Due date in UWL in SRM7

Hello everybody,
I just would like to know what is the Due Date in the Universal Work List in SRM7?
What is its utility?
Thank you very much.
François-Xavier BESSON

Hi,
UWL in NetWeaver Portal is not only for SRM.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/EN/50/f5b3e1ad524c54a94fa768a648e232/frameset.htm
The Universal Worklist enables SAP portal users to manage their work by bringing together assignments from different workflow systems, including:
·        Workflow
·        Alerts
·        Knowledge Management (KM) notifications
·        Collaboration Tasks
The Universal Worklist is used as the central access point to tasks, alerts, notifications. You can access the UWL to manage and track your tasks.
If you get some due date for SRM workitem, I guess it is one of deadline ( latest start, requested end, latest end ).
Regards,
Masa

  • Setting Guided Procedure Task Due date in UWL

    All,
Currently UWL is configured to show the tasks related to GP.
My question is how do we set the "Due Date" in UWL task View ( remember i am not talking about Due Date tab in GP). I want that the task that gets posted in UWL should have a due date. Now i have configured the Due date for the action(in Due date tab) but i don't see it when i login in UWL for this particular task.
    Help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi George,
    I need some help.
My scenario is to set Duedate in run time to a Action.
    Like:
    Action1->Action2
I am setting a Duedate Notification for Action2.I am selecting Type of DueDate Notification as Date and selected some date.I need to change this Duedate Notification Date in runtime through context data
    of Webdynpro CO
    I am approaching as follows:
1)Created a Background CO (I wrote a logic to change the duedate and I achieved it)
2)Assigned this Background CO to Action2 Notification(On Assign).
I checked in NWA the duedate of the action is changed. But in UWL screen its showing same old DueDate.
Please guide me in a correct way.
I will be very thankful to you If any suggestions.

  • Standard Behaviour of Due Date in UWL for SRM Workitems

We have a deployment of Enterprise Portal which is integrated to SAP SRM (7.02). I have two  queries regarding the standard behaviour of "Due Date" column in UWL:
    1. The column always displays today as the due date for all shopping carts, irrespective of delviery date. I would like to know whether this is an issue and also would be helpful if you elaborate on how is this calculated.
    2. The column is showing blank for any workitems other than shopping carts (Purchase Order change workitem, User change approvals, Invoice approvals etc.)
    Thanks

    Dear ArulPrakash
I hope you are well and many thanks for using the SAP Discussion Forums .
With reference to the scenario that you have described you mentioned the following:
You have a deployment of Enterprise Portal which is integrated to SAP SRM (7.02). You have two  queries regarding the standard behaviour of "Due Date" column in UWL:
The column always displays today as the due date for all shopping carts, irrespective of delviery date. You would like to know whether this is an issue and also would be helpful if you elaborate on how is this calculated.
The column is showing blank for any workitems other than shopping carts (Purchase Order change workitem, User change approvals, Invoice approvals etc.)
Ok regarding your queries kindly let me attempt to provide some clarification and oversight.
Firstly in terms of the column and the fact it displays todays date as the due date (irrespective of the actual delivery date).  Now from a broad level overview perspective it is possible to change the display of the due date in the UWL.  In the standard xml file you will see the following: <DisplayAttribute name="dueDate" type="date" width="" sortable="yes" format="medium" referenceBundle="due_date" hAlign="LEFT" vAlign="BASELINE" maxTextWidth="0" headerVisible="yes"/> The medium format refers to the output of the field displaying the date as follows: Jun 01, 2014. The short format refers to the output of the field displaying the date as follows: 06/01/14.The long format refers to the output of the field displaying the date as follows: June 01, 2014. The full format refers to the output of the field displaying the date as follows: Tuesday, June 01, 2014. I've attached some reference documentation below for further reference on both your queries.
Secondly regarding the blank columns for workitems. Here the first thing which needs to be ensured is that SAP Note: 1133821 - UWL Destination Service configuration is followed and setup accordingly in terms of configuration settings and parameters. Now you mention that this is occuring for another other item other than shopping carts? Are custom attributes involed here? Could you please have a look at the help document below to check the bahavior of retrieving custom attributes in UWL? http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/ef/f2aed99c414f81adacc6b897a6910a/content.htm

  • Due date is not showing up in UWL

    Hi ,
Due date is not showing up in UWL. Back end is ECC not GP Just regular work flow.
I can see in workflow object end date kind. But the field is blank. For due date any additional configuration needed.
    I really appreciate your help.
    Regards
    Mark

    Hi,
As far as I remember correctly, the Due Date in UWL is the Requested End date in the workflow. So basically you need to open the workflow in backend in WF builder and look at the step. There is a tab for setting different deadlines and stuff. If you do the settings there (for example set the requested end in 3 days), I think that work item will display the due date based on that data.

  • How to call Background CO in Due Date

    Hi All,
We have a scenario, where we need escalate a workitem from one person's UWL to another person's UWL.. The Escalation has to happen only when the due date is reached.
Notification CO is working fine with respect to our scenario, but we want to call a webdynpro background CO there. when we try to call Webdynpro CO, no action is happening.
What is the reason behind this?. Is there any work around for this?
    Regards,
    Krishnaveni.

