DTMF for BE

Hello
Or configuration: CCM 4.2 + gateway 2811 (BRI)
When we call a number which requires a choice in a menu, that does not function (example "Press 2 for French")
I think that it is a problem of DTMF.
I have download the Locale Installer to install BE
In the gateway, I have this configuration:
Voice-Port 0/0/0
Compand-type a-law
cptone C1
ccm-manager download-tones
When I do show ccm-manager download-tones I have BE for C1
A thing which appears odd it to me is that when I make Show ccm-manager download-tones C1, the PCM is u-law. In Europe one is in a-law
You have an idea?

Hi
Assuming you are using MGCP, you need the following command to pass DMTF.
Mgcp dtmf-relay voip codec all mode cisco

  • Disabling DTMF for Agent Transfer to IVR calls

    Hi,
I want to disable DTMF for agents when the agent transfer call back to IVR. I tried it by disabling the DTMF using SIP trunk but in this case caustomer is also unable to provide DTMF. Moreover with SIP normalization we removed telephony event in the SDP message but it only works for SCCP phone and I am having SIP phone.
By default SIP phone is using KPML to send the DTMF. Is there any way to block the DTMF in KPML.
Please advice is the any other way to achieve the requirement.
    Thanks,
    Ashfaque.

    UCCE or UCCX?
If UCCE with CVP - is wondering if microapp.input_type which should be set = D - well setting it to an invalid value like N instead for e.g. will help or not?
Why do you want to disable DTMF if I may ask - if there are no collect digits scripts like Menu or GD any which way - then pressing DTMF will be ignored by the system anyway's.
    Thanks,
    Kartik

  • Issue with DTMF for TBAT

We  have noticed that something changed between ICM 7.5 and 8.5 and/or CVP  7.0 and 8.5. We have one or two situations where a call comes into the  CVP Ingress Gateway, does the normal CUSP>CVP stuff, kicks off an ICM  script and ICM immediately responds with a Label that evokes a DTMF *8  for Take-Back And Transfer.  In ICM 7.5/CVP 7.0, this worked fine even  without setting any VXML parameters or extending the RTP from the  Ingress GW to the VXML GW.  Ever since we migrated to ICM 8.5/CVP 8.5  and new IOS on the Ingress (15.0(1)M7) and VXML GWs (15.1(3)T1), the  only way we can make the TBAT work is by playing a silence.wav file via a  simple VXML app.  It seems like the new versions moved the code needed  for DTMF from the Ingress GW to the VXML GW, or something.  I’ve tried  searching Cisco.com for this issue but haven’t found anything yet.

    Hi,
In BPS, you can use user specific variables or you can set up a Variable of type exit. You can also have a variable of type authorization which uses the security / authorization of the BW system.
    Hope it helps...

  • SPA122 with 1.2.1 won't save certain DTMF settings

Upon upgrading the SPA122 to firmware 1.2.1 I found that outbound DTMF tones were no longer being seen properly by remote systems.  Using the device web interface and changing the Line 1 "DTMF Tx Method" to "InBand" (using "Submit") successfully fixes the problem (G.711 and good link).  However I find that after a reboot or power cycle the setting always reverts back to its "Auto" setting therefore again breaking DTMF.
It appears that the SPA122 with 1.2.1 is not actually saving the "DTMF Tx Method" setting.
Is this a bug or is there something I am missing?

Thank you.  That is what is happening.  I had performed the configuration change directly on the device.  When I locally disable remote provisioning the overwrite on reboot does not occur.
... Next step is to dig in to why the "DTMF Tx Method" "Auto" setting yielded successful outbound DTMF in firmware version 1.1.0 but "Auto" fails to yield usable DTMF for me in 1.2.1.
    Thanks, jb

  • AAA Radius Authentication for Calling Card Platform

    Hi,
I am using AS5350 and I am using it for calling card application using Clear Box as my RADIUS Server for AAA. My question now, how would I know if cisco is sending the dtmf for "enter card number.au" on the RADIUS server ? Does the card number included on the VSA ? below are my configurations and the debug info. The problem here is that the card number that I entered doesn't able to match against the configuration on my Clear Box/SQL Database. I want to know what should I expect from CiscoAS5350 to send a vsa for enter_card_number ?

VSAs are collected by the RADIUS server during the accounting process when AAA is configured with the Debit Card feature. Data items are collected for each call leg created on the gateway. A call leg is the internal representation of a connection on the gateway. Each call made through the gateway consists of two call legs: incoming and outgoing. The call leg information emitted by the gateways can be correlated by the connection ID, which is the same for all call legs of a connection.
Use the H.323 VSA method of accounting when configuring the AAA application.
    There are two modes:
    •Overloaded Session-ID
Use the gw-accounting h323 syslog command to configure this mode.

