Duplicate appointments and problems synching calendar

I am using Outlook 2003 and the Blackberry Curve with v4.2.2.180 software. I don't use Enterprise Server.
When I synch my BB with Outlook, it has started to do a few odd things. First, it wants to delete items from my Outlook. Second, it changed the title of a recurring appointment for no apparent reasons. I have for the purposes of fixing things tried to set the configuration so it only records deletes or moves on the BB and set the Advance configuration so that conflicts are always resolved in favor of Outlook, but when I synch, it still wants to delete 22 items from my Outlook calendar and add a bunch of others.
How can I get it to properly synch?
Should I erase the calendar on the BB and then start from Outlook? How do I do that?

The following peocess corrects the calendar entry:
edit the contact & change the birthday, save the change; edit the contact & change the birthday to the correct value, save the change again. The calendar entry then displays on the correct date. Alternatively as a temp solution I can just de-select the "birthdays" calendar which stops the icon being displayed.
Thanks for your advice, I think that it's n going to be a slow process to fix all the entries for not much return.

Once you click to open it, in the menu bar at the top, click File, then Print:
Then you should see the window pictured in my first post here. In that window, click Continue after selecting the date you want to print (under the Time range header), and then it will ask you which printer to print to. Click Print and that's all.

Problems synching Calendar entries..Negative Duration Error, Connector Specific Error...

We've got 9 new Blackberry 8110 handsets and one of them is giving us problems when it tries to synch Tasks from Outlook.
In particular if the user say changes a Due Date on a Task entry in Outlook when he connects the phone and it begins to synch he gets the following message:
"The appointment or task record you are about to save has negative duration. Please check start/end date/times"
I've checked the start/end dates for the task in Outlook and they are there - Tasks don't have durations.
In addition at the end of the synch process it gives the following error:
"connector specific error" with just an Ok button to click on.
this ends up with the tasks all messed up on both devices and totally not sync'd.
I've tried the obvious things - different usb cable, deleting the Tasks database from the desktop software advanced options and re-synching.
It synch's ok the first time on an empty phone database but if you make any changes to Outlook it messes it up.

On tasks check if the BB Tasks are setup in a category; TASKS/MENUKEY/FILTER
Also go to OPTIONS/VIEWS/SORT BY select date. Make sure all tasks that are in progress or waiting have valid dates.
Make sure the tasks are setup up in Outlook the same way.

Calendar duplicate appointments AND recurrent alerts:

Two main problems with the CALENDAR APP that comes with iPad:
1. Despite reading what advice I can find in Apple sources, I cannot stop a newly added appointment appearing twice in the calendar. I have mine synced through MobileMe.
2. Cannot get an appointment to recurr on say a 4 week cycle. there seems to be a limit to only 2 weeks for recurrences. How can that be fixed?

You don't want to set syncing of the calendar (in settings) on the iPad AND define a MobileMe account that syncs the calendar - that will duplicate events if you sync both.
I have no problem setting 2-week, monthly, or yearly and half-yearly repeats of events (I generally set them on the mac, but they work correctly on the Ipad when synced via MM).

Outlook 2007 and trouble synching calendar

As a help to those of you who have experienced the total frustration of trying to synch Outlook 2007 appointments with your BB - I was able to figure out what was happening with mine, and perhaps this will help others:
I found that the appointments that WERE NOT synching were the ones that were on my shared calendar - who woulda thunk? I didn't put them on the shared calendar - but, there they were and they did not synch.
Once I moved them to my personal calendar, they synched up perfectly.
Hope this helps someone out there.

Problem synching calendar to 5gen iPod nano (Vista Home Premium SP2)

My iPod 5gen nano will not sync my Outlook 2010 calendar, and thus my To Do Lists, which I use for college. I am using iTunes 10.1.0.54 on Vista SP2, I get error messages on some occasions, (one stating something about logging in or out of Windows?) and crashes on others. I really need my calendar to sync.

You posted to the wrong area of discussions. This is the 5th Generation iPod group (the video full sized iPods that were released previous to the "Classic" models). If you are asking a Nano question, you want to post to this area...

Duplicate messages and problems receiving group text

My moto x periodically sends out duplicate text. I also cant receive replies to group messages. I have deleted all old threads and cleared cache. I have uninstalled the Verzion messenger app and reinstalled. Not sure what else to try! Unfortunately, I need these functions for my job. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's stopt these duplicate messages n2olowe! We want to get to the bottom of the issue first. When did the issue start? Do recall if it started after installing a particular app, or software update? Does your phone send duplicates to specific contacts only or all contacts? Have you enabled other SMS applications on your phone, like Hangouts, etc?

