Dual e-mail accounts showing separately

I am checking out something for one of my users here. She has a Blackberry Curve & currently has it set to get her personal e-mail. She would like to add her work account, but not have them all together. Is it possible to view both accounts separately on the Blackberry or does she not have that option?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The user can only separate out the BES work email by using the third party software from Empower BES Inbox.

  • Mail Account shows unread mail but I can't find it

In the process of adding some new mail accounts due to a merger of my cable carrier the "help" line told me to delete any existing mail accounts. I followed his advice and clicked "delete" on one account but it did not remove the folder from my list of accounts (below the inbox). Now my email sent to that address continues to go into that account but it does not get into my Inbox and if I click on the account no mail shows in the mail screen. My Mail icon at the bottom of the screen shows 9 new emails but I can't find them. They are all in the "cancelled" account.
Does anyone know what to do in order to get those emails placed in my Inbox?

First off, how important are these files? If you absolutely need these files and you don't have a backup you will need a recovery program to ensure that you recover the files. If you try and recreate your mail account and keep using the computer you may erase the possibility of recovering these files. Normally when you delete the account the POP folder is deleted. If you have a backup I would recommend you getting the files there.
    You can try the following:
Your mail may still be there somewhere in /Users/USERNAME/Library/Mail/
Inside this folder there will be a Mailboxes folder and a POP-something folder if you use pop. There may also be a cancelled folder here.
You will need to recreate your mail account first. You will need the POP server and the SMTP server address if you use POP. After you have re-created your mailbox you can try to import your old mail from one of the folders mentioned. /Users/USERNAME/Library/Mail/cancelled is maybe where you will need to import from. USERNAME is your logon username.

  • Dual .mac mail accounts

ok, so I switched the name on one of my .Mac mail accounts and now it doesn't show the separate folder tree in the list for it....but it used to....does anyone have any suggestions? I searched this forum first in case, but didn't find anything....thanks in advance to any who can help!

    It fixed itself, no idea

  • TS3899 My mail account shows 1340 unread emails, yet the inbox is empty with no subfolders.

My "Mail" app shows that I have 1340 unread emails in red.  When I go to the inbox, it says 1340 unread emails, yet there is none in the inbox.  I have checked my mail provider adn there is no emails there either.

First if you have multiple inboxes please make sure that you're looking at the all inboxes category. If this is correct then try removing the account and adding it back. If no joy
    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

  • I do not know how to remove my g-mail account information from Thunderbird so I do not keep getting e-mails from my g-mail account showing up in Thunderbird.

I need help knowing which pulldown, and which choice to select, in order to remove the account info for my g-mail account which keeps forwarding all my g-mail e-mails to Thunderbird even after I have deleted all the unwanted e-mails in g-mail.

Gmail is not your main mail account? If you have mail accounts you no longer want Thunderbird to check, you can delete them in the Account Settings dialog (there's a button at the bottom left). Either:
    * 3-bar menu button > Options > Account Settings
    * tap the Alt key > Tools menu > Account Settings
If Gmail is set up as an IMAP account (this is indicated on the Server Settings section) then all of the folders for the account should be removed from Thunderbird. They should, however, remain on the server. If in doubt, someone probably could describe how best to make a backup.
    Does that make sense?

  • Mail account shows up in Account Settings, but not Sidebar after setting Global Inbox

Multiple Catch-22's here. I tried to change all of my accounts to a Global Inbox. I thought that I had moved all the mail from my Verizon inbox before I changed it to go to Global, but some of the sub-folders did not transfer either to the Global Inbox or the Email Backup folder that I created. Now the Verizon account does not show up on the start page sidebar, although it does show up on the Account Settings popup. It's in the Preferences file (I think - instructions were for Window7/Vista and I'm running Win8).
Mail sent to the Verizon mailbox is now properly stored in the Global Inbox (twice!) and I had archived all the 2014 and earlier mail, so all that I can't find is about half my 2014 Verizon messages. A test message sent to the new Comcast inbox shows up in BOTH Local Inbox and the Comcast Inbox.
Since I can't see the Verizon account on the main screen, I can't right-click on it and select Repair Inbox, as recommended elsewhere. Since it already exists on Account Settings, I can't just recreate the account.
Any ideas on how to Find the Phantom Verizon Account will be greatly appreciated.

