Due to restoration of laptop to original config, I lost bookmarks. Can I recoup those and how?

Recently due to a virus attack, I had to restore my laptop to its original (manufacturer's) configuration. In that process I lost all bookmarks. How can I restore the lost bookmarks?

Do you try to go to the page to remove the bookmark?
An alternative method is to right-click on the bookmark and choose delete.
