Dual monitors: window size too large when opens in smaller monitor.

I use Windows 7 with two monitors. When I open Firefox directly from my desktop, it opens on the larger monitor, and the window size is just fine. But if I click a link from an email, Firefox opens in the second, smaller monitor, and the window is too large for that screen.
Please help me figure out how to either (a) make Firefox open with a smaller window; or (b) make Firefox open on the primary, larger monitor.

Slide size too large when played via .htm file or in ELM

I have several modules that play perfectly fine from a computer or over the internet if you use the .swf file to launch them. The size of the slide automatically resizes to fit the launched browser window. However, if I try to open the file through the .htm file (as apparently our ELM does) the size of the slides is too large to fit within the browser window. Resizing the window doesn't help. With any module sized greater than 800 x 600, you cannot view the entire slide in the browser window. The bottom and right sides of the slide are cut completely off. Is there a fix for this, short of rescaling and redoing the entire module? The modules have been uploaded to our ELM, but the player controls are completely cut off by the restricted window size so you cannot advance the training.

I agree with BaseballBirch. The window size should be controllable in your Learning Management System or Content Management System (whatever your ELM is).
Most LMSs have the option to launch your content as a sub window of their player window, which has navigation links to enable users to launch each separate module. This option may mean that the user's overall screen resolution is insufficient to accommodate the entire interface. But LMSs usually also have another option that allows your Captivate content to be launched in a separate window. If so, this is usually the better way to go as it gives you more control over the size of the window.
One thing that LMSs differ in however is the way they calculate the size of this window. For some, you just enter the size of your Captivate movie stage and the LMS wraps the player window around these dimensions. In other LMSs you need to do some trial and error to work out what figures to enter into the LMS controls for height and width of the window because they include browser "chrome" and the dimensions of the window title bar and status bar. So you may have to add 50 or more pixels to height and 10 or more pixels to width to avoid cropping off your content.
You will need to use the HTM to launch the content. LInking to the SWF may cause some functionality in Captivate content to fail.

InDesign forgets window size and position when opening

PC with Windows 7, CS 2014.
I set up Illustrator so that it does not open full screen (I have a 27" monitor) so that I can have panels permanently open around the edges. Close Illustrator and re-open it and it remembers the last set window position.
InDesign remembers the position of the open panels but opens the main window full screen every time, and it's really annoying having to resize and reposition the main window every time I load InDesign.
I upgraded from an earlier version of Adobe CS and that older version of InDesign remembered the window size and position. Why did this change?
Can this be fixed please?

From the InDesign top menu have you tried going to Window/Application Frame to put the application in it's own resizable frame? That will hold the window to the same size each time you open an InDesign file.

FF window too large when using extended desktop. Must reboot to return to correct size when I return it to the main screen.

I watch on-line videos on my HDTV by using "extended desktop" and sliding the FF window to the HDTV. The window becomes too large to access the controls to size it, or the top bar, to move it.
I can move FF window back to my pc by minimizing it on the pc toolbar, but when I "restore" it, it restores to the HDTV. I can not move it back to the pc, I also cannot re-size the screen

Hello. Thank you all for giving my some advise but I do not understand any of it.
I'm a bit of a technophobe when it comes to computers.
It is a Sony Vaio and there is a model number on the base of the laptop PCG-71911M. I have tried to look in the Control Panel to see if I can find its specifications but these days the system is too complicated for me to understand.
I did try seek out the information on the internet but just get a French site. Doh!!!
I use Nikon View NX software when I am viewing my images and again if I go to full screen for viewing the image the taskbar 'occludes' the little arrows I use to view the next image. When this happens I just click the little box in the far right edge of the taskbar and ViewNX 'disappears'. When I go back in and click on 'show desktop' it clears the taskbar. I can then easily access the buttons to move forward. Also when I am using PSE8 I have the same problem with accessing the buttons after I have completed my raw adjustments in the ACR window but it allows me to press the buttons with great difficulty if I can 'catch' the edge of the button and the ACR goes into PSE8 properly. I'm sorry that I have not explained myself well. At the present it looks as if the ACR window is too 'large' for the PSC5 window it 'sits upon'. It seems that it does not want to 'sit over' the taskbar. I have eventually fathomed that I can use Cntl and O to open the image (Open Image button) but this is not the least bit satisfactory. I don't know how I am going to access the other options eg 'done' and 'cancel' and 'save image'.

Having the same issue here....a quick fix is to just minimize the window, and immediately maximize it. It will now fit the screen. Trouble is, after you close it, you'll have to do it again when you re-start itunes. The good news is it takes all of about 2 seconds. Apple should fix this. Should.