Your not going to see the verizon account listed anywhere but in account settings as it not has no folders.
You will however find a folder on your hard disk in your profile folder.
Go to Help menu (alt+H) and select troubleshooting information
Click on the show folder button.
open the mail folder in the windows explorer program that opened.
Now open the one named for your Verizon server.
In that folder you will see files named for example inbox and inbox.msf.
The files with no file extensions are your mail. with filenames matching their original folder name in Thunderbird. There will be sub folders for each sub folder you have in Thunderbird with the respective name and an sdb extension. open those sdb folders to access the mail in those sub folders.
Now you have exact on disk locations for the mail, use the import export tools Chist1 mentioned to point to those locations to import mail.

  • Mac Mail accounts showing "offline"

    Hi:
I am using MacMail (6.6 1510) on 10.8.5. I have two gmail acounts, a yahoo, and two non-web based emails (one is POP, one is IMAP). For several days now, all of the accounts, except the POP (it works fine) are not allowing me to send email. It says the SMTP server is offline. I have trolled these boards for hours looking for solutions.
    I have:
Deleted the gmails and yahoo accounts and re-added. That worked for a couple hours.
    Shut off my VPN
Tried every port number suggested in the boards on this topic
Disabled each account and tried the above
    Disabled Icloud
My mail works fine with my phone and my Ipad, with the same settings.
I am not a tech person. I have no tech support and no Genius bar nearby. I have tried everything. I just need my mail to work. My business depends on it. Can anyone help? I have tried switching to Airmail, but I can't live without Mac Mail's rules (and I uninstalled Airmail, in case that's a cause) .
    Thanks,
    Christy

The outgoing servers are from your local ISP, follow the link in teh message for troubleshooting. It's possible your ISP is experiencing problems or it is also possible you may need to restart your computer.

  • Lumia 630 Dual: E-Mail Account settings locked / g...

I use my own servers (owncloud and baikal-server) for syncing contacts and dates. In settings "email + accounts" i switched of calendar and contacts sync for testing purposes (=install of a new server). Now these settings are not accessible. They are statet "syncing"  and greyed out, so i can`t change anything with these accounts. A "delete" for these accounts ins't also accessible.
Soft reset (on/off + volume down) or switching off/on didn't change this behavoir.
Any idea (beside a full reset), how to catche these settings? Th@nx!

    Hi dary_pikins,
    Welcome to our community.
We are here to help. The error code 80070490 appears when trying to download an app from Store and is caused by incomplete information in your Microsoft (MS) account profile. See: FAQ - What is error code 80070490 and how do I resolve it? for more info. The link is intended for the US. We're still checking what the error code 80860010 is about. However, if you want to remove the MS account on your phone due to a misspelt username, you will need to reset your phone to factory settings. You can do that by going to Settings> about. Be mindful that this will delete any content and settings you've added to your phone including music, videos, pictures, apps, games, documents, and accounts.
We hope to hear from you soon.

  • Why do I show both the iCloud and .mac  mail accounts on my phone

I have an icloud account and both the .mac and icloud mail account show up on my iphone.  Is this necessary?  If I disable mail on the icloud page of my phone, will the mail be accessable in icloud but not show as a seperate account on my phone?

You can't merge the backups, you'll have to delete the backup of your old phone.  If it says it's currently in use when you try, that will normally clear up on its own but may take 3-5 days to do so.  Give it a few days and try deleting the old backup again.
In the meantime, you can create a manual backup of your new phone on your computer by connecting it to your computer, opening iTunes, clicking on the name of your phone in iTuens, going to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and clicking Back Up Now.  Also go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.  Then you'll be safe until you can start backup up to iCloud again.

