Duplexing a doc, 2nd pg is inverted

How can I print a document back to back (duplexed) with the 2nd page right side up if you flip the page on the long edge?
I'm using Adobe Reader 7.0 on windows XP Professional

I'm using a Ricoh Officio printer and the layout option I've selected is flip on the long side...but as I'm typing this response...thanks to your suggestion...I realized that the document is landscape and I had selected portrait. So now it works fine.

Blank second page when printing duplex (HP8600)

When I click print for duplex printing, the 2nd page prints blank. (HP8600)
If I print a 3 page document, page 2 is blank. The first sheet should include pages 1 and 2 (front and back) and the second sheet should include page 3 (front only). It prints sheet 1 (front only) and sheet 2 (front and back).
I verified in print preview that there is no blank page in my document. They are continuous. Can anyone halp me please?
Also, I notieced that my Adobe pdf docs are printing backwards...page 4,3,2,1 instead of pages 1,2,3,4.

There should be a setting (collated, last page first, or something like that) you need to change to have it come out the way you want.

2nd time Loop error in rejection reason/changes req

Hello experts,
I have created an wf with loop step.
In that loop branch,m displaying a doc in approvers inbox, then i have put a decision step with 2 button - 'Approve' and 'Changes req'.
For button Changes req, loop will continue.ok
In tht changes req branch, i hv put a task of BO SOFM, method- create for approver so tht he can enter thr wht r the changes he wants.
thn i hv put task as BO SOFM, method-display for initiator so tht he can see the changes req.
thn doc will opened in edit mode for initiator to make req changes.
thn it will agn go back to approver for approval.
he will agn get the decision screen with 2 buttons.
now while testing this....this all worked fine when approver clicked in button 'changes req' in decision box..after tht SOFM create worked fine.
But during 2nd time whn approver is checking the doc 2nd time and still he again wants some other changes to be done so he will agn click on button 'changes req'. this 2nd time tht SOFM-create is not working and wf goin to error as -
1. Notification of completion cannot be generated
2. Problems occurred when generating a mail
3.Error '9' when calling service 'SO_OBJECT_SEND'
4.Error handling for work item 000000006050
PLz suggest how this can be solved.

I think you might have to use the EDIT method of SOFM Business Object as you are going to change the existing document.

App.openDoc error in browser

I have created a javascript that I use to add links to a pdf that opens another pdf file. The script works fine in Acrobat and Reader, but not when the pdf is displayed through a web site using Internet Explorer. I set the disclosed attribute and have gone over the reference and forums. I attached the code, below. Does anybody have any ideas? Thank you.

Have you looked at the contents of the URI address for the link?
Is the URI address available to the user on the web?
Have you carefully read the JS Api Example 5 for the "app.openDoc()" method?

There is no merge but you can move data from one account to another via the Shared folder. Data is copied from Shared. Watch your free space when copying. These are large files. Do one at a time if you are on a small drive. After making copy, delete from other users before you start next copy.
Office365 installs in the main Applications folder and is available for all users on the computer. Activation is tied to the drive not the User.

How to print PDF few pages duplex but not all from one PDF Doc?

We have a desktop application that we use and it gives instructions to printer which document to duplex and which to not. For easy understanding, in a PDF if there are 10 pages, i want to take first two pages whenever they are printed they go on duplex rest of 8 pages should print without duplex. I have a PDF of these 10 pages document and want to send via email to one, so that if he has duplex printer, he just send that PDF doc to printer and it automatically send first two pages duplexed then rest of 8 pages per paper. So finally he get 9 printed hard copies. My question is, is there any capability in PDF document we can apply per page that when go on printer it instructs to printer to duplex me or not. Like we have PDF properties associated with doc. Can we setup such property for each page? I know this is not a good question, but our business requies to send PDF to customers and we do save this to do ourself, How customer know which page to duplex then?
If there is any automated solution we can give to customers? The PDF each page take decision by its own when going on printer it says i have to go on back of the paper and the other says i won't have to be duplexed?

