DTR workspace is not modifiable

Hi,
I am trying to checkout a DC from one the tracks and it is giving read only error "DTR workspace is not modifiable"
please help me how to resolve this issue .points will be awarded for sure

Hi Bala,
1. Check if you have the permissions (Access,Read, Write,Checkin DTR permissions) on the SC (from which you are trying to check out a DC).
2. If the DC is already "Exclusively" checked out by another user then you will not be able to check out.
3. Sometimes if you are in a wrong perspective in the NWDS and if you are trying to check out then you would get the error "DTR workspce not modifiable"
Check for the above conditions and still you are unable to proceed post more information on how you are trying to check out a DC.

ok thank for reply.
i can modify now my code but when i have created the track i have given my development server details under runtime. But i chaned that once QA1 by mistake and later relized then again reverted back to development.
so in this case do i need to import/check-in all software component again in my track?
Now i am having the original system details.(that i gave at the time of track creation and import ESS).

I'm not able to edit projects anymore in NWDS.
When the popup appears for checkout it says that :
Checkout is not possible. See below for details.
The operation requires the writeability of the following Objects:
View com.xxxx.sap.xxx.xx.comp.bupa.view.BuPaFavorites

I'm quite sure I have the right authorizations on the NWDI as I've already been able to edit and deploy before ...
Timeframe when this occurs is after upgrade of Development configuration pool server, don't know if this has some effects on the issue ...

DTR workspace folders and object location

Where is the workspace folder/resource path in the DTR stored at the unix level? especially the active DCs?

Hi Mikie,
the DTR workspaces are not stored at the filesystem (directly) at all. They are located in your database.

Icons in workspace are not displayed

Hi there,
after installation of EPM 11.1.2.1 icons in the workspace are not shown correctly.
In the Explorer window the Icons for folders and documents are missing.
Any ideas?

I had this same issue a few months ago in my 11.1.2.1 sandbox. Oracle had me do the following due to Weblogic.xml has the wrong path-known issue per them.
Solution:
Stop the "Reporting and Analysis Framework web application" component,
- Navigate to <ORACLE>\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\biplus\InstallableApps,
- Take a backup of the file called raframework.ear,
- Extract this file in a temporary folder (e.g. using Winzip or 7zip),
- Navigate to that temporary folder,
- Extract the file called raframework.war in a temporary folder (e.g. using Winzip),
- Navigate to that temporary folder,
- Navigate to the WEB-INF folder,
- Edit the file named weblogic.xml with a text editor,
- Locate the below paragraph:
<virtual-directory-mapping>
<local-path>C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1/ReportingAnalysis/RAFrameworkWebapp</local-path>
<url-pattern>/jsp/form/*</url-pattern>
<url-pattern>/media/mt/*</url-pattern>
<url-pattern>/media/mt_thumbnails/*</url-pattern>
</virtual-directory-mapping>
Does the <local-path> tag point to something like "@oracleInstance@/ReportingAnalysis/RAFrameworkWebapp" instead of the real path?
If this is the case, please:
- Replace the value of the <local-path> tag with the actual path to the folder.
The @oracleInstance@ should be replaced with the path to the EPM instance on the server where the "Reporting and Analysis Framework web application" component is located.
For your reference, the <local-path> tag is pointing to the below location in my test EPM System 11.1.2.1 environment:
C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1/ReportingAnalysis/RAFrameworkWebapp
('\' or '/' characters do not matter at that point)
- Save and close the file,
- Re-build the raframework.war file so that it includes the modified version of the weblogic.xml file,
- Re-build the raframework.ear file so that it includes the modified version of the raframework.war file,
Please ensure that both the ear and the war files have their directory structure being built exactly the same way as before such files have been altered. Not following this recommendation would prevent the "Reporting and Analysis Framework web application" component from starting properly,
- Clear the Weblogic temporary location for the "Reporting and Analysis Framework web application" component.
The actual location to be cleared can be retrieved from the JVMOptionX defining the "-Dweblogic.j2ee.application.tmpDir" parameter accessible at the below Windows Regitry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hyperion Solutions\RaFramework0\HyS9RaFramework
For your reference, this temporary location points to the below location in my test EPM System 11.1.2.1 environment:
C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\RaFramework0\tmp
- Start the "Reporting and Analysis Framework web application" component.
- Clear the cache of the web browser,
- Lastly, please ensure that both locations contain the icon files (*.gif):
<ORACLE>\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\ReportingAnalysis\RAFrameworkWebapp\media\mt
<ORACLE>\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\ReportingAnalysis\RAFrameworkWebapp\media\mt_thumbnails