    Hi Krishnaveni,
Only background callable object can be used for notifications and due date. You need to put the implementation of your callable object, which implement the IGPBackgroundCallableObject interface in a library like for any other background callable object.
I'm not sure that a Web Dynpro background CO can exists because of the layering and class loading issues.
To be sure that it works, you can test the background callable object in standalone mode in the Design Time.
    Hope this helps,
    Best regards.

  • Due date update using GP APIs?

    Hi all
I am working on the Due date update using GP APIs, I have done it at the "process" level. However I dont know how to trigger it at an activity level using GP APIs.
Please tell me how to gain access to the Activity (Action) instance of the next processor from the current one? I have set the Due date statically at the process and activity level. Now I wish to allow the user to change the due date dynamically using GP APIs at the <b>activity</b> level.
    Ideas pls......
    regards
    LNV

An other one!! I have set the due date manually in the process yet I dont see it in the UWL. Any thoughts on this? Thanks again.

  • Calendar for Due Dates

    Hello,
We would like to configure somewhere in GP the workable days for the workflow in order to avoid de Due Date to count the holidays, saturdays and sundays.
Does someone knows how to do this??

    Hi,
You know from NetWeaver system administration( http://<host>:<port>.nwa) you can find when the process has started and when it is ended. Another one way from portal -> UWL. So through through the Java API you can get the total days of the running process. There from you just compare it with your local calander and find the no of days except holidays.
To write the Java APIs you will create a simple JAVA class. If you want to interact the Java Class with GP, Then you create Background Callable object.
For Help how to create  Background Callable object please go to help.sap.com and search Background Callable object. you wil get the step bu step doc.
    Thanks

  • How to change Net Due Date in case of Credit Memo..

    Hi Experts,
In our system currently when we create credit memo using tcode FB75 system makes the invoive due immediately.
We wanted to make this net due date dependent on payment terms given by us. Please let me know how can I achieve this..
Please let me know if there is any user exit there or the configration path to achieve this...
    Regards,
    Vidya

This is a standard SAP functionality. Usually a credit memo is referenced to an invoice and if you don't have a reference to an invoice SAP would consider that credit memo as due immediatly.
If you have an invoice to be referenced to this credit memo enter the invoice number in the invoice reference field in FB75 > payment tab and then enter the payment term. If you don't have an invoice reference enter V  in the invoice reference field and then the payment term, system will calculate net due date based on payment term.

  • Restrict PO goods receipt based on PO due date

    Folks,
Is there a way to restrict the processing of a PO goods receipt with tnx MIGO if the PO due date is too far in the future. Basically,I want to stop goods receipts when the physical delivery much earlier than the PO due date.
    Thanks,

There is no configuratin setting  to restrict the processing of a PO goods receipt with tnx MIGO if the PO due date is too far in the future.
You can use the enhancement MBCF0005 and component EXIT_SAPM07DR_001 and make changes based on your requirement.

it's good for ideas but implementation a bit different
Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher Report Designer's Guide
This function provides a method to get the difference between two dates in the given locale. The dates need to be in "yyyy-MM-dd" format. This function supports only the Gregorian calendar. The syntax is as follows:
    <?xdoxslt:date_diff(‘format’, ‘YYYY-MM-DD’, ‘YYYY-MM-DD’, $_XDOLOCALE, $_XDOTIMEZONE)?>
    where
format is the time value for which the difference is to be calculated
    Example:
    <?xdoxslt:date_diff(‘d’, ‘2006-04-08’, ‘2006-04-01’, $_XDOLOCALE, ‘America/Los_Angeles’)?>
    returns
    -7

  • Due date not calculated in F-28

    Hello,
Can anyone tell me if in standard SAP, in F-28 (incoming payment) why the due date (or payment date) is not calculated ?
I fulfilled posting date and document date (both 01/09/2009) and payment terms also (Z100 - 90 days end of month), but after saving the document and when i check it in FB03, i found that payment date (or due date) still 01/09/2009 and not 30/11/2009.
Can someone explain why and in which cases SAP dosn't calculate the due date ?
In advance, thank you for help

    Hi,
The transaction F-28 - Incoming payment, in general it is used for receiving payments.  Then what is your requirement to calculate due data from posting date of this document.  Are you referring to value date in the bank item?  The due date will be calculated from baseline date in invoice, in this case you need to check the baseline date in the invoice (open item), right?
Correct me, if my understanding on your requirement is wrong.
    thanks,
    Kumar

  • Vendor line item due date error

I found the net due date in vendor line item report is not correct. vendor payment term is 30 days, accounting document posting date is Jan1. 2010,but net due date is Jan.1.2010, it should be 1.Feb,2010.
    why system calculate wrongly? Thanks

Is it a credit memo ?
For a credit memo the due date is the baseline date. This is the default rule. If you want that the credit memo is taken in account with payment terms, you must either link it to an invoice by filling the field REBZG with the invoice number either put the constant 'V' in the same field (REBZG). With 'V' in REBZG, the credit memo is taken in F110 according to its payment term.
see documentation of data element REBZG.
