DSWP - system monitoring/Administration - tasks not showing up

Hi all,
In our production system definition , in DSWP --> System  Monitoring/Administration for our Production systems, for one prod system, the "Display Open Tasks" - the icon is not showing up. It has disappered???? We have daily tasks defined.
Any ideas????
Thanks, Neeta

HI,
The production satelleite system underwent a unicode & platform conversion and yesterday solution manager diagnostics for the production satellite system was set up - using solman_setup. Any of these changes could have caused this issue, but how?
As far as SMSY data, ADS is flagged as "relevant" in our D and Q system and the "open display tasks" icon is there and active.
WE looked at note 1478251 and we are at SAPKITL435.
I am not the task creator but am helping someone who is....
Anything else we can check?
Thanks, Neeta

  • System monitoring, open tasks are no longer visible in Tcode DSWP

    Hello!
    I have patched my Solution Manager with the newest support packages and have the problem with system monitoring, open tasks. All the systems have a long_sid.
    I have implemented the SAP notes 1065285 and 1076772, but it was not sucessfull.
    <b>As well as open tasks as system monitoring are no longer visible in the Tcode DSWP.</b>
    Has some one the same problem or can help me to solve this problem?
    Thank you very much
    regards
    Thom

    Hello Thom,
    did have a look at SAP Note 1038134?
    If you are using Solution Mnager roles for System Monitoring the authorization check has changed and you need to maintain authorization object S_SOLM_ACT.

  • System Monitoring / Administration asking for logon id

    Each time I click on, "System Monitoring / Administration" in DSWP, a dialog box pops up asking me for a username and password. I've tried using the local system admin password, SAP*, my own SAP logon id, the J2EE_ADMIN user, etc.. but the dialog box just keeps popping back up. This doesn't happen under any other tab (i.e. Early Watch). If I hit cancel, I get the error below:
    Logon failed
    What has happened?
    Call of URL http://sapsolman.mpfs.maines.net:8000/sap/bc/solman/defaultUser/graphic/solmangraphic.htm terminated due to error in logon data.
      Note
    Logon performed in system SMS.
    Logon performed for client 100 and language EN.
    What can I do?
    Check the validity of your SSO ticket for this system.
    If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

    Please tell me what I need to do to fix this authorization issue. Thank you.

    Hi,
    When it pops up for a logon details, please check below to which system is it connecting? Then the communication user which is being used in both the Managed and Managing system will be locked. After unlocking the user in the Managed system the issue will be resolved.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Raghavendra.

  • Remote system monitoring entry- data not relayed to Central system

    Hello Folks,
                        I am trying to establish a central monitoring system for our client. I am trying to test it in the DEV environment first.
    The central system is a Solution manager system (Dual stack- ABAPJAVA). I am trying to bring in monitoring data from the ECC development environment (ABAPJAVA).
    First of, i created to RFC connections in Solution manager system, one for data collection and the other for analysis. I have maintained the host address of the ECC system as target.
    Then i have created a remote system entry in Transaction RZ21--> technical infrastructure entered the 2 RFC names and have executed the function.
    At this point i am only trying to bring in ABAP stack monitoring data form the ECC system so i have not generated the CSNCONF file.
    Now when i look in Solution manager RZ20-->CCMS monitoring templates, i can't see any data for the the ECC system.
    I guess i am doing something wrong. Am i looking in the wrong monitor set?
    As additional information: Solution manager (SMD) and ECC (ECD) use different transport domains / transport groups. I dont know if this makes a difference.
    Can some one please help.
    Regards,
    Prashant

