Dual band wifi dongle 600 conection issues

I have recently upgraded to Homehub 4 and also got a wifi dual band dongle 600. I am running windows 8.1. When i plug in the dongle it is not recognised by the computer. I have added the drivers manually but still nothing. I cannot find it in devices even though the green power light is on. What am I doing wrong?

I would suggest deleting the device and drivers reboot the PC and start again

I can see the homehub 4 and 5 with optional dual-band wifi dongles.
What's the difference between the £9 dongle shown under the homehub 4 page and the £19 dongle shown under the homehub 5 page?
Also, if one has Bt Infinity but a homehub 4 is the £9 dongle the one to go for?
    Thanks.

    Go to Solution.

The £9 dondle works on the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on b/g/n frequencies where as the £19 works on the 2.4Ghz b/g/n and 5GHz on the new AC frequencies which can give faster speeds.
If you have the HH4, which does not transmit AC, go for the £9 one.

  • BT Dual-Band WiFi Extender 600 loses connection

Hello all, have one of these and have had this problem with both HHB 4 and HHB 5.
The Extender is plugged in left powered on and shows a connection range with a just right green light.
Each morning, I'll attempt some early morning browsing and I'll have no Internet. From my iPad I can:
    - Access the Extender menu system which shows I'm connected to it.
    - Access BThomehub.home which shows I can connect to it.
If I turn off the Extender I'll be connected to the Internet straight away once I'm in range of the Hub.
If I turn the Extender back on it will start working too, I'll be able to browse the web.
    I have:
    - looked for a firmware upgrade for the Extender and found nothing.
    - set the HHB a 5 IPA lease DHCP lease time to 7 days - no change.
    Anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks
    Richard

  • What dual band wifi adapter for HP ENVY x360 15-u205na

What dual band wifi adapter is compabible with the HP ENVY x360 15-u205na please.  It is somewhat disappointing that a current laptop is still only single band 2.4Ghz, if I had known before purchasing the HP it would certainly have changed my purchase decision.

    Hi,
This is an Intel based laptop so you can use Intel 6235 or 7260AC I guess. Go for the 6235. It's a decent wireless card..

  • Can the imac core duo support dual band wifi?

I have a core duo 2GHz iMac intel. Can the imac core duo support dual band wifi?

Do you mean will your iMac work with a router that supports dual band? If  this is correct, the answer is yes. If that isn't what you intended please look at the system specification for your machine. You can find that by clicking Support - Tech Specs

  • Dual band wifi support

Which Mac minis support dual band wifi?

    Further investigation:
802.11n spec does not require the 50Ghz radio and some of the early "n" implementations were not dual band.  However, I looked in my "about this Mac" system report (late '09 mini)  and it showed a number of channels supported above the first 11 which are in the 20 Ghz range.  So I am sure it supports the 50Gz radio and is dual band. Maybe all Mac "n" implementations are dual band!

    Hi,
Firstly, the second manual on the following list will help you many things: including RAM upgrade:
        http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&lc=en&product=6761918
For the wireless card, very hard to tell since HP only give you few choices on page #7.

  • Supported Dual Band Wifi Card for s230u Twist?

I just bought the s230u Twist and realized that the Intel 2230 wifi card is *not* dual band (2.4 GHz only).  I also realize that the BIOS has a whitelist for mini-pci cards and need to know if there are any dual band cards that are supported.  Thanks.

    Hey there guys,
Jccheng, the ThinkPad a/b/g/n Wireless & Bluetooth 4.0 (2x2 ABGN & BT 4.0) is a dual band adapter that is compatible and comes as upgrade with the ThinkPad Twist s230u. The 802.11a only runs on a 5Ghz Frequency, and the 802.11n can run on either. I have listed all the adapter options with part numbers below:
    04W3763 Cybertan BCM43228+BCM20702 abgn WLAN & BT 4.0 Combo (ThinkPad a/b/g/n)
    04W3764 Liteon BCM43228+BCM20702 abgn WLAN & BT 4.0 Combo (ThinkPad a/b/g/n)
    04W3765 Intel 2x2 11bgn + BT4.0 Combo Jackson Peak1 (Centrino 2230)
As an option, you can call the Lenovo Contact Center, 1-800-426-7378, for a Parts Only order. Hope this helps!

  • Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro connecting to 5ghz dual band wifi?

I just found something strange. Under Windows, my lenovo yoga 2 pro does not see my 5ghz wifi connection (from my dual band router). But I just booted under Linux Mint, and was able to connect to the 5ghz connection without issues. Any idea why this would be?

Dual Band: 2.4GHz and 5GHz at the same time:
Your MBP can connect to both.
If the Bands each have a different Name, you can choose by hand, if not it connects to the strongest signal.
Click the wireless icon and you see the name of the network you are connected to, If you see the other band name you can choose that.
Click the wireless icon in the menubar while hoding the Alt(option) key: it gives the specififcs of the band you are connected to.

  • Qosmio x770-136 Dual band wifi 2.4 and 5ghz - how to switch between them?

    Hi Guys,
getting a new router netgear dual band N900, and it supports multi 2.4-5ghz wifi,
my question is how to i set my qosmio up at 5ghz?
    thanks for any replies

    Hi
Found this details on Intel page:
    http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/wireless-products/wifi-link-5100-brief.html
It seems that Intel 5100 WLan card supports 802.11 A/B/G and N so it will operates at 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz.
The Wlan card is also available in miniPCIe format so it should be possible to insert this into the WLan slot on the mobo.but question is if the BIOS would supports this
To be honest I dont know there are no info about that and according to some users here in the forum, it could be possible that notebook would not power up using new WLan card.

  • Dual Band WiFi

I have another message open as I have access problems to the internet.
I thought I may get round this by using a wifi dongle.
Just purchaesd the BT version but unfortunately the installation disk opens in a small window and I cannot see the accept button on the terms and conditions and ther fore cannot load the drivers.
Just plugging in does not work as it says it needs drivers.
    Any way round this.
    Many Thanks

By early I mean it was installed whn it first came out. Has been getting all the updates so it is current.
I have run the software form that link and the window opens to small to see the accept button which is the sam as the install disk. The window cannot be enlarged
Sounds like your display drivers have something wrong with them, as I've tried it on all 5 of my computers without any probelms.
Are you sure you've not got the enlargement above 100% in the display settings? This can effect the size of text in dialog boxes

  • Cisco RV220W dual band wifi?

    Hello,
    Cisco RV220W works in 2.4GHz or 5GHz.
There is any plan to support these bands simultaneously?
    Regards,
    Viorel

The simultaneous dual-band feature will have to be found on a new product.
FCC will not allow adding this capability using firmware upgrade.