  • Can't delete or edit a Mail account that is unable to connect and it keeps notifying me

Can't delete or edit a Mail account that is unable to connect and it keeps notifying me and asking for password. Macbook Pro with Yosemite. If I highlight the account and go to Mailboxes, "Edit smart mailbox" is greyed out. Delete the mailbox is an option, but the mailbox just doesn't go away and no error message displayed. Tried Mail/Preferences/Accounts, highlighting account and using minus sign, it tells me the account is shared by other applications and gives me an option to go to Internet Accounts. At Internet Accounts, the only mail account showing is iCloud. Meanwhile, the pesky Mail icon is jumping around the bottom of my screen.
    Can anyone help?

Did you ever find a fix for this? Mine is doing exactly the same thing, even with 2.01 - I hoped that might fix it. I'd rather not have to reset and erase the whole phone.

  • Icloud and several e-mail accounts

My spouse and I want to have both our e-mail accounts show on our ipad and our iphone.  We just converted from mobile me (where it worked) to icloud (where it doesn't).  Any suggestions?

I don't know what an MM account is.  I have a comcast account, my spouse has one at the university of washington, and we have an icloud account.  I'm starting to think that we should be adding seperate e-mail accounts on the ipad and iphone.  Our two unique ones as well as the icloud account.  Is that the answer?
You certainly have a distinguished name.

  • Help! Local server accounts not showing up in Mail accounts?

Hello. I need some guidence in setting up the Mail server. I have just Mail, AFP, and DNS running, and only 2 user accounts (admin and one other) These accounts are under the local server. Neither of these accounts show up under mail? Workgroup manager says something like "you are working in a directory node that is not visable to the newtork." How do I create Mail accounts???

You can run Work Group Manager remotely or on the server itself - that part doesn't matter. (Wherever you run WGM it will connect to the server itself and make changes there.)
What does matter is that the accounts are created in WGM. Server users accounts are created in WGM. Server administrator accounts are created in the traditional System Preferences > Accounts > Add Account.... etc.
Anyone you want to use file sharing, mail etc needs to be created via the WGM interface or you won't be able to assign the kinds or permissions and settings they need to access services like file sharing or mail.
    Is that clear?

  • How to not show both mail accounts in mail app

My wife and I share a Macbook Pro, and both have our mail accounts set up using the Mail.app.
When I start the Mail.app, I can see and access both mail accounts even though we have seperate inboxes.  Is there a way to separate these so I don't see her mail and she doesn't see mine?
There is not user log in required on the Macbook.  Do I need to create separate user accounts to have the Mail.app only show me my mail?
    Ray

The correct way to do this is to create a separate account for each of you and disable automatic login when prompted. Under Accounts I would also activate Fast User Switching if the two of you use it at the same time. Then each of you will have your own user directory and this will segregate all of your user data into two separate user folders and you can act separately.
If it is just a convenience thing then download another email program, like Thunderbird, and each of you can simply use a separate program and neither will be bothered with the others email.
Also unchecking the "enable this account" in the Mail > Account preferences will cause an account to "disappear" from the Inbox view until the box is rechecked. But this is only a solution if one of you uses the account occasionally like on long weekends or something.
I think the separate accounts option is what you want from your description but there a few less drastic options.

  • TS3276 Mail account set up. Can not receive mail-Everything is green in Connection doctor but when checking activity it shows stop signs.  Was able to receive mail until last week  then all of a sudden stopped receiving mail but no changes were made.

My mail account has been set up and working to send and receive mail for several months.  All of a sudden I can not receive mail.  The connection doctor shows all green lights.  No changes have been made and nothing has been changed on preferences on IMAP and SMTP.  I can send mail.  My other accounts all send and receive mail.  When you click on activity the list shows stop signs. All accounts show that they are online.

    UPDATE:
I deleted all the messages off the server of the offending email address and everything works fine now.
