Dump with Message "ASSIGN_CAST_WRONG_LENGTH"

Hi,
I have this code where in i am trying to get the Changes log to a report
DATA : OFFSET TYPE C.
FIELD-SYMBOLS <F_NEW> TYPE ANY.
FIELD-SYMBOLS <F_OLD> TYPE ANY.
ASSIGN YPLABMSR+OFFSET(IT_TABINFO-INTLEN) TO <F_NEW> TYPE IT_TABINFO-INTTYPE.
ASSIGN YPLABMSR_OLD+OFFSET(IT_TABINFO-INTLEN) TO <F_OLD> TYPE IT_TABINFO-INTTYPE.
The program gets activated with out any error.
Can any please help in getting rid of this dump please

I haven't seen this error myself before, but here's my guess:
Field-symbols with type IT_TABINFO-INTTYPE does not have the correct lenght according to IT_TABINFO-INTLEN.
You might want to check in debugging the length defined in IT_TABINFO-INTLEN against the field length of IT_TABINFO-INTTYPE.

I'm making some research on specific InfoObjects, and in some cases I want to know where are they being used, but when I try to use the icon for "Where-used list using Data Warehouse" I end up with an error, a short dump.
Message class is: RSQBW

Hi Miriam
In the short dump you should also see the name of the infoset in question.
You probably have to adjust the infoset in transaction RSISET and they try to run the where used list again.

when I run the Tcode:TBB1，i come across a ABAP short dump error.
my system environment is:

independant system without SLD control

In the production system, you have to carry out tpm18 before the technical upgrade for all business transactions that are before the key date from tpm_migration_cat.

Hi Peter,
I guess you found note 837202 when you were looking for a solution for the TBB1 dump you encountered.
This note deals with a special situation when executing tpm18 (which is the transaction for fixing and posting derived flows) in a test system after migration and it tells you you should run tpm18 in production before the technical upgrade.
I am not sure if this really applies to your situation, maybe you should rather check if note 821854 and the solution therein can be helpful.
But without more information (e.g. knowing more about your release, your 'migration history' and the part of the coding where the dump is raised), it is quite difficult to give a diagnosis.
Maybe you should think of sending a customer message to SAP support via the SAP marketplace if you cannot get rid of this problem on your own.

yes,
you got crash aka shortdump in your system.
- webserver: didn't crash, because it issued an error 500, so it works
- remains either the soap runtime, which usually doesn't dump but throw errors and the application itself.
I'd look into the tracefiles (ST11) or tie the debugger to the service in question (SICF) and try to find out hat happens/d.

SDCCN - Dump with "DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND"

Hello,
I'm facing an error in SDCCN functionality. When checking Early Watch Alerts with transaction DSWP I get a red alert flag with a system. When trying to reach system with RFC connection, I get an error message "Dynpro without connection to user".
In target system I get a dump with runtime error "DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND".
I found a few notes but none of them in relationship with SDCCN (49730, 1551958, 1520800).
Does anybody know this problem and can help me out?

Hi Julia,
This error is usually raised when a non-dialog user is specified for dialog processing.
On the red flag icon in DSWP, that would be the Trusted RFC you'd be using, so for that RFC, in SM59
what kind of user is being specified. Have you tried checking the box use current user?
In Solman in DSWP in the client tab you can also test the Trusted RFC and ensure the smread and smtrusted RFCs are speciofied for Data COllection and Read Analysis.

Master data load gives dump with exception CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE

Hi all,
I scheduled master data load for 0MATERIAL in our BI 7.0 Quality server. The load ended in dump with the exception CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE. The data has loaded into PSA( 37257 from 37257 records) but the technical status is red and has not updated the master data object.
I have seen note 615389 which talks about number range but the check is successful. The data load was successful in development server. This error has occured only in Quality.
We are on SP 12 in BI 7.0.
We are moving to production soon, so this is an urgent issue. I would appreciate if anyone responds soon. Points will be rewarded.

