Ducking not working

I have a song that runs over some crowd scenes and every now and then I want to be able to lower the volume of the song and raise the vocals from the videoclip. In the old Imovie you could slide your soundtracks volume up and down within each clip. I cant seem to figure out how to do that in the new imovie. I cant even get the "ducking" to work at all. Do I need to go back to the old Imovie? Help!!

Ducking not working in imovie

Hi... running the lastest version of imovie. All up to date.
Ducking does not work when selecting on a video clip. i.e. I want the background music to fade and keep audio on clip up.
I have tried with several different songs, close and restarted imovie, restarted computer. Nothing works. I have no transitions or voice overs. Just a clip with a song in background.
Any help is appreciated.

Ducking not working properly

I have a track that I am trying to add additional voice work to. All the voice work I added when I originally created the track duck in front of the music just fine. But the new voice I am trying to add today is not ducking until the very end of the recording, but which time it is useless.
I have tried goofing around with the various ducking levels. I've re-recorded the audio...but the ducking is still patchy: volumes going up and down and ultimately not being able to hear any of the voice.
Any tips?

Did you create a new track or duplicate another one?
I would probably be better to turn ducking off and use a volume curve.

Cyber duck not working well. Please help!

I have tried over and over to use cyberduck. I have saved to a local file, then tried to upload. I get about 78% uploaded when it stops. It gives me the same error messages:
The name you specified is not allowed. 553-Names must contain only ASCII letters (a-z,A-Z), digits (0-9), underscore, dot and dash. 553-
I've read many post and I can't seem to find this problem. What's going on?

Well, it almost worked. All but 2 mb loaded. I had the same error message and another that says a file can't be created because a file can't be found. The pict file is clearly located in the file...
The other message is the same as before, but as I went into that folder, I find nothing wrong.
To the end, I tried to find the page in my browser and it only shows the index of two files. The page doesn't load at all. It just says Index of// and below lists files.
Not sure what to do next.... any suggestions?

Ducking music-track not working in preview

Tried ducking a music-track in several clips, but couldn't get it to work reliable. On the first clip it worked, on others volume level of the music-track stayed the same, whatever value I've set the ducking slider to.
After much experimenting and browsing the web, I found the following post by Winston Churchill:

He recommended to export the clip and check the final result. And in fact, the music level followed the setting in the exported movie.
So this is a bug in iMovie08. While it is not a big issue, if you know the ducking works on export, it can drive you nuts, if you rely on iMovies preview mode and can't get it to work.
And what makes me wondering even more, that this post is from Feb 18, 2008 and the bug is still present in June 2008.

i had a problem with my wifes iphone 4s, today morning while travelling to work i changed a setting on repeat option and changed it to repeat artist, it was fine until when i finish my work and on my way back i found songs are not playing anymore, lots of stop signs next to my song list, play/pause button not working, album arkwork keep moving from one to another on its own, so after i reach home i try to do some research on Apple support communities, try to soft reset my phone closing all the apps on background didnt work, also note that control centre music player was not working as well. none of the solutions worked. after trying for two hours i found out that the trouble is in repeat options , so i changed it from repeat artist to repeat off. and the music start playing as usual, but i still have those stop buttons next to the songs i tried to play earlier. At least it fixed temporarily. please also note that in the meantime i tried to sync my phone with the pc and suddenly its start syncing all the songs again assuming there were no songs on my iphone. so guys i think soft reset might not help all the time but try to remember what settings you changed recently and change it back to the original option, not sure ,but it might help.

Revealing / Hiding DIVs Not Working

Howdy, on one of my pages I used getelemntbyid to reveal and hide DIVs. It works perfectly in that page.
I want to make a page that uses the same structure but different content, so I copied the entire page code into a new document, so I had a duplicate page.
In the new page, I changed the DIV IDs appropriately, but hide and reveal on the new page does not work. All I changed were the DIV IDs. I went over them with a fine tooth comb to make sure all my ducks are in a row.
Here's an example of the code that does not work. The only thing I changed from the original was that Div1 became 101. Thanks a lot for any help you can give.

I found the answer. You will not believe this, but it is the honest truth.
It has to do with how I type the new DIV IDs.
If I select the current DIV ID (example: 1) and type the new DIV ID
(example: 101), thus replacing the current ID, the javascript does not work.
However, if I place the curser in front of the 1 (first number of the
DIV ID) and then type 10 to make the DIV ID 101, the js does work.
I am not kidding. I repeated this multiple times with the same result.
That is weird weird weird.