No, cache parameters are not set, they are default. So it is strange.

There is a requirement of high stack size in the application but when I try to set the stack size > 128m , I get the below error

Could not create the Java virtual machine.
Is there a upper limit of 128m on stack size. The Jrockit version is 64 bit.

eg:
O/S 32-bit Default 64-bit Default

Linux 128 kB 1 mB
Please check your stack size you mentioned it is 128m please change to KB it will work.

How to change starting size on screen when opening jpg

When our photographer browses his folders with pictures and double clicks upon one of them (jpg-files always), his Photoshop (he uses CS3 and Windows NT) always opens up the file only shoving it as 16,3% size (or such, I can't remember the exact number)
As a result the picture hardly fills 1/4 or 1/8 of the available space in the Photoshop screen, and he always has to click the picture larger before being able to work in it.
He has recently got a new - and more powerful - computer, and he did not have the same problem when using the old computer, here his files always opened to the maximum possible size.
As he regards me as something of a computer wizard he has turned to me for help, but I am not able to find any place to specify the settings for this.
I hope somebody can help me, and please excuse my bad English, I am Danish...

I use a couple of actions to automatically size the image when opening a document. One for Fit to Screen and one for Actual Pixels (100%). I then use the Script Events Manager in the Scripts Menu to call which ever one I want to use.

ACROBAT XI Pro -EDIT TOOL SET - POP-UP WINDOW IS TOO LARGE

I've been experiencing very nagging problem since installing recent Acrobat Xi Pro uodate (on windows 7 system):
Specifically - I cannot edit/change the TOOL SET to include needed TOOLS (i.e., that were all previously in my Tool set) as the EDIT TOOL SET WINDOW (i.e., pop-up
window) is TOO LARGE and does not allow scrolling/ or moving down to SAVE any tool sets and or tool set changes. Very frustrating as all attempts (and recommendations from reviews/support) for decreasing the size of EDIT TOOL SET WINDOW (popup) in order to save (i.e. include ANY) tools have been unsuccessful. So for past week I've been unable to include/use any TOOLS for working in (i.e., editing/commenting etc) pdf's. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Would greatly appreciate any / all steps & recommendations for fixing.

First, make sure you are on the latest update 11.0.09. Help->check for updates should get you there.
If check for updates says that you have the latest, see if the setting: Edit->Settings->General->Basic Tools->Scale for screen resolution and try various options (you'll have to restart Acrobat with each selection)

What can I do for "File size too large"?

Spent 9 hrs creating a slideshow that I saved. Closed PSE 11 and reopened and can no longer find the slideshow. When I select Find, Media type, Project, nothing appears, but there is a gray box in my grid that says "File size too large". Is this my slideshow and if so how can I recover it? I am sick as this was a large time investment for my daughter's wedding which is very soon! Please help if you can.

I don't know anything about slide shows but if a picture is too large this is just a warning message, if I click a pic with this message it does show up. Have you tried clicking the thumbnail?

Help! VerifyError: stack size too large??

I seem to have a class file with which the class file verifier has a complaint:

Can anybody point me towards documentation about what the algorithm is or should be to calculate the correct stack size. Or documentation on the message?
I assume the meaning of the message is that the operand stack size is larger than used by the code for the static method main. However, I haven't a clue as to the algorithm I should verify the size against.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am running a modified Class file and have read the jvm spec. I was hoping somebody would have a suggestion as to what the error message actually means...
For example does this mean that the declared size of the operand stack is greater than that required by the code? Or perhaps that the declared size is too large for the code?
The actual method is quite small (on the order of 500 instructions).
I know that the jvm has a requirment that the operand stack have the same size along all control paths (loops, gotos, etc) to a specific instruction. I don't know what error the verifyer would give if this was the problem.
Is there any documentation anywhere the verifier's error messages?

MP3 file size too large ?

I purchased the C3 to replace my older 6300 a couple of days ago.
It seems that my C3 problem discussed in another topic is almost similar.
I placed a 1Gb memory card and works just fine. I can approach and play all MP3 files on it.
But the option to use an MP3 as a ringtone is greyed out.
Tried to get it to work through personalizing profiles gives me the error message : file size too large ! Everty time and no matter which MP3 I choose. The file size is 4.3 Mb.
I tried editing the file, downsizing it to 770 Kb, but same error message occurs : too large.
Any other suggestions before I decide to bring this phone back ?

If you have a Magic Mouse do Control+stroke downwards on the mouse.
Check System Preferences>Displays is set to the correct resolution
Check System references>Accesability and make sure Zoom isn't turned on.
