Dual Sim Activation

Hi there HP Support Forum
I'm using Slate 7 Voice Tab. It's dual sim. I wanna activate One Sim Card for texting and calling. Everytime I call the device asks me SIM 1 OR Sim 2. I'm fed up. Is there any solution ? Any App on Google Play Store that can Fix this Problem ?

Hey , Welcome to the HP forums. In Settings you should have SIM Management where you can turn SIM cards on and off. You should also see a default section that lets you set the default SIM for voice calls, video calls, messaging, and data. I assume that based on what you're saying is happening that the calls are set to always ask. Simply change this to the SIM you wish to handle calls and it should no longer ask you which SIM to use. Thanks.

    Hi all,
I´m trying to setup a dual sim 3G WAN connection and i have the following question.
I have created the profile 1 for slot 0 and profile 2 for slot 1.
My question is related to the chat-script.
I have setup the connection using only one sim, but now i have to use both sim slots for failover.
    my chat script is --> chat-script hspa "" "AT!SCACT=1,1" TIMEOUT 60 "OK"
    My question is :
To use the dual sim with 2 profiles how my chat-script will be ?
The below chat script will work with the dual sim active with both profiles ?

  • IPhone 4S iOS 5.0.1 Dual Sim failure

    Hello,
First of all I want to clarify what I mean by Dual Sim. I am using the iPhone with this SIM from the first 2G model, and it was working perfectly.
It is one sim with two phone numbers (one forwards the calls to the other). This options is offered by the Romanian carrier Vodafone for business clients.
I am not talking about two phisical sim cards.
Starting yesterday evening after upgrading to iOS 5.0.1 on my iPhone 4S (bought in Germany) I can't really use the phone anymore, I hardly have any signal and nobody can call me on both numbers.
I changed the sim with a new one from Vodafone but had no luck.
The sim is working anyway perfectly on other iPhone models (3g, 3gs, 4) with a lower iOS version than 5.0.1.
I really hope Apple will issue an update as soon as possible because right now I have to go back to an older model in order to use my phone.
Any help and/or feedback would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,
I do have a similar problem. I also use a dual sim that works on iPhone4 and iPhone 3GS perfectly. I obtain the dual SIM service from the Spanish carrier Movistar.
If I go to Settings > General > Phone > SIM Applications > Dual, I am able to see wich line is active, but I can not change from one to another. If I try to change the line, the phone loses its network service and I have to switch it off and on again to recover the network service and being able to talk, text and navigate.
With 3GS and 4 I could perfectly change from one number to the other one (Before I had a Nokia N97 and it also worked perfectly). With my brand new 4S (iOS 5.0) I do have to switch the phone off and on again in order to change to the line I want to use.
Movistar Spain has recognized there is an issue with iPhone 4S and dual microsim cards. They say  they are waiting for Apple to approve some kind of new version (I guess they talk about a new iOS version but I'm not sure).
I know there is more people at Spain using this service with Movistar and they are becoming really angry (using 4S with iOS 5.0 and 5.0.1), because this issue was reported more than a month ago. It's really frustrating having paid for such an expensive phone and suffering this kind of problems...
I hope Apple will give us a solution really soon.
    Regards.

  • Regarding Dual Sim Mobile Launch

I want to know when Nokia launch dual sim support phones in which simultaneously both sims are active.........& I want to give Nokia a suggestion that plz launch dual sim mobiles with different range......e.g
    from 2000-3500 Indian Rs.
    From 4000-6000 " " ".
Plz provide me the info.when Nokia is deciding to launch dual sim mobiles....

This question pops up a lot. I doubt that a dual-sim Nokia phone is a possibility in the near future. Also, you will not be getting much info on when this possibility will occur, if at all.
I suggest you read the answers given for this exact same question raised by someone else:
    /discussions/board/message?board.id=phones&message.id=56406&query.id=215734#M56406
I'd pay particular attention to shuntfield and mccbleue's opinions on whether a dual-sim Nokia phone will be a possibility or not.
While it's not an impossible hope, the chances are very slim that this will occur any time soon.

