Dual reporting in HCM

Hi sap pulies,
i have a requiremet in sap hr like a person reporting to two Dept heads.. let me explain the scenario a marketing executive reporting to marketing manager and the same time he is reporting to admin dept head for leave and kinda admin related things.through reporting structure i can depict the marketing executive and marketing  manager reporting.. but how i can depict marketing executive to admin head at the same time?? can i incorporate this with EP? pls anybody can clarify .....

A088  is dotted line relatiionship  as it is used in order to defind the relationship of employee is haveing dual reporting i think you have to go with matrix sturcture (iam not sure )
Please check in the IDES

    I thought that, you need the view of two dimensional report. To view the Dotted line Reporting, its A088. Sorry for misunderstanding.

  • Dual Reporting IFRS and US GAAP

    anyone here who have implemented dual reporting US GAAP and IFRS at the same time? Hope you could share on how to implement this. Is implementing parallel ledgers enough?

    We just implemented IFRS accounting without effecting GAAP accounting.  No parallel ledgers were required.  Our strategy was to start with GAAP chart of accounts and identify all accounts as follows:
    o   Common u2013 Both U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards are the same.  No adjustments to U.S GAAP
         accounting are necessary to meet IFRS.
    o   Re-class u2013 U.S. GAAP costs are classified differently under IFRS.  Costs must be u201Cmovedu201D to
        the proper accounting classification in the IFRS financial statements.
    o   Elimination u2013 U.S. GAAP costs are not applicable in IFRS reporting and are eliminated from the
         IFRS financial statements.
    o   Valuation u2013 U.S. GAAP Costs are applicable in IFRS but must be revalued from a U.S. GAAP basis
         to IFRS basis in the IFRS financial statements.
    We then created new accounts preceded with an u2018Iu2019 concatenated with the original account.  Any adjustment required to meet IFRS is booked to the u2018Iu2019 accounts only.  Our GAAP financial statements include only the original accounts (i.e. no accounts that begins with u2019Iu2019).  Our IFRS statements include all the GAAP accounts plus the IFRS accounts.
    The naming convention was carried through to all modules in SAP.   In CO, we also had a naming convention to segregate IFRS related objects.
    Works slick and the external orders are happy.

    Hi All,
    we are planning to do HCM reporting in BW and i need the information for the below mentioned points and also if any documents or links  are there please do send it to me and your help is highly awarded.
    ECC 6.0 compatibility with BW 3.0B
    Ø       Is BW 3.0B compatible with ECC 6.0, the platform used for HCM?
    Ø       If so, what extractors, objects, etc. are available to support reporting in BW 3.0B?
    Ø       What would the sizing requirements be for the current box to support existing BW functionality and new functionality for HCM reporting?
    §                                                         BW version compatibility with ECC 6.0
    Ø                                                       If 3.0B is not compatible with ECC 6.0, what is the next version of BW needed to support HCM reporting (3.5 or 2004s)?
    Ø                                                       What extractors, objects, etc. are available to support reporting in the recommended version?
    Ø                                                       What would the sizing requirements be to support the upgrade from BW 3.0B to either 3.5 or 2004s…taking into consideration the existing functionality in BW 3.0B and the new functionality for HCM reporting?

  • Leave request mail trigers to whom in dual reporting

    Hi All
    When an employee reports 2 managers from 2 different departments, if he applies leave that mail will trigers to whom.
    eg: a position has A002 relationship with one manager
                                 A088 (dotted line)relationship with one manager
    if he applies leave that mail trigers to A002 relationship manager
    or A088  relationship manager

    it depends upon the Percentage of the Position say if he is working in X department 75% and 50 % than the mail trigger to the manager where the percetage of Occupacy is more

    Hi Ashwini,
    For Indian Payroll standard reports: Reports related to Income Tax you can go to
    SAP Easy Access  Menu-> Human Resources ->Payroll ->Asia/Pacific -> India -> Subsequent Activities -> Annual -> Legal Reports -> Income Tax
    Here you can get standard reports for PF, Pension and other statutory reports.

  • Very Urgent! SAP Access via HCM Reports in Enterprise Portal 6.0

    Hi SAP Experts,
    it is very urgent.
    When our Users execute Reports via HCM Reports in Enterprise Portal 6.0 and exit them via the Menu Button (Menu->List->Exit) in the Report result they can access SAP Backend via Easy Access.
    My Question: Could we find out which Users and at what time they had accessed the SAP Backend via this gap?

  • HCM Reporting

    Hi SAP Experts,
    we use HCM Reports in Enterprise Portal. For the Reports we used until now the functionality of this tool was sufficient but now we have some new requirements.
    We want to execute a report via HCM Reporting tool with a fix variant - with the standard settings we first get the selection view - this step should be prevented.
    The behavior of the reports should be different in different cases. So Report A should show the selection views - Report B should give back the result list immediately .
    So does anybody have a approaches or a solution?

