Duplicate albums in iphone music

Hi, I've just updated my iphone with some new music I've purchased and for some reason I have one album which is appearing twice. However, one of the folders only has some of the tracks in it. I think it's something to do with the cloud as the tracks that are missing have the cloud download symbol next to them (although they won't download and are trying to make me repurchase them) How do I get rid of the rogue album?

Here's the answer:
For these two particular artists, I not only had music on my iPhone -- I also had ringtones, some of which had the same song name. The problem stemmed from the fact that I did not also update the artist names for the ringtones. In my case, it was:
SONGS
Touch and Go - Would You...
Touch and Go - I Find You Very Attractive
Ali Dee and The Deekompressors - Go Speed Racer Go
RINGTONES
Touch And Go - Would You... (note the capital "A" in "And")
Touch And Go - I Find You Very Attractive (note the capital "A")
Ali Dee And The Deekompressors - Go Speed Racer Go (note the capital "A")
As soon as the songs got copied onto the iPhone, the "conflict" between them and the ringtones caused the duplication of albums in the list of albums. Once I adjusted the ringtones so that their artist names matched the artist names of the songs, the problem went away.
So, lesson learned. But Apple needs to handle this sort of thing better. Ringtones and songs should not "fight" with each other like this.

How can I change the order of albums on iphone music app?

Recently went through two iTunes updates that I feel are not in tune with how my music was sorted before. Prior to the first update (forgot how long ago it was and which version it was), under the music app on my iPhone 5S when you tapped on an artist the next page would display all albums under that artist separately. Meaning I was able to play one album at a time. After the update, now when you tap on an artist you get all the albums (with each song under each album) showing on one page all lumped together. I preferred playing each album separately, rather than having the following album play after the previous one. Well, I was able to get over that. That is until the most recent iOS update. Now the album orders reversed completely based on date of release. Whereas before the albums were listed in order based on release date, now the first album that shows up under each artist is sorted by the most current release. This is so ANNOYING; why do they keep changing things around? Is there any way to sort the order so that the albums are listed in order of when they were released?

IPhone 5C: Duplicate Albums and not capitalizing Artists?

Hello! I got my iPhone 5C for my upgrade on October 1st. My carrier is Sprint.
I've been trying to put my music back onto my phone that was previously on my iPod Touch, but there's a slight problem. I have an album duplication problem, as well as a capitalization problem.
As for the duplication, only one album is duplicated (I somehow fixed the other one), and it is only duplicated on my iPhone, not on iTunes. I'm positive the Artist and Album Artist are the same, as I'm a perfectionist and I want everything to be together, which is why this is bothering me so much. I've restored my iPhone 3 times and yet it's still duplicated, and I've taken the music on and off but with iOS 7 it's never really off, it just sits there and has the "Download from iCloud" button.
Whenever I play the songs in one of the duplicated albums, it says it's playing in the other album too. But I can also go through the songs of that album and play the first song in that album, go through the entire album, and then it'll play it again as if the album is on loop, but it's really just thinking there's two of the same album.
My capitalization problem is that for the band Blood On The Dance Floor, it thinks it's Blood On the Dance Floor. That really bothers me because that's not how it's supposed to be stylized but it won't change, even though on iTunes I have it written as Blood On The Dance Floor. Is there any way to fix this? Again, I have taken the music on and off and made sure that they're all written the way I want them to.

In case anyone was wondering - I finally sorted this issue.
In iTunes, some of the files within the album had data input in some of the 'sort by' fields of the 'sorting' tab on their info - this led to the duplicate albums appearing in our phones - deleted the sorting data and voila, problem solved

I have this problem with different albums in my music, it also appears on iTunes but it´s okey, the only problem is that It´s annoying to me to watch it all the time in my iphone while I am in the album and sometimes I touch it accidentalIy and all the songs aviable from the album pop out, one day I was too close to buy one , I just not want to complete those albums, I just want to quit that **** message
Is there any way to quit this? I was thinking to manipulate the original song in one way to disconect it from itunes, but I just do not know how, Any ideas?

This is easier solved outside of Acrobat. For example, if your clients download the PDF from a website, add a form with the text and an "I agree" button before you provide them the link to the file. Or if you send it to them by email, first send them an email to which they need to reply before getting the PDF.

Open iTunes app on your phone. go to Purchases. It may be in the more section, (The ellipsis icon over the word More). Tap Purchased. Tap Music. Tap Recent Purchases. Tap the iCloud icon next to the tracks you want to download. On my phone the songs were at the beginning of the list because I haven't purchased anything since it was announced this morning.

