Dunning process automation - looking for ideas

Hi all,
I was wondering if anybody can share any ideas about automating of the dunning process (F150). I'm trying to make the dunning process completely automated such that the users would not have to maintain the dunning parameters on a monthly basis. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

  • Looking for ideas for transferring large amounts of data between systems

    Hello,
I am looking for ideas based on best practices for transferring Large Amounts of Data in and out of a Netweaver based application.
We have a new system we are developing in Netweaver that will utilize both the Java and ABAP stack, and will require integration with other SAP and 3rd Party Systems. It is a standalone product that doesn't share any form of data store with other systems.
We need to be able to support 10s of millions of records of tabular data coming in and out of our system.
Since we need to integrate with so many different systems, we are planning to use RFC for our primary interface in and out of the system. As it turns out RFC is not good at dealing with this large amount of data being pushed through a single call.
We have considered a number of possible ideas, however we are not very happy with any of them. I would like to see what the community has done in the past to solve problems like this as well as how SAP currently solves this problem in other applications like XI, BI, ERP, etc.

Also I've noticed that if i move / copy things with Dolphin they're substantially slower than if I use cp/mv. But cp/mv works fine for me...
Also run Dolphin from terminal to try and see what's the problem.
Hope that help at least a bit.
Could you explain why Dolphin should be slower? I'm not attacking you, I'm just asking.
Cause I thought that Dolphin is just a „little" wrapper around the cp/mv/cd/ls applications/commands.

  • Looking for ideas: mass-delete qualified links

    Hello SDNers!
I'm looking for an innovative idea on how to mass-delete qualified links. I want to delete all the qualified links to a specific non-qualifier from many records at once. Idealy the scenario would be to search on a specific qualifier, and be able to select all records and delete that qualified value from them. Data Manager can't do this, obviously.
The closest I managed to get was to delete all the values in the qualified link using an import, but that's not enough, I need to delete the links completely.
Before I turn to the APIs, anyone has an idea?
    Thanks
    Alon

    Alon,
You should be able to accomplish this with an export and import.
    1. Select the qualified record you want to delete using the search parameters
    2. Export out the records with this qualified field - it should only export out the qualified record that you have selected in your search parameter
    3. Import this file with the Import Manager
    4. Map the qualified table name in the source to the destination
    5. Right click on the destination field name and select "Select Qualified Update > Update"
    6. A new dialog box will appear
    7. For new links select "Skip"
    8. For existing links scroll down and select "Delete"
    9. When the file imports it should delete all instances of that qualified record
That was a quick explanation. Let me know if you need more detail.
    Regards,
    Tim

  • Want to get published? I'm looking for ideas for The Online Learning Idea Book, Vol 2

I edited The Online Learning Idea Book a few years ago and it has been an amazing success! I regularly get emails from readers telling me how much the ideas have helped them. I’m hoping you will submit ideas and help me find additional contributors for the new volume! You can see some of the ideas from the first volume here.
Because the book has been so well received, Wiley has recently asked me to produce a new volume with new ideas. Why submit ideas? Here are three good reasons:
Helping others in our field improve the quality of online instruction
Gaining well‐deserved recognition for your solutions and insights and willingness to share those solutions and insights to help others (each selected idea will receive full attribution)
You’ll receive a free copy of the book if your idea is selected.
Want to know more? Go here to download the                      FAQs.
I'd love to receive some ideas that show unique ways to use Connect but feel free to submit other ideas as well (the FAQs explain what I am looking for in detail).

  • Looking for ideas for a: Photo Gallery portlet

    Hey all,
I'm wondering if anyone out there uses any special code or 3rd party apps, or anything to fancy-up a portlet to display photos?
For the last few hours I've been working to integrate CoolIris (http://www.cooliris.com) with a Publisher portlet but have run into a snag that I'm having some difficulty debugging. But rather than spinning my wheels on this one solution, I figured I'd reach out to all of you to see how you display event/holiday/etc types of pictures within your portals.
Ideally I'd love for our users to be able to submit images directly through a Publisher portlet and create something more flashy than just a static image that they have to scroll through.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks!
    Geoff

I'm looking for the same functionality.
What I'm thinking of doing is to use a document library component for users to upload and manage images. Then use Content Presenter to display the images.
    Problems:
    - Content Presenter doesn't do folders well.
    - default templates don't show images
    - icon view only shows an icon representing the type of content
Another option is to use the wiki as at http://wiki.oracle.com/photos/albums . Don't know if that can be done yet but cuold be easier for users.

  • How can i move ALL of my Iphoto/aperture pictures from the internal hd to a external hd at one session?  just need to how to do this. (I know this is a long process; just looking for a faster method).

looking for a way other than post and click.