Newest version of itunes and problems synching

So I just updated itunes and when I tried to update my ipod (classic 80GB) a few days later itunes froze after synching only a few songs. It is only itunes which is freezing, my computer and ipod are fine. I have tried restoring my ipod an repairing itunes but nothing is helping.

The ModName is objc.dll
The ModVer is 1.435.14.16
Perfect. The iTunes launch error looks to be being caused by trouble with an Application Support dll (iTunes needs a properly working Apple Application Support in order to work properly).
We maaaaay be able to get past this without having to reinstall iTunes ... but it's going to depend on what version of Apple Application Support you have installed. (There was a bug in early versions of AAS which would prevent the trick I have in mind from working.)
Can you check something for me?
Open your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select the Apple Application Support entry. Click on the "Click here for support information" link.
In the little box that shows up, is your Apple Application Support version number *1.2.0 or higher?*
(The trick I have in mind doesn't work reliably for versions 1.0.1 or 1.1.0, unfortunately.)

Problem synching calendars with iPad.

Bought an iPad. Upgraded Mac Pro OS to Lion. Had rather elaborate calendars in iCal. Things were synching okay until I decided to synch using iCloud. Now somehow I've lost most of the calendar entries on both devices. (sigh) Couldn't find any iCal arkive files or iCal backup files from the past using Time Machine. Am I toast?

Problem synching iPod and Outlook calendars

When I sync my iPod (Gen5 60GB) and Outlook calendars, I get a time discrepancy starting October 29, 2006 (the day DST ends). All appointments on my iPod calendar display 1 hour later than in Outlook.
Has anyone else had/solved this problem?

Yes I am having the same issue. I wish I had not upgraded to 7 because not only I am not able to synch contact (all of them and calendar) I also lost all playlists, movies, original contacts, etc. I cannot reach anyone in phone support and the "genuises" in the store don't have a clue except that they know there are bugs! Why release the **** thing if there are significant problems?
I hope someone has a solution!!

Synch Calendars IPHONE and OUTLOOK 2003: Appointments 1 hour difference

I have an IPHONE 3G, Software 2.1. I´m in Brazil, Sao Paulo, DST on. To solve the problem of 1 hour difference when I synch calendars with my outlook 2003, I had to change the Time Zone Management in IPHONE to another city, in Brasil (Recife) wich doesn´t use DST. This is OK, but do I have to make this procedure everytime I have a DST change? Does anybody know how to fix it? Version 2.2 will correct this ?

I just noticed the same thing!! i had given up on syncing my iPhone with my work computer running Outlook (only syncing to iCal at home), and then with version 2.2 i hoped that it might work better.
just synced to Outlook, and all my appointments that were on the iPhone were set to one hour earlier. Outlook time zone is set correctly, with automatic adjustment for DST. my iPhone is set to Date & Time automatic. haven't played around with resetting to manual.
i ended up adjusting all the events that were incorrect in Outlook - moving them up an hour, resynced, and now every thing is an hour late!!!
may have to give up on syncing Outlook again, and just sync with iCal.

Hi I am also in the UK, but not with Tiscali and am having the exact same problems. I can also send with wifi, but not 3G. I have tried amending all sorts of settings, including those above and amending the smtp server to the settings for my provider, but all to no avail.
It is thoroughly frustrating, as I cannot send emails unless I have wifi access.
Any further suggestions would be very welcome.

Calendar and MobileMe Synch Time Problem

I am having a problem with Calendar when it synchs with MobileMe all times are 1 houur forward. For exmaple, the event time in MobileMe is 9am but when it synchs with Calendar the time is 10am.
The setting are:
MobileMe: UTC +00 London
iPhone: Time Zone Support is On and London Time Zone
Does anyone have any advice?

I believe that this issue is due to the Daylight Saving Time change.
MobileMe: UTC +00 London
This option is correct but can't deal with that Daylight Saving Time change.
iPhone: Time Zone Support is On and London Time Zone
The iPhone User Guide states, +"When Time Zone Support is on, Calendar displays event dates and times in the time zone of the city you selected. When Time Zone Support is off, Calendar displays events in the time zone of your current location as determined by the network time."+
Does anyone have any advice?
First, set the option in 'General > Date & Time' to 'Set Automatically'. Then set the option in 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' to 'Time Zone Support On' and 'London Time Zone'.
If that doesn't work then use 'Brute-Force' and change MobileMe to UTC +1:00.

Ovi Suite Synch Problem - Outlook Calendar and Not...

No problem with Synch ie contacts etc. However Ovi refuses to synch my calendar and notes. The message is to reinstall Outlook of Fix Synch - I have done both but nothing to it, Ovi will not Synch Calendar and Notes... What can I do ? Obviously synching my calendar is paramount if the phone is to be of any use to me. I have an E7.

Are you using latest nokia ovisuite i.e 3.1.0.91?
