cause of the exception was:
    ORA-20000: Insufficient privileges#ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line

Hi Udaya,
This error i also use to get when i triggered some loads.
Actually this is a kind of Data Base. Error.
Your this load requires some more space than the usual one. So do one thing let all the pending processes end and then start this load seperatly. And when you Start the activation do one thing....assign some more space to this job (default is 6 i suppose).

Error while activating data from new table of DSO to active table

while activating data from new table of DSO to active table i am getting
error message as "Error occurred while deciding partition number".
Plz any idea hoe to resolve this one.

Hi
You are trying to update/upload the Records which are already been there in the DSO Active Data Table which has the partition.
Try to see the Record Nos already been activated and update/upload with selective, if possible.
You can trace the changes at Change log table for the same.

HT2188 iPad 1 requested activation after being low on power. Activation does not work.

My iPad 1 requested activation after being low on power. Activation does not work so I have tried to restore it from iTunes. this progresses but after rebooting, it gets to the activation process for a few minutes and re-boots again - in a loop now. on ios6, not 7. help please?
I also looked at trying to do a manual install of firmware via iTunes but I do not know the version of firmware or how to find it out - so really stuck!

I pulled my unit out of the dock - powered up and the display goes blank (if you look carefully you can see the bios boot screen, then black, then you can see the backlight turn off.
I plugged in the USB monitor and boom - I could log in.
Once Logged in I could see that windows still thinks it has some of the monitors from the dock, and the internal display is set to disable.
So the issue is the detection / setup of monitors in/out of the dock.
I've done about all I can do for dubugging, I hope lenovo can pick up from here. if not I'll have to call lenovo support.

DSO data Activation Time out-DATABASE ERROR-440

Hello all,
We are getting error in one of our standard DSO during activation -Error-Process 000001 did not confirm within the permitted time period,we repeated process chain ,we got the same error,we activated manually -we got the same error, I need to mention that we only have 3278 records which should not take more than few seconds-minutes to activate. we reset RSODSO_SETTINGS wait time by increasing still did do it , we changed data package 10,000 ,50,000 but it didn't correct the error, we even change DSO SID generation setting during activation to never create SID ,it didn't correct the error, we reactivated DSO,we indexed the table both new and active table but we are getting the same error, in a SM21 we are getting error DATABASE ERROR -440 [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] NO AUTHORIZED PROCEDURE NAMED > DSO_VERSION HAVING COMPATIBLE ARGUMENTS WAS FOUND... DBA reorg and did some other things but we are still getting the same error and the are not sure what the procedure DSO_VERSION is ,Any body have any idea what that procedure is and why we are getting that in sm21 during one DSO data activation? Has anybody had this kind of experience before? by the way we have researched on google SCN and nothing close to our scenario. By the way we ran the activation with the different settings both in dialog and background.We also got error Background process BCTL_4Z81MSY8311QNTKRYGRDYVFXY terminated due to missing confirmation ...Any suggestions will be of great help and points will be awarded....

Actually, there's more going on with VZ's mail servers than we'd care to deal with; to wit,
- a friend on att.net frequently gets her e-mails to me blocked for no good reason; she then has to request VZ to put her - again - on their whitelist;

If the SAP delivery version and the active version can be matched, a checkbox is displayed in this column.With the most important object types, the active version and the SAP delivery version can be matched.
When a match is performed, particular properties of the object are compared in the A version and the D version. First it has to be decided whether these properties can be matched automatically or whether this has to be done manually.
A match can be performed automatically for properties if you can be sure that the object is to be used in the same way as before it was transferred from Business Content.
When performing matches manually you have to decide whether the characteristics of a property from the active version are to be retained, or whether the characteristics are to be transferred from the delivery version.
The Match indicator is set as default in order to prevent the customer version being unintentionally overwritten. If the Content of the SAP delivery version is to be matched to the active version, you have to set the Installindicator separately.
The active version is overwritten with the delivery version if
 the match indicator is not set and
 the install indicator is set.

