Dual DVDRW Drive burning on both at the same time

In the mac pro that would have 2 dvdrw drives in it, is it possible to burn the same data to each drive at the same time?
within the os it self or with 3rd part software

Definitely with 3rd party software, unsure about Disc Utility / iTunes / other.
BUT, the optical drives are on a PATA bus (Master / Slave) so they share the same bandwidth through the ATA-133 controller. Low speed burning would be a doddle. High speed burning may cause issues - I know high speed burning for drives like these requires the ATA-133 bus (over the ATA-100 bus) even when you just burn using one drive (see specs for Pioneer drives on their website), so two drives at high speed would strain to get data fast enough. You can but try, and while burning two DVDs at 16x in parallel may be too much, burning at 8x in parallel may be OK, and that is still fast enough for most of us.
Just as a note, I tried, (using Toast) a few months ago, to burn a large number of CDs and DVDs. I found it took me longer to prep the burn, document what I had burned and label the disks than the actual burn took - so although I could burn in parallel I didn't gain any time advantage over burning a single disc at a time.

Your "Firefox personal data", like bookmarks, are stored in your Profile folder in Firefox. See this support article about how to recover that data from that old hard drive and transfer it your your new Profile.

Two new external FW drives won't mount at the same time

I've just purchased two 250Gb external FW hard drives for my eMac. I already have a 60Gb external FW hard drive.
I also purchased a 6-port Belkin FW hub to hook them all up.
I've been having problems getting the three drives to mount simultaneously.
Initially I thought the problem was with the hub, or the FW cables, but the cables are fine, and if I take the hub out of the equation, and just try to mount two drives using the eMac's two FW ports, I still have problems.
Either of the two new 250Gb drives will mount fine with the old 60Gb drive, but if I try to mount the two 250Gb drives simultaneously, only one will mount (which ever I plugged in first).
The only way to get both 250Gb drives mounted at the same time is to use FW for one and USB for the other (way too slow).
The 250Gb drives are Hitachi Deskstars in enclosures with the Oxford chipset.
I've searched the internet for answers, but haven't found much, except, maybe, for this comment:
'While this cannot solve all FireWire issues, I've spent a lot of time debugging multiple FireWire enclosures on the same computer. Apparently there is a unique hardware ID (similar to a MAC address in an Ethernet card) that some manufacturers are not making unique. Any time you have two or more drives with the same ID, you'll have problems.'

FWIW, I've tried to mount both drives on a friend's iBook, and the problem remains the same: it's one drive, or the other - both drives will not mount simultaneously.
I updated to 10.3.9, but that hasn't fixed anything.

How can I record a microphone and software instrument at the same time in Garageband 10.0.1? It seems I can record one or the other, but not both at the same time?

I am trying to record a vocal mic and a keyboard (using a software instrument) at the same time using Garageband 10.0.1. It seems that I can't record the mic input and the software instrument at the same time. I can record the mic input by itself, and I can record the software instrument by itself (if I don't have a mic input track created), but I can't record them together.
It seems like this should be an obvious thing to be able to do, but I can't figure out how to make it work.
Can someone help?

Yes if the messages are sent to an ID which is in the receive section of Settings > Messages > Send and Receive on both devices.

Uninstalled everything PA, also uninstalled mangler which was the only thing that depended on PA. It didn't work anyway.
No pulseaudio --kill command so I couldn't run.
Checked systemd journal and there is no mention of PA this time.
Checked top, and grepped ps aux and there is no PA there either.
I also rebooted the machine completely just to make sure. However VLC and HTML5 have the same incompatibilities.

But the video and audio did work until I ran some HTML5 video, after which the audio worked, and then I opened it again and it didn't work...

Can you have Firefox and IE browsers both at the same time and if so, do you have the choice of choosing one for a default browser?

I am using IE Explorer now presently. I want to be able to download and install the SEO Blogger tool from Wordtracker but it says that I have to have Firefox as the browser. Since I have everything else already set up under IE, I don't want to have to change all that just so I can download one program.

You can have both browsers installed and running at the same time. You can also choose what one to have as the default browser.

Coupled contacts - change both at the same time.

I have contacts on my iPhone that are related to my Exchange e-mail accounts. They synchronize just fine.
I also have, mostly the same, contacts on my iPhone, imported from Outlook. They just synchronize one way (FROM outlook TO iphone, not the other way around). By the way, if anybody knows how to sync both ways, I'd be very happy to hear that.
Similar contacts are coupled (I don't know the exact English phrase, in Dutch it's "gebundeld"), so you don't see any duplicates in the Contacts list.
Unfortunately, when I change a "coupled contact", it just changes one of the two contacts that are coupled.
I would love to be able to change both contacts at the same time.
Can this be done? If not, could this be made possible? Please?

I'm trying to create an effect, which I'm sure can be done, which at various points of a 3 minute movie, i can overlay still photos where you can see the photo overplayed onto the movie at the same time. What technique is used?

2 burners + toast = burning 2 dvds at the same time?

hi there,
i have a mdd g4 dually 1.25. i have 1 burner in 1 drive.
if i add another burner to the 2nd drive, can i burn 2 dvds at once? also, can i do this with toast? i could always burn 1 build with disk utility i suppose?
i run a video transfer biz so this would help with burn times.

The cable from the hard drives connects to a faster controller than the cable from the optical drives, so it can handle more megabytes per second. If you are reading two files at once from one drive, the heads in the drive have to keep moving back and forth between the two files. This slows the read since no data is being read while the heads are moving. If the files are on two drives, each drive has its heads in the right position, so reads are faster. The cable from the hard drives is fast enough to handle the data from two drives at once.
I always burn at 1x speed so that won't be an issue
and i do have 4 internal HDs so having the files on

Although possibly not related to your problem, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. On top of this, it has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and usability. As for your problem, make sure your instructing Firefox to open the link in a new tab. For example, middle-clicking (pressing the mouse wheel or the central button of the mouse) the link will open it in a new tab.
If that doesn't help, it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. Is the iCloud Drive storage space independent of the original iCloud? Do they share space? Can you use them both at the same time?

Does Apple provide 5GB storage with both iCloud and iCloud Drive for a total of 10GB? Or are they shared for a total of 5GB? I am running low on space in my original iCloud (4.7GB used), and would like to move my photos to iCloud drive and stop them from saving in original iCloud, but want to continue to use iCloud for all my other data backups/settings/etc. Thanks!

iCloud Drive is simply a newer version of iCloud (newer set of features) for handling available documents and allowing third party apps access.. Otherwise it is still part of the you overall iCloud service. Unless you choose to pay for additional storage, your total iCloud space is 5 GB.
