DTR - Relocate WorkSpace - Repository Id?

disregard this.

Hi David,
you can find the repository ID using DTR's WebUI.
Use your web browser to connect to the target DTR system
(one where the workspace should move into) and then
navigate to:
system-tools/reports/ResourceDetails
In the Resource Path field enter "/" (without quotes) and click "Show". In the resulting list of properties look for the property named x:repositoryid.

  • What are the components use to be store in workspace repository ?

    Hi ,
We are working on Hyperion System9 v 9.3.1 which is on AIX server with Oracle 10g repository. We have scheduled approx 300 bqys having email notification which is importing bqy output files to respective folders with joboutput in another folder.
As, we know that all bqys & jobs use to be store in file system on Hyperion server (/Hyperion/BIPlus/data/RM1_servername/root/../...).
But our concern is hyperion repository size which is 163 GB in current scenario.
Therefore, we need to know that what are the components use to be store in repository for Hyperion workspace.
Your any guidance will be highly appreciable.
    With regards,

    Hi,
In the company they want that the employee can display the catalog.
In the system ECC SAP menu -->Human Resources -->Training and Event Management --> PV01
Also they want display the Availability of the room for a course.
This can do in E-Learning? or the solution is using ITS?

  • NWDI DTR ( Design Time Repository ) for use with XI

I know many people use CMS to do their XI transports - but is anyone using DTR for version control of XI objects?  Any information would be much appreciated.

    hi,
I have done in installing CMS without DTR, CBS,  so maybe they are for managing of version of java sources.
if you are planning to manage java source like ejb, you may need to configure DTR, CBS during installing CMS.

  • Shared Repository without NWDI / DTR

    Hello!
    We use Visual Composer 7.1.
Is it possible to transfer Visual Composer models to the Shared Repository without DTR or NWDI?
    Thanks, Thomas

    Hi Thomas,
The way to transfer components from the Local Repository to the Shared Repository is the same as the way to work with DTR.
(right click on the model/DC in the Local Repository --> add to source control)
Just to avoid confusion in terminology, "source control" is the general definition. Both DTR and Shared Repository can be source control, depends on system's configuration.
In your case, Shared Repository serves as source control.

  • Where does workspace store the pdf and excel file ?

    Hi,
I'm working on a Web Analysis project and I have created a dynamic web menu based on the workspace repository to improve the poor capacities of WA in terms of menu. I use the javascript API to control the WA applet from the menu.
Now my problem is that my customer created a folder in workspace (which is translated into a sub menu of my dynamic menu), and that folder contains pdf and excel files. The function openFile which I use to open report in the applet doesn't work on pdf and excel files. So I've been looking for the files on the server, to know where they are stored, so that I could just modify the java class that generates the menu.
I couldn't find those files on the server. Where are they ? Are they stored in the database as an xml string like the report s ? If yes then I might have a problem.
Has anyone already done this ?
    Thanks for your help.
    Cyril

Tomcat stores it in the work dir under $TOMCAT_HOME.
    There'll be directories like localhost%2f<urcontext>..
As for as JSP changes being recognized, try refreshing ur browser....

  • Can anyone give me the steps for moving the repository databases in 9.3.0?

We are in the 9.3.0 environment and I need to move the four repository databases for essbase, biplus and webanalysis/workspace to a new machine. I tested moving the databases and rerunning the config util, but I lost my sample reports I created earlier. Does anyone have a step by step procedure for moving the repositories?
    Thanks,
    -C.

If you are moving reports why don't you bulk export them from workspace and then import them into your target.
Are you talking about migrating the repository across different shared services environments, if so then I doubt you will have much luck with trying to migrate the workspace repository as it pretty tied in with shared services.
    Cheers

  • Where does Workspace store documents?

    Hi,
I uploaded Word and Excel docs into Workspace's Explore folders. Does anyone know where those are really stored?

    Hi,
They will be stored in \hyperion\products\Foundation\workspace\data\RM1_<servername>\root
They are given an id which replaces the filename e.g. 0000012564304b72-0000-0f68-c0a80104 which links back to the workspace repository tables., the file extension is already removed.

  • Printer setup in epm workspace

    Hello Experts,
Anybody there who set up printer in epm workspace. Is that doable?
I need to print text files from workspace repository without downloading into local and cant use ctrl+P. Because I need to pass some control characters to printer to manipulate the text file appearance.
    Please share your thoughts.
    Thanks,
    Aravind

    Hi Aravind,
Adding printer option is possible under Navigate->Adminiter-> Reporting and Analysis->Physical Resources->Add printers. However this will be applicable only for Reporting and Analysis.
For plain text which is imported as a file the only way will be to use ctrl+P as far as I know.
    Thanks,

  • How to remove a DC

    Hi...
I'm trying to delete a DC, in my NWDI infrastructure.
Searching in help.sap.com, I found this links:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/43/cf6bac44e70a85e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/45/b4b58675a3003ae10000000a11466f/content.htm
But, I never do this, and I'm looking for an example.
    If someone can help me...
    Thanx....