I see that you are experiencing issues scanning from the ADF. The paper isn't being recognized. I would like to help you out today.
It might be a paper sensor or hardware issue with the printer.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Here is a document for cleaning the ADF rollers and the separator pad.

How do I arrange Pages doc so that page no.s work in duplex print?

Hope one of you bright sparks can help1 I agreed to take on the production/editing of my local village magazine. Created a template, put all the adverts/articles in without too much of a problem, being pretty new to Pages. However when I went to print it I had a problem that I cheated on by manually typing page numbers at the foot of each page.
What I need to do is print two A5 pages to each A4 sheet so that the magazine can be stapled as an A5. So what I effectively want to do is: put page 1 on the right & page 52 on the left, then page 2 on the left and page 51 on the right (so that this can be printed on the reverse of the first A4 sheet) etc. I have (rightly or wrongly) made each of the A5 pages a separate section. Does anyone have any advice as to how to easily accomplish (and have different margins for left and right hand pages) as this as it must be a common requirement?

Grid with BOLinkedObject will NOT open Invoices from 2nd Doc Sequence

I have a simple form with a grid. It displays either invoices/deliveries/orders which are open.
One of the columns is a LinkedObject to open the document.
The system has multiple document number sequences assign to different users based on the store location. That is Store A is range 10000000 to 1999999 and store 2 is 2000000 to 2999999 etc.
On the form the queries run correctly and the data is all bound etc
If on the list there are 2 documents
e.g. doc number 2 (which was created on the SAP original primary sequence)
and doc number 1000001 (created on Store A range)
The link will open the document 2 but provide an error message when doc number 1000001 is opened
"You are not permitted to preform this action [200-30]"
The addon is UI only not DI components.
This occurs running the addon through both visual studio and when installed.

Can't print duplex when using a CS2 doc in CS3

I can't print duplex when opening an old cs2 file in cs3, even when re-saving as a cs3 file. I can print duplex when creating a new document in cs3. The printer is a Xerox 242 Fiery. Any ideas?

I have the same problem with a DocuColor 5065 with firey. InDesign will never remeber the print settings for old CS 1 documents. New CS3 documents are fine. Only happens with this Fiery, all my other fierys work fine. Funny thing is even older documents (v1.5) remeber the print settings fine.
What I do to get around is to just send the file to the RIP, then change the print settings there to what I want then print.

HP LaserJet 4250 stalls on 2nd page of Duplex print

I work in a University IT Department where we maintain over 80 networked HP Laser printers, mostly HP LJ4250's with duplexers installed. When students send a "PDF" duplex print job, the printer quickly prints the first page and sucks it back into the printer to prepare the other side of the page, as designed. The problem is that it appears as tho the printer stalls and displays the processing message on the LCD screen. The page never spits out. If we turn the printer off and back on, the page will finally spit out, but without any print on the backside of the page.
We have tried to print by specifing the "Print as Image" option, but still the same results. We are at the point of telling students to waste paper and print single pages just so they don't have to stand there waiting for something that seems like it will never print.
Is this a fight between Adobe and HP? If so what can someone recommend other than waiting for Internet Explorer 9 and its version of reader?

Did anyone find anything on this? It's a problem that can be duplicated, and is very frustrating.
From what I have tested, the problem only exists on HP PCL Universal Drivers. I have not had it happen with with the PS drivers or the device specific drivers.
Furthermore, it seems that the second page on the PS driver re-queues or somthing, as there is a considerable lag on the print. The paper sits inside the duplexer for seveal seconds before printing the second page. It is without a doubt a driver issue in the PCL, as the Xerox Global PCL prints it just fine, but prints MS Word and outlook doucuments all wonky (as a xerox driver probably should on an HP printer).
JetDirect, Device Firmware, and Universal print drivers are all up to date on this system. And as I stated earlier, the problem can be duplicated.
