DTP for InfoObject

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to load master data from flatfile (customer), I am unable to create DTP to load the master data into InfoObject ex: ZCID.
Can anyone please let me know the steps to create the DTP to load the master data.

Hi
I encountered an error '**** Error from PSA ****' 'Error when activating Data Transfer Process DTP_436DF8XYKE2Y97CUX9W7FM0JH' while trying to activate the DTP for an infocube. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it ?
I'm on support pack 9 at this moment.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I had already created the transformation for the bespoke cube, checked, saved and activated it without any error. Next, I created the DTP for this cube. Checked it and there wasn't any error. However when I activated it, I received that error message. I didn't get this error when I activated DTP for DSO and master data infoobject.
I have deleted and created the DTP like 5-6 times and still faced the same error message.
Prior to applying support pack 9, I didn't get this error message. Now that I did and also applied the collective OSS note 978148 (BI in SAP NetWeaver 2004s: OSS notes after SPS9), I received this error message.

Updating attributes for InfoObject

I am getting below error while trying to load the master data "0MAT_PLANT" using DTP.
" There are duplicates of the data record 1 & with the key ' &' for
characteristic 0MAT_PLANT &. "
Tetted following.
1.vealidated the data in PSA, thers is no duplicate entries.
2.In the DTP monitor, I can see..
   1.Extraction DataSource 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR : Green
   2.Filter Out New Records with the Same Key : Green
   3.RSDS 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR -> IOBJ 0MAT_PLANT : Green
   4.Updating attributes for InfoObject 0MAT_PLANT : Red (falied)
I was performin the data load with only one record eventhough I m agetting this error measge Duplicates entries" , your help on this greatly appericiated..

Hi,
Check if it is full upload from PSA, and check how many PSA request are coming when you pull the data.
Might be in other request in PSA have duplicate entries.
When you pull the data from DTP as Full it will select all the request from PSA..

DTP for Master data

Hi Guys,
How to extract master data and hierarchies from ECC into BI infoobjects?
Do we follow the same procedure for loading master/hierarchy data as for transaction data - i.e. Load into PSA and then create Transformations and DTPs to load into infoobjects? If so, what is the best approach as far as Full/Delta loads.
1. Is it ok to do a full load into PSA (using infopackage) and then do a full load always (The process chains for master data would be running nightly).
or
2. Should we have 2 infopackages (full and delta) into PSA and then multiple DTPs. (The process chains for master data would be running nightly).

Indicator: Only Get Delta Once
Source requests of a DTP for which this indicator is set are only transferred once, even if the DTP request is deleted in the target.
Use
If this indicator is set for a delta DTP, a snapshot scenario is built.
A scenario of this type may be required if you always want an InfoProvider to contain the most up-to-date dataset for a query but the DataSource on which it is based cannot deliver a delta (new, changed or deleted data records) for technical reasons. For this type of DataSource, the current dataset for the required selection can only be transferred using a 'full update'.
In this case, a DataStore object cannot usually be used to determine the missing delta information (overwrite and creation of delta). If this is not logically possible because, for example, data is deleted in the source without delivering reverse records, you can set this indicator and perform a snapshot scenario. Only the most up-to-date request for the DataSource is retained in the InfoProvider. Earlier requests for the DataSource are deleted from the (target) InfoProvider before a new one is requested (this is done by a process in a process chain, for example). They are not transferred again during the DTP delta process. When the system determines the delta when a new DTP is generated, these earlier (source) requests are seen as 'already fetched'.
Setting this indicator ensures that the content of the InfoProvider is an exact representation of the source data.
Dependencies
Requests that need to be fetched appear with this indicator in the where-used list of the PSA request, even is they have been deleted. Instead of a traffic light you have a delete indicator.
Get Data by Request
This indicator belongs to a DTP that gets data from a DataSource or InfoPackage in delta mode.
Use
If you set this indicator, a DTP request only gets data from an individual request in the source.
This is necessary, for example, if the dataset in the source is too large to be transferred to the target in a single request.
Dependencies
If you set this indicator, note that there is a risk of a backlog: If the source receives new requests faster than the DTP can fetch them, the amount of source requests to be transferred will increase steadily.

Help. I'm trying to create a DTP for 0INDUSTRY texts

I'm trying to create a DTP for 0INDUSTRY (texts), but when I assign the DataSource (0INDUSTRY_TEXT), it shows me the next error message: "Target 0industry (type IOBJ) is not active".
Of course I've checked 0industry and it is already active!
I have the same issue with several characteristics.
Do somebody knows what can I do?

Try comin out of rsa1 transaction and then going back in...else login and logoff. Its generally happens that the changes dont get reflected and it then shows that error.

Error while Executing DTP for 0ic_c03

Hi Friends,
While executing the 2lis_03_bx DTP for the cube 0ic_c03, i am facing this peculiar problem.
Executing the DTP takes a lot of time and after some time i am getting the error "Status 'Processed with Errors'
Message no. RSBK257"
I have tried with all the three Extraction mode in DTP, but am gettig the same result. i also deleted the DTP and created it again, but am facing the same problem.
Please suggest me with some solutions.

