DTP status is in yellow forever

Hi experts,
We are using BI 7.0. Last weekend we implemented SP 19.
Since putting in SP 19, some master data loads are running correctly, but remaining 'yellow'.
The data package in the DTP monitor remains yellow since almost 24 hrs with only "Extraction DataSource" turning green.
In SM37, it says the DTP has run successfully.
It appears as though it has just stopped, with no reason.
This happened to 3 of my master data. Also, i am not able turn this request to green/red as these are master data.
Any input would be great.
Cheers

Hi......
DTP request sits in table RSBKREQUEST.............Ask some ABAP people to Change the Field USTATE and TSTATE to 2 ( Processed Successfully).........actually it is now is 5 ( Active ) there..........If u hav authorization.........then u can also do it.....
Then ur problem will be solved.........
But u hav to fix this problem permanently.........if this loads is part of any Process chain...........deschedule the Chain.then again schedule it back..........it may help......

Debjani........

  • Process Chain Status Red, DTP status yellow, DTP is green from inside

    Hello All,
I have a problem where the  Process Chain  status is red, but the process(DTP) status is yellow.
When I right click on the yellow process there is no error message and the DTP is green in Process Monitor.
But the chain did not complete and the rest of the process steps are grey.
After 20 minutes the Process Chain ran again(automatically after new data arrived) and this time without errors and it went green.
My question is, how to proceed with the red Process chain and complete the further process and make it green.
    Regards
    Alex

    hi,
There are scenarios where you need to change status of a process chain or a particular step in process chain.
You might need to change the status in the cases where we need mark these steps successful so that dependent steps get processed. There are other scenarios where one needs to change the status of a single step in the process chain or status of whole process chain.
Step by step instructions on change process chain status
    1. Right click on the failed step in the process chain monitor and go to displaying messages
    2. Go to u2018Chainu2019 tab and note down variant, instance and start date
    3. Go to SE16 and the table RSPCPROCESSLOG and enter variant, instance and start dates from step 2 and note down log_id, type, variant, instance.
    4. Go to SE37 transaction and execute the function module RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH and enter the values from step 3 and enter the new status u2018Gu2019 in status field and execute the FM
    5. This sets the status of the process chain (PC)
After you set the status using the FM, go to the monitor screen of the process chain, you will notice the changed status. Now dependent steps in the process chain will start running
    Thanks

  • Short dump when trying to change DTP status to 'green'

    Hi,
For a DTP delta run that brings in 0 records, the technical status turn green after 5-6seconds. But the overall status remains in yellow state.
Also if we manually try to set it to 'red', I am able to do so and delete this request and run a new request, but again it ends with overall status yellow.
If I try to set it to 'green' manually following short dump occurs:
    Category               ABAP Programming Error
    Runtime Errors         MESSAGE_TYPE_X
    ABAP Program           SAPLRSMDATASTATE
    Application Component  BW-WHM-DST
I have already scanned all SAP notes relevant for this short dump, but none of them relates to this scenario.
Please let me know if anyone faced this issue anytime, and how was it solved?
    Version : BW 7.02 SP14
    Regards,
    Rathy

    Hello Rathy,
    You can do following things,
From message, it is apparent that there is Error in one of the ABAP Program . And as the Error is occurring within few seconds of the Start of DTP, can you check and debug the Start Routine .
If Start Routine is not there, try to check whatever ABAP routine are there in facilitating the  processing.
    ( Routine in relevant Application Componenrt - BW-WHM-DST )
Before this, can you also check the ABAP Dump through  ST22 and make sure that the underlying datasource ( for DTP ) is OK and smooth.
Try to proceed in that way.. Hope this helps !

  • Job completed but status showing still yellow

    Hi Experts,
One of full load status tab showing yellow, but the job completed when i checked in SM37.
I am loading from ODS to Cube there is no PSA. we are using 3.5 version.

    Hi David,
Check the load in the details tab weather all the data packets are in green status. If at all the idocs are hung or TRFCs are hung you may face this issue. try to manually flush the hung Idocs and TRFCs.
If everything is fine wait for the PID  process to finish- some times it happen the PID might be running at the background.
If everything is fine n the status of the request is yellow -try to change the status of the load to green.

  • Status remains as Yellow, for no data

    hi ,
in our master data load process chain, a datasource which has 0 records in the sourcesystem returns 0 records in BI. but the status remains as yellow , instead of green.
since the status is yellow the next process is not getting triggered. only if we manually change the status to green, the process chain continues. wht shall we do to change the status to green automatically.

    Hi DOLLY,
you need to cofigure  a small setting at Infopackage for this.
RSA1-> infopackage -> scheduler -> Trafic light color for Empty request -> select green and save it.
for 0 to 0 records load will show as Green.

  • Unable to manually set the BW request status from hanged yellow state

    Hi All,
We were running a BW upload when it failed due to some ABAP dump. The request remained in the status yellow.
We tried to manually set the status to red or green in RSA1--> manage (infoprovider)
This did not allow me to reset the status there.
I searched the SDN and found this blog: http://scn.sap.com/community/data-warehousing/netweaver-bw/blog/2013/10/23/deleting-dtp-requests-when-the-dtp-step-is-hanged
But in our case the table : RSBKREQUEST shows "USTATE" and "TSTATE as "0"(zero).  I can reset the status only when it shows 5. So running RSBM_GUI_CHANGE_USTATE in SE37 to reset the status to "0" (zero) is not an option here.
Iam sure others would have come across this situation before. If you could throw some light on how to reset the BW request status to RED or Green so that I can restart the load again.
    Your help is really appreciated.
    Thanks
    Manmath

    Hi,
please check the below tables have your DTP request ID.
Note: Be aware the deleting the request form the data base tables
    RSBKREQUEST
    RSREQDONE,
    RSREQICODS,
    RSICCONT
    Thanks,
    Phani.

