Duplex printing not available on Photosmart 5510 properties window

My Photosmart 5510 All-in-One has avery limited choice  when I go to properties options i.e no duplex printing (which I use regularly) no choise for colour , gray or black and few others diferent options. My old HP Al -in One had a fantastic number of options to choose from for printing.
I've noticed that only the Basic driver is downloaded and installed and I can not get it to download and install the full version. I have tried with the installation CD it came with as well as directly from HP web site.
Can anyone help?

Is there a link for installing the Photosmart 5510 all-in-one on a Mac with OSX?  My friend needs to have draft mode available and I will be installing this new printer for her.  Too bad it doesn't offer duplex printing.

  • Laser Jet CP1025nw: Duplex printing not available from Mac

I just bought a new HP Laser Jet CP1025nw printer and have installed it for wireless use. When trying to print from my Mac (OS X 10.9.3) the option for (manual) duplex printing is not showing up (greyed out) in the print dialogues in applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro).
How can I get duplex printing workingfrom my Mac?

  • Duplex printing not available on HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw

There are multiple posts on here and all over the internet from Mac users who simply want to print duplex, but I don't see any answers, so I thought I'd add my voice with a new post and see if it gets any attention beofre I start emailing HP's support VP directly.
I'm using Mavericks and have downloaded the latest HP driver.  The 2-sided printing option is greyed out.
This is a fundamental problem.  Come on HP, this is not good enough.

    Hi,
The Twwo-Sided option expected to be grayed out as the M276nw does not support automatic duplexing.. you may find the product specifications listed below:
    http://shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Printers/HP-LaserJet/CF145A?HP-LaserJet-Pro-200-...
You may perform manual duplexing by opening the print dialog, click the lowest drop down which appear as the name of the software (e.g. TextEdit / Safari, will appear as Copies & Pages within MS Office).
Select Manual Duplexing and change the settings as required.
If you cannot see such an option, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and click the plus sign.
Select the listed printer and set the Use drop-down as the pritner model rather than the default AirPrint option.. then the Manual Duplex option should appear.

  • HP LaserJet 1320 Duplex Printing Not working with Windows 7

    Hi
I've just bought a new PC with Windows 7 Home Premium. I have an HP LaserJet 1320 printer (Prod no. Q5927A, SN CNGW53RLRY).
I cannot find driver that works the same way as the previous driver HP LaserJet PCL5. If I use this driver and can still get duplex printing but it will only print one copy at a time.
If I upgrade to HP Universal Printing PLC (or PLC v5) I can print multiple copies but not duplex printing. I have searched high and low through the HP site but to no avail.
Any help and advice will be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello,
I've seen this same issue with my printers (other HP printers) whereby the default setting to support the Duplexing hardware was set to 'off'.
A quick method to check this is look at what the setting is for Duplex hardware in the Device Settings tab, and if it's not set, correct it.
      Printer Properties:
From the 'Start' orb -> [Devices & Printers] -> right click on your Printer icon -> select 'Printer Properties' -> click on 'Device Settings' tab.
You should see a dialog similar to the mine (attached): look for the 'Duplex unit (for 2-sided printing)' and see if it's set to "Not Installed":
--> in either case, click on 'Not installed' and from the dropdown box, select 'Installed'... Click 'OK' to accept the changes and close the dialog.
    Printing Preferences:
again, right click on your Printer icon -> select 'Printing Preferences' -> click on 'Advanced' tab.
-->Check to see if there is a 'Duplex Hardware' or '2-sided printing' option in here: mine doesn't show one but thougth I'd mention it nonetheless.
Click on the 'Finishing' tab and select 'Print on both sides'...or simply test print a multi-page document and set those preferences on-the-fly.
Let me know if this helps...

  • Printing problem with HP Photosmart 5510

This is not really a Mavericks problem but I was hoping that someone out ther who owns a HP Photosmart 5510 all in one printer may know the answer. All was working fine up untill I (foolishly) changed the printing mode to economy black & white and now I can not get it back to printing in colour. Anyone know how to do this please?
Sorry that this is not a specivic Apple problem but I am desperate!
    Cheers.

