Dual Cable No Longer Charging

This morning my Thunderbolt Display cable will no longer charge my Macbook Air. No light comes on, and on screen it says "not charging". It will charge with the regular charger.
The the Thunderbolt cable has always worked fine, for the couble of years I've had it. The only change I can think that could have caused this is I let my battery run down last night. I have tried the Thunderbolt cable again, after charging for a few minutes with the regular cable, no change.

Because once it has charged enough to be powered on as soon as you turn it on it says battery is at 20% and will not charge anymore after that, it just runs for about 5-10 minutes before the battery dies again. The battery cycles discharge/recharge daily and its not on the charger at full charge for more than a couple hours and is never totally dead for more than a couple of hours.

HT1476 my iPhone 4 will no longer charge. It is also not recognised in iTunes. There seems to be a problem with the connector slot. I've tried other cables and other computers/plugs but the connection is not being made. Any suggestions?

Mophie iPhone 5 Case - iPhone will no longer charge using the apple cable.

In July, I purchased a Mophie Case for my iPhone 5. Everything was going great until I realized a few months later that my iPhone would no longer charge using my apple cable. It would only charge using my mophie. Turns out my husband, who also has a mophie case, was experiencing the same issue, my case is the mophie Juice Pack Air and my husbands is the mophie Juice Pack Helium Battery Case. Later I was telling this to a friend at work and she mentioned having the exact same this happen to her phone after using a mophie.
I contacted mophie, not to try and get anything, just to let them know and see if they had any ideas.... well they were not receptive at all. They said, "I do not think that the juice packs could have done that to your phones. I would need some sort of objective evidence." I said that multiple customers experience is evidence, to which they said "I need objective evidence. Simply because a person thinks they know the cause, doesn't mean they do. If there was an Apple engineer saying that it was the cause...heresay does not constitute solid evidence."
So yeah... apparently a customer calling to let them know their experience is meaningless to them. So I am turning to the apple community. Has anyone ever experienced this with there mophie. Any ideas why this may have happened? We have only used the cord that came with the case and apple cables on our phones.
Any info you have would be appreciated.

Mophie was not denying that you had a problem charging your phone. What they were telling you was that what you don't have is proof that the mophie case caused the problem. It might be, it might not be. As the saying goes, correlation does not prove causality. What troubleshooting steps have you taken?
I used first the mophie Helium and then a mophie SpacePak on my 5S without it imparing my ability to charge it with my Apple cables or other lightning cables (Belkin car charger). And I've known many other people who haven't had a problem.

Iphone 5 no longer charges with lightning cable

Just something weird just happened with my iphone, can longer charger my iphone, the cable does keeps popping out, doesn go all the way in, cannot find any cosmetic damage with the iphone or cable, off to the apple store. Go to the Music section of your Library (very top-left corner) and see if your songs are there. The "Purchased" playlist may have been deleted or gotten corrupted, but if that happens it's not a big deal because your music should still be in your main Music Library.
If your music is NOT in the Music section of your Library, then go to the iTunes Store homepage and find the Quick Links list on the right side. At the top of that list, click Purchased and you can redownload all of your previous content that you might have lost.

Longer charger cable for IPhone 4.

Does anybody have any suggestions where a longer charger cable than the 3ft that come with the phone (6-10 ft charger would be good) could be purchased?

I just connect my standard 3 foot cable that came with the iPad into the power block and plug the power block into an 8 foot standard white household extension cord. I have done this since day one and it works great.

Wow .... what a great idea! Oh wait a second here ..... I have been using an extension cord since day one with both of my iPads and have been "pooh-poohed" for suggesting the very same thing to other users.
I suspect that using an extension cord is not super-uber-techno chic enough for the younger crowd.

My 4th generation iPod Touch will no longer charge from a wall socket, only my computer. I tried buying a new cable and USB charging socket (and I bought one made by Apple), but that did not fix the problem. I restored it from iTunes, hoping that would work as well, but that failed. I am at my wit's end. Can anybody here help me? I've bought new equipment, tried rebooting, restoring, etc. but nothing so far has proven successful. If anyone's got a solution, please help!

All I can suggest is the standared fixes. It seems very strange
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. Bring the cable and Apple wall charger too.

IPhone 3G no longer charges from car stereo

Hello all,
I can no longer charge my iPhone 3g from my car stereo since updating to version 2.1.
I have a Panasonic CQ-RX400U with a USB connector on the front. Prior to the update I was able to connect and charge the phone and play the iPod from the stereo using the USB to iPod/iPhone cable. There was a compatibility warning on the iPhone when I did this, but it worked. After the update, the phone makes the initial charging sound, but never gets to the iPod, then repeatedly tries to connect without success and continuing t make the charging chirp sound.
Just wondering if anyone experienced similar issues post 2.1 update.
I'm going to ask Panasonic if the may have an update available as well, to correct the problem.

I'm afraid that the link is somewhat irrelevant to my problem.
The problem is, that nothing happens whatsoever, when I connect my iphone to my computer. No charge, no nothing.
I connected my fiances iphone to my computer and it charged, and itunes recognized it without any problem.
However, I did try what the link suggested and nothing worked

iPad 3rd gen no longer charges unless shut off and not recognized by iTunes. Done 2 resets, used original charger and cable and bought brand new charger and cable from Apple store. Nothing works. This started yapping after the iOS 7.1.1 update.

Common troubleshooting is to try a different USB port and to give your ipad a reset. (hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot)
You can also try on a different computer to see if it's the ipad or the computer.
When you charge, do you try to charge plugged into the wall? that's the best way to charge.
If you go through all that and it's still not working hten it may be time to make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out

Ipod will no longer charge on docking station or car dock

My ipod will no longer charge while it is playing on my docking station or on the car dock. The only way I can charge now is with the genuine charger which means I can only listen for a couple of hours and then have to charge up again. Any ideas?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