Unable to activate DSO Request

Hi All,
I have created a DSO based on 2LIS_02_HDR and ITM. I had enhanced HDR Dscrc with some 3 text fields and then i created 3 custom info objects for these text fields. I had selected Master with only Text check box, because i just want to show only text for this characteristics and hence forth i build the DSO and loaded it.
When i load the requests are green, and when its activated, the requests turn red. and the errors i get are:
Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT InfoObject 0DOC_DATE
Value '21102008 ' of characteristic 0DATE is not plausible
Process 000001 returned with errors
Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT InfoObject 0ENTRY_DATE
Process 000018 returned with errors
Activation of M records from DataStore object ZRS_DS01 terminated
I tried the steps, like activation in parallel, increased the process number, and then i run RSRV test for the objects too, but i still get this error.

0FIGL_O02 DSO not activating

Hi,
I'm loading data into the 0FIGL_O02 DSO. I'm using an Initialization infopackage. The QM status in the monitor for the infopackage is green and I can see the data in the PSA.
When I try to activate the DSO the QM status under DSO>Manage goes red but the Request for Reporting flag is set. In the contents tab of the DSO I can only see the New Data and not the Active Data.
I've tried to set the "Activate Datastore Object Data" flag under DSO>Manage> Environment> Automatic Request Processing but that doesn't work either.
Under RSODSO_SETTINGS I've increased the activation time from 600 secs to 3000 secs but still don't get anything.
Can anyone give me some suggestions as to what the problem is?

There is no standar info Cube for the data source FI_GL_4,on that you will get the information on detail Document level in that ODS, if you want any Cube you have to create the Cube based on that ODS using your own Dimensions.

DSO Partially Activated

Hi All
I have searched before posting this and although there are some threads re: the above they are not entirley like mine.
I have run an initialisation on a DSO but it will not let me activate it. On monitor everything is showing as green. When I go into the DSO to activate it the QM status turns red. If I hover over it the message "Error occurred during the activation process". If I click it a pop up appears saying "Request is already (partially) activated; no further QM action possible".
The same load is also loading into another DSO and everything is fine with that one.
Do any of you have any idea of what can be causing it.
I've tried initialising without data
I've tried loading into the psa first
I've even tried running the load and activation via a process chain
but each time the activaiton fails, maybe there is a setting somewhere or somthing I have to delete before I can go any further.
I've read a thread which mentions RSMONICDP, RSICCONT, RSODSACTREQ and RSODSACTUPDTYPE but these were mentioned in the respect of deleting the request. I can delete it but I want to beable to activate it.

I've looked on SM37 and it says "Overlapping check with archived data areas fro InfoProvider ZSD_O01. Data to be activated successfully checked against archiving objects. ABAP/4 SYNTAX ERROR"
I have now searched on the above error and although I found the exact same error the person solved it but didn't say how he solved it
I've looked on ST22 and there is a dump it is saying something about " /BIC/B0000343000 is unknown"

Dso data activation error

Hi experts,
During the activation of data in DSO I got an error, there is an invalid entry. There are almost 15 million records in this DSO I dont want to reload and activate them again because I am on quality server. I just want to keep these records as much as are active and want to report on them. I cannot change the request status to green as we do it in Cube. How can it be done.

Check the quality status of the request. and also verify the number of records added to Active table as this for UAT or testing purpose.
Other wise just delete the data from DSO and filter out the invalid entries and then reload the data. or Load a selected data for one or two years for the testing purpose.

Data vanishing in new fields after request activation in ODS

Hi,
I have added some new fields in ODS and updated it by end routine .Now when i run the dtp and check the data by pressing NEW DATA tab then i am able to see data updated in the new fields.
When i tried to activate that request in ODS ,the values that i populated in new fields got vansihed .I am not able to find wats d issue after activation even though before activating request in ODS all data is perfectly updated in new data table.

I have faced the same issue.Data was coming till new table,but after activation fields were getting
blank.
There is no necessity for doing a dummy mapping. In the transformation screen you will be having an ikon near to the delete
routine symbol with an arrow symbol
similar to select all and unselect all, just clikc on it and then mention the setting as Update all the target fields need to be populated.
This will solve the issue, if it is not solved, then you can make a direct mapping to any of the field in the source, it need not be the
exact field in the target.

Where i have to insert this 0Recordmode in Transformations in BI 7 ?