    Hello wil46,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand you have recently changed the black ink cartridge on your HP Photosmart C8180. I would first like to make sure that the cartridges are properly vented, take a look at the picture below:
Please take out the cartridge and inspect it, clean the contacts with a lint free cloth (coffee filter works best) and some distilled water, also clean inside the printer where the cartridge sits. Depending on how long the printer was sitting for or an empty cartridge this can sometimes cause the nozzles to dry out which could cause the black ink not to print.
Now let's go ahead and clean the printhead, from the front panel of your C8180 follow the steps listed below:
Setup Menu > Tools > Clean Printhead
You may need to do this a few times, if you see the black ink quality getting better please continue with the cleanings.
Let me know if this was helpful, I will watch for your reply.
    Thanks,

  • Officejet Pro 8600 Plus duplex printing not working

I am running Mac OSX leopard (10.5.8) and just bought the officejet pro 8600.  Everything seems to work great except I can't figure out how to print on two sides.  The option isn't allowed in page setup
I have checked the settings on the printer and can't see anything to indicate how to switch on the option for double-sided printing.
Thanks in advance for the help.
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
Please follow the steps below to configure the driver for automatic duplex printing:
    1. Verify the duplex-printing accessory has been installed properly. To verify this open the System Preferences and go to Print & Fax. Open the print queue of your printer. Click on Printer Setup and from the tab menu choose Driver. Verify the box next to HP Two-sided Printing Accessory (Duplexer) is checked.
    2. On the File menu, select Print. The Print window appears.
NOTE: The Print window might be minimized. Click the blue triangle next to the printer name to see all available settings.
    3. In the expanded Print window you will find next to Copies the checkbox for Two-Sided. Check the box.
NOTE: If the checkbox does not appear within the specific application print dialog, skip this step.
    4. To select the binding type click the lowest selection box listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.
    5. Select Layout from the drop-down menu.
    6. Set the Two-Sided option as Long-Edge binding (Portrait), or Long-Edge binding (landscape).
You may save the settings for future use by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset...
Please let me know of any problem,

  • Black Ink Cartridge not working HP Photosmart 5510 series

I replaced my black ink cartridge in my HP Photosmart 5510 series printer and it doesn't print.  I don't know how long I had the cartridge, so I went and bought a brand new cartridge and it still won't print.  I did everything the help menu said and it still doesn't print.  I cleaned print head and copper on both the cartridge and print head, I did an automatic cartridge clean and nothing is working.  The printer recognizes that the cartridge is full---there are no error messages---but it won't print.  I also replaced the  three color cartridges and they print fine, but the black doesn't.  Any help would be appreciated.  My printer is fairly new, I haven't done a lot of printing with it and it was printing untill the black ran out and I had to replace the cartridge.

  • Duplex Printing Not Working - Brother HL4570CDW

    Hey all,
I managed to get a network printer setup and it works; however, the only thing that isn't working is duplex printing. I installed the driver from AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-hl4570cdw/
In my default options I have "Two-Sided Printing" set to "Long-Edge Binding". But the CUPS printer page at localhost:631/printers/metafont (where metafont is the name/URL of the printer) shows me:
    Description: metafont
    Location:    metafont
Driver:    Brother HL-4570CDW series CUPS (color, 2-sided printing)
    Connection:    lpd://metafont/BINARY_P1
    Defaults:    job-sheets=none, none media=na_letter_8.5x11in sides=one-sided
What concerns me here is the sides=one-sided, I have a feeling that's a problem. In any case, I tried to print a PDF using evince and in "Page Setup" it tells me that the two-sided option is "Not available" and I also tried to print from the command line and adding the "-o sides=two-sided-long-edge" option but that didn't work either.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    He Daniel.
The standard HP ePrint feature does not support Duplex printing, I would assume that the same applies for HP ePrint Enterprise:
Are there any limitations that I should be aware of when using ePrint?
Duplexing (printing on both sides of the page) is not supported.

I suggest ensuring a such in the commercial forums, there are more expertize users for such a subject:

  • HP d155xi "quality" and "duplex" features not available on OS X 10.4.8.

I have a networked HP d155xi that I print to from my G4 iMac running 10.2.8 (Jaguar) with no problem. Recently I purchased an Intel Core 2 duo iMac running 10.4.8 (Tiger) and downloaded the s/w driver for this printer from the HP website. Installation went fine. Looks like HP has changed the interface. Fine. The problem is it looks like the "quality" (draft/normal/best) and "duplex" (two sided printing) features are not available. In looking quickly through this forum, I saw some similar postings (but not with an HP d155xi) that seemed to indicate that HP did not provide these features for 10.4.8. Would appreciate some clarification on this and/or a work-around. Thanks.
    iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

The word from HP: "The version of software, you have downloaded from the HP website, is not compatible with the Intel processor or Mac OS 10.4.8. The software was released in 2005. You will have printing function as Apple has added pre-installed print drivers on the Mac with the Intel processors. As this is an older model that was introduced 5-6 years ago, software has not been developed that is compatible with the Intel based Mac for the Officejet d155xi. As a product becomes older, HP engineers do not update the software."
I also called Apple and they said printer s/w is the responsibilty of the printer manufacturers, so there is nothing Apple is going to do about it. So, I guess I'll be going shopping soon for a replacement multi-function printer (print, scan, copy, FAX) that has all its features fully supported by by 10.4.8. Anyone have a good recommendation? In parting, the HP d155xi features that are not available on 10.4.8 are print quality, paper selection tray and duplexing.