  • Dual sim router

Our 819 4G routers have dual sim cards, but the units don't seem to always failover to the 2nd sim once the data allowance on the first is used.
I am after a script to failover to the alternative sim if a ping times out for 5 minutes.
So if the unit is currently running on sim0 it will fail to sim1 or vise versa, or if the unit is already on sim1 to fail to sim0
I cant work out the commands to run to find out the current sim and to start an if command
expected replies from command : show cellular 0  security

     action 1.1 else
action 1.2 cli command "cellular 0 lte sim activate slot 0"

    Hello Kuat,
You should only have one chat script with no profile defined.
    Example:
    chat-script gsm "" "AT!SCACT=1" TIMEOUT 60 "OK"
    instead this,
    chat-script gsm "" "AT!SCACT=1,4" TIMEOUT 60 "OK"
    chat-script gsm "" "AT!SCACT=1,5" TIMEOUT 60 "OK"
Then you should specify on controller cellular 0, what profile should be used for each sim:
    controller Cellular 0
gsm sim profile 4 slot 1
gsm sim profile 5 slot 0
Now you sould be able to use both profiles depending on what SIM is active.
    Hope that helps,

  • S60 dual sim function

Hi All, I would like to ask you an S60 dual sim mobile related question. If I use the internet with SIM 1 what happens if someone calls SIM 2?  Many thanks

@Thank you JameZ! According to this article there might be issues: https://www.gogi.in/difference-dual-active-dual-standby.html "Another issue with dual standby phones that support 3G is that, when the 3G / 2G network is used the other SIM becomes inactive. Usually you will not notice this issue with normal usage, but try downloading a big file or watch a streaming YouTube video, the other SIM will be unreachable." As far as the calling service is concerned in dual standby if a person is using SIM 1 and another person is calling on SIM 2 they will hear the message “not reachable, try again later. I think this is clear and I'm not sure if this is the case when I browse the web (SIM1) and someone calling me on the other sim (SIM2). I plan to be online all the time with SIM1 and of course I would like to receive calls from SIM 2.

  • Dual-SIM awareness into Connections logic [N8 with...

Would it be possible to get into some future update some kind of awareness of dual-SIM's?
Users like me with dual sim dont have data connectivity enabled on both sides. This means that when i'm out of WLAN reach my phone may suddenly start to repeatedly try to connect via 3G when the connection is in the default auto-connecting group along with the WLANs. To avoid the battery drainage i now moved the 3G to a manually activated group so the automatics wont think my 3G should be available also when it isn't! I can think of two ways -- either stop trying autoconnect after one failure (until SIMM side switched) or let use specify for which SIM side autoconnect may happen and for which not!
Also, often one sees 3G establishing even if WLAN is already connected (or at least connecting)!
And cant you somehow make ALL applications able to use all connections -- now there are apps that only knows 3G/GSM and, if lucky, the option Ask always.
It would also be great if all widgets would believe when i say i want Widgets offline. Now there seems to be always something, maybe java ones, using it (and the connections dialog doesnt give more than "weblets"!

The big improvement is to run the session off the PowerMac, use the PB as a node. As far as whether you are throwing money out the window... I can't answer. If you want OS 9, you'll need this - if you don't a newer Mac would be a better option, most likely. FWIW, my primary setup is a DP 1.25 PM G4 - with a C2D as a node. The PM allows you to pull tons of tracks.