My colleague told me that in BI 7, its not necessary that we have to load BX datasource. wanted to confirm whether that is true.
And another thing is i Tried to load the datasource 2lis_03_bf, to the PSA but i am facing getting the error message. Transfer structure field not contained in DataSource. Message no. R3037. and "Errors in source system, Message no. RSM340".
Are both the errors related.

We are working on HR in BI7.0 with Ehp1.
I am trying to Activate the Transfer Rules of 0HR_PA_PA_1 DataSource which has the BID (BW Development) as the Source System to itself in order to load 0PAPA_C02 (Headcount) InfoCube.
When trying to Activate, it gives the following error message:

Diagnosis
Errors with the global conversion rule for the field 0PERSLANGU.
System Response
The function module delivers the following error message:
Incorrect statament: Expression missing Operand mi
Procedure
Check the definition of the global conversion rule for an InfoObject.
In fact, we are Re-implementing 3.0b BW System in new BI7.0 Ehp1 System. I have checked the Config of InfoObject 0PERSLANGU to the one available in existing BWP (3.0b Production) system and it's all the same.
Has anyone come across similar error message and how did you resolve. Any help is very much appreciated.

When I activate BI content 2LIS_12_VCITM with transfer rule, The transfer rule was error with the message " Error in global conversion rule for InfoObject 0INCOTERMS2" and Mgs No. 263.
The transfer rule cannot be activated.
I checked the 0INCOTERMS2 infoObject . The global conversion rule is no error.

If you have not done so already can you apply the SAP note 1387854 in your system and it should prevent the problem from happening again. If you also reactivate the infoobject 0INCOTERMS2 in RSD1 then it should be possible to manually activate the transfer rule.

Authorization checked for infoObjects even though not relevant to report

Hello guys,
I am facing a problem in BI 7.0 authorization checks.
For a given report the BI team has placed a restriction in the query only for infoObject 0Comp_code (company code) and 0SOLD_TO (sold to party). Accordingly i have created authorization in RSECADMIN and assigned to role--> user.
But when the user runs the report, he gets as authorization error and during analysis in RSECADMIN i see that "list of Authorization relevant charecteristics(infoObjects) for info provider xxxx" contain other infoObjects as well.
Is it a case where infoObjects can be made authorization relevant for the whole info provider eg-ZSD_M42" (where this is a multi provider)apart from being checked for specific reports eg- ZSD_M42_Q0001?
How do i get around this problem?

What Zaheer said was exactly correct.Make sure all the Auth relevant Chaaracteristics of an Infoprovider are properly authorized through your Analysis Authorization.Suppose if you don't need security on other Characteristics of an InfoProvider give * in your AA which will byepass check on that particular Auth relevant Characteristics..
More over,See to that all the key figures are properly authorized as all the keyfigures are by default auth relevant in BI.

Error when charging hierarchy for infoObject hieracky for 0MATERIAL from infosource 0MATERIAL_LKLS_HIER.
I have an issue when performing a charge of the material hierarchy for the 0MATERIAL InfoObject. The problem is that maybe there are some referential problem. I show you 2 images about that.

For this you can enter the screen of infoobject change and select the hierarchy tab at the bottom theres a button External Characteristic in Hierarchy ....there you can set other infoobjects that can be part of the hierarchy of your infoobject...
This is the procedure but you only can add infoobjects that attributes of the principal infoobject ....

When i am creating multiprovider i am getting error message."Compounding consistency for InfoObject 0PERSIDNO not ensured".
In one of the affected InfoProviders, InfoObject 0PERSIDNO is compounded with InfoObject 0COUNTRY_ID. 0PERSIDNO is mapped to InfoObject 0PERSIDNO in the identification list. As a result, 0COUNTRY_ID is also mapped to 0COUNTRY_ID (because InfoObject 0PERSIDNO is compounded with 0COUNTRY_ID in the MultiProvider),
in my multiprovider i am using 2 infocubs and 1 dso.
Pls suggest me.

A record of 0PERSIDNO master data is uniquely identified by the combination of 0PERSIDNO code and 0COUNTRY_ID code (it has a composite primary key).
Therefore, if you include 0PERSIDNO in your Multiprovider, you should also include and map 0COUNTRY_ID.

when executing a query containing 0currency or an infoobect refferring to 0currency the following error message occurs:

The problem probably came from a master data upload from flatfile containing a wrong currency.
How can you put 0currency into a consistant state again?

Please try below,
1) GO to RSRV transaction and perform all tests for master data infoobjects. Check out what error it gives. Many times RSRV also corrects the error. You will get correct error option above the error description.
OR
2) Try deleting the erroneous recor. If it is incorrect record, it must not be used in any transactional data. SO it should allow you to do that. Then activate the master data.

seems this message is common when activating BI_CONT.
I believe what i did was:
- go to the InfoObject
- verified Object Routine (check) (then was ok).
- Removed Object form DS
- Activated DS (w/o info object was giving problems)
- Placed InfoObject back to the DS
- Activated DS but now including Info Object
Believe that worked for me.

i am mapping the fields which i need rest of them I am not mapping the fields for which i am not mapping leads to errors like

when I map this error I cant see
is it mandtory to map all the fields

not a problem. check which feilds you don't want to map. Make ithose as "No Transformation" for those fields in Rule details.
Note: What ever is possible in 3.X for UR or TR, everything is possible in Transformation of BI 7.0 As well( excpet return table, etc).