    Hi...
    I'm using this tutorial:
    Summary
    Symptom
How to delete workspace folders in DTR
    Other terms
DTR, Design Time Repository, Workspace Folders
    Reason and Prerequisites
DTR clients currently doesn't support the deletion of workspace folders
    Solution
Workspace Folders are those folders which contain workspaces as their members. The standard DTR client in SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio doesn't support the deletion of workspace folders. The deletion of those folders from outside the developer studio can make the Developer Studio unuseable. Every Developer Studio which refers (by DC configurations, DTR clients) to a workspace folder may get corrupted if the folders are deleted.
But if it can be assured that no Developer Studio refers to a workspace folder anymore (by removing the development configurations refering to the folder) there is a way to delete the folder. This can be done with Internet Explorer. Please follow these steps to delete the folder:
    1. Find out the URL under which the folder is accessible (
    e.g. http://test:50000/dtr/ws/XYZ/test.sap.com_HM_PVC/dev)
    2. Start Internet Explorer
    3. In the menue select "File->Open" and enter the URL of step 1. Make sure to check the box "Open as Web Folder" and press OK.
    4. In the upcoming window you see an Explorer-like view on the content of Workspace Folder. Select in the menue "View->Go To->Up one level".
    5. Right-Click on the Icon representing the workspace folder and choose delete.
Now the workspace folders are deleted. Also folders on top of workspaces folders can be deleted in this way.
A precondition for deleting a workspace folder, or a folder on top of it, is that it must be empty. If the folder to be deleted is not empty
the deletion will not succeed. This means that, in case when there is
a hierarchy of folders to be deleted, it has to be done bottom-up.
I can open DC's, and view all my data, but when I try to delete any component, I receive this wanring:
Is not possible delete xxxxx (where XXXXX is my component, or something else).
    Someone can help me?
    Thanx...
(sorry for my bad english... I'm learning)
PS: Where I can read that note? I'm can't find it... Can you send me the link?

  • Error while ipmorting dev configuration in NWDS

    HI
I am getting error as "<i>No configurations on server or server error</i>" while trying to import development configuratios in NWDS 2.0.7. I am using WAS 6.40 sp 9 . plz provide me some idea what to do.
I thought may be its because my cms has not been configured for domain & track. I tried to confiogure domain and succeed. but while tring to add track I am getting error as"
<i>Collection 'compartments' of configuration "dm_dev" is empty or missing (null). : compartments</i>
again while adding track in domain if I adds software components "SAPDEVINFF" from the list it's giving the following error "
<i>DTR (URL http://<server-name>:50000/dtr) server exception: Repository "http://<server-name>:50000/dtr"  failed to properly respond to request "PROPPATCH ws/dm/sap.com_SAPDEVINFF/dev/" [HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error]</i>
actually I am tring to configue JDI on WAS but get stuck with these configurtion things since last 3/4 days.
    thanks in advance
    Ashutosh

    Thanks Pascal,
    First one I understood.
for the second one I tried from my friend's system who has NWDS 2.0.9, but it showed same as above problem. I guess this is because I have not defined track.
I have followed the NWDI installation guide of version sp12 . I guess that should not be a problem. I could not find a guide for sp9.
now I have to solve the problem of these errors that is shown while defining track.
one thing i want to let you know that while I am tring to access the CBS url <i>http://<server-name>:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc.CBS.WebUI/WebUI</i>
        its giving error
    <i>An error has occurred:
    "Failed to process the request."
    Please contact your system administrator</i>
even though I have configured CBS as per the installation guide.

  • RE: Importing a class CEX file using TOOL

What exactly are you trying to do when you say "import"? I can think of
    two possibilities:
    1. You simply want to import the text of the file, in which case
you can use Forte's File class.
    2. You actually want to load the class definition and instantiate
an object based on that class. If so, you will need to deploy the class
in a library and use Forte's dynamic class loading and instanceAlloc().
This is well documented in the Forte manuals.

    Hi Forte Users,
Would anyone know how to import a class CEX file using TOOL
    code? Is there
a class in one of the libraries that I can use to do such a
    task?
If anyone has some insight into such an endeavor (positive or
    negative)
    please respond!
As well, I would like to express my appreciation for this
    mailing list - it
has carried some excellent Forte dialogue.
    Thanks for all your help!

    Hello,
I don't know about any forte classes to do the job.
But, if it just automating the imports that you are concerned with
then you can accomplish it using fscript.
For eg. in UNIX machines you can write a shell script to go through
a directory, get all files with .cex extension and call fscript which
would open a workspace/repository and do an import plan.
    Hope this helps

    Hi Chris,
The goal that I want to achieve is this: at runtime, read a CEX file from
my filesystem and "import class" it into my workspace. It is equivalent to
invoking the menu item "Component,Import Class/Interface".
Basically I am generating hundreds of TOOL classes and I don't want to
manually import them myself. I am aware of the Forte Code generator, but
the classes I wish to generate are much too complex for the generator (I
want virtual attributes based upon NonKeyAttributes, with their own Set and
Get methods, as well as methods with changing/variable parameters -
something I believe that the generator cannot handle).
    Cheers,
    Geoff Whittington

Subject: RE: Importing a class CEX file using TOOL
What exactly are you trying to do when you say "import"? I can think
    of
    two possibilities:

    Auto forwarded by a Rule
    Hi Forte Users,
Would anyone know how to import a class CEX file using TOOL
    code? Is there
a class in one of the libraries that I can use to do such a
    task?
If anyone has some insight into such an endeavor (positive or
    negative)
    please respond!
As well, I would like to express my appreciation for this
    mailing list - it
has carried some excellent Forte dialogue.
    Thanks for all your help!