    Hi Prashant,
    if I understand correctly your system shows only MTEs from R/3 Stack, not from the OS side, pls check your SAPOSCOL. Are the data in OS06 in your remote system correct and do you see the current data, refredhed all 10 seconds?
    To check your environment, pls do the following:
    in th efirst step check in RZ21 > in the Topology part the System Overview for your system connection to your back end system. Are the Read Destination Data RFC and the Destination Analysis RFC correct and works the authority chek fine?
    In the second step pls check in RZ21 > in the Agents for Remotey SAP Systems part; are there registered your remote ccms agents correctly and works the connection test.
    Stop the agents and in your RZ20 monitor pls enter STAT in your command field. Are there displayed for your MTE nodes the read RFC destinations?
    Start the agents and and in your RZ20 monitor pls enter STAT in your command field. Are there displayed for your MTE nodes the CCMS Agent RFC destinations?
    To rebuild the Monitor in the CEN system you could try to reset the node of your remote system in the warm up status > go in the remote system to RZ1 > go to local segments  > change to edit > select your segments > reset segment in "WARMUP" status.
    In the CEN system you coul try to go to the edit mode for the Agents for Remot SAP Systems > select your remote system and push the button Reinitialize Agents
    In the back end system you can try to delete all MTEs in RZ21 > menu Technical Infrastructure > Reorgenize Segment Table > select the options with "ALL" in the CEN and the remote system to reorgenize all data.
    Could you pls post for the missing MTEs a screenshot on the one side from the CEN system and on the other side from the remote system...
    and last but not least you could try the following for missing OS MTEs
    delete  ALALERTS, ALMTTREE and ALPERFHI in /usr/sap/ccms/<SID>_<SNR> and check in the agents folder all trace and log files for errors.

    Hi,
    1.Go To System Administration - > Permissions
    Set Permissions for your users for Portal Content and check .
    2.Also check whether you are using FQDN ie abc.company.com instead of IP address.
    3.Also add an entry to c:/Windows/System32/Drivers/etc/host file
    eg: 10.11.22.33  abc.company.com
    Hope it helps.

  • Workflow Created Tasks not showing up in My Tasks

    I'm relatively new to SharePoint and am having trouble with the My Tasks list in SharePoint 2013.  Tasks created manually in any task list show up in My Tasks as expected.  However, tasks that are created by a workflow using create item in list
    for that same list do not appear in My Tasks.
    This is true for both tasks assigned to a group and tasks assigned to a specific user.
    It has proven frustrating to attempt to google this issue.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi briandoyle,
    Did this happen to all users that the tasks created by workflow aren't displayed in users' My Tasks in MySite?
    Have you run a full crawl from Search service application, and also check if creating a new task view with filter option include group, and the following posts should be useful you can check.

  • Administrator Account not showing anything

    I am the administrator in a school G5 lab. We have suddenly had computers that will not really allow us to log in to the administrator account. Or at least, the password works, it says it's logging in, the background changes, but there are no icons, task bars or anything showing when it logs in. You cannot do anything except turn the computer off and on again and log in to a student account. Any ideas why a few (not all of the computers) do this?

    Don't know, but if you can log into the student account, System Preferences->Accounts->unlock the lock using the admin username/password combo, create a new admin user account, log out and into the new user account, delete the original admin account, saving its data, recreate it, log back into the restored account, transfer the saved data from the disk image file in /Users/Deleted Users/, delete the newly created admin account, and you should be good to go.

  • AD contains system Recovery Key, but not showing in MBAM.

    I am in an environment with MBAM 1.0 installed. I built the MDT 2013 system here and am currently trying to figure out why the bitlocker keys are showing up in AD but not MBAM.
    In MDT, I have disabled the "enable bitlocker" options so there shouldn't be a case where that the TPM ownership is wrong (I think). I do however set the
    bios password with CCTK, then apply the default bios configuration with an ini via cctk. The bios sets and activates tpm just before the hard disk is formatted by LTI.
    q1. Could setting the TPM without restarting cause the TPM ownership to be set to the PE in some weird way.
    q1.1. would I clear the tpm if this is the issue?
    So MBAM client is installed on the reference image and captured by MDT. The WIM is then deployed to a system using a standard TS with the bitlocker disabled like
    I mentioned above. I do not make any changes to reg for mbam in the reference image. For testing, I tried adding the mbam recovery key location url to the reference image reg. I still need to test that but a few other tests I did makes me believe this
    is not the case.
    MDT binds the system to a default OU in the domain. After the system is configured, I start Bitlocker. (Sometimes I start bitlocker when the system is in the default
    OU, sometimes I start it after I move them into the right ou for the role). I am almost positive the default OU has the mbam settings (I do not have access to this gpo), since the manage-bde -status comes back AES 128 with diffuser (as compared to regular
    aes 128).
    After bitlocker finishes, the key is found in AD but not mbam.
    I think the major questions I have are:
    How can I force MBAM to take ownership of the TPM after the os is bitlockered? (about 100/700 machines are not reporting to mbam but are to bitlocker because of this new deployment system)
    If I turn TPM on and activate while I was in the PE, would that mean the PE has the TPM ownership? (or bitlocker in this case, since mbam is not installed on the PE)
    - Could I install MBAM on the PE and use that to manage the tpm? (MDT 2013) (I have seen some documents that cover this but it largely comes from wanting a pre-provisioned bitlocker.)
    ** I think the most manual way of correcting the issue I am having, is to either clear the tpm and rebitlocker, or
    .. when a system is about to image, turn tpm on but leave it deactivated. (If I leave the tpm deactivated, every system will need to be manually rebooted and f10 will need to be pressed to continue the bitlocker process. this includeds
    a user login too)

