Dual 2.3 and 2.5gb ram not enough

I guess i need another couple gigs of ram. Clicking and dragging any of the sliders takes a couple seconds before the slider actually moves. Very annoying. I feel bad for anyone on slower machines! My dual 2.7 with 5 gigs of ram at the office seems to work fine.

Let me save you a little bit of trial and error -- I believe that initial chunk when first trying to move a slider is due to the work AP has to do to create a version (assuming that you are creating a version when an adjustment is done). Make sure you have the "Create new version when making adjustments" option in Preferences turned OFF. Manually create your versions when needed. Also, turn OFF the "New projects automatically generate previews" option. I'm not sure to what degree this helps, but Moki Mac recommended this to me, and the changes to both of those seemed to give my system some pep...I have 4GB RAM.
Back to the version creation -- I don't know what changes have gone in since, and I don't have any carnal knowledge about internal structures or needs, but about 8 months ago when I traced SQL operations taking place on a new version, there were so many, it defied imagination somewhat. I'm not second guessing the developers, but being a developer myself, I found myself wondering for a good while how such a load of operations could be indicative of something other than a non-optimal database structure. Again, not second-guessing the developers, they know their business. But I guess my conclusion was that there was probably good margin in there for improvement, and thus, reason to hope for continued performance improvements as new versions were released. I could be completely wrong, but that was my guess.

Yep, try to narrow down the problem. Check what plugin produces jitter, If you're using an external audio interface make sure everything is properly setted under audio-midi setup. Make sure everything is running at 16bit44.1khz and you're using your mac clock, not external one.
I am using mainstage with a much older mbp with 4gb ram and a core 2 duo, so it's not mainstage or your mac, it's something pertaining configuration.

As long as it meets the minimum technical specifications, although the more above the minimum you have, the better the experience.

It sounds unlikely of course. But from your question it's hard to tell what might have filled your HDD. Are you constantly on file sharing or has filled the drive with movies?
Best way to tell is to start checking what folders occupy space. "Get Info" for the HDD and its subfolders is a way to start checking where the data in question resides.
And as BGreg say, call Apple support is also a good way to begin with.

Not having enough storage in your iCloud account isn't caused by using your iCloud email account on your device. It may be caused by having lots of email in your account though.
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage to see what is taking up the space in your account.

Pictures, assuming they were taken with the device, can be copied off at any time. This has nothing to do with syncing.
If the pictures were instead synced to the device via iTunes, they are not the original images. Instead, they are optimized copies of the originals for display on the iPhone. There is software that can extract them, google it.
Where is the backup of the computer? And before you ask, the iPhone, like all iDevices, is not and has never been a backup device.

Hold the Home and the lock button for about 10 seconds (till the phone closes) then release home button.It should reboot and work fine after.

5GB free, not enough storage error, and can't manage storage

i having this problem:
my icloud show me that i have 5gb free from 5gb, but when i try to backup my iphone it says that i have not enough storage, even so i backup only my contacts.

Try to hard reset by pressing two buttons - home and power at the top. Once restarts go to manage storage. If you ready to buy extra storage buy, if not use that article to turn off some of the things, starting with camera roll backup. Understand - that while it will probably have enough capacity after that you really want to backup pictures and videos, take it as band aid not solution.

Installed os x 10.6.8 and office 2008 excel not enough memory on start

I just installed OS 10.6.8 and when I try to run Office 2008 Excel I get a "Not Enough Memory" pop-up and it will not open any files. Any ideas on how to resolve this? If not how do I revert back to original operation system?

How much RAM is installed in your computer? You need a minimum of 1 GB for Snow Leopard and at least 2 GBs or more for any practical uses.
To revert to your previous OS you need to boot from that installer disc and do an Erase and Instsll. Be sure to back up your files first because the procedure will erase the hard drive.

PlugIn and Swingall for applets not enough

I've seen a lot of messages for applets that won't work with the sun plugin. I have the plugin installed; I have also added swingall.jar to my applet directory and set the ARCHIVE value to it, and can see it being processed. I still get 'class not found' with the following example. A clear answer to how to solve this would be helpful to a lot of people. (And yes, I've run the HTML converter.)
Jbuilder 4.0 automatically adds action listeners for buttons, the browser cannot find the class for this:
jButton2.addActionListener(new java.awt.event.ActionListener() {
This line is listed with java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError in the java plugin console.
The code runs fine in the applet viewer.
What else has to be included for this applet to run with the plugin?

hello; i just erased the post i started with, because my status has changed. i searched in the firefox folder and found the uninstall folder, and this time, uninstall worked perfectly, and it gave me an option to save my personal info! YAY! i installed ff 3.6.24 without a hitch; FF is Baaaaaack!
However, I did get a window saying my computer doesn't have enough resources for the latest version of 8, but that I should install the latest compatible version of firefox; which version would that be, I wonder? It takes me to the same page with the ff 3.6.24 downloads. I already have that now.
I am going to mark this as solved; thank you cor-el for helping me with this problem and sticking with me as i whined and moaned, and tried to get the courage to "just do it!"

8gb Ram & "Not enough memory"??!!

Frustrated in Berlin. Getting this infamous warning message in GB 11. Only one track put down, of midi input keyboard. After a couple takes of no more than 10 measures, up pops this warning box and then occasionally the track just disappears. Watching Activity Monitor, can't see any big spikes going on. Happens with and without background apps running.
This machine should be powerful enough to handle what I'm doing. I've deleted plist and .cs in the pref folder. Nothing is helping.

do you have a console log running? Have a look if some application is logging error messages. Maybe an app you were running previously has a memory leak or another problem. When I had the same problem it helped to restart the system and then to run GB without any other application launched at the time.

To be able to download a film onto your iPad you need enough space on your iPad : Settings > General > About > Available - the film's description page should say how large it is, but some HD films are 5.5 gig +
The iCloud storage that you've bought give you extra space for your iCloud backups, it won't give you extra space for downloading.

RAM not fully used, 5GB, only 4 used

i got a Mac Pro 4x2.66GHz on OS X 14.11 and have *5GB Ram installed*... my mac came equipped with 1GB und i upgraded another 4GB (2x2GB) on the second riser slot...
the RAM is detected correctly (reported 5gb) but using activitiymonitor or menumeters i can see that NEVER under any circumstances more than 4096kb are used and the 1gb is always left spare
anyone knows how this happens?

Because in the Mac Pro RAM must be installed in pairs.
