Dual HD5770 Display Order

Hi All. I have a new MacPro with dual HD5770's. I can't quite figure out how it determines the screen order. I have a combination of 4 TV monitors, one VGA and one DVI monitor hooked up to this machine. I always want the DVI monitor to be the primary, but it seems to be selecting the bottom card right hand Mini display port first. Even if I change it to the DVI monitor, shutdown and restart, it still comes back with the Mini Display port. Is there a way to force it to always use the same monitor setup? I don't care about the actual physical arrangement, but I need monitor 1, to always be 1, 2 as 2 and so forth.
I've made sure that all screens are on before booting up to ensure that all are active, but it doesn't seem to help all that much.
Also as a side note, has the Identify button gone missing from the Dispalys System Preferences? I couldn't find it. The only way I could identify the screens was by clicking on the monitor and having the red box come up around it. Am I just having a Mac vs Window moment, or is that feature actually gone?

Maybe when they finish up on the "other" OS they'll get around to some of the quarks with the new ATI's. I think what's needed are some drivers.
+PS: no harm but you put this in "Previous" (2008 and earlier), whereas I think one category would be better, but with more topics (memory, hard drives, PCIe storage, graphics each having their own).+

Dual Thunderbolt Display Order

I have a MBP i7 with two external thunderbolt displays. The displays are, of course, daisy-chained. Every time I plug them in to the MBP, the order is different. It forgets what the previous order was, and puts the menu bar on the wrong one, and moving their relative location, causing me to re-shuffle the displays in the prefpane. Is there any way to make the preference stick?

I called apple regarding this problem in mid january, they told me that this is a know problem.
Also USB-Devices attached to the display get a new ID every time you re-attach the display (parallels asks me if I want to assign SnapScan #827 to Mac or Windows...).
I just don't get why it is that complicated to re-detect the displays correctly and fix this.

Native white point for Mac on Dual 23" Displays

I just tried yet again to calibrate my Dual 23" displays and get rid of a yellow cast that showed up from calibration ****.
The monitors are pretty close in color and I am using the Eye One Match Display calibrator. This unit is a couple years old (When I check it tells me I am using the latest version- 3.62) but I believe it to be functioning OK.
The read out I get as a summery of the calibration process is : Target>N.W.P versus Current>2300K.
So in order to figure out if I am close , I am asking what should be the actual value in color temperature of "Native White Point" on this hardware (G5,x800xt, 23"Cinema Display)

Anyone using dual 30in displays?

getting ready to order my quad and would like to know what cards people are using for their dual 30 displays?

This is from Apple's Expansion Slots page:

To support up to eight 20-inch or 23-inch Apple Cinema Displays, install up to three additional NVIDIA GeForce 6600 graphics cards."
I remember that when the quad was first announced, this page said that you could have two 7800 cards in a computer. Maybe they decided there just isn't enough power. The 7800 already requires another power connector.
For what your doing, you can probably keep it safe and stay with 6600's or a 7800 and 6600. In Motion, the 7800 will give you much better rendering capabilities than the 6600.

Custom MBean - Attribute Display Order & Documentation

I've implemented custom security providers for one of our customers. All Providers are working very well. However I've problems about displaying attributes of my MBeans in WLS console. Attributes of my custom mbean definitions are displayed in console in unsorted manner. They're not sorted as I put them in mbean definition file and as I know there is also no display order attribute specified in "commo.dtd". I also checked [MBean Definition|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/web.1111/e13718/mdf_ref.htm#i1035144] . Is there a way to specify display order of managed bean attributes that placed in mbean definition file ?
My second question is about generating description to display WLS console. I first tried to use "Description" attribute of MBeanAttribute element. It didn't worked. So I checked out out-of-the-box security providers to how they've done this before. I created "-doc.xml" files that uses "commodoc.dtd" schema and my attribute element's "Description" attributes as "See ...-doc.xml" in mbean definition file. It also didn't worked. I need to find a way to put my descriptions in WLS console . Any help would be appreciated.
I'm including sample mbean definition, mbean documentation definition and my mbean generation ant comments. By the way I'm trying all this by using WLS 10.3.2 environment with Sun JDK 1.6.0.18.

Yes the description attribute doesnt work anymore the way it used to work in prev versions.
On further research it was found that the Mbean required for generating description was missing.
A bug was filed with the engineering the engineering team. I am not sure what happend after that.
Let me try to find out.
If the mean while if any one of u guys have a support contract, you can go ahead and open a case with Oracle.
As for the order on display in the console, it shows in the order in which its defined in the MDF, m not sure why its behaving differently in your case.

How can I re-arranging the Email display order?

