Duplex Scanning with HP7520 on MAC OS X 10.10

Is there a way to scan both sides of a document into a single file?  With the prior operating system, this would work if I scanned one side of the document and then fed the second side and used the same document name and checked "Combine into a single document" as a PDF.
With the new operating system, this same process will can into two separate documents.
I appreciate any suggestions  Thanks!

Hello there! Welcome to the forums @Schulte
You should be able to still scan a multiple page document as one file, on Yosemite as well. You will need to have the Full Feature software installed however. Below is some help!
Here is the download to install the full software: HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer Full Feature Software and Drivers
Here are the instructions on how to scan a multi-page page document into a single file:
Scanning with the Full Feature HP Software in OS X v10.10 Yosemite
You should now be able to do a multiple page scan!
Have a great Monday, let me know the results

  • Duplex scan - laserjet pro 200

What I would like to do is perform duplex scanning with this product. I am currently looking for freeware software which will give me the ability of merge two documents together. I have found some very buggy software which works in linux. Is there a method that will allow me to scan 2-sided documents into a single scan using this product? If not, do you know of a freeware software or HP supported software which will convert two seperate documents into a single document.
    -Ryan

    Hey Ryan,
Looking at the product specs for this printer I was able to see that it does not support automatic duplex scanning.  However, if you open the HP Scan or HP Laserjet Scan software on your PC, then there may be a checkbox at the very bottom right to allow for duplex scanning.  The settings will have to be set to the Automatic Document Feeder or ADF for this option to appear.
If this feature is not present, then the next best option will be to use a PDF Merging software as you were mentioning.  Take a look at PDF Split and Merge (PDF Sam for short).  I will provide a link below to this software download for convenience.

  • Scan with b110 all in one from aMacbook Pro

I have a b100 all in one that i often use to scan documents. i have recently purchased a Macbook Pro and the printer works fine with the Mac. I can however not find the right software to make scans and upload these to my Mac. how to go further??

    Hi nicviets,
I understand you have a Photosmart B110 printer that you need to scan with on a Mac using 10.9. I can certainly assist you with this.
At this time there is not HP full feature software for this printer for 10.9, but you can still scan via the Apple Software. You'll be able to use Apple Preview, Apple Image Capture, or Print and Scan as you wish.
Hope this helps, have a great day!!

  • Disable duplex printing on HP7520 Mac OS X

How do I disable duplex printing on the HP7520 in Mac OS X? All updates are installed. Only Text Edit offers a Two-Sided check box in Printer Details. I cannot find a way to turn it off in Word or in an Adobe Acorbat pdf file. Two hours with HP tech support tonight to no avail. I have read the Windows resolution to this question but I need to fix it on the HP7520 in Mac OS X. Thanks.

    Hi,
From word open the print dialog and click the Copies & Pages. select Layout from the menu and then set the Two-Sided as off.
You may click the Preset drop-sown ansd save the setting as a preset, then it will remain as defautl till another preset will be used.
From Adobe open the print dialog and click the Print... button, then click the lowest drop-down and select Layout, the Two-sided option will appear there.

OK, let's try a different approach.  Try scanning with the Image Capture app in your Applications folder.
Click on your printer on the left, then on "Show Details" along the bottom.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro X, Mac, and Scanning with HP Deskjet Issue!

I am running Adobe Acrobat X Pro on Lion and when I go to scan from PDF, my HP Deskjet 3052 A scanner isn't showing up in the drop down menu.  I also have Acrobat Pro X for Windows on my machine (VMWare) and it works fine, but it won't work with the Mac version.  I have called Adobe and HP and neither have been able to help me.  I bought this program with this feature in mind, and I am sick of having to toggle back to Windows to scan, as it eats up a lot of my processing power.  I have downloaded the SANE and TWAIN drivers (or so I thought I did) with no luck.  I have also un-installed and re-installed the printer and Adobe multiple times, with no luck!  Please help me!

How do I scan with the driver from Apple Software Update?
Depending on your printer and the type of driver update, you might need to scan in a different way than you did before you installed Mountain Lion.
NOTE:Scanning to the computer from the printer control panel is not available when you scan with Preview, Image Capture, or Printer browser methods. You must use HP Scan software to scan from the printer.

Hello WelchS, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are looking into your scan options. I would like to try and help.
Due to the age of the printer, there is no HP software for this printer on Mavericks.  You can, however, utilize the Mac in-OS basic print and scan drivers.  I am including a document on Installing and Using the Printer on a Mac that should help resolve this, specifically the section of the document entitled "How do I scan with the driver from Apple Software Update?"

  • Problems Scanning with Acrobat XI Pro for Mac

I am running Acrobat 11.0.10 on a Mac computer (Yosemite 10.10.2).  Ever since i have updated Acrobat, when i attempt to scan documents with my Epson Photo RX620 it won't scan.
When i try it without image correction, it tells me "an Error occurred while scanning".  If I attempt to scan using manual image correction, it will scan the document, and when it gets to the end of the scan, it says scanning canceled.
Prior to the update, I was having no issues scanning with the same equipment.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • How to scan with HP AIO 309A to Mac 10.8.5?

I am using an HP Photosmart 309A all-in-one printer. After updating to Mountain Lion 10.8.5 I am not able to scan at all. Image Capture does not work, it states "no camera or scanner connected." The HP Scanner program states refer to documentation. I was able to scan prior to updated to the newest version of Mountain Lion. Anyone have the same problem and have you found a solution? Thanks! Note: Connected wirelessly and the printing and faxing work perfectly wirelessly.

Yes I checked HP updates and they did help to determine the three methods where to find "Scan" on the Mac-
    1. Method 1- Click System Prferences>Print & Scan>Click on Printer>Click Scan>Open Scanner>Click Show Details  Method 2- Scan from Apple Preview >File>Import from Scanner Method 3- Scan from Apple Image Capture >Click on Image Capture>Select you printer from the list>Show Details.
That's what was described. However, I was unable to accomplished a Scan with any of the three methods because "Scan" was not available with the three. Evidently the Apple download of the drivers doesn't seem to recognize my printer even though it is listed as a printer that is supported. I even downloaded the Apple printer updates for Mountain Lion. That didn't work either. Unplugged the printer waited one minute, restarted the Mac and nothing seemed to work. Oh well tomorrow is another day and I will try again.

  • Can't scan with HP 2710 using Mac OS-X Yosemite

When I try to scan, I get an error message stating "install or run HP software". I can print fine but can scan. I am wireless to my router and usb connected from router to printer. I cannot seem to find software for the scan feature for my operating system. Mac OS-X 10.10 Yosemite

    Hi @ricmcd,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that you cannot scan with your HP Photosmart 2710 using Mac OS X 10.10. I am happy to help you with your scanning!
Are you able to make copies with your printer? (This way we will know that the hardware is functional.)
According to your printer's specifications, and page 9 of the setup guide, the USB 2.0 printer cable must be connected from the printer directly to the computer. As this is the only method supported for connecting this printer to the computer. As this printer is not a wireless printer.
I would also suggest reading the following guides:
Installing a Mac Printer Driver Using Apple Software Update.
Scanning in OS X v10.10 Yosemite without HP Software.
If your printer is a different printer other than the HP Photosmart 2710, please respond with the printer's Product/Model Number. To find your printer's Product/Model Number follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number, and I will be glad to look into this further.
    Hope this clears things up!

    Hi midandco,
I would suggest deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
I would also suggest running your Apple updates:  OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
After the updates, I would recommend readding the printer with theOS X v10.9 Mavericks: Installing and Using the Printer on a Mac.