    Keep the MBAM out of the .wim! Install it in task sequence.
    MBAM Client has its own log files in event viewer, there you perhaps find the reason why recovery key is not stored in DP. But fix your image first, keep it thin.

  • Watch/Monitor Buttons do not show the correct state

    I programmed several Watch buttons on SPA500 module and some buttons stay lit red even though the phones are not used.  When pressing the button it does call the Vacant phone.
    How can I fix the state to be correct and only be lit red when the corrsponding phone is used?

    Hi Guys,
    Was this problem ever resolved?
    I am having the same issue. Cisco CME on 2851 router. We have several Cisco 7970 IP Phones all provisioned at the same time, and all working fine. I have a 7914 module monitoring the phones and one is showing as off hook. (BLF -1).
    The phone that is showing offhook is ephone 7, it is being monitored by ephone 4. I have done factory reset, firmware upgrade, reset and everything recommended above but still having the issue. The red light indicates that the phone is offhook or not present although it is cleary registered to the CME.
    You can see from the show ephone register below (ephone 4 is monitoring ephone 7) that ephone 7 is showing as offhook when it is not and is also registered and working. It shows:
    button 33: cw:1 ccw:(0 0)
      dn 22 number 122 CH1   IDLE         CH2   IDLE         watch(BLF on phone -1) shared with monitor-ring
    I have attached config and tftp debug below. If any one can shed some light it would be much appreciated.

  • System icons('docklets'?) Not showing anymore in top right corner.

    Hi, this is my first time here, so I'm really sorry if this belongs somewhere else.
    I got my first mac about 2 months ago and it has been running fine until abouta week ago the system icons stopped showing up in the top right hand corner. I can still see himmelbar and my printer icon there, but the Bluetooth, airport, time, spotlight, and fast user switching are all gone on all accounts.
    Around the same time I have encountered that the system is sygnificantly less stable than it was before. I can consistantly crash the system prefrences by clicking on the mouse and keyboard settings, and there are other little things that cause programs to crash now.
    I have tried repairing permisions already, and I have checked the disk for errors. Everything is fine in those two areas and I am truely at a loss to understand what is causing this.
    If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. I'd rather not re-install OSX but I will if I have to.
    Thank you very much,
    Jacob Wilson

    They change colors when the background bar changes to enhance readability.
    If you go to Settings > General > Accessibility and turn White on Black ON, the symbols will be black on a white bar for the home and some app screens and orange and purple on a black bar for other screens.

  • System Preferences status icons not showing in the Menubar.

    After upgradind to Mavericks some System Preferences status icons stopped being shown in the Menubar.
    Anyone experiencing the same?Can someone help with a tip for restoring the Menubar as it was in ML?

    Open System Prefs...
    Some but not all will have an option to show in the menu bar.
    For third party apps, check in the app prefs and see if it has 'show in menu bar'.

  • Data appearing in VI Logger task not showing up in database but exists on disk

    Using VI logger lite 2, we ran a task that upon completion, appeared in the data selection subtree of the task much like successful data runs.  However, when one clicks on that data string, an error message stating that the task run selected cannot be found in the database is displayed.  Interestingly, when one chooses to not check another database, the times the task ran at are correctly displayed (9:26 - 9:29 am).  When viewing the database with the Historical Data module, the data does indeed not appear in the database.  When examining the raw files for the database on disk, a series of .cdpg and a .cdib file exist that have a creation time that matches the end time of the task (within 2 hundreths of a second).
    My questions in this scenario are, how do I recover this data, and what exactly has occured?
    Thanks!
    Wayne

    Those look like Citadel 5 data types.
    By the data string do you mean the name of the log?  Such as "MM/DD/YYYY HH:MMS.mmm"?
    As for why it is happening, I'm not sure.  Could you give us a screen shot of the error along with the VI logger environment?
    In the lite edition, you should be able to view in excel and export to html.
    Maybe someone has a crafty way of doing it, but there doesn't seem to be a method readily available.  I'm not very familiar with these file formats, but judging from this thread I don't think it is possible.