I have multiple E-mail accounts which all display nicely under MAIL / MAILBOXES. I'd like to re-arrange their display order in "Inboxes" and "Accounts" which both scroll within the same screen. Is there any way to do this other than delete them all and re-enter in the order I'd like to see them?

Marketing Attribute Display Order on Account Overview Page (Web Client)

Hi All,
I am using CRM 7.0 EhP 1 and I have encountered a item I need to address in regard to the display of a Marketing Attribute set on the Account Overview page (BP_HEAD/BPHEADOverview) on the Web Client.
The component in question on the page is BP_DATA/MarketingAttributesEOVP.
Once the Attribute set is selected on this component, I require that the Atributes display in the order which there are maintained in the Attribute Set Template Profile in transaction CRMD_PROF_TEMPL.
However, currently they are displaying alphabetically by attribute description on the Web Client as default.
Any idea how to achieve the requirement above as standard if possible?

We experienced the exact same issue.
We raised this with SAP OSS. There is no standard mechanism for altering the display order unfortunately.
The only options are custom are we were not prepared to make this sort of adjustment to the system.

Hello. Perhaps this is because you are trying to arrange the order of many VPN services, since only one VPN service can be selected at once in System Preferences. In my original post, I did not mean that; I meant that I wanted to arrange the order of VPN configurations within a VPN service. In this screenshot, I have one VPN service only:

Furthermore, it was the order of VPN configurations that I wanted to change, not the order of VPN services. If you are trying to change the order of VPN services, I do not have a solution.

Dual Thunderbolt Displays in Windows 7? Retina Macbook?

I understand you cannot daisy chain thunderbolt displays in Windows 7 to have dual monitors? Is there another way to run Dual monitors? I have a mid 2012 Macbook pro with on Thunderbolt display. I see the Retina Macbook has two thunderbolt ports. If I got one of those, could use dual Thunderbolt displays then in Windows 7, and then just hook each monitor up to it's own Thunderbolt port instead of daisy chaining?

No, you still cannot drive 2 Thunderbolt Displays in Windows with the MBP Retina.
However, you can use 1 Thunderbolt display (for USB hub and LAN connection), and then use 1 Cinema display as the 2nd screen. You can chain the USB ports, but not the displays, so you do have 1 extra connection to the MBP, but that's fine.
Windows 7 will drive this setup without problems.

Can I use dual 24" displays as an extended desktop with my MacBook?

I have a 2.4 GHz MacBook I purchased this summer. I was considering using it for my desktop needs, but I need to have a two-monitor extended desktop. I don't particularly care for the thought of using the notebook's monitor in addition to the 24" display. I'd rather have dual 24" displays, but in talking with the "chat" line on the store website, they said this is impossible to have an extended desktop this way. I'm stubborn and can't help but think that is not impossible with the appropriate work-around.
Suggestions? Thoughts?

The only option for dual external displays on a Mac laptop is the Matrox DualHead2Go. But with a MacBook, you could only get a maximum of 1024x768 on the two montors, a completely waste of a 24" monitor IMO.

Where is line item display order maintianed in document?

I am creating a Sales Order using DIAPI.
It has 5 line items. The LineNum value is sequencial starting from 0.
If I open the order created using DIAPI in SBO UI and insert in the second row the LineNum sequence is broken.This item is shown with the last line number but in the UI i can see it as second item.
Where is this the display order maintained? In which column in RDR1 table?

Dimension values display order and record details

Hi All,
I have explicitly ordered my dimension values to be in a logical order instead of alphabetical. Ex: Small, Medium, Large. This works great in the navigation tree but when I view a specific record and it has those 3 dimvals they are listed in alphabetical order.
Is there a when doing a record query to ask Endeca to respect the same display order as in the nav query?

We are used to add two dummy records in each dimension.
We add the following data:
We use '-1' (surr-key) for Invalids and '-2' for Unknown.
Easy way to populate these dimensions is to add a script together with all objects when you release new functionality. Beware you use the same descriptions.
Even better is to think of a more general solution (more easy to maintain) and store these values in a support table. In such a table you will be able to add more columns to get more details per row. Use this reference table when you load youre dimension. Also you will find the opportunity to add more error handling cases. Especially when you add the dimension in this support table.

I am concerned with the "PDF content clips correctly according to HTML display order" part. I would like to know what it exactly means. That is I want to be sure that I could put, for example, and image over the PDF doc, or any other HTML elements without them being graphically overridden by the PDF view. Thanks in advance.

My reading of the quoted bits is: Inside the PDF, layer ordering rules should work correctly. But the PDF itself will float above any other content in AIR.