  • Microsoft dual SIM phone network issues

Hi - I recently bought Microsoft 535 dual SIM. I have two SIM's in the phone. Till now I have been unsuccessful in getting both SIM's work together. If one SIM has network the other SIM wouldn't. The way I get a particular SIM to get network connection is
by selecting it as the SIM for data connection in mobile+SIM settings. While the other SIM shows "active" it says no network available. The moment I switch the selection in "SIM for data connection" to the 2nd SIM it gains network connection
and the 1st one goes to "no network found" status!!!
Appreciate any help on this. thanks for your time and attention.
    Prasad

After writing the post above I did another experiment with the phone.
Took it apart to see if I can notice something obvious on the PCB - noting there - all is firmly attached and well soldered.  Used a magnifying glass with high magnification to verify that there are no cracks in the solder where RJ-45 jack attaches
the to the PCB.  Put it back together - plugged in the network cable.  Phone boots, asks me to sign in - as I start the process and begin handling the phone I get disconnected from the network.
The error message that the phone shows:
"The Network cable was not detected. Please check that your cable is connected to the network port and that you have a network connection."
In this state the lights on the network port are off - they are not blinking.  So the PoE is delivered but the interface is down.  Looking at the port status on the switch shows that  PoE is "delivering" but the link status is "down".
All you have to do is firmly press the network cable back into the phone and it starts working.  Go figure what's at play.

  • Nokia Dual Sim system

    hi,
looking to exchange my 2 2730 Classic phones for 1 Nokia 206 Dual SIM. I've tried to find answers on how dual sim system works (all I got was few words on Easy Swap).
Can someone explain briefly how does the system of 2 SIMs work in this phone? eg. are both active at all times?
example: will I be reachable on both numbers at the same time and then when someone calls me on one number will that suspend the second number during the duration of call?
Or if I'm surfing the web using mobile internet on one SIM, would I be able to receive phone call to the secondary SIM? (with the internet being cut off for the time being of course?
    thanks

206 is dual sim with dual standby, it works just fine even when you use internet. Yes for all your questions.
    In my opinion,
I think your idea of selling two 2730 3G phones for single 206 is not a good idea.
Checkout asha dual sim full touch, they do have easy swap dual sim feature with that there will be no need of turning off phone to change sim.

  • Is it possible to use a single iPhone with two contact numbers via dual sim or an app?

Is it possible to use a single iPhone with two contact numbers via dual sim or an app?
This would be a useful feature for personal and company numbers but using one mobile, rather than carrying two devices or diverting calls.

Then go ahead and try it.  You'll find it's probably a load of crap.
You want 2 numbers, then use Google Voice or TalkaTone
Those are US based only Apps or numbers so no good. I won't be wasting money by just trying something either, especially because using a dual sim would mean purchasing another sim card on either pay as you go or monthly contact.

  • HP slate 6 voice tab dual sim (HSTNH-B19C) factory image needed

    Hi,
I bought HP slate 6 voice tab dual sim (HSTNH-B19C) from Karachi 6 months back. Since then it was working fine on jellybean 4.2.2 until i got a system update Message from Hp. So i updated it with kitkat 4.4.2 successfully.
Now the problem is that most of the 3rd party applications doesn't support it. The updated software is working fine but i want to revert back to the jellybean 4.2.2 that originally came with the tablet.
If anyone knows from where can i get the factory image than please share a link.
If anyone have a same model with backup image of original firmware then please contact me on my cell no. [edited Cell Number by Moderator]
    Thankyou.

    Hey @Paracha ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're looking to downgrade back to JellyBean on your HP Slate 6 VoiceTab.
The factory image files are hosted on the HP website for your product. The model you have posted is actually the regulatory information for the battery and not the tablets model. If you can provide me with the exact model I may be able to offer a link to the factory image.
For information on finding your model number please see this guide: Locating the HP Slate 6 VoiceTab and Slate 7 VoiceTab model number.
If you would like the file faster you can go to HP - Drivers & Downloads and enter the model number. Once entered you will find the factory image listed under the Drivers section for your device. Keep in mind that typically the Android OS will fault when trying to downgrade and often rooting the device or using third party apps/software is needed to do this which HP cannot provide support for.
    Thanks!
