DTS Surround Sound not working after DTS Update...

I reset my brand new laptop to factory specs--then did the toshiba updates, then windows 8.1, then more toshiba updates which included a DTS update. PRIOR to the updates, DTS worked Perfectly. AFTER the updates, DTS Surround Sound Virtually Muted The Music Entirely. If I turn off Surround Sound, the other DTS parametes/selections Do Work. Nonetheless, I would Love to Have the Surround Sound back in operation. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
OH--and my Realtek HD audio manager in control panel has options not available
such as speaker configuration, and default devices.

I too have roblems with my DTS after updating to 8.1. After the latest update for the DTS there is at least he console there, to where before I had nothing. That was from the desktop assistant under the "Media and Entertainment". So now it looks as if every thing should be working, but the sound is horendous! With out the DTS's help/
I have the "Satellite C55-A-5300, PN PSCFEU-00MOOG. I just passed the 1 year ark since pprchasing this unit.
I have not had the DTS working at all for about 8 months.

LMic Jack not working after Driver Update, Console unavailable, can't install? I've had nothing but problems after downloading the latest updates via the auto-updater.
I'm currently using the Creative SB X-Fi Pro Series card. I've had it for close to 6 months and have not had any issues until I ran the auto-updater last night, and while it downloaded over 250Mb of updates, all of them failed to install as described below.
I'm running on Windows Vista Ultimate, 64-bit
My main issue is the fact that my microphone is no longer working. I've done a lot of searching and I think the problem has to do with flexijack not being a microphone jack, but instead is an 'in-line' jack. I can no longer find my audio control console, which allows me to switch between gaming and entertainment modes, ect. The solution I found on the KB says that you can switch the blue jack on the back of the card from an in-line jack to a mic jack within the Audio console. I tried downloading it, but while going through the install, I get an error saying the files could not be found and a prompt which asks for a disk or file location. The same thing pretty much happens with all of the items I attempted to download and install.
I was able to run console fine, as well as use my mic yesterday before I attempted any updates. I attempted the updates because since I've had the card, I've had issues where after I exit a game, all my sound will become crackly and static. Before, I would simply open up the console and switch back-and-forth from gaming to entertainment, which would fix the problem most of the time. If that didn't work, a restart would fix it, but now I've opened up a whole new set of issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I also want to say that the support tickets should not require a serial number to submit a new ticket. My product is registered, so I got rid of the box which contains all that information, leaving me at the mercy of these boards...

Hello all. Fisrt of all, this are my specs: Yoga 2 pro 13". WiFi card: Intel(R)Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260. I bought it from Best Buy on November 27, 2014. If you aquired your Yoga before this date, you may have the single band WiFi card. As many of you have experienced, I also had a bunch of issues with my WiFi connectivity and this is how I was able to solve it. At least it has been a couple of days that I haven't had any issues. The first symptom was the usual connection drops every X amount of time. For me it was about every 2 hours. I first unchecked the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option in the Power Management tab of device manager and disabled U-APSD support in the Advanced tab of device manager. This action did not solve the problem. I then downloaded and updated the driver from the Intel web site (http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect) and this seemed to solve the drops; however, a new problem arised: Everytime my Yoga would wake up from sleeping mode, all my wifi networks were gone and the adapter showed as disabled in Device Manager. I would have to anable it to have my networks back. It was a solution but a pain the butt to have to do this everytime. After hours of reading post after post in several forums, I read a repy from Lenovo asking to try leaving the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" CHECKED if you were using the latest version of the driver. I went back to device manager and checked it back and that seems to have solved the problem. So far I haven't had any drops and everytime my laptop comes back from sleeping mode the WFi connection is still there! Here is a recap of how everything ended up: -The driver version I installed is 17.1.0.19-The driver date is 7/21/2014-In device manager|Advanced, U-APSD support is Disbled.-In device manager|Power Management, "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked. !!! officially i hate creative to the what was supposed to be simple registration which in itself annoyed me to now the speakers i have been using for a longggg time for the past 4 days has been bothering me..
Using a Creative Soundblaster X-fi ?sound card with a 7. surround sound speaker set-up and windows vista ultimate (32bit) the sound refuses to come out of all the speakers during the channel test it sometimes picks up certain speakers but never all of them and the sound is pretty much coming out of the left speaker only i've tried uninstalling all the drivers installing every driver i can find together with the console launchers i've changed the config settings in windows itself which doesnt help uninstalled all codecs bought another x-fi card (i was getting frustrated) still nothing the only thing i havent done is re-install windows which i refuse to do because of some creative defect!
I hope someone has a solution or any advice would help i've also used dri've cleaner and sweeper to clear all data from the registry etc rebooted etc etc etc still no luck....
Sort it out creative!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

Did you always have the same problem or is it new? I always used to be able to get Facebook to work on wifi with no issues for months. I downloaded the new software update for Revolution, and all of a sudden it seems like they blocked the Facebook app somehow unless you're on 4G. It really sux because I can't get into my Zynga games either that are tied to FB! Wish someone at Verizon could be aware of this and fix the problem.
Also, interestingly, when I try to log into the Facebook site with the browser I am directed to an error page. The browser works fine for every other site though. Really seems like there was some kind of block instated that will no longer let you use Facebook on a wifi connection.

I'm having a similar issue. It appears to only impact Hotmail accounts. For me though, this happened without updating the OS. The email client is simply failing to connect to the Hotmail interface. Only two possibilities, either Microsoft changed something on the email gateway or Nokia changed something on their end. Either way, it's not working and has been out of commission for the past week. If this is how corporate friends get along, I'd hate to see what happens in a adversarial relationship.

I am running a (HP Pavilion dv7-6c60us Entertainment Notebook PC)
I had muted the sound and did a system upgrad prompted by my HP assistant after logging on. Now when I try to get sound nothing happens. So I went out to the support site and checked for driver updates and none were found. So I then went into my system bios and reset it as stated in a support for sound not working and still no sound. HOW DO I GET MY SOUND TO WORK AGAIN?

Sound not working after resuming on maverik

Sound stops working after resuming my Mbp. Reseting PRam solves this issue but its tempory. I have to restart my system everytime this issue occurs.
I have one more issue regarding sound, which might be just another bug.
When I plug my headphone, sound doesnt switch to head phone and I cant switch manually too from system preferences. To fix this issue, I have to close the lid and wait for a while for system to sleep and resume system. after resuming, Os starts detecting my headphone. strange!

For those of you reading this just thought that I would update you. After spending 90 minutes on the phone and resetting/restoring the phone twice, with two different level of tech support they have deemed this a hardware issue now. This phone worked perfectly fine before the ios 6.1.2 update that was done yesterday. Worked fine, played music, took calls, did all the sounds, then updated and now nothing!
Our family has 4 iphones, several ipods and 2 ipads. I am now left with a phone just out of warranty (by 2 mo) and no choice but to pay the $200 to apple to get another phone. Apparently this is a steal because a new 4s costs $600.! lol. I am greatly disappointed. I have been given the corporate phone number and assured that there would be someone in customer service to talk to, but there was not, no surprise to me. Anyone else have any suggestions?