I went to SM21 and went through the system log. There was a log with the following text ORA-20000: Insufficient privileges#ORA-06512: at
"SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 2150#ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS.
I found a note 963760 for this error. After the changes said in this note were done I reloaded the data and it worked fine. Data load for another data source which gave dump now worked.
I am not sure if the note did the trick. So i am keeping this post open in case someone finds another solution or can confirm the solution which worked for me.

Dump a Message object to file, rebuild later- Possible or no?

Hello all-
I need to pass along a Message object (a mail object) from one component (an Enterprise JavaBean) to another (Also an EJB). Thing is, I want to put it in an XML file- in other words- is it possible to dump a message object as a raw text file, then rebuild it at the destination?
Now, I guess the problem here is that the Message-class isn't serializable. Can anyone think of any clever workarounds to this??

I don't think you can do it with a message class,
but if what you're looking for is for the raw text of the email you can use the MimeMessage class and use the
message.writeTo(outputStream) function to put the
source of the email into a particular stream

Middleware problem -Outbound queue is stuck in SAP R/3 system with message

Hi Middleware gurus ,
We are stuck with a serious issue . We are trying to download Business partners from SAP R/3 4.6c system to SAP CRM 5.2 system using CRM Middleware
Previously we did a successful Initial download of 2 Business partners from SAP R/3 to CRM . Their BP numbers in CRM are 001 and 002 . The Delta load is working fine for the both the BPs which are already downloaded
Now , the real problem is when we are trying to download a new Business partner . When we set the Filter ( BP no 003 ) in MW adaptor object CUSTOMER_MAIN and start the Initial load again , we see that the Outbound queue is getting stuck with message STOP .
There are two queues generated in SAP R/3 system with names MASS_CRM_CUSTOME and R3AD_CUSTOME . The status for both the queues is STOP and when go for details it mentions sapsuck ..SAPMSSY1 -Message no. SR 053.
Even we checked the txn SMW01, the Bdocs message is "Recived ( Intermediate state) " for Bdoc type BUPA_MAIN.
We really dont as to why the Initial load worked fine with 2 BPs and later when want to do more BP Initial Load the Outbound queue is getting stuck
Also , by unlocking the 2nd queue R3AD_CUSTOME we are able to release it , but the first queue MASS_CRM_CUSTOME* is stuck
Please help us urgently

We checked on this . Actually the RFC is used for connecting to SAP R/3 system.
We also raised an OSS message on this and found a reply that in transaction CRMM_BUPA_MAP, we can map the required BP . But the SAP support guy recived an error received the error:
An RFC link is not maintained in the Middleware
Message no. CRM_BUPA_MAPPING051
We have set the RFC link , but still the problem continues!!!

Short Dump with ALV Report

Hi
I have one Zreport which gives the result in ALV form.
After getting the result(1 row with 33 columns) when I tried to export the ALV results to spread sheet using the option : List-> Export-> Spread Sheet OR by click on Excel icon in the display screen,I'm getting the short dump with the description "No more storage space available for extending an internal table" .
After analysis ,find that dump is raising in the FM : F4_GET_RESULT of Include Program : LSDH3U03.
Can anyone provide us some clue .

If the display is in ALV grid format, then you can try another approach to save the data in a spreadsheet.
- Right-click on any output cell.
- Select 'Spreadsheet' from the drop down list
- radio-button 'All available formats'
- Excel (In existing XXL format)

When connected to my Ford Mondeo, my ipod nano can be controlled through interface. But after while it comes up with message 'loading data' and then freezes. Anyone else got the issue?

This worksd most of the time, but after a while if I try to change the music or search, it comes up with message 'Loading Data'. I then have to pull out USB and reinseert, at which point it works again. Has anyone esle expereinced this/have a solution?

Does not matter if anyone else has this issue. You need to contact the Ford dealership. It's their product you are having problems with.
If you really want to know if anyone else has this issue, post on Ford's Mondeo message boards. It's where the Ford car owners hang out.

Is there a way to create, store and use preset messages for use with "Messages". I often have a recurrinig message to send, after a repeating event, and need to enter the same short message each time. It would be nice to have this short message stored and selectable so that I do not need to enter each time.