I'm not at all sure what you mean by "post and click", but if you wish to move your entire iPhoto Library, then follow these steps:

As far as I know, you can set up Aperture to access its library on an external drive; I tried to find some info for you and found this support site for it - you might want to check it out. Also, you might want to check the manual on how to move the library.

    Hi,
Does anyone have a suggestion or a resource they could refer me to that talks about doing mass changes in Discoverer. You should note that oracle doesn't support those kind of changes and you should test it very carefully.
Is there a way to do a mass update which would append the words "Obsolete Report" to all discoverer reports?A way i can think of is to update the underlying table but as mentioned before you should be very careful with it since it is unsupported.
    UPDATE EUL_US.EUL5_DOCUMENTS A
    SET a.doc_name = a.doc_name||' Obsolete Report';
*few issues you should pay attention to:
    1. concatenating the "Obsolete Report" might go over the limit of the workbook name.
    2. you should check the behavior of links (if you use those).
    3. perform real detailed tests !!!

  • Looking for ideas - Anyone?

I am designing a database in Oracle 10g Express Edition - Database looks fine and I am in the final phase.
I am twisting my head over (have been looking at websites to see how they do things in general and am not yet convinced) how to create the process booking request on my site when it comes to how a customer will be registered.
I am creating booking requests on 6 categories: hotels, vacation rentals, camping, home exchange, tours and flights (only business charter flights).
I have started with making the Customer table where customer is identified with a number and same Customer ID can be used in all booking requests for that particular customer. Now... it is unpopular to have to log in to be able to book things, maybe it is something that is supposed to be or maybe not. So I am thinking and twisting again, my head i.e., how to do this? What would be the ideal process of creating a booking and what would be an ideal identificator on customer? In this world of spam I do not want to use customers e-mails for mailing news etc., so that is said.
Should I let the customer write his/her info again and again in every new request or should I keep some sort of register on them?
Anyone who has been around with this dilemma?
    Suggestions?
    Smart ideas highly appreciated :)
Anyone? ? - Obviously I am not the most experienced one - therefore need the forums even more.. I would appreciate a discussion on this one - since I am sweating over studying Oracle process ;)

This is not an easy question to answer. Design issues are always the most resistant to a glib response.
Really this is not, primarily, a technical issue but a business one. These two requirements are contradictory:
same Customer ID can be used in all booking requests for that particular customer.
it is unpopular to have to log in to be able to book thingsSo choose which is most important to you. If you hope to have a "sticky" site with lots of repeat business then you ought to design it that way; this means registering your users' details. If you envisage people using your site just once or only occasionally then not registering is preferable.
Bear in mind that many popular travel sites join several things - flight booking, hotel reservation, car hire - in a single transaction. Customer details are shared within the transaction and you can get them by using the Transaction Ref. But the details are not retrievable in the context of a new transaction - no login before you place the order. This works because most people book flights only occasionally. Far less often than, say, they buy a book from Amazon. Regular Amazonians probably like to avail themselves of the One-Click and so have registered their details.
Incidentally, I wouldn't worry about logging in being unpopular. I think most people would rather login than have their identity hijacked.
There is a lot more to this question but the headline is: you need to sort out your business model and then your business process model before you start designing the CUSTOMER table.
    Cheers, APC

  • Looking For IDE For Servlet Authoring

    Hello,
My head is currently spinning trying to find an IDE for my Java needs that doesn't require me to also wade through a sea of features I am not interested in.
I will be building modest web applications for a small private biotech company. We do research. I support the research effort with Web enabled tools.
So, I will be authoring mostly Servlets with occasional JavaBean authoring. What is a reasonable tool to handle that task? I like the looks of JBuilder. What about an opensource IDE?
For the curious, I will be using the TeaServlet template framework (opensource.go.com) for page creation. They have a nice tool called Kettle and I will use Dreamweaver's template feature as well.