  • Bluetooth printing - "printer not available" message

Set up HP Photosmart 8250 with HP bluetooth device and set up iBook with D-Link Bluetooth DBT-120. The Mac Bluetooth Setup Assistant appeared to recognize the printer and told me I had it configured for use (and the printer works great when connected by USB cable to both Macs we have) but when I try to print or choose the Photosmart from the printer list and click on "configure", the iBook tells me the printer is not available. Has anyone solved a similar problem. Many thanks for any help...Charles

    Hi Charles,
I'm having similar problems with my Canon i80. Bluetooth setup assistant tells me all if configured correctly yet printer is not listed in devices under bluetooth preferences - as yet I cannot print wirelessly.
Have you managed to solve things at your end yet? I'll keep you informed of any progress over here.
    Thanks

  • Printer not available

I have recently purchased an HP B9180 - it is attached to the network and when I print from most apps the printer is available from the printer selection box.
When I try to print from Aperture the printer is not in the printer dropdown, when I try and add the printer via the add printers option it goes through all of the normal processes but then it does not appear on the list.
When I connect the printer directly via USB I can print fine, but I cannot seem to locate the printer via the network?
    Any suggestions?

    Hello @Robbo1963 ,
    welcome to the HP forum.
I understand that your Zeen is telling you that the printer is unavailable on the wireless network. I would like to help.
Your Zeen can be on the network, while the printer is not.
Place the Zeen in its dock on the printer.
    Goto settings.
Choose wireless, then select Sync Networks
If that does not fix the issue try the following document.

  • HP Laserjet Printer not available in Time Capsule settings

I have an HP Laserjet P1005 printer; very basic stuff. I had previously set it up so that it was connected to my Time Capsule. There were a few issues (I had to connect my MacBook Pro to the Time Capsule via LAN cable for the printing jobs to actually print) but I could use the printer.
I have recently moved offices which required disconnecting everything including my TC. Again, nothing unusual here and when I connected everything in I got back to work no problem. However, I can no longer use the printer (not even when I connect my laptop directly to the TC. I've gone into the TC settings to see that there is no printer linked to the TC. I've tried many times to set up a new printer in my preferences, but when I try to manually change the settings through Airport Utilities there is no printer available for me to choose.
Am I setting up the printer incorrectly? Maybe someone can help me set up the printer so that it comes up when I open Airport Utilities? And why do I always need to connect my laptop to the TC when I want to print; is it because the printer is pretty basic and can't link this way?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
    Andrew

I'm not sure if the following will help but here goes.  I have two printers on my time capsule---A Brother multifunction that I have had on for about 2 1/2 years and recently added a HP Deskjet(both on USB). I first installed the printer directly to my iMac to make sure that I have no printer driver issues etc.  Then I plugged the two printers into a USB switch(forgot to turn the HP printer on).. Then I figured my problem out.  Printers only show up in the Airport utility if they are turned ON.
    May be this will help.

  • Automatic Duplex Printing not working on HP Color LaserJet 3600DN in Windows 7. It worked before.

I have an HP color laserjet 3600 DN on Windows 7.  This computer came w/ Windows Vista and a 3600DN driver was installed and the computer was upgraded to Windows 7.  The printer did automatic duplex printing.
At one point, my computer indicated that it could no longer find the printer.  In an effort to solve this problem, I uninstalled the printer. When I tried to reinstall the printer the computer could not find the driver. At that point I tried to download a windows 7 CLJ 3600 DN driver.  Since HP doesn't provide this driver for Windows 7, I tried to download the Windows Vista driver for 3600DN.
However, when I go to the appropriate webpage by following the links, only drivers for Color Laserjet 3600 are listed (no 3600DN drivers).
As far we can tell it only allows Manual Duplex printing (no automatic duplex printing).  Clicking the "Two Sided Duplex Printing" option is there but only works when the "print on both sides (Manual)" is set on the Finishing page.  If manual is turned off, then it becomes single sided.
Can I get a driver that will allow me to do automatic duplex printing on on my HP CLJ 3600 DN using Windows 7?

How did you replave the duplex belt? How to deassemble the backside of a officejet and click the new belt on? I can't see nor do it y self
