Dumb question #1, how do you save pictures from a webpage?

sorry, but i'm a an x-pc owner and all you had to do is right click on an image and choose save. i'm hoping there's as easy a way to do this with my mac. all i've been able to do is save the whole page.
any help would be greatly appreciated,

Niel pretty much told you exactly how to do it. Hold down "ctrl" and then click the pic, a menu will open and give you options, select save. I prefer just to double click the picture and then drag it to my desktop or wherever I want the picture saved to. Those are the two primary methods I use most of the time.
Every now and then you'll come across a protected website or a flash website where you won't be able to save the picture. In these cases, neither the "ctrl" click nor the click and drag methods will work. What I do to get the pic is use Grab. Grab is a great program that should have come preinstalled on your powerbook. It was in mine. You can find it in your applications or using Spotlight. Anyway, when you open Grab, you can capture images using four methods found under the “Capture” tab at the top of the screen. The methods are:
1. Selection – able to drag a box around the image and then capture just the pic.
2. Window – select a window and it will capture an image of the entire window.
3. Screen – captures an image of everything on your screen.
4. Timed Screen – the same as the screen method, but captures the screen after 10 seconds.
Each of these methods has a shortcut that will speed things up. I keep Grab in my doc for easier access when I need to use it. It’s very useful. I hope this has helped!! Let us know if you have any further questions.