  • Technical Status is in yellow but total status is in Red

    Folks,
My Init load failed due to RFC errors, in the monitor Total is showing Red Status but the Technical is still showing yellow status and I am unable to delete the failed PSA request to re-start my Init load, please let me know how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Hi ,
did you cancel the job in source system .. first cancel that job  and the delete that request ..
request might take long to delete due the more no of records ..
check the deletion job in source system wether its progressing or not .. In general you can follow this if you face this kind of issue further ..

  • BO4, CMC: status of server, yellow icon

    Hi,
on a fresh installed BO4 server (Windows) all servers are up and running but I see a yellow "Server status" icon in the CMC at the InputFileRepository and OutputFileRepository server. All other server have a green status.
I didn't find further information regarding this in the admin guide. What does that status exactly mean, how can I find the reason for this issue?
    Thanks!

    Hi Steve,
yellow status means...either its in STARTING or STOPPING as you can see in the Server Node. Stop the Input and Ouput FRS and start again.

  • Data load status stay in yellow

    Hi,
My BW platform is BW 701 with SP 5.  I am loading ECCS data hourly with 3.5 method which include transfer rule and update rule.  Most of the time the data load are successfully completed.  The total number of records is about 180,000 records and extracted in 4 packets. Once in a while, randomly one of the data packet stay in yellow could not complete the load.  But, in the next hour data load, the data loaded successfully.  We know it is not data issue.  Does anyone know why the data load is not consistently?  Any suggestions are much appreciated.
    Thanks for your suggestions,
    Frank

    HI Frank,
This might be because some of the TRFc or Idcos might got hung.
Check the source system job got finished or not.
If the source system job got completed check the TRFCs and IDOCs if there are any hung TRFCs and IDOCs.
in the monitor screen --> menu bar environment > select job overview> source system (enter id n pwd ) check the job status.
once its done to check the TRFCs
Info package>Monitor->Environment> Trasact Rfcs-->In source system --> it will diplsay all the TRFCs check for your hung TRFCs and try to manually flush the TRFC(F6).
If idocs are hung change - process the IDOCs manually.

  • IP status is in Yellow but job is finished

    Hi ,
I am working on BW system in which I am loading the data from IP to Data Target directly without PSA.
Here I am facing a problem that load is failed but If I go to IP Monitor, I am able to see that request is in yellow color.
I have gone to ST22 but thera is no dump.
Would you please tell me what could be the root cause fo this one.
    Regards,
    K.Krishna.

    Hi krishna,
What is the source system? -- ecc or flat file?
from the load monitor screen check the below options...
First check if the source system job finished or not?
Check if there are any HUNG TRFC from source to BW system which did not processed.
if the source system job is finished , check for the TIDs from the job log and go to TRFC screen and try to manually flush the hung TRFCs...the load will goto green.

  • Until 50,000 records reaches does the request status will be yellow?

    Hi all,
I can see there are 20,000 records in the request but then it is in yellow, so i believe until the same request reaches 50,000 records the request will be still in yellow isn it?
Can anyone pls confirm me on this!!
    Thanks
    Pooja

Its not necessary that it should have 50000 records. It completely depends upon how many records in tables are satisfying the conditions of the data selection in infopackage.
It will fetch all the records then only it will change to green.

  • LED flashes yellow forever! Arghhhh!!!

My Apple TV stopped working for no reason a few weeks ago. Nothing would appear onscreen except the apple logo for a few seconds, and then the screen would go black. Finally, I sent it back to Apple and they sent a replacement. Still no good.
The LED flashes about once per second forever. It never goes solid, never goes white, just flashes. I unplug it. I plug it in after a day. Nothing. I have tried everything . Has anyone out there experienced this?

A flashing amber light could mean a couple of things. Generally it means the unit is starting up. If it flashes amber when you press the remote it is because of an incorrect pairing of the remote. If it flashes amber and white alternatively it means there is a problem.
Of course if it simply flashes amber forever as you say it sounds as though it never finishes starting up. I know you say you unplug it for a day, but try it once more and remove all the cables from it, you only need wait 30 seconds before trying it again. If this doesn't work I'd return it for another unit.

  • DTP yellow status

    Hi experts,
We have a DTP that is currently in yellow status, yet when we monitor its processing it is successful (green). we have also checked the DSO and the contents are there as well. Seems the process chain ran successfully however the DTP is stuck in yellow status (in progress).
Is there anyway to cancel or fail the process chain? its still in yellow status.
    mark

In this scenario, you can run program to turn process chain step into green.
To push process chains manually further, that is to convert yellow process into green - please follow these steps.
(Assume that step 4 in process chain is yellow which you need to turn it to green)
    Execute in SE38 -> RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH
Fill the following parameters on screen and rest all can be left blank.
    1. LOGID - you will find this when you do monitor of your process chain. Every time you run process chain, unique LOGID is created.
    2. TYPE - If step 4 is ODS activation then TYPE wud be ODSACTIVAT and if it is infopak loading TYPE wud be LOADING and if it is DTP Load TYPE wud be LOAD.
    3. VARIANT - In the process chain monitor mode, right click on step 4 -> Display Messages. Go to chain tab and there you will find VARIANT
    4. INSTANCE - In the process chain monitor mode, right click on step 4 -> Display Messages. Go to chain tab and there you will find INSTANCE
    5. STATE - Value wud be G
After entering above parameters, click execute. It will be done in fraction of second and wont give any popup. Now when you will check process chain monitor, you will see that step 4 is green and next step has started executing.