  • DTMF not functioning

    Dear All,
We have the call center with following components
    IPCC 7.0 Hosted Edition
    CVP 3.1
    AS535XML (Ingress/VXML)
Suddently our call center having some issue with caller enter digit
if customer enter 44884000 its come to my ICM/CVP self-service as 44888400 or sometimes 44488400 or sometimes correctly.
We have restarted the Voicegateway also but no luck. We have restarted CVP Call server, CVP vxml server still we have issues with DTMF inputs, it is affecting our call center self-service very badly.
Could any one come across this issue or any advise please help us.
    with Regards,
    Manivannan

    Hi,
the issue is now closed as this was an issue from the Telco. We had taken a Wireshark trace from the VXML communications and isolated the issue to the gateways as the CVP logs also showed an Extra DTMF for the first two digits being entered. Further we took the logs of the gateway for the following debug:
    debug voip rtp session
    debug ccsip message
    debug voip ccapi inout
    debug isdn q931
    Here are the details:
    a) Good Call
The Calling number is 44251103, and the called number is 114, that is translated to 8897. The digits Entered are
    2,1,1,1,5,5,5,7,7,6,3,0,#,2,8,1,3,5,6,0,0,1,8,2,# and ended the call
    Conclusion:
We are able to identify all these digit input in this logs. This call is made from the Landline PSTN here and we are not facing on any calls made using the landline.
    b) Bad Call:
The calling numbers is 55577630 (3G mobile Number) and the called number is 114, translated to 8897. The digits entered are
    2,1,1,1,5,5,5,7,7,6,3,0,# and ended the call
    Conclusion:
We are seeing the digits entered as 2,1,1,1,5,5,5,5,5,7,7,6,3,0,# (Extra 5,5) from the logs and the IVR says that the Entered Digits are wrong.
We are seeing this issue with mostly calls that are coming using the Mobile Phones and isolate the Issue with the Telco.
Furthermore we found this issue with the 3G Mobile Phone Handsets and no issues were recorded for the 2g Handsets. The Telco Exchange (huawei) later checked the issue and did some changes on their side and  have resolved the issue.
This case is now closed as everything is back to normal , appreciate the trobleshooting tips..

  • Dialing number+number

    Hi,

    I have nokia 3100
    tnx,
    Ohad

It looks like it does the following:
    - It calls to the number before the '+' sign.
    - When the call is connected, the phone considers the number after the '+' as speed dial short key, and searches if there is a number assign to it.
    - If speed dial exists it sends the speed dial number as DTMF
    For example: send 12345+4
    - Call 12345
    - If the '4' key is assigned to speed dial, lets say '987', it sends '987' as DTMF to the other side.
Never saw such complex behavior !!

  • CUE - Hang Ups / Bad Audio

I have an odd CUE issue.
When calling the auto attendant from a cell phone and pressing * for VM access, most of the time it transfers (makes ringing noise), then hangs up.
This works fine on "land lines".
Occasionally you get through... but when you do you only get the first couple words, then it goes garbled, and then silent.
This is on a UC560 using SIP for PSTN.
A SIP capture of both call scenarios look the same except for the UC sending a "BYE" on the cell calls that it hangs up on.
    Has anyone else experienced this?
    Any tips for troubleshooting?
For the record, this isn't a single cell phone -- it is everyone.

I have Cisco SR # 623350861 open -- Packet captures are attached to the case.
Interestingly, the engineer I am working with has concluded that it is that some cell phones send long DTMF's... so when you press * in the auto attendant, it transfers to the VM, but is still transmitting *, which is apparently the DTMF for "exit" in the voicemail login prompt.
They do not have a workaround for me yet.

  • Lumia 710, how to use dtmf tones for interrogating...