Due to not modifiable status two transaction could't be done in the PRD System.
This is IMG activity under the following.
1. OB52 :- Open and Close Posting periods (FA -> FA Global Setting -> Document ->Posting -> Open and Close Postinfg periods
2. OB08 :- Enter Foriegn exchange rate. (Gen Settings) Enter foriegn exchange rate
These transaction are to be executed regularly and directly in the ECC6.0 Production system is not possible due to non modifiable status.

How to restrict the user in MIRO for not modifying price

Hi All
My requirement is How to restrict the users in MIRO screen for not modifying Material Prices of only the for specific ROH types .
For example :
Valuation class             RM description
3021                             RM - A
3022                             RM - B
3024                             RM - C
when ever we procure the above Raw materials A,B and C and
the Quantity of each Raw material @ 10 units and value @ 1 INR for each unit
RM - A procured qty 10 @1 total price is INR 10
RM - B procured qty 10 @1 total price is INR 10
RM - C procured qty 10 @1 total price is INR 10
total price of PO is INR 30
when we received invoice material prices are assume it INR 1 is excess for each material.Now the invoice price for each RM has become INR 11.
in MIRO we want restrict the user to change the price from INR 10 to 11.
suggest the best possible ways to restrict in MIRO screen

You need to use SHD0 or userexit chnages, like always determine from customer master, if user changes, give message like not modifiable or ask abaper to make non modifable field

DOWN PAYMENT AMOUNT FIELD NEEDS TO BE NOT MODIFIABLE IN PAYMENT REQUEST

In SAP, when Down Payment is called through Payment Request, the "amount" field will be changeable mode.
My client requirement is that, the amount field should be in "not modifiable" status.
Is there anyway that we can do this...using EXIT or something....

system will not allow to change the Vendor line item.
F-47 Down pyamnet request 10000
f-48 you need to select the above request
and enter the 10000 in bank gl line.
you cannot change the vendor line while f-48.

Installing art when "Album Art Not Modifiable"

I was recently trying to drag and drop album artwork into the iTunes photo receptacle in the lower left hand corner and noticed that it read "Album Art Not Modifiable". Does that mean I can't paste anything there? There's no art at all currently, even when I ask iTunes to find the album art for that CD. If anyone knows of a way to override this, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

'Cause being new to this, I've only just added a few albums as .wav and succesfully downloaded album art, using the functionality within Itunes. And this should not have been possible?For instance Loretta Lynn "Van Lear Rose", Emmylou Harris "Stumble into grace" and Elvis Costello/Burt Bacharach "Painted from Memory" all worked just fine. But Itunes was not able to download album art for all my albums - Simply Red "Greatest Hits" from 1996 was one that did not work. So I browsed the internet and was able to find jpegs of this album art, which I know have stored locally. But how do I get that into Itunes?

Words simply can't describe what a kludge iTunes has become. Every time Apple fixes one problem, a dozen more pop up. It's like trying to hold a bunch of ping-pong balls under water simultaneously.
The immediate problem is that Lion with iTunes buggers the artwork. Some it loses, some it can't find, and some appears and disappears like the Flying Dutchman (look it up...).
The bigger issue is that so MUCH of iTunes is bad, in general. Apple trys to use iTunes as a Swiss Army knife, using it to synch iPhones, iPads, etc. The app has become so generic that it is actually good at nothing.
The interfrace is kludgy; moving the library from one location to another virtually guarantees a wasted day and usually lost art, music, or backups.
In general, Apple's hardware and software is relatively ergonomically designed. I-Tunes, however just plain SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!