  • Task not showing in UWL XML File

    Hello Experts,
    I am back with another query in less than a week.
    Requirement:- There is a Transaction BNK_APP by which users do their task (approve reject etc) it triggers a workflow and then the workitems are generated and sent to SAP Inbox. These workitems are now shown in the users Inbox in UWL.
    Users dont want to see these particular workitems in their inbox as they are required to do this via the transaction and not via UWL.
    Workarounds:- I have been told that there is noway at all that this can be controlled from the workflow or the backend it has to be done by changing the UWL XML. Is it true that this situation cannot be achieved by changing or filtering the workflow or backend.
    From Portal, I can
    1. go into the xml file and delete that Workitem Task no.(TS50100025) and upload it with new name with priority "high" and good to go.
    2.  I can put something like this :
    <ItemTypes>
    <ItemType name="uwl.HiddenTask" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="launchWebDynPro" executionMode="default">
    <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="SAP_WebDynpro_XSS" externalType=" TS50100025" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
    </ItemType>
    </ItemTypes>
    BUT BUT, I feel very awkward telling you this, but in the XML i DID NOT find a single entry with the Task no. TS50100025. I switched on the Troubleshooting for UWL and saw that the config file was "uwl.webflow" with the same Task id. But when I checked the uwl.webflow XML I did not find an entry with that Task no. either.
    Whats wrong ?? Why the task/workitem is being shown in UWL but not in the XML ?? Is it even possible ??

    Hi Rajat,
    For the items to appear in UWL, they need to be part of one of the XML files.
    You are checking in wrong XML file.
    Check in  uwl.webflow.SAP_WebDynpro_XSS.
    Second part, you don't need to or rather you shouldn't modify this ML file. Because every time you register the connector this file will be regenerated.
    For more details on how to hide work items refer to SAP note 1437432.
    In short
    1. Create an XML file with any name say Hide Tasks.xml
    2.  An entry in this file might look like
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE UWLConfiguration PUBLIC '-//SAP//UWL1.0//EN' 'uwl_configuration.dtd'
      >
    <UWLConfiguration version="1.0">
      <ItemTypes>
        <ItemType name="uwl.webflow.DoNotDisplay12" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="something" defaultAction="something" executionMode="default">
          <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="SAP_R3_FINANCIALS" externalType="TS00300025" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
        </ItemType>
        </ItemTypes>
    </UWLConfiguration>
    Thanks

  • Data Source for Current Task not Showing in SharePoint Designer 2013

    Hello,
    I am creating a approval workflow in SharePoint Designer 2013. I had completed the workflow only to have the requirement by the client that they wanted to approve the workflow from email. So I thought why not use the Current Task:Form_URN data source field.
    But i went to look for it, and it doesnt appear to be in the drop down.
    Im on Office 365, and using it for one of my SharePoint Sites. Im new to Office 365. Please help.

    Hi ,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to use Current Task:Form_URN to let users approve the task in email.
    When we use SharePoint 2010 platform to create approval workflow with “Start Approval Process” action, in the approval notification email, there is a button called “Open this Task”with Outlook client. If we click the button, it will call the task and we
    can approve or reject the task.
    I added a log action into my approval workflow to log Current Task:Form_URN, the value of the log message was the edit form of the current task.
    If you want to use it in email, you can do as the followings:
    Open your approval workflow with SharePoint 2013 Designer (the platform of the workflow sould be SharePoint 2010 platform).
    Edit the workflow
    In the “Start Approval Process” action, click “Approval (*)”.
    Click “Change the behavior of a single task”
    In the “When a Task is Pending” section, find the action “Email task notification to
    Current Task:Assigned To “, and edit it like the screenshot below.
    Publish the workflow