I'm pretty happy with my 710 -- but then I always trail the curve somewhat!
Just one problem -- I'm trying to use it with sending DTMF tones, specifically to interrogate my answering machine remotely.  The answering machine is fine and works with other phones, just not my 710.  I've read the manual, and can't find any sort of setting.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi there mate,
You cannot use Nokia Suite with the 920. You can either use the Windows Phone app for Windows 8, or for Windows 7, depending on which system you have. There is also a Windows Phone app for Mac OS X users. You can also copy music and videos over to the 920 through File Explorer within Windows.
There is no support for FM radio function within Windows Phone 8 at present, same with file manager. As this is a user to user forum only, your best bet is to leave feedback direclty with Microsoft via the link: http://windowsphone.uservoice.com

  • Need information for how to capture, transmit and receive a DTMF tone

    Hello every body
I would like to implements the DTMF where i need some information that hoe i can
    1) Capture the tone mean when i press button 'one' it has to capture and generate a vaoice file.
    2) And i need to transmit the same thing to a remote system.
    3) At the remote system how i can reveive and identify that the tone is for 'one'.
    Thanks to ............. advance
    Sreenath Kulkarni

JMF isn't the right tool - it's about handling media streams
You could use it to capture the audio source, then obtain the audio samples,
But you would then have to perfom some signal processing on it to interpret/decode for tone detection
This is what should already be available via the JTAPI API (haven't checked but should do this sort of thing)
ie you should be able to code up an application that receives 'DTMF Tone' events & does whatever you need to do in response
This is what IVR systems do

  • Get the correct order of the tones for DTMF Decoder

I am trying to decoder the DTMF stream signal (contains mutiple tones, delay, noise), however, I have the problem to seperate each tone in the stream signal in order to input into the Goertzel for further analysis.
The phone number is 534-343-3436. At the input decoder, I do not know what is the phone number yet. However, I want to seperate 5 then 3 then 4 then 3....tone so I can put do the analysis on individual tone to know which tone is coresponding to what phone number.
Anyway I can archieve in LabView?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

There should always be an interval of no signal between tone pairs - otherwise you could not detect repeated values. For phone number 534-343-3333 you cannot just look for a change of frequency. Your signalling protocol must specify the minimum duration of a tone pair to be considered a valid signal and a minimum duration of no tone to be a valid separator between numerals. Maximum times are useful but not as important, except to determine how long the system will wait for a valid number.  The time settings may be dependent on the minimum tolerable signal to noise ratio.
So the algorithm would be something like this: Use amplitude discrimination to find the gaps between tone pairs. It does not need to be too good - it only needs to find approximate segments. It will use the timing specifications to set ranges of times to examine. Within each segment above threshold use the FFT to identify the tone pair. You could also use an FFT on the gap segments to verify that they do not contain a tone pair.
Also consider various errors. On Western Electric tone pads pressing two or more keys in one row or one column simultaneously results in a single tone. I have not looked at DTMF generators for some years so I do not know how how some of the IC-based generators handle that situation.

  • DTMF doesn't work for outbound call

We currently using UC520 and having strange problem.  When we call through SIP for outbound call DTMF tone is not transmitting.  and if I press multiple numbers with longer duration, It makes continuous tone on the other hand.
My current dialpeer uses DTMF relay RTP- NTE.  I will attach sh run and debug ccsip message file.  please help me this is being quite critical.

Seems like your SIP Trunk Service provider is not getting the RFC2833 packets or not interpreting them correctly.
I see on the log that you pressed 1, 2 & 3 and the UC520 sends all these digits out (each digit will have 7 packets - this post explains how to read this debug - https://www.myciscocommunity.com/message/14045#14045). So I know its not the UC520 - below is a snip for digit 1

    In terms of next steps:
    - Is there any router or NAT or firewall device between the UC520 WAN interface and the SIP Trunk service provider? If so maybe good to check if you can bypass this device or if this device blocks RFC2833 packets
    - Ask the SIP Trunk SP what they see on their end for the RFC2833 packets - you can send them a wireshark capture off the UC500 WAN port if that is more convincing than a debug log. Who is the SP by the way?

    hi all,
I need to recognize alphabets via DTMF. For examples users need to AFXPK, ACKPN etc. when then reach the IVR to provide certain codes.
These codes are then used to pick up information from database and proved the CTI data for agents.
Can any one share ideas on how it may be achieved.
We use CVP/VXML on UCCE 9.x.. ASR is not an option now.

  • TC software support for DTMF letter values

    Hi!
Got a question that I can't find a documented answer for.  On endpoints running any version of TC software, is there any way to get the endpoint to generate the DTMF tones for A, B, C, or D?
My gut feeling is no, if only because the graphical DTMF pad does not have those buttons (only 0-9, *, #).  The reason for asking is a customer is trying to call into an AT&T bridge which has one of those letters in the PIN.
    Thanks!

    Hi Wayne,
Thanks for the answer.  After reading it I realized I hadn't actually tried sending a letter DTMF.  The perils of internet research I suppose.  ;-)  Looking in the logs of my endpoint I saw that I was receiving the letter DTMF from the endpoint I was connected to.