    Hi,
    Design the views for your requirement using  either the Webdynrpo for Java or ABAP.
    Desgin the first view with for the selection views by using the Radio buttons UI elemnts and design the 2nd view in the same componenet by displaying that report in th table UI element.
    Now map these Ivoew of this WD componenet to the EP Iview.

  • IDVD6 FAST on G5 Dual 2.0GHz and VERY Slow on G5 Quad 2.5GHz

    I just finished a side-by-side test of iDVD6 on a 2.0 GHz Dual and a 2.5GHz Quad and I came up with some VERY disturbing results: The Dual was almost 2x faster encoding the same project as the Quad!
    How is this even close to being possible?!
    I have done the same test on 3 projects, and it is 100% consistent.
    I have absolutely nothing else running on the Quad, but I can have photoshop 7 up and editing photos, downloading for usenet, QuickBooks 2006, and FCP5 open and it does not seem to affect the encoding speed on the Dual more that a couple minutes!
    Both the Quad and Dual are pretty much stock except for additional HDDs and some extra Crucial memory.

    Sorry, I forgot to mention this on my original post, but, while the Dual reported 100% activity on both processors while processing the iDVD project, the Quad was bouncing between 15-25% activity, occasionally dropping to almost 0% activity! Considering that the Quad was only running at most 25%, it finished the project incredibly fast. If the Dual was running at 25%, it would have been close to 8 hours to finish a 2 hour project.
    ASIDE: On the Dual, in iDVD 6 I find that encoding of the menus and movie content consistent with Compressor: about 1.5 hours per every hour of video.
    On the Quad, Compressor encodes an hour of video in less the 40 minutes, but iDVD is taking about 2 hours per hour of video content.
    A considerable degradation in performance!
    Although, I do have the Final Cut Studio, I do like some of the themes in iDVD, especially iDVD6. Unfortunately, because DVDSP4 does not support importing of iDVD6 projects, I have to use iDVD6 to create the dvds (images, never direct to disc). I suppose I could always rip apart a theme and backward engineer it for DVDSP faster that it currently takes the Quad to encode a single iDVD6 DVD.
    BTW: I do not have any 3rd party iLife themes or add-ons added to the Quad other than a couple Jam Packs, but on the dual, I have some www.dvdthemepak.com themes installed and it has not affected the Duals performance.
    Note: as of yet, I have not done a speed test with the iDVD 5 or previous themes. It may be my next task after I finish up some other projects. Still, using older themes should not affect the encoding of the main video content. But, who knows.. mmm.

    Can anyone please answer me for the following scenario??
    I have 3 org. units O1, O2 and O3.
    In O1, there is a position like S1 (CEO).
    In O2, there is a position like S2 (MD)
    In O3, there are positions like S3 (Sr. Mgr), S4 (Jr. Mgr) and S5 (Executive).
    S3 should be reported to S1.
    My question is, is it possible in simple maintenanace method??

  • MSS reports configuration

    Hi all,
    I am following the MSS configuration document to set up the reports. One of the step is described as below in the document:
    You must also configure certain parameters in the Portal Content Directory (PCD). The parameters relevant for reporting include:
    ●        scenario
    Define the scenario that creates a list of available reports. In the standard delivery, the standard scenario is RPT0. The value of the scenario parameter is the MDT scenario. If you want to use the standard scenario, set the parameter scenario=RPT0.
    ●        viewgroup
    Parameter viewgroup defines the Object and Data Provider (OADP) view group. The view group contains at least one view ID. View IDs determine the list of Organizational Management objects such as employees and organizational units.
    My problem is I can not find the parameter either in individual iView or anywhere in portal, can anyone tell me where I can find the iView parameters listed above and change the value to my own customized scenario?

    Currently we are bulding a MSS scneario which contains the iView sap.com/mssrpt/Reporting for HCM (MDT) reporting and multiple HCM ERP 6.0 backends where the reports should be executed. We have provided the iView in the application parameter with the new JCO connections parameters (like sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData:001 etc.) This part works fine. We have the right MDT scenario on the assigned ERP backend and the org. structure and the people on the assigned ERP backend system. But the selected report will be always executed on the wrong system - means on the system which is behind the system standard system alias SAP_R3_Human Resources. Is there some customizing table where the ALIAS could be stored - for the LPA-Reporting iView via the Launchpad there is the table FPB_LP6_R_MDT_C but this table is obviously not processed with the iView mssrpt/Reporting.

    You would not find a Standard Report in HCM to remove the lock indicator from Infotypes. So that option would not work.
    But here is something which you can try. It should be a Custom Report which just uses HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION to change the indicator for all employees.