Audio fade in and out in imovie 11 with a transition not working

When I fade audio out and fade audio in imovie 11 with a transition in between the fade would not work. If I remove the transition they would work. How can I fix this. If i reinstall life 11 would it lose my would or repair the issue.

I am having the same problem. I found a decent workaround:
At the point where you want to fade out, record a voiceover (using a mic) of silence. In other words, cover the microphone and record nothing for a second or two.
Then go into the audio settings for this voiceover and select the "ducking" checkbox, and change the setting so that all other tracks go to 0% sound when the voiceover is playing. The ducking feature has a built-in fader, so this way, when the silent voiceover comes on, it fades out the other track(s)--effectively giving you a fade-out effect on any concurrent track.
Not a perfect solution but can help...good luck!

I read that browser.ui.layout.tablet = "1" can fix this problem. But it not works. I can work only in pnone interface that is not good for my 8'' tablet.

Why self-defined access sequences of free goods can not work?

when i used the standard access sequences ,it is OK .

Dear Sandy,
Go to V/N1 transaction select your self defined access sequence then go in to the accesses and fields and check all fields are activated.
Make sure that these fields are flowing in your sales order.

I was under the impression that photoshop cc would not even install on windows vista.
What version of camera raw do you have?
In photoshop under Help>About Plugin does it list Camera Raw and if so which version is it?

Officially camera raw 8.3 is the latest version of camera raw that will work on windows vista.

Partner application logoff not working

We have a partner application registered with sso with custom login screen. The login works fine. We use the following code to logoff the partner application in logoff.jsp

but the logoff is not working properly. It is not invalidating the session and the logout http request is not going from the application server to the sso server.
Are there any additional configurations for SSO logoff.Any help is appreciated.

The WF should also trigger if i add the Partner function in UI.If i change any Attribute the WF triggers but i dont want to change the attribute when i add the partner function.
If i have only one event for WF that is Partner Change the WF will not trigger it for the 1st time when i save the UI. But next i come to the same saved doc and add a partner function then the Wf triggers.
So this means that Partner change is active.
the issue here is i need to trigger the WF on , the 1st time i save the UI, for which i wil be using Attribute Change and next time when i come back to saved doc the and add only the partner function and no changes are made to attributes the WF should again trigger.

IPhone 4 Voice Memos not working/saving

Hi there,
I'm having trouble with my voice memos too. Up until yesterday they were working fine and now, even though the record button works, the stop button does not and I can only pause them. Worse again is that the button to go into the menu to view all voice memos is not working so I can't play them from my iPhone and nothing new is saving to my iTunes. Please help!

I've always had the "Include Voice Memos" option selected. I think that only pertains to syncing voice memos from iTunes to the iPhone after it has been copied to iTunes. It has to be the new OS/iTunes not communicating that new memos have been recorded. For some reason they won't sync when I want them to, and then a few syncs later they magically appear.
By the way, I'm VERY comfortable with the iTunes and iPhone systems. I've been using iTunes for 5 years, and I've been recording class lectures with the iPhone voice memo app (and another app) for a couple years. It's not an error of not seeing that the memos were added; they don't exist in my library or music folders.

Installed Premiere Pro CS4 but video display does not work?

I just got my copy of CS$. After installing Premiere I found two things that seem very wrong:
1) video display does not work, not even the little playback viewer next to improted film clips located on the project / sequence window. Audio works fine.
2) the UI is way too slow for my big beefy system.
My pc is a dual boot Vista-32 and XP system with 4GB of memory installed and nvidia geforce 280 graphics board with plenty of GPU power. The CS4 is installed on the Vista-32 partition. My windows XP partition on the same PC with Premiere CS2 works great and real fast.
Any ideas how to solve this CS4 install issue?

The problem is now very clear to me. The problem only shows up with video footage imported into PP CS4 encoded with "MS Video 1" codec. So this seems to be a bug. The codec is very clearly called out and supported within various menues but video with this codec just will not play in any monitor or preview window. In addition the entire product looks horrible with respect to performance while PP CS4 trys its best to play the video. Audio will start playing after about 30 seconds. And once in awhile part of video shows up at the wrong magnification before blanking out again.
My suggestion to the Adobe team: fix the bug and add some sample footage to the next release so new installations can test their systems with known footage.