  • Looking for ideas for a university "project"

    Hi folks!
I'm currently studying Java (optional subject) at university and we have to write a program for evaluation. The problem is... which program should i go for? I've thought in a little game ( it can't be a chess game, as it is what the teacher has given us as example)... What do you think? Any suggestions?
What about a simple filemanager? don't really know because it has to be multiplatform... Well, i'm counting on you guys!
    Thanks in advance!

skottish wrote:There are some standards which nearly everyone learns in OOP/OOD classes. For instance, employee databases and multimedia collections are popular choices. They're not too involved, but will let you not only use OOP/OOD principles, but it will also give you time to build a GUI, which also requires the same principles.
    Now as you mention it...
At the moment, the whole class has to do some 'mini-projects', including rudimentiary documentation. The favourite topics are management of either employees or goods, or projects similar to it. A friend of mine (a very talented webdesigner, from my point of view) started to program a media collection application. So it seems to be typical, what we are approaching.
It is true, that these applications are very good to start off, but the applications itself could also be realised in form of a script, as they do not necessarily require self-defined classes and their instances to be used. I tried to advance further (as my interest in programming goes somewhat beyond what we learn in school, with 1 (!) lesson per week) and started to play around with properties and inheritance. Very interesting techniques and I slowly come to understand, what OOP is all about and it's really fascinating to go deeper and deeper into the issue and to understand the fundamental things, not just the surface we're taught at school.
It may sound childish to a experienced programmer, but actually, 2 years ago, I was not a bit into programming. I started up Microsoft Visual Studio .net and forced myself to play around a bit with programming. I soon came to the result, that this is actually extremely fascinating. Due to my own laziness, I never to got to advance to a level I actually wanted to achieve, but I think this is slowly changing, mostly due to the fact, that I've become interested in all of this open source thing. It's not only about using F|OSS for everyday work, it's more the will to be a lively member of the community, which is able to share some of its knowledge in order to improve the whole project. So, if I ever manage to go beyond the barrier of my own laziness, I have some (from my point of view) intesting projects to start and am very much looking forward to participating.
To return to your initial question: How much time and experience do you have? As a beginner, I try to understand your situation as I am actually in the same one and had to do a project for school for myself. If you have more time at your disposal, you could try out some advanced stuff, like not merely employee management, but a simplified company management software or things like that, you could even program a operating system 'control center', with a rather limited approach, but it is indeed an interesting idea, which I also have in mind as the biggest project yet to come. If you can emphasize on ArchLinux, you could sit down and try to program a GUI control module for some service, the operating system is offering. Look out for appealing GUI frameworks (GTK or Qt) and their Java bindings. I wish you good luck.

  • Looking for ideas/discussion on "Best Approach"

I have to create a form using JSP/Servlets with the following form fields
    Customer Details
    Customer ID
    Name
    Street
    City
    Country
    Product Details
    Product ID
    Product Name
    Manufacturer
    Product Code
Country of Production //Where the product was manufactured
    Product Certificate Details
    Certificate ID
    Issue Date
    Country of Issue
The purpose of the form is so that the user can enter the customer details, product details and certificate details and submit the form for the data to be saved on to an database. That is ok if it was that simple :)
The idea is to make the form as easy as possible to complete so the following functionality will be available on the form.
A search icon will be available next to Customer ID which when clicked will display a pop up window with a list of all the customer ids available. The user can then select a customerid from the pop up window and the application will populate the customer details on the parent window based on the ID.
A similar type of popup/lookup window will be available for Productid, product code in product details and certificate id in certificate details.
There will also be a lookup window for all the country elements in the form. I.e Country under customer details, Country of production and country of issue.
Now the bit that i am interested in is what is the best way of implementing this using jsp, servlets and struts. I am mainly interested in knowing how you would implement the following functionality
1 - The database stores nearly 23,000 product codes. If the user selects the search icon to load all the product codes so that they can select one, how would you manage these? Presumabely it wont make sense to display 23,000 product codes for the user to select 1 from the list. I think the best way to do this is to paginate the list on the popup window. Is there anything in JSP to simplify this?
The other question is where/how would you store the product codes on the client? or would you store them at all?
    2. The other thing that i would like some advice on is what is the best way to implement the lookup window for Country, Country of Production and Country of issue. Im thinking as all these 3 elements are retrieving the same data i should have a generic component that can be used for all 3. How can you make the generic component to determine which form field of the 3 is to be populated if they have different names?
    3. And finally when the popup window loads, is there any other way other than Javascript to populate a form element on a parent window based on a clicked hyperlink on a child window?
    4. And finally finally, is it better to display the pop window in a "new window" via a new jsp request or a hidden css DIV layer?
    Thanks

When I try to install an IDE driver for the other platforms (ME,2000,NT,98,95) I get an error.
The Link on the Drivers page has a comment net to it stating it's for XP, but the software explodes into about 5 directories and none of them conatin an XP driver.

Any help or alternate source for XP drivers for a T43 ??
    Thanks,

    Guy, welcome to the forum,
I don't know which driver you are trying to install, but all commen drivers for the T43 can be found on this site or you could try using the System Update utility. That being said, as the T43 has a S-ATA to P-ATA bridge, it may be that you need to install the Chipset driver from the driver site.