If the albums were placed on the phone by syncing from a computer using iTunes, the way to delete them is to sync again using iTunes but with different settings. After connecting the phone to the computer select the phone in iTunes and then on the Photos page of iTunes remove the checkmark in front of "Sync Photos From" (to delete all previously synced photos) or change the albums/folders selected if you only want to delete some. Sounds like a mouthful, but basically im saying that I have a bunch of compilations that when displayed in itunes on my pc,
show the album art which is set for the first track. This is to be expected.
But when i upload the compilations to my iPhone 5, and i open up the Music app and select the compilations tab...
The same compilations show another album art that is actually associated with another track in the compilation.
When i looked for a pattern, i found that it would basically take the album art from the track in the compilation based on the artists name in reverse alphabetical order.
So if i had album art associated with every track in the compilation, normally it would show in the listing the album art of the first track... but now it was actually the album art of the artist name starting closest to the letter z.
I've tested this many times. very annoying. but to explain again...
If i have a compilation containing artists from Coldplay to Ziggy Marley... no matter where in the listing Ziggy Marley is listed first to last... it will display the Album art associated to Ziggy Marley in the List view for the Compilations or Albums tab in the Music app on an iPhone 5.
Normally you would expect it to show the album art associated with the first track in the listing as it does in Itunes so as to keep uniformity between what you upload in iTunes and what you see in the Music app on the iPhone.
THIS IS A BUG APPLE!!!... test it for yourselves... someone broke your db sorting in the new itunes. ITunes 11, with iPhone 5

another note... when i select the album from the list (on the iphone, in the music app) and it slides over to show all tracks in the compilation...
it then shows the proper album art as it should.
Also, when i check cover flow it then shows another incorrect cover?

In my iTunes library there are 2 albums which appear to be duplicated on my iPhone.
In my iTunes library there is only one copy of the following two albums...
1. Armin Van Buuren - Imagine (11 tracks)
2. Armin Van Buuren - Shivers (10 tracks)
Yet on my iPhone these 2 albums are duplicated.
When viewing on the iPhone in coverflow, the albums appear as...
1. Armin Van Buuren - Imagine (11 tracks)
2. Armin Van Buuren - Shivers (10 tracks)
3. Armin Van Buuren - Imagine (11 tracks)
4. Armin Van Buuren - Shivers (10 tracks)
Even stranger, when viewing in Album view (phone held in potrait mode) one album appears 3 times...

And the other album appears 2 times...

I cannot work out what the **** is going on.

See One cover, too many tracks and One album, too many covers. A tiny spelling discrepancy in the Artist or *Album Artist* field is making one part of the iPod app see two copies of the album, the *Greatest Hits* "bug" then gives each copy of the album all of the tracks rather than just those with the matching value of Artist/Album Artist.

How do I delete a huge number of duplicate albums from my itunes for mac library?

I have a huge itunes music library, over 900 GB, and as it turns out I have a huge number of duplicate albums. Is there a way to automatically get rid of the duplicate albums so I am left with only one of each? If not, what is the best way to identify and remove my library's duplicate albums? Thanks!

iTunes does not have any automated way of deleting duplicates.
You can identify the duplicates by
View > Show Duplicates
or
Alt + View > Show exact Duplicates
(or if you are on windows Shift+ View > Show Exact duplicates
There is a third party tol which is free to download and then register. Although the copy I tried worked fine as a trial download

I have a few duplicate photo albums in the "Photos" app on my iPhone. They are not duplicated in iPhoto, only "Photos." Can anyone tell me how to delete the duplicate albums from the "Photos" app? Thank you.

Managing Albums on iPhone 4S

Only had my iPhone for a few weeks. I synced some photos to the iPhone with iTunes, but ended up with duplicate Albums under different Album names somehow. I can't find any way to manage Albums in iTunes. Photos don't appear under the iPhone device in the left pane of iTunes or anywhere else. If videos on the phone are displayed in iTunes, why not photos ?

If the photos came from the computer, you have to de-select on computer and then do a sync.
If the photos were taken with the iPhone camera, in Photos app > tap photo then tap trash icon (bottom right).

How can I better optimize my iPhone music collection?

Right now I'm having the following issues with my iPhone music.
-For some reason, the albums are combining randomly (ie A Day To Remember music all in just one album, but over 50 songs that aren't same album)
-Most of my album art is not following upon syncing, while some of it does follow after sync.
If I can get any help with this situation, I'd be totally grateful. I switched to Apple because I thought iTunes made everything much easier/better.. These issues I am not okay with. I'm using iPhone 5 with most recent updated software.

Copy the entire iTunes folder from your old computer to your new one using one of the methods discussed here: iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer. If you no longer have the old computer and you have to transfer it from your phone, you will have to purchase and use third-party software to extract the music from your phone, such as Touch Copy or CopyTrans.
